  BOOK DESCRIPTION

Thrilling action, constant adventures, unexpected twists, accompanied by inspiring and explosive humor, are just a fraction of the things that you will encounter while reading this book. Double the action and triple the excitement is something you could expect at any point.

Two men, with one desire, in a city you must figure out to survive, they sold a new drug, and the government wanted in… All for the wrong reasons… You know, reasons that might cost millions of lives.

Both emigrants, both smart and funny, Leo and Capone are an awesome duo, capable of almost everything… The first one with a mob background and chemistry education, the second with mad computer skills and mafia blood, all they wanted was to sell drugs, like everybody else. Unfortunately, their drug wasn’t like the rest. Their drug was the missing link. What follows might even change the course of history. An unexpected twist will change them forever…

  FROM THE AUTHOR

I had a lot of fun writing this trilogy. Yes, two more books will follow up after this one, with even more action and humor. Every time I read it, I burst into laughter at some lines written by me a long time ago, because, aside from the other two, I didn’t write this one in a week, but from time to time for the last 17 years. Yes, that’s right, I started writing this book back in ’99. I did change this and that over the years, especially the year in which the action in it was, but in general, I kept it genuine. Basically, I started when I was only 15 years old. Who would have guessed that it would see the light one day? There is a lot of history and hidden interpretations in this unique book, so read carefully. My future books, though, won’t have much of that same element, because they will be written way faster. They will have other hidden mysteries to compensate, though! Enjoy… and don’t miss the other two sequels. Lots of new characters will emerge, including some strong women. It gets really wild. Time traveling has never been so much fun…

If you enjoyed this book or received value from it in any way, than I’d like to ask you for a favor: would you be kind enough to leave a review for this book on Amazon? It’d be greatly appreciated!

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

  FROM THE AUTHOR

  Chapter I

  Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn

  New York - USA

A police cruiser traveling at 2.9 km/h was sneaking around the neighborhood. There was sweltering heat in the city. Police officer Macony put on his uniformed pants over the colorful boxers, in which he had been driving until now. He almost hit some ugly prostitutes on the corner, but he didn't even notice them because he had a forthcoming police raid at the worst part of Brooklyn – Bed Stuy. Somehow, though, he managed to remember to call for backup, due to the fact that his colleague Arnold was lying dead drunk in the back of the official Cadillac.

“??... And... Macony here, Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, is there a patrol car near?”

“This is Holly and Spencer, we are moving on Lexington Avenue close to you. What’s the problem?”

“The situation is dangerous. We have received a complaint about an extensive collection of junkies. Two blocks ahead of me, in some destroyed house, there is an endless queue of blacks, PuertoRicans, and all the white scum you know. There are rumors of a new drug on the streets!”

“Listen to me, Macony, you piece of shit. I haven't heard a lamer offer! And where is that fucking asshole Arnold, "your great partner"?”

“He has been lying unresponsive in the back seat with a glassy and lifeless gaze for an hour, just staring at the empty bottle. The bottles of whiskey were too much...”

“Why didn't you say so earlier? We will come immediately. Just don't let him do anything!”

A few miles later, lined up in a queue, the dregs were waiting their turn to try the new drug. At the beginning of the line, sitting in a chair, stood out the figure of the dealer, known under the alias "The Sock", an immigrant from Bulgaria named Lalo Zasmukov Kaysiyski (roughly translated, it means Crazy Sucking Balls). It is important to note that this was not his Indian name, and apparently his parents overdosed on LSD pills. Later on, he changed his name in the USA to Leo Smith Cassis. He had been an assassin in his homeland, but he suddenly terminated his career after his last murder and left the country in a hurry, only to take the drug industry road. As a person who graduated in chemistry with honors, he was able to develop a new product, the distribution of which was very easy. He inserted the drug into his sock, junkies paid to his associate Galfonino (meaning muttonhead) and sniffed. A few minutes later, they entered the largest film they are the main actors of (when the effect of the drug kicked in)... Of course, spreading the drug through his sock was unnecessary, but Leo loved making fun of the junkies. Bob Marley was playing as background music. What no one knew was that the drug had been tested in one of the laboratories of The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). One of the scientists there came to the conclusion that if he could get the formula of the drug, he would be able to create devastating chemical weapon...

To mention something about The Sock partner – Galfonino Capone: he is an Italian, born in "Castellammare" - Sicily. Immigrant and grandson of the legendary crime boss, Al Capone, he ran away from home after brutally murdering his neighbor for insulting his mother. At first glance, he and Leo are an entirely incompatible couple, but they managed to successfully cope with a number of crisis situations…

Unexpectedly, two patrol cars stopped in front of them, and only three armed cops came out.

“Don't move, nasty scum!” Macony shouted at gunpoint.

Apparently, it wasn’t his day, because about 20 - 30 guns turned against him in an instant. The Sock slowly rose from his chair, looked around, pulled out a cigarette "Victory" sent by his people in Bulgaria and spoke as he ignited it, “How short life is, huh? And my trade going well isn't enough, but I can even kill a few pigs before bedtime. Someone would have thought that it was my birthday. You are lucky I am in a good mood today. Otherwise, I would kick your fucking assholes until they start resembling your faces. Now slowly climb back in your cars and disappear, because you are disturbing my business.”

The cops had to thank the Lord as they fulfilled the order. Thus the cars vanished backward in adjacent streets. Galfonino pushed The Sock on the shoulder and said, “Let's get out o
f here! This place will be full of cops in five minutes.”

Everyone scattered within seconds. Only a few drugged addicts remained for the cops...

  Chapter II

  The Deal

  “Double whiskey, neat! You, Capone?”

“Same for me. What are we going to do now? The cops are after us, we need to hide somewhere!”

“Let's go to the hotel room, we can eat something, drink like crazy. We can think it over tomorrow.”

They drank the whiskey and left the bar to go to their hotel room.

  * * *

Back to Macony and drunken Arnold.

“Get up already, you skinny bastard!” Macony moaned as he pushed him by the shoulder.

“UH... And... What the fuck, Mac?”

“Get up, we are leaving, our shift is over. I'm taking you to a bar.”

The last word passed through Arnie like shock therapy to a prisoner. He abruptly rose up and hit his head on the Cadillac's ceiling.

His father and grandfather had been police officers. This was the only possible way for him to become a cop – connections. Otherwise, he was using drugs and booze all the time, and a bunch of other things that people go to jail every day. Corruption doesn't even begin to explain him. He has a very frail physique, tall body and toughened face. Mentally, he was probably among the worst of psychos.

So Arnie lit a cigarette and unsteadily went after Macony. Fate decided to take them to the same bar our two traffickers had just came out of. Mac recognized the gangsters and quickly drew his gun.

“Don't move assholes, you are under arrest! Slowly raise your hands, because "sweet kittens", my colleague Arnold is so stoned that if he starts shooting, you will attend missing scenes from the World War II. His gun is so powerful that if it starts shooting, it will bring your fucking butts to the upper floor.”

With lifted hands, The Sock slowly turned to Macony, “What’s the problem cop? Let's have a chat, life is money and drugs.”

After hearing the last word of the gangster, Arnold slightly straightened. He tried to make a step forward and spoke, “Mac, search them, I'm not in shape.”

The cop quickly searched them and took their guns. He turned to Arnie and looked at him pointedly. After a brief talk, the four men went in the room of the dealers, and Arnold broke the silence, “And so gentlemen, before I try your filthy drug, I will hit a glass of whiskey, with your permission.”

Galfonino handed out glasses and poured everyone a drink, which was also sent to Leo from Bulgaria. Everyone took a sip, except Arnie, who drank it all. He opened his mouth wide and closed his eyes. The current state of ecstasy passed, and in a languishing voice, he asked, “What the hell is this?”

“Rakia from apricots, double boiled, ten years old, made in a copper caldron. I have five gallons.”

“Dudes, let’s talk it through. Gallons for us, plus part of the drugs, and you will leave the neighborhood.”

“Wait, it's not that easy!” Macony interjected. “You'll have to move a lot further. After today's action, the DEA intervened, which means big problems for you...”

The Sock got up and walked around the room. He reached into his pocket and handed a key to the cops with an explanation, “The key is for a safety deposit box in the bank across the street. The drugs are inside. Take everything. It is yours. You only need to provide two passports with new identities, and we will leave. Safe number is 3259, but you will need me in order to gain access. And remember, if you fuck with us, you won't live long!”

“Okay, you will have the passports within the next few days. I want you to leave immediately afterward. I don’t want any problems with the DEA.”

After a while, both supercops left the hotel. Once they fixed all the documents, the gangsters boarded a plane to Hawaii. From there, they went to China and Russia, as they had some future plans. With the help of Leo’s friend, they managed to hire a two-man airplane and left for Bulgaria.

  Chapter III

  First Time In The Past

From airport to airport, after nearly a day and a half, the plane was flying all over the Black Sea. Capone looked his friend questioningly and lit a Cuban cigar, “Bro, what are those rocks in the distance?”

“"Aladzha Monastery" or maybe the "Hammered Stones", I haven’t been around for a long time! Try to land somewhere, because the fuel' just finished...”

After a short spin, the small airplane crashed into the rocks located in the dense forest, several kilometers away from the sea.

“Oh,” moaned The Sock and grabbed his butt, because he hit it on the ceiling during the landing. He looked around but couldn't see his partner.

“Where the fuck are you, Capone?”

“I’m here, I flew out the window in that crazy maneuver!”

“It’s already dark. We have to find a place to spend the night. I do not intend to climb rocks in this twilight.”

“Are you going to carry the luggage?!”

“We'll just take the drinks, some food, and weapons.”

  “Okay.”

They took the stuff and, after a little climbing, found a rather large cave. After prolonged drinking and eating, something happened that would ultimately change the course of the events and plans. Galfonino went to ease himself inside the cave, but once he was done, his flashlight went out and slipping on "who knows what" with frantic pace began to slide to the bottom of the cave. A fifteen-second long rapid descent and collision with something a lot harder than his head followed. It wasn't long before The Sock arrived the same way. He shone his flashlight and froze.

In front of them stood a strange machine resembling a flying saucer removed from secret Nazi base. The two gangsters furtively entered through the open door, and a room with unknown advanced technology revealed itself before them. Galfonino, as a person who "has a concept" in computers, immediately pushed several of the holographic buttons...

After some time, the gangsters came out of the machine knowing nothing about the upcoming events. When they almost reached the exit, they saw a shadow slowly approaching. Capone pulled his gun out and fired two rounds, then seven more. The boy apparently had a heart attack and collapsed, as there were no traces of bullets on him and his dog was lying dead ten feet away.

“Why are you shooting? Nobody knows we are here!”

“Better to shoot now, and ask questions later.”

“It’s a good thing that your shooting is almost as good as your judgment…”

The gangsters lifted him up and carried him outside the cave. Once he regained consciousness, they realized that it was a boy, around twenty years old, with an enviable musculature and strange leather clothes. The front part of his head was sheared, and behind were three braids gathered into one. The gangsters were completely confused.

  “Dude, are you a biker?”

At that moment, The Sock started to pull Galfonino's shoulder disturbingly, “Don’t you think the environment has changed a bit? There were only rocks here, but there are lawns now too? As far as I can see, our plane and luggage are also gone! This hardware resembling a flying saucer has a "finger in things". Didn’t I warn you not to touch the buttons... Look how fiercely this biker looks at us, and I don’t see a motorcycle. Check out the knife on his back! I saw such thing in a museum when we were dealing with treasure-hunting. And who would normally wear his knife this way?! Hey, Biker, start talking, or I'll make your dentist a millionaire!”

The boy bowed and spoke in Latin, “My name is Ernak, son of Khan Attila. You were sent here by the great god "Tangra" and named me Biker. There isn’t such a name in our lands, but you gave it to me, and from now on, that will be my name.”

The two thugs, who spoke Latin for obvious reasons, looked like they were stoned.

“Are you joking with us right now? Do we look like chumps?”

“No, Lord, "chimps" are too hairy. I'll tell you everything. Rivers flowed bloody, armies spread everywhere, and I'm scouting. Great Khan Attila wants to unite all
tribes into one empire. East is his, but the West still resists. Our hordes sweep everything. In this area, there are rebellious tribes. That's why I'm here.”

Then they heard a rumble. The gangsters looked in the distance and realized that the boy was not lying. Troops were everywhere the eye could see. Our friends looked at each other in perplexity and saw the truth, that the flying "crate" was actually a time machine and had carried them in the year incidentally pointed by the Italian – 453 A.C.

“Anyway, we are here, let's have some fun. What do you think Sock? The biker will find us suitable clothes!”

“Come here, dude!” Leo called him.

  The dude obediently approached:

“Can you find us clothes like yours? Merging with the locals would be difficult...”

“I'll try to sneak into the army camp and steal some from there.”

“And miss all the fun? We are all going!” said Cassis.

After walking for a while, they were about 430 meters and 23 centimeters away from the camp of the enemy. Galfo and Leo checked their pistols just in case. There was a short creeping, and they fled into nearby bushes one by one. Biker's senses were sharpened, and he was the first to see the guards of the camp, but apparently he wasn’t the only one who could see... Two arrows hurled over the gangsters' heads. The watch unit knew its job. About fifty riders slowly began to narrow the ring around the bush. Galfonino, while giggling, tossed a grenade to Leo. The Sock didn’t even think for a moment where his buddy got the grenades, he just removed the pin and threw it at the approaching horsemen. Capone followed. There was a terrible rumpus, gunshots wreaked havoc left and right, like wedding shooting. The guards were decreased in half, and two committed suicide out of fear. One, who was obviously in shock, was trying hard to reassemble his body. Ultimately, almost all of them died, except the three who ran in panic in different directions. Hundreds of intestines hung out from the trees. Horses with bloodshot eyes whinnied while dying. Several vultures appeared and began to peck the eyes of one of the half-dead guards.
