Knights Rising (Rumblin' Knights Book 1) Page 20

by Bella Jewel

“Good, I mean, we just started out...you know...enjoying each other to put it mildly. But then he started calling and texting more, and we hung out a few times. I don’t know...it feels like it’s going somewhere, you know? He hasn’t said anything, but he’s showing me all the signs of being into me. But, I could be wrong. Either way, we’re going away for the night tomorrow night. He has a friend who wants to fight for Lincoln, so he’s going to see him, spend the night, and bring his friend back. He asked if I wanted to come.”

  Oh no.

  No. Finn. Dammit.

Why? Why did you have to be one of them?

  The men that use women.

He just didn’t seem like the type. He honestly didn’t.

It hurts me that he is, because it’s clear Erin likes him. It’s also clear he’s been giving her all the signals he likes her, only he hasn’t meant them.

  Should I tell her?

Should I let her figure it out for herself?

I don’t know what to do here.

  I really don’t.

I mean, in the grand scheme of things, Finn hasn’t committed to Erin. That means technically, he doesn’t actually have to see her and only her. After all, he could be keeping his options open. But still, I just didn’t think he’d be secretive about it. I thought maybe he’d open up and just tell her they’re not exclusive, and that he is seeing other women, too.

Is he telling Indiana the same things?

Because hell, she’s a nice girl, too.

  I really like her.

“You look troubled by something?” Erin says, studying me.

  I exhale.

  Dang it.

I know that I’d want to know if I was in her shoes, so I’m going to go with my gut on this one. To a point, anyway.

“Look, I hate to be the one to tell you this, I really wish I didn’t have to,” I say, crossing my ankles, and trying to think of the best words to use, “But, I just went to Lincoln’s garage, and I saw Finn and Indiana, ah...making out.”

I’m not going to tell her Finn was balls deep. Literally.

  She doesn’t need that.

“Who is Indiana?” Ellie asks, her face scrunching up.

“Lincoln’s receptionist. I’m sorry, Erin. I didn’t realize you and he were a thing, or I would have gone in there and torn him a new one.”

Erin looks hurt, and dammit, I hate that. I do.

“It’s okay. I appreciate you telling me,” Erin says, her voice very carefully toned, so that I can’t pick up any emotions.

  Nobody can.

“Are you okay?” Ellie asks her, reaching out and grabbing her hand.

“Yeah, of course,” Erin smiles, but it’s not real. “I mean, we’re not exclusive. He has never made me any promises. It’s not like I can tell him he can’t be with other women. Just as he couldn’t stop me from being with other men. I guess that’s dating now, whoever comes out on top, wins. He’s seeing what else is out there. I can’t be angry at that.”

  But she is angry.

It’s written all over her face.

I think she’s trying to push aside her anger with her words, by acting casual, like it doesn’t bother her. But anyone can see it is bothering her. It’s bothering her a lot.

  “I’m sorry,” I say again.

Erin smiles at me. “It’s okay. I appreciate you telling me. Like you, I want to know these things.”

“I can go over there right now, and give him what for!” Saskia says, crossing her arms.

“He’s not doing anything wrong,” Erin shrugs.

  Dammit.

I feel so bad for her. I can see the way her eyes have gone a little distant, and she’s putting on a brave face. Everyone knows it’s hurting her.

I really hope Finn steps up to the plate.

Because he’ll not find a better woman than Erin.

  No sir, he won’t.

  NOW – SHANIA

“I think douchery runs in your family,” I murmur, running my tongue up and down Lincoln’s cock.

“No offence, baby, but why the fuck are you talkin’ while my dick is so close to your mouth?”

“Because,” I say, kissing the tip, loving his red and angry it is, “Finn is being a knob.”

Lincoln growls. “Tell me about it after you’ve swallowed my cum.”

My pussy aches at his words, and okay, I’ll give him what he wants.

I swirl my tongue around the head, a few times, and then I finally let him sink into my mouth. A feral groan leaves his throat, and he clutches my hair. Fucking lovely. He uses my head to guide the pace, sliding my mouth up and down his cock. I whimper against it, which only drives him wilder. When I cup his balls, and circle them around in my hand, he spits out a feral hiss.

And, a few moments later, he finds his release.

Whimpering, I take every drop, swallowing him until there is nothing left.

Then I slide my body up his, until I’m on top of him, looking down.

“Don’t even think about kissin’ me with that mouth,” he growls.

I grin down at him. “Why not?”

  He snorts. “Fuckin’ nasty.”

  “You’re no fun, Lincoln Knight.”

“Never claimed to be. Now, tell me about my douchebag brother.”

I roll off him, but he keeps an arm around me, snuggling me to his chest. That feels really fucking nice. I love how he makes my insides all soft and squishy. He makes me feel so good. Like I matter. Only this time, I know it’s real. This time, he’s the one calling the shots. Not me.

“I saw him having sex with Indiana...”

  “No shit?”

“Shit. I went to see you last night, to tell you about Tommy. Found them together, sexing it up in the garage.”

“Dirty little fucker. That’s my zone.”

I thump him, and he chuckles.

  “Seriously though...”

“What?” he questions. “Don’t see what the point is here?”

  “He’s seeing Erin!”

“Wrong,” Lincoln points out. “He’s fucked Erin a few times. She’s also keeping him at arm’s length.”

I frown. “She said she really likes him.”

“If that’s true, she ain’t tellin’ him that. Finn ain’t a man to play games. He’s keeping his options open. Can’t say he’s doin’ the wrong thing, not really.”

  Dammit.

  He’s kind of right.

  But also, kind of not.

“Yes, but he could tell Erin he is seeing other women, because she won’t make up her mind.”

“You’re right, he could tell her that. Not my business, though. And honey, it ain’t yours.”

  “I like Erin!”

“Yeah, I like Erin, too. Still ain’t our business.”

  Dammit.

  Also right.

“Why are you such a buzz kill?”

He chuckles, turning so he can look at me, “I’m just keepin’ my nose clean.”

I pout, and then sigh. “Fine.”

“On a different note, when you seein’ Tommy again?”

I smile, huge. So big it hurts. “This afternoon. We’re going to the park.”

  Lincoln smiles. “Fuckin’ glad, baby.”

“Lincoln?” I ask, biting my lip and hesitating for a moment.

  “Spit it out.”

“Does it bother you, that I have a son?”

  “Nope. Next question?”

  Oh.

  Well.

  That was easy.

“Ah, that was it really,” I laugh softly.

“Like kids. Want my own someday. Hope to meet your boy eventually. Nicolai on the other hand...don’t like him.”

  I snort. “Why not?”

  “Because, I don’t.”

  “Are you jealous?” I tease.

He moves quickly, rolling me so his big body falls over mine, and he’s pinning me down with it. Then he growls, “Fuck yes I am. You’re mine. Don
t like you spending time with him.”

  His?

  I’m his?

  Oh. My. God.

“Since when did I become yours?”

“Since the day you opened that smart little mouth.”

I stare up at him. “Are you serious?”

He stares down at me. “I’m not Nicolai. I’m not goin’ to tell you shit that ain’t true. If I say it, you can guarantee I mean it. I want you. Fuckin’ wanted you from the start. Even if you drove me fuckin’ nuts.”

“No offence,” I say, grinning. “But you were the pain in the ass.”

He grins down at me. “We can fight, if you want. Makes the sex better.”

He moves his hips, shoving his hard cock into me.

“I just got rid of that!” I laugh.

He leans down, kissing me. “Guess you’re goin’ to have to make it go away again.”

  Dammit.

  Lincoln Knight.

  Fine ass man.

  And all mine.

“Am I really yours?” I ask as his mouth glides down my neck.

  “For-fuckin’-ever, baby.”

  Shit.

  Yes please.

  NOW – LINCOLN

“Got some good news,” I say to everyone currently standing in front of me. “Won garage of the year, and got a pretty fuckin’ nice prize. Vacation, ten nights, secluded island. Can take ten people not including myself.”

Shania’s eyes get big, and she grins at me, “I hope I’m one.”

  I shrug. “Not sure yet.”

  She flips me the bird.

  I give her a grin.

  Fuckin’ angel.

“You’re all here, because I had to choose who I wanted to come. Was hard, obviously I was going to bring staff members, but I had a few more spaces. So, if you’re in for it, you’re welcome to come along.”

I stare at the people I’ve called over to my place, to tell them the good news.

Damon, Finn, Indiana, Shania, Slater, Ellie, Erin, Lucy, Malakai and Amalie.

It was hard picking, that’s for fuckin’ sure. Had to bring my brothers, for obvious reasons, and that meant Ellie came along, too. The others I picked because I figured they’d work. Indiana works with us, so she was a choice straight away. Erin is Ellie’s friend, and I like her. Lucy is Shania’s sister, so obviously she was in. And then I had two left, so I picked Malakai and Amalie.

Malakai has been good to me. Seems only fair to ask him along.

Shania walks over as everyone starts chatting excitedly, and leans in, “Are you some sort of evil?”

“What you talkin’ about, woman?” I ask her, grabbing her hips and pulling her close.

  “Erin, Indiana, and Finn?”

  I grin at her.

  She thumps my chest.

“You’re fucking evil, Lincoln Knight. That’ll blow up.”

“At least they’ll deal with it,” I grin.

  “Or they’ll kill each other.”

I shrug. “That’s dealing with it.”

  “You’re awful!”

I press my lips to her forehead. “Just imagine the drama. It’ll be fuckin’ entertaining.”

“Awful,” she slaps my chest, and turns, sauntering off.

“This is fuckin’ great, Lincoln. Appreciate it,” Malakai tells me, shaking my hand.

“Anytime, brother. You’ve done a lot for my family.”

“I love islands!” Ellie claps. “Yay!”

Erin looks towards Indiana, who is looking at Finn.

  Finn is glaring at me.

  What?

  He doesn’t know I know.

“You’re welcome, brother,” I say to him, and he flips me the bird.

“When do we leave?” Erin asks, staring at me, her cheeks red.

  She’s probably pissed.

But she’s not silly enough to say no. It isn’t every day you get a free vacation.

  “Two weeks.”

“This is awesome!” Lucy claps. “Beach, alcohol, and no work!”

“Don’t forget the men,” Erin points out.

  Finn glares at her.

  Yep, going to be awesome.

“Thanks so much, Lincoln,” Indiana tells me.

  “Welcome.”

A knock at the door has me turning my head, and frowning.

Finn stands and walks over, as if he already knows who it is. As if he’s been waiting.

I watch as he opens it, and a fuckin’ well-built man stands there, hand raised to knock again. He lowers it when he sees Finn.

  “Hey Finn,” he murmurs.

  “How are you, bro?”

  “Good. Sorry I’m late.”

The two of them walk in, and I go over, studying the guy he’s got with him. This must be the one he was going to get to fight for me. Big fella, well built, looks pissed. Super pissed. Like life just gets in his fuckin’ way. And he has broken brown eyes, which makes him even more likely to make a name for himself. He’s got a buzz cut, and some ink on his arms. But it’s the cargo pants, that get me.

  Army?

  I don’t know.

Either way, he’s an angry looking man.

  Which is good.

The broken ones always fight the best.

I thought Finn was going down to get him, must have changed his mind. Shania steps up beside me, and studies the man, too. I notice the other girls have stopped, and are checking him out. I suppose to them...he’s hot. Fuckin’ nasty.

“You must be my new fighter,” I say, extending a hand.

He takes it, looking at me and nodding, “Yeah, that’s me. I’m early, hope that’s okay.”

“Always got room for new fighters. I’m Lincoln, Finn’s brother. I run the club.”

He keeps hold of my hand. “I’m Brody.”

  Brody hey.

Man looks like he’s going to make some noise.

  Sounds fuckin’ good to me.

Time to get your hands dirty, Brody.

  THE END
