I stared up at him, marveling at how sexy he looked and how good he felt inside of me as he picked up his pace.

He lowered his mouth to mine and kissed my lips. “You feel so good,” he whispered against my mouth. “I don’t know how long I’m going to last.”

“It’s okay,” I whispered, racking my nails across his back before I dug them into his ass, urging him on. “Just… don’t… stop…now….”

He reached below and began rubbing my clit while he pumped in and out, making my toes curl back in ecstasy. Soon, my muscles clenched around his cock as another orgasm ripped through my body. Reed groaned and picked up his pace until his face twisted in pleasure and he pulled out of me.

“Sorry,” he said, falling on top of me. “I should have worn something.”

“Yes,” I murmured. “If I get pregnant, I’m calling my lawyer.”

  He laughed. “Good.”

Both of us lay there, still trying to catch our breath when the doorbell rang.

“I take it you didn’t order a pizza and that’s your date?” he said.

I groaned. “It’s probably Larry. I’ll tell him I’m sick or something.”

He lay on his side. “Then get back here, because I’m not leaving this bed and I want you in it,” he said, resting his head on his hand.

I stared at him as I put my robe on. I had to admit, he looked pretty good there. “Okay.”

Fortunately, my date, Larry, was very understanding when I told him that I had a horrible case of diarrhea.

“Sorry, Larry. I’m sure it’s something I ate but I wouldn’t want to ruin your evening by being in the bathroom all night.”

He looked slightly green. “No problem. Hope you feel better,” he said, walking away, quickly.

Reed was sitting at the edge of my bed when I returned to my room.

“We need to talk,” he said.

  “Okay.”

  “Do you trust me?”

  “I don’t know,” I said, being honest.

He grabbed my hand in both of his. “You can, Sinclair. I know we don’t know each other very well, but I want you to know that nobody has affected me the way you have. Not Sela or any of the women I’ve dated in my life.” He sighed. “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable, but I think about you almost every minute of the day. When I’m in the courtroom, interviewing my clients, or even just trying to fall asleep at night. I’m officially obsessed with you, and that’s a first for me; no joke. The only reason I waited to fly back out here was to give you some time.”

“Oh.” It was a lot to take in.

He raised my hand to his lips and kissed the side of it. “I was actually going to give you two months, but I got tired of waiting.”

  I smiled.

His eyes grew serious. “Jesse said that you were worried about me and thought I some kind of ‘player’?”

I frowned. “He said you were definitely a ‘lady’s man’.”

He nodded slowly. “I’ll be honest with you, I used to date, a lot, but that was long ago. I’m not that same person. I’m a one-woman man now. I just want you to know that.”

I sighed. “Reed, what do you really want from me?”

He pulled me onto his lap. “I just want to be with you, get to know you, find out what makes you tick. Do you think you can let me do that? Maybe even return my calls from now on and let me see you?”

“You’re saying all of these things but you live in New York and I live here. I don’t know how that’s going to work.”

He smiled. “It just so happens that I’m moving back to Huntington Beach. Jack’s been kicked out and I’m moving in with my mom temporarily, to help her figure things out. She needs the support.”

  “What about your career?”

“There are other law firms. I’m not worried about it.”

I bit the side of my lips. “I guess we could see each other.”

He began tickling my stomach. “You guess?!”

“Stop,” I giggled as he got on top of me and held my arms over my head. “Yes, fine!”

Reed leaned down and kissed my lips. “I’d like to start right now,” he said, pulling the belt away from my robe. “Seeing much more of you.”

I bit his lower lip and then ran my tongue over it. “How about we see each other all night?”

He opened my robe. “How about all weekend? If you think you can handle it?”

“I’m willing to try,” I said as his mouth found my right nipple.

“Tell you what- I’ll lick your wounds, if it will help,” he whispered, flicking and teasing it.

  “My wounds?”

Leaving my breast, his mouth moved lower until his tongue reached a tender spot between my legs, where he spent the rest of the night kissing the soreness away.

  Chapter Thirty-one

  Michael

“Well, what do you think?” she asks, leaning down next to me as we both stare into the mirror.

“Magnificent,” I murmur, drinking in her luxurious, red hair and startling, blue eyes. It is our first time together and I am giddy with joy.

Her pink, bow-tie lips curl into a knowing smile that leaves me breathless. “I mean your new cut, Professor Jones. Do you like it?”

I chuckle. “Oh, of course. Yes, its Jenna, isn’t it?”

“It is,” she answers, bending over to grab a small hand-broom.

I see blue lace and a hint of cleavage peeking through her blouse as she sweeps up the leftover hair and my cock twitches.

“Thanks for giving me a chance” she says, straightening up. “Being the new girl in the salon isn’t always easy. I just moved here from Minnesota a couple of weeks ago and need to build up my clientele.”

“Florida is a far cry from Minnesota. What brought you here?”

She looked away, but not before I noticed the pain in her face. She sighed. “I followed my fiancé out here.”

“Oh, you don’t sound very happy about that,” I said.

Her smile was bitter. “Well, it didn’t work out.”

  “I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have snooped.”

“Don’t be. Everything is fine. In fact, it all worked out for the best.”

Yes, fate has brought you to me…

“Well, it was my pleasure and you did a fine job, young lady. In fact, I will definitely be back to see you again.”

  She smiled, gratefully. “You will?”

“Oh, yes,” I beamed. “There won’t be anyone else for me, now that I’ve found you.”
