“How can you not see your own female’s anatomy?”
“They have lain over me. Stretched out. They are heavy but the feeling is pleasant. It’s always over too fast.”
“Pleasant? Sounds like they ride you like a prize bull, then take off after the allotted seconds.”
“Prize bull?”
“Never mind. Do you kiss or anything?”
“What’s a kiss?”
“Oh, brother.”
Zuri pulled herself up higher. She traced his full blue lips with her fingers. She had always thought they would be cold because of their color. Warmth met her skin. The feel of his hard face wasn’t unpleasant, just different. He was more solid than any body builder she had seen. Kobe’s breath was increasing as she roamed her hands over him. Her small fingers were so white compared to his skin tone. The thick fur covering his chest and shoulders were like lamb’s wool. His broad, bare arms were steel, and she traced her way down to the fur circles that wrapped around his wrists.
His arousal made him feel warmer. His fur oozed heat, enough heat to feel comfortable stripping off her t-shirt too press closer. She sank her fingers into his furry chest liking the hard maleness beneath. Zuri had never been with anyone so powerful. It was thrilling.
“I feel like I’m battling,” Kobe’s voice was incredulous. “My heart is pounding, I’m energized and yet I haven’t taken a single swing. What are you doing to me?”
“Before I let you inside of me I want to know your body.”
“Well, shit, do I get to know yours?”
Zuri chuckled. Pushing her body a slight distance from his, she placed his hand on one of her breasts as his thick hair yielded some of its hold. Kobe was hesitant at first. His large hands massaged in round circles.
“So soft. Our females have breasts when they lactate. They are fur covered and hard, filled with milk. Only the nipple is pliable.”
“When you Holiday they have no breasts?”
“No.”
Zuri studied him for a moment. “Well I guess I could see why. Your teeth are razor sharp. It would hurt if you bit me.”
“Your males are allowed to put a female’s breast in their mouth? A grown male?”
“Only if he’s careful,” she stressed.
“I wish to do this.”
“But your teeth…”
Zuri gasped when Kobe gripped her under her arms and lifted her higher, dipped his head and mouthed her breast. Her fingers sunk into his shoulders. Only his tongue roamed across her, his lips covered his teeth. For a second he let her breast go and lifted his face to meet her gaze. He was wearing a cocky smile.
“Zargonnii males are born with teeth. A babe learns fast if he bites his mother it will be a long time before she lets him suckle again.”
Once more his head dipped and her entire breast was in his mouth. Zuri relaxed. She shifted her legs to straddle him, feeling his enormous erection under her ass. Her wrap slipped from around her hips with her motion. The tiny panties she wore shifted. She moved against him, her rocking lowering his pants until his cock sprung free. The fur on his balls tickled, but his cock was hard, thick, and smooth. Her lower lips spread to let her juices make him slippery. Not in a million years had she ever thought she would be riding an alien.
Kobe’s crooning turned into a guttural growl, he tensed. His head snapped up, his hands tightened painfully on her. Zuri screamed when he roared. She could feel his body expand underneath her, he was in battle mode. For a terrifying second she thought he meant to battle her but his gaze was behind her. Almost too afraid to look Zuri peered back and screamed. The creature was hideous. The being standing there was barrel-chested and was covered in a mop of red hair. It stood on its hind legs, a good three inches taller than Zuri. Black, beady, startled eyes stared right at her. From its squishy pig nose green mucus slid to soak the lower half of its face.
Zuri was thrust sideways when Kobe went at the being with a vengeance. Two fistfuls of fur found their way into his hands and the being squealed in terror as Kobe smashed it repeatedly against the sides of the cave walls. Zuri winced when she heard its bones crunch. Razor sharp claws scratched at Kobe to no avail. Three fins, shark-like, sprung from its back in an effort to protect itself. Kobe’s muscles bulged, skin stretching to its limit. Zuri had never seen him so big. All three fins snapped off when Kobe rammed the being against the ground. The battle was over in seconds, the being was no match for Kobe. With a final heave he tossed the being so far from the cave Zuri never saw it land.
When Kobe turned, Zuri was frozen to the spot. The cold had once more seeped into her body but she went icy solid by his menacing stare. His red eyes glowed brighter lighting his infuriated gaze.
“I am the dominant, you are mine to protect.” Kobe’s growled words didn’t make her feel any better. “We can start again.”
“Not in battle mode,” she countered.
Zuri’s bravado was faltering as he strode toward her. She backed up. When he stood before her his chest was heaving with exertion. She had forgotten how scary he was when at his full height and found it hard to believe this massive being had ever been dominated.
“You need to calm down, Kobe.” Kobe stepped back, face tilted to the cave ceiling and roared again. He made a formidable looking warrior. “Kobe you’re too big and too strong.”
He seemed to be struggling with his emotions. “No female has ever said that to me.”
“Well, I’m saying it. I just saw you rip a monster apart.”
“Before we came in here I smelled the bangor. But the cave was empty. A bangor can’t hurt me. I’m certain it was positive I would share my meal with him.”
“Meal?” Zuri gulped.
“You.”
“You do look like you’re about to eat me.”
“Just taste. I like to look at your bare body, but I see you shaking. Warring makes me hot; it makes my blood pump faster. Let me warm you up.”
Zuri nodded. She stood half frozen in the cave in only her tiny panties. She removed them, gliding them down her hips, not to tease but to give him more time to gain control. Kobe’s pants hit the ground after he tossed his boots. His body was slowly slipping from battle mode, all but his huge erection. His cock was straight up; his stallion-sized balls were full.
Kobe reached for her, wrapping her in his arms, lifting her higher. His entire body shook when he lowered her onto his cock. Zuri gasped then groaned as he pushed her lower. She hugged his hips with her knees. Her chest sunk into his warmth.
“I want to see you.”
Kobe’s gruff, growling tone changed her attention from his cock back to his sheer strength. His large hands slipped under her arms, pulling her body down over the length of his forearms and biceps. Fascinated he watched as her body accepted him then slid away, then back. Zuri was just as mesmerized. He remained standing, without putting any weight on her. His hands cradled her neck and head. She gripped his forearms tightly. The warmth of his body and the pounding of his hips saturated her in her own sweat.
Zuri cried out as Kobe moved faster. His hands tightened until she moaned, telling him she couldn’t go anywhere. She knew he had come, she was so slippery. Still he moved, growling and grunting. She lay unmoving in his arms, spent. Finally, Kobe slowed his brutal pace, his body savored hers. By the time Kobe dropped to his knees, his hair encircled them both. He pulled from her. The last thing Zuri felt as she fell asleep was a sweet kiss to her temple, making her smile. Kobe’s first offered kiss. She liked it.
* * * *
Zuri was so small pressed up against his chest. Kobe checked to make certain she was breathing. Kobe’s hand stroked her hair. He was the dominant, but there was an odd feeling inside that suggested he too had been dominated. He wanted more after he had exploded into her. Then Kobe realized he could have more, she wasn’t going anywhere, but not because he made her, she wanted to. A Zargonnii female would have fought again.
Watching his cock slip into her small opening had
made the urge to grow into battle mode difficult to control. His huge hands on her body itched to rake his nails across her delicate skin as he would a Zargonnii female. It was a strange sensation to battle himself; it was no wonder Zargonnii females were so wild when they proved to be the dominant. It was rare, but there were times a warrior was killed with a female’s exuberance. It was shameful. Harming Zuri would be twice as shameful.
Kobe was holding a great deal of responsibility in his arms. Zargonnii were made to dominate; they would have to be very careful with any human female. Zuri was strong, yet vulnerable. Citun was going to have an even newer responsibility with his men when it came to humans.
Without knowing it, Kobe was crooning to Zuri. It was a new sound to his ears. He had crooned to Mrac many times, he had even crooned the same tone to Zuri when he first met her, to soothe her, but this was different. Astounded, he realized it was the difference in his tone. This tone wasn’t harsh but strong. A type of note to make when he was lulling a dominated female Zargonnii. It was to make her feel safe, secure. He would take care of her.
Zuri lay fast asleep in his arms, totally dependent on him on his sometimes cruel, unforgiving planet. She was quiet, peaceful…accepting. Kobe shook his head at the thought. She should be resisting, furious, frustrated, perhaps a little concerned. Not Zuri, his Zuri was cuddled up to him as though she trusted him to care for her. The weight of it washed over him, saturated him until his mind was awash in trepidation and awe. He was responsible for her. The second he found her missing, he could have sounded the alarm, but he went after her.
Kobe had seen her trying to maneuver the shuttle, the mess she was making of her departure. He had been so angry she would want to escape from him. Another emotion had moved him to action as she teetered over the edge—fear. She might hurt herself, worse, she could kill herself. Kobe’s heart had never pounded so hard it moved his body, it shook his mind, it imprinted in his soul. Zuri wasn’t his, Citun said so.
Like hell she wasn’t.
Wrapped in his arms, Zuri was where she was supposed to be. Kobe came to a mental decision that very second. The area they were in was less than a quarter way point. It would take no time to backtrack; they’d had only a few hours of daylight to travel. Kobe was determined to see if the human female on Titus’s territory was real or myth, Titus’s continent was closest. Zuri was worth the effort. If there was any way to get near the human-Zargonnii babe, he had to take a chance. Zuri was ready to die for her freedom. There was no way Kobe was about to allow that to happen.
Citun would no doubt be furious. Once he discovered them missing, he would take his ship and scour every inch of the northern continent. He would be under the impression Kobe would try and make his way home. He was going to have a great deal of explaining to do.
Either way, their trek would be hazardous. If they could make it out of the female’s area they should be fine. Thankfully, the female babes were older; the mother’s would still be dangerous, but with any luck not deadly. At least, Kobe hoped he and a tiny Earth human female posed no threat to the somewhat unpredictable Zargonnii females.
Listening to the terrible storm raging Kobe closed his eyes, knowing come morning they would have to make good time to make it to a safe haven for the night. If he carried Zuri, it would make the traveling faster. He could cover twice as much terrain. When he had told Zuri it would take a month of traveling, he had meant it would take him a month. A Zargonnii could eat up the ground in lightning speed, Zuri could not. He wouldn’t be able to carry her the entire way, but at least half.
As he was pondering his dilemma an odd sound reached his ears. A grumbling of sorts. He cocked his head to the side. The noise was coming from Zuri. Honing his hearing he slid his face close to her throat, then chest, then belly. Her tummy snarled at him and he jumped, wide-eyed. She had actually almost scared him, him.
Shit.
“Zuri?” he whispered. “Are you angry?”
Zuri stirred slightly. “Hmm? Why?”
“Your belly is growling at me.”
He thought he heard her chuckle. “I’m hungry, Kobe. My stomach growls when it needs food.”
Kobe became a little distressed. “Zuri I can’t hunt now and leave you all alone.” He hoped it wasn’t a battle signal to spew; he didn’t have a change of clothes.
“Go to sleep, Kobe. I can wait until morning. I’m too tired to eat anything anyway.”
Relief filled him. His tense body relaxed. In the morning he could hunt. There would be something within easy reach of the cave. Caves such as these had smaller crevices where little creatures waited out the frigid night. Snuggling around Zuri to keep her warm, Kobe fell asleep.
Chapter 8
“Kobe that’s disgusting. You can’t expect me to eat that mess.”
Kobe stood there holding the remains of something in his grasp. The cat-sized, green bloody mess was skinned, gutted, thankfully dead. It looked like something from a horror story, or one of Hell’s offspring. On the end of its six legs were two-toed hooves. The head was ripped off. Kobe who had once looked like he was holding gold faltered in his steps coming closer to her. Thank God, or she would have vomited.
“It’s an offering for your angry stomach. I don’t want any part of you to dislike me,” Kobe said.
“You brought me a dead thing with green blood, no head, and oh God is that a piece of its entrails?” Zuri put her hand to her mouth.
“You need to eat.”
“I can’t eat that raw,” she wailed.
“Well, of course not, mouthy,” he muttered as he walked past her.
Zuri looked away as Kobe used his razor sharp finger nails to filet his catch. Next she smelled something cooking. She cast a fast glance over her shoulder. Kobe had skewered the hunks of meat and was roasting them with the heat from his eyes. It wasn’t a bad smell, just different from what she had been used to on Earth. On the 2BKs planet there hadn’t been any meat at all.
“Here,” Kobe handed her a piece of cooked meat. Zuri starred at it feeling a cross between starvation and horror. “Come on, Zuri. You’ve eaten the meat of a faya, you said it tasted like rabbit.”
“Faya? It was in the stew you brought me on the ship?”
“Yes, all cut up in small pieces, cooked until tender. I’m sorry I can’t boil this down for you. It may be a little tough.”
Zuri attempted to chew a small bite from the hand-sized chunk he had handed her. Her small teeth worked at the leathery texture. The meat was tasty but too hard for her to bite through. Her incisors weren’t sharp enough. Zuri grabbed onto the meat with two hands and tugged for all she was worth, afraid of ripping her teeth out all the while. Yanking, pulling, flapping the meat up and down. It was her first food fight. Zuri growled, groaned, and gave up, the food won. Kobe was openmouthed watching her struggles. He took the meat, took a tiny bite and handed her the small bit. Zuri sucked on the morsel, she chewed and chewed and choked it down. The next piece Kobe handed her was even smaller, it was apparent he had softened it with his own teeth. It was tiny enough for her to swallow whole.
After a number of small bits, Zuri claimed she was full. “Thank you.”
“When a Zargonnii babe is born he needs his mother’s milk for a month, but during that time he can eat the tiny pieces of food his mother chews for him. Zargonnii babes are born with teeth, I know I was. My friend, Atin, has a son, Mrac. I believe I mentioned Mrac before. I’m as fond of him as though he were my own. At first, I thought he was mine; Atin and I live close together, but the smell of him wasn’t right, I didn’t know Mrac’s scent. Atin did, he knew Mrac’s mother’s scent. I was there the day he found him in the jungle. I helped Atin care for Mrac the first year. Raising a babe is hard work. Normally, when a male finds his son he has a friend or brother help him with the child. I have no brother, neither does Atin. Mrac’s four now, a strong healthy male.”
“Atin is lucky to have you as a friend.”
Kobe grinned. “You’re luck
y I was such a good friend. It’s how I know to take care of you.”
“I’m no baby.”
“Babes are less mouthy.”
Before Zuri could respond, Kobe hauled her to her feet. Their meal was gone, Kobe had an astounding appetite. Zuri was surprised the bones were left. With trepidation she left the safety of the cave, the eerie sky was once more colorful pastels filled with inky black holes Kobe explained were worm holes. It was how his people traveled. The foliage was awakening, opening to a new day. The temperature had risen dramatically within the first hour. The once cold, black soil squishing between her toes warmed.
Their day was much like their first day in the jungle. Kobe kept her close; for over half the day, he carried her, her body held snuggly close to his chest by his hair and an arm. His pace was as fast as a galloping horse. Scenery zipped by, and Zuri was a bit disappointed. She asked to be allowed to walk after her legs cramped. Kobe scared off two more bangors. But he showed her more. He showed her why he loved his planet, scary monsters and all.
Zuri had marveled there were no bugs in the jungle. Kobe had no idea what a tiny bug was, flies and mosquitoes weren’t names he understood, and Zuri knew there was no word for them in Zargonnii. When Zuri explained a butterfly, Kobe smiled. He took her to a small clearing where fist sized creatures dotted a hunter green fuzzy tree. The little critters had huge eyes at the end of two antennae; they were a furry grey with too many feet to count. Chirping noises sounded. Tiny little tails wagged back and forth, Kobe explained they were cooling their mates.
The jungle they traipsed through was frightening and intriguing. Beautiful and bestial. Each creature, large and small had its own form of defense. Each step Zuri took was enchanting. The odd vines that crept over trees, moving with a slithering motion, were neither intimidating nor peaceful. Zuri was unsure of the creeping intention. It appeared harmless. As evening approached and the horrible cold began to settle in, Zuri stood openmouthed staring at blue berry pods. The pods were attached to massive hunter green vines growing as would a tomato plant but hundreds of feet high. The pods were large enough to hold an elephant.
