Cowboy-Sexy Page 14

by Donna Michaels

Cammie slipped her arm around Finn. “Not at all.”

The owner took a couple of pictures, then lowered the camera. “I’ll email these to Brett, but I’m not so sure he’ll pass them on at the moment.”

“Nope.” Finn chuckled. “He’s libel to use them for target practice.”

  They all joined in laughing.

“Well, thanks again for everything, Gus. And here.” Cammie dug into her pocket, then dropped some money on the counter.

  “What’s that for?”

“I’d like to take something to go,” she told him.

“No problem, darlin’. Fix whatever you like,” he said, heading toward the door. “I best get back before I miss all the good stuff.”

Once the owner disappeared, she reached up to grab a large bottle of chocolate syrup off the nearby shelf. “That ought to be enough.”

Turning to Finn, she watched his gaze darken to rival the sapphires gleaming from her ring.

“How far is your hotel room?”

She smiled. “About a block away.”

“Good.” His hands were warm on her hips as he pulled her close. “I haven’t had you in over twenty-four hours and, sweetheart, that’s much too long.”

Cammie’s pulse was still racing as she left the Lonesome Steer Honky Tonk to face a possible military future with a very real fiancé. Finn was her future and she knew no matter what he decided to do with his life, he’d always be her cowboy-sexy.
