I was gonna be in charge soon, though. We’d have a quick dinner, probably with Martin, who was bitching about his struggles with the franchise startup, and then I’d get Henry back to my hotel room and take all the advantage.

The best suites in the world were the ones your employer paid for as a “job perk.” I may have prepared it for Henry’s arrival, including snacks for energy, all the lube we could need, and the dildo he’d made me use for him.

“When do you get off?” he asked, dragging my bottom lip between his teeth. “I still have to punish you for sending me cock shots at three in the morning.”

I laughed. Violet Haze was a wild drink. It wasn’t my fault. Couldn’t forget the captions either. On each picture, I’d typed, “We love you hard.”

“I get off when you’re inside me,” I grunted. “But if you’re asking when my day here is over, it’s seven.”

He hummed and took himself another long, deep kiss. “I suppose you want to stay in all weekend? You told me you had plans for us.”

Jesus Christ, yes. Although, it wasn’t all about sex. I’d had the most vivid dreams of talking about houses, arguing over whose turn it was to do the dishes, synching work schedules, grocery shopping, and…well, twin girls.

In short… “Yeah. Plans for a lifetime.”

But hold on. It’s not over yet.

  Out for the Holidays

“I’m just going to write something quick to give the readers a glimpse into their future.” –Silly Cara

That little epilogue wasn’t enough for me. I wanted more than just to tie up loose ends, but when I started writing the original epilogue, a few pages quickly turned into 20,000 words. I don’t want to delete any of it. I want a sweet, dirty, funny, and Christmassy sequel with just a bit of drama.

If you want to read more about Zach and Henry and their friends and family, Out for the Holidays: An Out Novella will be published on December 12th, 2017.

Between the home Zach and Henry have created in Camassia Cove, the hectic life in Los Angeles, and a photo shoot in Mexico, they juggle two teenagers, responsibilities, a so-called friend who won’t take no for an answer, two elder Benningtons who won’t go down without a fight, a tipsy Nan and Martin, and a cat that still needs to shed a couple pounds.

Zach and Henry just wanted a quiet Christmas with their loved ones.

  Yeah, that’s out.

Though each Camassia Cove novel is a standalone within the series, the characters tend to make appearances in other titles. Cara freely admits she’s addicted to revisiting the men and women who yammer in her head. If you enjoyed Out, you might like the following.

  About Cara

I’m often stoically silent or, if the topic interests me, a chronic rambler. In other words, I can discuss writing forever and ever. Fiction, in particular. The love story—while a huge draw and constantly present—is secondary for me, because there’s so much more to writing romance fiction than just making two (or more) people fall in love and have hot sex. There’s a world to build, characters to develop, interests to create, and a topic or two to research thoroughly. Every book is a challenge for me, an opportunity to learn something new, and a puzzle to piece together.

I want my characters to come to life, and the only way I know to do that is to give them substance—passions, history, goals, quirks, and strong opinions—and to let them evolve. Additionally, I want my men and women to be relatable. That means allowing room for everyday problems and, for lack of a better word, flaws. My characters will never be perfect.

Wait…this was supposed to be about me, not my writing. I’m a writey person who loves to write. Always wanderlusting, twitterpating, kinking, and geeking. There’s time for hockey and cupcakes, too. But mostly, I just love to write.

  ~Cara.
