“Why?” Cullen asks in pain.
“You know why. You and your people took our place. I have planned for this moment for a very long time” replied Samven.
“I said that I would stand with you till the end and I have. I have stood with you till the end. Your end!” he added.
As Cullen is about to drop down, Samven comes and holds him.
“I am sorry friend, but only one of our races could survive this. I had to pick mine. Before you die, I also need you to know that you failed in your mission to solve the mystery of Wovia because it was not Andreas who was responsible for what happened at Wovia and the appearance of the Necros. It was me!” said Samven.
He then pushes him off the wall as he falls down. Isabela runs towards him in tears.
“Get up” she says.
“You can’t die here. You still haven’t seen our daughter. Vallery is waiting for you. She is waiting to see her father. So is Leliana. Please get up” she adds while weeping.
“I love you. Protect our daughters” said Cullen with his last breath.
Isabela tries to wake him up but it is of no use as she eventually understands that he is gone.
Samven comes over and tells her that it wasn’t personal and that he is truly sorry.
“Why did you do it?” asked Isabela.
“I am sorry for what you are going through but this is beyond you” replied Samven.
“My race of people were here before you or the Arkhenians. We are almost as old as we know time but we were never given our rights. The gods never gave us the chance to rule this world. There was always something which they threw in between. Then when their time came to go, they created your kind to rule this world and told us to nurture you. Later they wanted to see if you deserve to rule or not so they created those monsters known as the Necros. When that plan failed, then they created the Arkhenians to bring balance to the world by giving them all the power in the world. Then they left without even considering what all that power would do if it falls in the wrong hands. In all of that, they never even saw us worthy enough to rule when in reality our race was so much superior to all other of their creations. My race is the only one who has never caused any problems in this world. Without giving us our right, Cullen decided to wipe out races like mine. Why? Because one of his brothers failed him. So I decided long ago that if the right to rule will not be given to me then I will take. I was the one who was responsible for everything. I told my daughter to feed poison in King Morrigan’s mind so that he creates a civil war. I was the one who went to the ruins of the Necros Empire and brought one of those Levnaks so that he could make me something which looks similar to the Necros. I was responsible for Wovia. I told them to poison Solas so that he has enough time before reaching Cullen. The dragon which took him there was also mine but Cullen was foolish enough not to suspect why it did not take him to my kingdom. He trusted me too much, and I took advantage of it. I was responsible for everything. I could not kill Cullen earlier because then Andreas would take his place so I needed them to kill one of the other. I knew how much hatred was inside Andreas for his brother so I needed Cullen to leave Arkhen so that Andreas can manipulate the rest of the Arkhenians to join him. My plan lead to the division between those brothers. Now there is no rightful Arkhen King so no Arkhenian can sit on the throne. I am the most powerful being in the world now and I will make the entire world to bend the knee before my kind” Samven added.
“You will pay with your life for all of this” replied Isabela.
She takes her sword and attacks him but he is easily able to defend himself. Amos, Robin and many other of their surviving army join her but the elves outnumber them heavily. Amos tells Isabela to go but she refuses to listen. He then holds her arm and takes her away from the battle as she manages to pick up the Arkhen crown. They make their way down the walls as Robin defends them from the elves.
“You have to go. We will hold them off” Amos tells Isabela.
Isabela is still reluctant to leave and wants to kill Samven but Amos says she will not even get close to him before getting killed.
“We cannot win this battle. We will not even get close to him. I know you want revenge but this is not how we do it. Think about Leliana and Vallery. Samven will go to them after this that is why you have to get there before him so that you can keep them safe. Take Noxa and go. We will hold them off. We do not have time. Please listen” he said.
“Why did it all had to end this way?” Isabela asks in tears.
“This is not the end. As long as Vallery lives, we will have a chance to win this but now is not the time. Just know that it was an honour to call you our queen” replied Amos also in tears.
Isabela hugs him and Robin and tells them that it was also an honour for her to fight alongside them. She then takes Noxa and flies towards Selux as Cullen’s dragons defend her from Samven’s dragons who try to chase them. Amos and Robin join the fight with the elves but only come to face with their death.
Samven makes his way towards the Arkhen throne after the victory. He takes sit and says that finally, the time for his people has come.
“Thousands of years of suffering but now our time has come” he said.
“Take our two dragons and chase her down. She took the Arkhen crown. It may not be any use to me but it will be to her daughter. Find them and kill them all” he commands.
At Selux, Isabela asks Bernard to take his daughters to a safe place but tells him not to inform her where they are. He asks what will she do but she does not answer. She then asks Leliana to promise her that she will always protect her little sister no matter what.
“I will mother but why are you not coming with us?” Leliana asks.
“It is not safe. I also have some other things to do but when the time is right, I promise you that we will meet again” Isabela replied.
She then hugs her in tears and asks Emilia to protect them like they are her own daughters. She agrees as Bernard and Emilia leave with Leliana and Vallery not telling anyone where they are going. Then Isabela as well after taking a last look at her kingdom, leaves for the north. She never knew that it would come down to this but promises herself that she will take it all from Samven once again.
At the ruins of the Necros Empire, Renx and Lorz see their lord leave the cave for the first time. They ask him why today as he tells them that it is finally their time to rise again.
“The wait is over. Our time has come. No Arkhen king is sitting on the throne. It is time to awake the bringer of rain” he says with an evil laugh.
