Tiger Lily

  I’d chosen wisely.

Of course it was Archer in the kitchen cooking. I went past Blake and Dylan watching television—ducking Blake as he tried to grab me—and slipped into the kitchen with him. I bobbed up onto my toes to wrap an arm around his as he stirred the sauce at the stove, burying my face in his back, his crisp shirt and the scent of his cologne.

“You’re my favorite,” I whispered into his ear. “The one who cooks for me.”

He twisted to regard me skeptically. “I know you told Blake he was your favorite yesterday.”

  “It’s not a competition,” I said.

They all took turns being my favorite.

Dinner was delicious, the house cozy.

Halfway through dinner, Blake brought up marriage.

Archer almost choked on his spaghetti.

Dylan pounded on his back and said, “I think it’s a good idea.”

“How’s that going to work?” I held up my hands in front of me. “I only have two ring fingers.”

I was just teasing. I’d already decided that I was going to marry all three of these men.

“That’s not the only logistical issue.” Archer got up and began collecting the dishes from the homemade peanut butter pie he’d made for me—my favorite. I’d insisted on eating dessert first.

“Oh, I can’t think of any logistical issues I can’t overcome,” I said. I followed him over to the sink and began to kiss him. He laughed, at first, and then I heard something break as he dropped the dishes into the sink.

He twisted, grabbed me tight around the waist, and kissed me back.

Then I felt Dylan moving toward us. Dylan the Mindreader—gratitude washed over me—and then it was desire that took me over as he pressed close behind. He brushed my hair tenderly back from my neck, covering my throat and shoulder in kisses. Archer paused—just for a second—then resumed kissing me heatedly.

It was Blake that I had to beckon over.

But once Blake was sure that he knew what I wanted, he didn’t hesitate. I raised my face to his to kiss him too—and he promptly threw me over his shoulder and carried me into the living room.

“You are a caveman,” I told him, as the world went suddenly upside down.

He grunted. “You need at least one of those to keep you in line.”

I opened my mouth to argue with him, and he smacked my ass with one hand. I let out a growl, but it was all playful—I loved Blake’s hands on my body every way he touched me.

“Don’t growl at me,” he growled right back, smacking my ass again, and I laughed at him as he lowered me gently and carefully to the floor in front of the blazing fireplace. It was a cool summer night, for once, and I’d teased him into starting the fire for me.

Then the three of them surrounded me, their lips and mouths traveling my body, and desire tingled across my skin, heating me far hotter than the fireplace ever could.

Blake kissed me slowly, then rested his forehead against mine. His voice came out in a whisper when he asked, “Would you show my brothers how beautiful you are getting undressed, too?”

He got up and went to the laptop he’d left on the couch, and a second later, the same song that had played in the garage when he gave me my coveralls began to play.

“I like watching Lily undress any way she does—” Dylan began, and then broke off as my hips began to sway.

A smile came over my lips. I felt powerful with them in a way I never had before.

I would have felt ridiculous doing this in front of anyone else, but the three of them watched me, captivated, as I danced between them all. I stripped my shirt off over my head, shimmied out of my jeans. I leaned over to kiss them, and their hands caressed my bare skin, but I always pulled away and kept on dancing.

And they kept on watching as if they were transfixed.

They made me feel like a queen.

When the music stopped, I pointed out, “The rest of you are still quite rudely dressed.”

They hurried to strip off their clothes, and I laughed, then stretched on the rug in front of the fire to watch the show. The three of them were all so sexy, even when clothes were flying everywhere, muscles rippling. Blake got hit in the face with a shirt. He held it up and made a face before he threw it over his shoulder, but it was all in good fun.

I looked up at the three of them, all hard-angled abs and wide shoulders and big cocks. Archer put his hands on his hips and said, “Laughter wasn’t really what I was going for.”

“I’m laughing because I’m happy,” I told him, beckoning him toward me.

He knelt in front of me. The dancing flames cast light and shadow across his beautiful face, illuminating those bright blue eyes and his dark hair. I kissed him slowly, and his hands skated over my hips, my waist, raising sparks everywhere he touched. He kissed me as if he were savoring me, like I was something sweet and precious.

Then I pushed him down on the rug, climbing on top of him. The guys seemed to know just what I was thinking, as I leaned over kissing Archer, because Dylan slid behind me again. His lips caressed my shoulders, my neck, as his hands slowly drifted down my abs. My hips jerked when his hand finally slid across my mound, caressing my clit, before it drifted back up. I made a small, hungry sound, my lips still locked on Archer’s, and I felt Dylan’s lips smile against my skin as his fingers delved again into my panties. I felt Blake lean against my side, pressing a tender kiss to the top of my head, and I almost smiled in relief that he had joined us all.

Life was better with all four of us, and so was sex.

I reached out for Blake, catching his cock in my hand and beginning to toy with him. I thought I had an impressive amount of focus, working his big cock steadily while Dylan caressed me with his lips and hands from behind, his cock brushing against the curve of my ass, while Archer and I made out like, well, horny teenagers. Too bad we’d been too stupid as horny teenagers to figure out how to get what we wanted.

But it had all worked out now.

Dylan’s forearm was hard against my waist as his fingers worked insistently against my clit. I felt how wet I was for him as his fingers slid through my folds. The combination of their mouths, their hands, had me so hot I couldn’t bear it, a constant throbbing ache running through my core. I wanted them to fill me—all of me.

I slid down on Archer’s cock, watching his face change as he felt me envelop him. His hands were on my hips, steadying me, and he looked at me as if I were a goddess as I began to ride him. Dylan gathered my hair in a ponytail, touching my curls affectionately, as he pressed a kiss to one side of my throat, and Blake began to kiss the other side. I couldn’t hold back a moan that seemed to fill the room and spur all three of them to greater heights. Archer’s hands tightened on my waist as he helped me up and down his cock.

“Dylan,” I murmured, “I want you inside me.”

  “Are you sure?”

“Quite,” I said, and he smiled. I’d said that before. And it had landed us in trouble with the kelpies, but you know what, it was worth it.

I felt him withdraw as he went for lube, and I turned my head to one side, kissing Blake hard. Blake’s hand tangled in my curls, holding my head still as we traded kisses. I was still riding up and down Archer’s cock, and his hand replaced Dylan’s, toying with my clit until I thought I’d fly apart right then.

Then Dylan eased behind me, his cock teasing across my curves. I leaned down again to kiss Archer, the movement lifting my ass, welcoming him in. He teased against me, and then finally, gently, pressed in. I gasped at the sensation of the two of them filling me completely. It felt amazing, even before the two of them began to move in time, and I gasped.

Well. They filled me almost completely. I looked up at Blake, mischief in my eyes.

Could a klutz like me really pull off a move like this?

I was highly motivated, so I had that going for me.

I teased my tongue over Blake’s tip, and the groan that sprang from his lips made me happy. I took him i
nto my mouth, swirling my tongue around him.

The four of us moved together until the heat from the fire seemed to be echoed in the tingling of desire racing across my skin. I moaned around Blake’s cock, feeling the power of my own orgasm building, and the sound seemed to push him over the edge. His fingers teased through my hair, then tightened as he shattered in my mouth. I swallowed the salty taste of him, then collapsed against Archer’s chest. He buried his face in my hair as he continued to pound into me from below, his hands tight on my hips. Dylan rocked into me from behind.

The flames in the fireplace seemed to burst as I came harder than I’d ever come in my life, screaming loud enough to wake up Silver Springs.

The four of us collapsed, spent and exhausted, in front of the couch.

“Have I told you that I love you, Pussy Cat?” Blake mused, stroking his hand over my curls.

“I’m not sure you have yet,” I said, feeling a mischievous smile cross my lips, “but the thing is, I already know.”

  Epilogue

I reluctantly left the guys behind to go grocery-shopping for my grandfather. They wanted to come with me—as if even wandering the aisles of the grocery store would be fun together.

And you know what? I was sure it would be.

But there was work to do in the shop. I hated to leave it behind, honestly—the bustle and noise of the auto shop, the thrill of figuring out what was wrong with a car.

I was driving home when I saw the car in front of me blow a tire. It was a bad blow-out, the tire shredding across the road. The car wobbled across the road as the driver pulled over.

That kind of blowout would leave me shaken, and as I passed, I saw the driver was a woman gripping the steering wheel as if her life depended on it.

I pulled over and got out of the car. Her gaze met mine as I walked back toward her; she was a stranger to me.

But in Silver Springs, even strangers aren’t strangers for long.

I waved and gave her a smile, and she opened the car door as I approached.

“Hi, I’m Lily,” I said, eager to let her know I wasn’t some weirdo. Well, I was weird, but not bad weird. “I help run Hot Wheels, the garage down the street, and I saw your tire blow. Are you okay?”

She nodded, but she still looked tense. She got out of the car slowly, then looked at the blown tire. “I have AAA, I can call them to put on the spare…”

“I can do it,” I promised. “Hey, I’ll show you how.”

I could tell she didn’t want to trouble me from the look on her face, even before she said, “Oh, that’s okay.”

“If you call AAA,” I said, “they’re just going to send us over officially. I’m still going to change your spare.”

She smiled at that. “Well, if you insist…”

Just then, a pig jumped out of her car. It waddled over to me, oinking.

“Hey friend,” I said, squatting to pet the pig. I looked up at her. “What’s her name? And yours, for that matter?”

“Sage,” she said. “And she’s Wilma.”

“Come on, Wilma,” I said. “I’m going to show you how to change a tire, even if your roommate doesn’t want to learn.”

Sage scoffed at that, but both she and Wilma followed me over as I went to Sage’s trunk. The pig seemed to listen intelligently as I got the car up on the jack, then helped switch over to the spare.

“I can order you new tires if you want to come to Hot Wheels,” I said. “Otherwise, there’s a tire depot in Scarborough.”

“Oh,” she said. She looked uncomfortable at the idea of going to Scarborough.

“Or,” I said, “if you want, you could drive your car to Hot Wheels, I can drive you home, and we can deliver your car to you tomorrow.”

  “That’s amazing service.”

“That’s Hot Wheels,” I said. “Or maybe I should say, that’s Silver Springs. It’s a magical place.”

  “I’m new here,” she said.

  “I know.”

I followed her to Hot Wheels, secretly quite proud of my first on-the-road tire change, even though I’d changed tires before in the garage, with a car on the lift. I’d been a little bit nervous…but mostly, I’d believed in myself, far more than I ever had before.

Then I drove her home. The pig rode in the backseat.

Between Wilma and Sage, though, the pig might have been more conversational. She oinked whenever we hit a bump in the road.

I didn’t mind, though. I’d come to Silver Springs with a broken heart, and I hadn’t been my best, easiest-to-get-along with self at the time. I had a feeling maybe Sage had come to Silver Springs for a reason, too.

“If you want to go get drinks or come to karaoke night or try out a book club,” I said, feeling like my invitation was awkward, “I’m happy to show you around Silver Springs.”

“Oh,” she said. “That’s nice of you.”

  She didn’t say yes.

She picked up the book that I’d left on the center console of the convertible, though. “Is this the kind of book your book club discusses?”

“Oh no,” I said, glancing at the cover of Love Blooms. “That’s a once-in-a-lifetime read. I couldn’t handle more books like it.”

She gave me a quizzical look.

“It’s a really amazing romance novel,” I told her. “You can have it, if you want to read it.”

“Oh, thank you, but I don’t know,” she said. “I couldn’t just take your book.”

“It’s okay, take it,” I said. “I was going to give it away anyway.”

She looked at the cover. “I could use something to read at night. It gets a little lonely in that house.”

The pig squeaked at her, and she said, “Sorry, Wilma.”

“I bet it won’t be lonely for too long,” I said.

Wilma oinked, and Sage gave me a quizzical look.

We pulled up in front of a beautiful house. “It’s so cute,” I said.

“Where do you live?” she asked.

“I live in the leaning house by the park,” I said with a laugh. “You can’t miss it. But I think I’m going to be moving soon, once my grandfather finishes recovering from surgery.”

“Oh? Are you leaving Silver Springs?”

I shook my head. Never again—at least, not for good, not like I’d left before.

“I’m just moving in with my boyfriends,” I said lightly. “It’s probably a mistake.”

“Why’s that?” she asked me innocently.

And I unleashed on the poor girl. “Blake is driving me nuts with wedding planning—he’s got a hundred opinions, of course he does, he always has an opinion. And thanks to Dylan, I feel like half the women I meet want to murder me and dump my body in the springs.”

That made me imagine how the kelpies would react to that, and I added, “But that’s a terrible idea. FYI, you can’t get away with anything at the springs. Lick a frog if you want, but then go on home, because the kelpies will call you out.”

“Okay,” she said, a confused look written across her face, but all my feelings were spilling out now.

“And Archer is working on a new project, and he’s always taking these long phone calls saying things like “Let’s circle back to that,” and ‘I’m tracking’ and…” I trailed off, realizing I’d just unleashed on her. She looked a bit stunned.

“I’m so lucky,” I said, grinning, because it was true. “Even though they annoy me. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“It must be nice,” she said, just before she got out of the car.

“Well, I have a feeling you’ll see soon,” I muttered under my breath.

“What was that?” she asked as she leaned over into the car.

“I said I have a feeling I’ll see you soon—besides dropping off your car tomorrow. I hope you’ll take me up on dinner with some of the other ladies!” I called, waving goodbye to her.

She gave me a strange look, then smiled and waved goodbye too as she headed toward the house.

I could’ve sworn her pig winked at me before it waddled off behind her.

I was smiling as I headed toward home.

  Goodbye, Love Blooms.

I had exactly what I needed waiting for me at home.

  Sage by J.E. Cluney

Do you know what I love? Being my own boss. Do you know what I hate? A lack of social life.

Silver Springs is supe friendly, so I thought it was the perfect place to call home with my pet pig, Wilma.

Too bad I can’t seem to get myself out to meet people, despite Wilma’s consistent nagging.

Oh, did I mention she talks? Turns out I was born as a slightly defective mermaid, more animalistic than I’d like to admit.

The one bonus? I’m Mrs freakin DooLittle. I consider it a curse at times.

I’d been hoping that Silver Springs might be my one place to maybe meet someone special, but I’m starting to think that was all a dream I can’t reach.

That is, until I decide to fancy up my special pool out back.

Blaine is one fine as hell landscaper, and he’s got some delicious friends to help him.

Maybe Silver Springs isn’t so bad.

Now if only Wilma will stop telling me how good their butts look from her level.
