Needle Page 16

by Jade Kuzma

We all agreed that the Spades had to be taken out. Since they were on the outskirts of town, we could get the job done without worrying about anybody catching us.

The plan was to get in from every angle then get out before anybody noticed we were there. We had enough numbers with both clubs that we wouldn’t have to be worried about being outnumbered.

Everything was set for tomorrow night. An extra day gave everybody a chance to relax and get their minds right. It would be the last time the Spades would be on my mind.

I spent that night in my apartment, relaxing on my couch after having a few beers. I laid there in the darkness of my living room, waiting for the time to pass.

I was drifting off to sleep when a sudden knock on my door woke me up. I grabbed my pistol off my coffee table and slowly walked up to the door.

“Blake? Are you there? It’s me.”

I would have recognized that voice anywhere.

I breathed a sigh of relief then opened the door for her.

  “Hey…”

She smiled softly at me. She looked as gorgeous as she always did. I couldn’t help but smile back at her, despite the mood I was in.

“Can I come in?” she asked. “I… I need to talk to you.”

With the threat of the Spades almost done with, I figured there was no harm in letting her inside.

I opened the door for her then set my gun down before collapsing on my couch.

“You want something to drink?” I asked.

  “No, I…”

She giggled softly to herself, sheepishly looking down at the ground.

“…I won’t be drinking for a long time. Maybe not ever again…”

  “Why? What’s wrong?”

She was nervously tugging at her fingers. It was obvious some shit was on her mind but I wasn’t gonna push her. If she had something to say, I’d let her say it only if she wanted to.

“Why don’t you have a seat?” I said.

  “Right… Of course…”

She sat down on the couch next to me, her face still down as she looked at the ground.

Her demeanor might have been different but she looked the same as she always did. There was just enough light coming into my living room so I could see the contours of her face, free from any makeup.

“Is it usually this dark in here?” she asked.

“I was just drifting off to sleep. It’s tomorrow night but I figure I should get as much rest as possible.”

“Jordan told me what you guys were planning on. I promise I’ll give you your space. I know you don’t want me around. This will only take a second—”

  “You misunderstood me.”

I reached forward and took her hand in mine. She slowly turned her face up, her lips quivering as she smiled at me.

“I want you around,” I said. “I want you around more than anybody. But being around me… Right now… It’s not a good place for you. Not with the Spades still out there.”

“But that’ll change after tonight, won’t it? There’d be no reason we couldn’t be together.”

“If we handle the Spades, it’d make things easier. But… I don’t think your brother would be too happy about it. He doesn’t like me very much.”

“I know,” she said with a giggle.

She pulled her hand from mine and reached up to my face. She trailed her fingers along my eyebrow, caressing my injury, courtesy of her brother.

  “Does it hurt?” she asked.

“I’ve had worse. Just a couple of stitches. It’s not a big deal.”

She grinned. I couldn’t imagine what she was thinking. My face was scuffed from the fight I was in. I figured she wasn’t as attracted to me as she usually was but she leaned forward and kissed me softly on the lips suddenly.

I let her tongue guide its way into my mouth but she suddenly pulled away from me.

She turned her face but I put a hand on her chin and turned her back toward me.

  “What’s wrong?” I asked. “Tell me…”

She nodded then sighed a deep breath.

“I talked to my brother,” she said. “He understands.”

  “What does he understand?”

  “That you two are alike.”

I couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

  “We’re not alike,” I said.

“You are. You just don’t want to admit it. You two even laughed the same way when I brought it up.”

“Why would you say something like that?”

“Because I know him. And I know you. You… You loved your brother.”

She put her hand up and trailed it along my arm. I wasn’t wearing a shirt, so it was easy for her to glide her soft palm against my skin. Just her touch was enough to make me forget about everything I was thinking.

“You loved your brother just as much as he loves me,” she said. “You would do anything for him… for Jack. And Jordan would do anything for me.”

“I suppose I respect him for that,” I sighed.

“Then you understand that it’s not about you or Jordan or even me.”

“Then what is this all about?”

  “It’s about… It’s about us.”

“Katrina… After tomorrow night, I don’t know if there’ll be an us.”

  “There will be.”

She trailed her hand up my arm and across my shoulder. She guided her fingers across the ink on my body until she was lingering her hand across my cheek.

“Do you remember why I was at the doctor the other day?” she asked.

“How could I forget something like that?”

“I wasn’t feeling well. I told him what my symptoms were. He ran a few tests then…”

Her throat shifted with a swallow. My eyes widened slightly in curiosity.

  “Then what?” I asked.

“Then he told me why I was feeling sick.”

  “And why is that?”

  “Because I…”

She stared into my eyes. The look on her face was a combination of emotions I couldn’t figure out.

  “…Because I’m pregnant.”

The words hit me like a sledgehammer. I was sitting on my couch in front of her but it felt like I was in a dream.

  “It’s yours,” she said.

I shifted my eyes left and right, like I was trying to find the right words to say. But how the fuck could I find the right words to say? It wasn’t often you heard some shit like that.

  “Are you sure?” I asked.

“He’s a doctor,” she said with a giggle. “There’s a possibility he’s wrong but it’s very small. All the tests came back positive.”

  “Right…”

Her hand still across my face, Katrina leaned forward and whispered.

“You’re not upset, are you?” she asked.

I bit my lip when she said it. A flood of emotions washed over me. I could only imagine what my eyes looked like to her, glazed over as I held back my tears.

  “I’m not upset,” I said. “I… I couldn’t be happier.”

“I’m glad. I… I know we didn’t plan this but there’s no other man I’d rather be with than you.”

She moved closer to me. Her scent consumed me. Her touch made me shake. My throat suddenly went dry as I tried to deal with everything.

“I know that you have to do what you’re going to do tomorrow night,” she whispered. “But promise me that you’re going to come back. You have to get through this. I don’t want our child not to be with his father. I want you to be there for him—”

  “Katrina.”

I put my hands up and cupped her face.

She was the woman I fell for when I first saw her. She was the woman who pulled a lust out of me I couldn’t control. She was the woman I craved every single fucking time she was near me.

She was an angel that came down from Heaven just for me. And she’d never looked more beautiful than she did now, so close to me and carrying my child.

  “Katrina, I love you.”
>
“I love you, Blake. Do what you have to do tomorrow night. But you come back, okay? Promise me. Promise me that you’ll—”

“I promise you. I promise the both of you.”

I leaned forward and kissed her. I kissed her deeper than I ever had before. My tongue swirled into her mouth. My hands caressed her.

The truth was, I didn’t know what was going to happen tomorrow night. But that didn’t matter. All that mattered was right now, being with her.

We didn’t say another word to each other. We just let our bodies take control.

We kissed as we peeled our clothes off one another. Piece by piece, our outfits, ended up scattered around my living room. As she sat on my lap, her body bare to me, she never looked more amazing than she did now.

A perfect pair of tits. Silky brown hair. Tender skin. A pussy just aching for me. And a belly just beginning to swell.

I looked her up and down, examining her body like the piece of Heaven she was. She stared back at me with a knowing lust in her eyes.

My cock was so hard but I would have gladly just shared this moment with her like this.

She had other plans though. We both knew we couldn’t hold back what we felt between us. The passion that brought us together only made us want more of each other.

She grabbed my shaft and guided it inside of her. My cock plunged into her wet pussy, stretching out her tightness. I gripped her waist and braced myself as the pleasure started to consume me.

Being inside of Katrina never got old. It didn’t hurt that she knew exactly how to work it. She grinded her body up and down, bouncing her body on my shaft in a slow and controlled rhythm.

She put her hands around my neck and kept herself in the right position. She rubbed her clit against my hilt as she took every inch of my cock.

I moved my hands to the small of her back and let her lean back. I moved forward and sucked on her tits as she continued to ride me.

In the darkness of my living room, we consummated our union again. There might have been another obstacle in front of us keeping us apart but there was nothing to stop us from satisfying our emotions.

I wanted her. Every layer of her skin. Every strand of her hair. Every sopping inch of her wet pussy. I had to have her like nothing else in my life.

  “Blake…”

She sighed my name. Her eyes closed, her breasts bouncing up and down before me, she was an angel singing the chorus from Heaven.

Her breath started to increase. Sweat made her skin glow. She made my body lose control.

I started bucking my hips up and into her. I impaled her with my cock, slamming the base of my cock and my balls against her folds. She started whimpering uncontrollably.

Her body started to shake underneath my grip. Her nails dug into the back of my neck as she tried desperately to fight the inevitable.

  “Blake… Blake…”

She moved forward and cradled my head against her chest. She rotated her hips, taking every inch of my cock while she bounced her ass in my lap. I could feel her getting close just the same as I was.

I pressed my forehead against hers and looked her right in the eye. I stared into her pupils. I saw everything I ever wanted looking back at me. All of my emotions, all of my feelings, every single fucking thing I cared about was right here in front of me.

  “Katrina…”

I whispered into her mouth as I lost myself. I squeezed her waist and came hard. My cock exploded inside of her. Thick throbs of cum splashed against her insides, making it easier for my cock to slide against her walls.

She whimpered softly before her breaths caught in her throat. A sudden violent trembling signaled her orgasm. I held her down as she trembled in my grip. Muscles spasming. Body jerking. Katrina was the picture of the angel she always was.

I fell back onto my couch after we finished coming together. She fell forward and rested comfortably against my chest.

We rested on my couch, bodies sweating as we tried to catch our breath.

I didn’t know what was going to happen tomorrow night. It was more dangerous than anything I’d ever done. But I was going to keep the promise I’d made to her. This wasn’t just about the lust we had between us any longer. This was about us.

I wasn’t going to let anybody take that away from me.

  Chapter 23

  BLAKE

From the information we gathered, there were 13 Spades in total, one for every Spade in a deck of cards. Of course, the Spades were a bat-shit crazy supremacist group, so there was no telling if those numbers were accurate. There could have been a dozen more jokers waiting for us if we weren’t ready.

I’d killed four of the Spades who attacked me, meaning there were at least nine more men waiting for us.

If those numbers held, that meant the Cobras would give us enough men to compete with them. But just because we had an advantage didn’t mean we could be reckless. We were going to their hideout. We would be on their turf. We had a meeting just the night before but they could have discovered our plan if the information somehow leaked.

We had to be ready for anything…

  * * *

It was late into the night when both crews headed to the outskirts. More than 10 bikers rode out of Ivory and headed to the destination. We didn’t ride in one big group, because that would have drawn too much attention. It took some time but we eventually made it to the location Ghost and I had scouted some time ago.

The Spades hideout was a makeshift shithole that you wouldn’t have paid any attention to if you didn’t know what it was. A couple of storage warehouses in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a bunch of trees and dusty roads. It was the perfect place for a bunch of lunatic skinheads to do their business.

I stood behind some brush with the rest of the Reapers as Garnet went over the plan.

“Sullivan and Petey, you guys stick back here, in case someone comes from behind us. Brawn, you watch my back while I flank from the left. Ghost, Needle, you two head around the last storage warehouse. That’s where the bulk of them should be.”

“Harris will be bringing some of his guys with us,” Ghost said to me. “We kick in the door and every skinhead you see—”

“I start shooting,” I said. “I get it.”

“Brawn and I will make sure that they can’t get through if they try to escape,” Garnet added. “We’ll also make sure that there aren’t any assholes hiding where we’re not looking.”

The entire club was staring at Garnet as he gave us our final orders.

“These assholes tried to kill Needle,” he said. “They put Michelle in a hospital. Let’s make these motherfuckers pay.”

We all nodded and headed toward our destinations. Ghost and I made our way around the hideout until we got to the back. Hiding behind some trees, I saw Harris with a couple of his men waiting for us.

“What took you so long?” Harris said to me.

“Shut the fuck up. We’re here.”

  “Are you ready?”

I looked at Ghost one last time to get his confirmation. He nodded and I turned back to Harris.

  “We’re ready.”

“Remember,” Harris said. “We wipe these guys out and that’ll be the end of it.”

“I know what’s at stake. Just make sure you do your part.”

“You know damn well I’m not about to let these punks ruin a good thing.”

Harris gave me a smirk. It was the first time I could remember he gave me anything close to a smile. Right now wasn’t the time to be his friend though. Right now, I had to make sure this plan went through.

I had a promise to keep. Nothing was going to stop me from keeping it.

  “Let’s go,” Harris whispered.

He led us toward the building in the distance. We all had our guns drawn. I had two pistols up, ready for anything that might happen. As we got closer to the storage warehouse, I could hear the sound of chatter inside. The laughter told me they weren’t expecting us at all.

We all got up next to the wall where the backdoor was. Harris leaned up next to the door and looked at me. I gave him one last nod to confirm what we were doing.

He slowly reached forward on the door handle and turned it. He pulled on the door lightly then shoved it open.

  “Go!”

Harris and I both rushed into the room with our guns drawn. The rest of the club members followed behind us.

The skinheads weren’t ready for us. All I saw was a split-second of surprise before I started squeezing. Gunfire and smoke filled the room as we lit up every bastard there. A fun night of cards for them turned into a bloodbath.

None of them even had a chance to pull out their weapons.

  “Count!” I shouted.

We searched the room and examined all of the bodies. They were barely moving, lying in pools of their own blood as the last bit of life they had drained from them.

“Seven,” Ghost said. “There are seven.”

“That means there are at least two more—”

  Bang. Bang. Bang.

The sound of gunshots in the distance interrupted me.

  “Garnet,” I said. “Brawn…”

Ghost and I raced through the storage room toward the next warehouse.

The sound of more gunshots filled the air and echoed into the night sky.

As soon as we got to the next storage warehouse, we saw Brawn sitting and leaning up against the wall. His hand pressed down on his leg. I could see the blood gushing through his fingers.

“Garnet,” he said, stone-faced. “He went after two of ‘em. Go get ‘em.”

“You go,” Ghost said to me. “I have to get Brawn back to Ivory now. Before it’s too late.”

  “Go!” I shouted.

I left the both of them behind and made my way through the storage warehouse. The place was nearly empty, but there was a chance that one of them was lurking in the darkness.

“Come on…” I muttered. “Where are these motherfuckers?”

I kept running until I made my way through the other side of the storage warehouse. Just as I got outside, I saw two punks getting on their bikes.

  “Shit!”
