Wanted By The Devil Page 5

by Joanna Blake

He moaned and lowered his head to her chest, suckling her nipple lightly.

She felt herself slipping backwards in his embrace as her hands wound through his hair, clasping his head closer to her. She should have been shocked, but she wasn’t. She should have been ladylike and stopped him, but she couldn’t.

His hot tongue felt too good. There was no way she could have stopped him now. In fact, if he had pulled back, she would have begged him not to.

He moaned and rocked his hips into hers. He pulled her top down on the other side and started kissing her other breast. Now he was alternating back and forth, using his hands and lips to tweak her nipples, driving her insane with desire.

They were both making soft guttural sounds as he guided her legs around his waist, bringing her into direct contact with… him. They were practically humping she realized. It was a good thing it was dark out!

  "Damn… we better stop."

Kaylie felt dazed as he pulled her legs down off his hips and adjusted her top back into place. He was breathing heavily and looked strange. As if he was concentrating on something. Or in pain.

  "Are you alright, Devin?”

"Yeah, I'm- Don't look at me like that Kaylie. Please… oh God."

He pulled her back into his arms and kissed her deeply. She forgot everything for a moment. Who she was, where she was, who he was to her… She was just nerves and skin and muscles and bones. All of them wanting one thing.

  Him.

If he had wanted to take her virginity then and there, she would have let him.

He let out a muffled curse as he forcefully lifted her to her feet, placing her at arms length from his body. She chewed her lip and stepped toward him. Her fingertips grazed his chest and he flinched.

  He laughed harshly.

"Sweetheart, trust me, you do not want to get close to me right now."

  "Why not?"

He gave her a wry smile, before his eyes shifted to her heaving bosom. He closed his eyes and held her shoulders so she wouldn't come any closer.

"Because that's not how this is going to happen."

  "What?"

He opened her eyes and stared at her.

  "Your first time."

  "Oh."

He paused and looked at her again.

"It will be your first time, won't it Kaylie? Because if not… well, that changes things.”

She was tempted to lie to him if it would get him to kiss her again. But she wouldn't do that. Besides, he'd find out soon enough. She felt her cheeks turning pink at the thought. She wanted him to take her now. She wanted him.

  Badly.

He deserved to know the truth, even if he was dissappointed by her lack of experience.

  "I'm sorry… I've never…"

He just stared at her, the look in his eyes making her shiver.

"Did I do something wrong? Maybe you don't want to be with someone as inexperienced as me."

He groaned and pulled her into his arms, kissing her hungrily. Then he pushed her away again with a curse.

"No, Kaylie. Trust me, that's not a problem. You are perfect, exactly as you are..”

She smiled up at him, feeling reassured. She took another step in, hoping he'd kiss her like that again. He laughed and took her arm, clasping her hand in his.

He walked her across the street to her front stoop, giving her a gentle nudge towards the door.

"And now you better take that sweet perfection inside."

She pouted and looked over her shoulder at him playfully. He just stared at her, his eyes dark and hungry. He looked like a wolf.

All the sudden she knew how little red riding hood felt. But she wanted to get eaten. Well, sort of.

  "Go on, sweetheart.”

  “Alright. Goodnight, Devlin."

  "Goodnight, Kaylie."

  Chapter 16

  Devlin

Devlin spent the next five days in a state of frustration. He was having a good time, the best time really, but it was hellish all the same.

Being around Kaylie, or even just knowing that she was his now, but not taking her… well, it was tearing him apart.

He’d made a promise and he would keep it, even if it was driving him insane. That didn’t mean he could stay away from her either.

He had never felt like this. He went to bed every night with heavy balls but he woke up with a spring in his step. It was getting too hard to keep his promise to her mother, and the promise he’d made to himself.

Kaylie was a proper young lady, not some sweetbutt he could use to get his rocks off. Problem was, she was the only one he wanted. He had plans for getting her alone and making her his once and for all, but until then he had to keep his hands off.

  Otherwise he would combust.

He shook his head, riding over to the diner to see her Thursday night. Kaylie might be the innocent one, but she had more power than she knew.

One pretty little girl had brought him to his knees without even trying. If he had to beg when the time came, he would. He grinned, thinking that the view from down there would be epic.

Kaylie already had the power to destroy him.

She just didn’t know it yet.

  Chapter 17

  Kaylie

The first flush of love went by in a dream.

And she was falling in love with Devlin. Of that she had no doubt. She’d never felt anything like it. Trust and desire and the feeling of being protected… it was irresistible.

Even if she had been more experienced, she knew she’d never be able to resist him. As it was, she was putty in his hands.

Devlin came to see her every night that week, even on the nights she worked at Mae's. He'd come in for an ice cream sundae, just like Johnny used to like.

Only now, Kaylie made sure to give him an extra scoop as a sign of her affection. She’d add the extra scoop with a flourish and add whipped cream and a cherry.

The way he slowly ate the cherry, sliding it into his lips with a hot look… it made her blush. When he saw her cheeks get pink, it made him grin. He seemed to enjoy introducing her to his naughty games. He didn’t mind that she was as innocent as a schoolgirl.

It was a good thing too, because she was always blushing around Devlin McRae.

Each time it was the same. He’d come strolling into Mae's towards the end of her shift, looking like a hawk in a dove cote. He'd sit and wait until she was ready to go home.

They would ride around and find a quiet spot to talk and fool around for a couple of hours. Her mother was always up reading when she got home, with no recriminations about coming home after midnight.

Even she trusted Dev with her daughter. If only she knew that it was Kaylie who was starting to get impatient. The endless nights of kissing and touching were making her feel wild and reckless.

She wanted the real thing. She was ready.

But each night he would walk her to the front stoop and leave her with a soft kiss.

When she said goodnight to Devlin on Thursday he was quiet, grim even. She felt a strange sense of unease, worry that she had done something wrong.

They'd gone further than ever before. She'd even touched him there- through his pants this time. He'd felt so big and hot- dangerously powerful. But also tempting and exciting.

She kissed his cheek while he stared at her, his jaw ticking. He hadn’t told her he would see her tomorrow this time. He’d just left, biking off as soon as the front door was open, without the final wave that he usually gave her.

Little did she know, that was the last she would see of him for 48 hours. He didn't visit her the next night at Mae's during her shift, or call. There was a bike parked outside the whole night though. She was protected. But she knew it wasn't his.

When she finally closed up it was Jack who followed her home while she walked through the quiet town. He didn't offer her a ride or an explanation. As usual, all he did was nod.

Kaylie wasn't sure why Devlin was staying away from her, but she felt awful
about it. Her insides felt like they were hollow, empty. It was like he had filled a part of her that she hadn’t even known was missing. And now that it was, it felt like she was slowly disappearing.

Maybe she should have let him do more. He hadn't pushed her to… but maybe she had missed something or made a mistake. Maybe it was because of her lack of experience.

He must be bored with a virgin. Maybe he didn't want her anymore… Maybe it was already over.

She cried into her pillow for hours, tossing and turning. She made sure her light was out so when her mother came in to say goodnight, she wouldn't notice her red eyes or tear stained cheeks. It was near dawn by the time Kaylie fell into a fitful sleep.

It was the longest night of her life.

  Chapter 18

  Devlin

Devlin was in hell. It was ironic that someone with the nickname of 'Devil' would end up in hell. Even more surprising was that he was loving every minute of it.

Well, not every minute. Not the past two days. Those had been the worst of all.

Kaylie was driving him insane. He'd seen her every night this week and every night he'd dared to go a little further with her. Just grazing the edges, making her want him as badly as he wanted her.

He hadn’t thought it was possible, but his shy little virgin was giving him a run for his money.

Once he'd opened pandora's box, she was the one who didn't want to stop. He grimaced, just thinking about what she'd done to him two nights ago… once again leaving him with an uncomfortable hard on.

His dick could have drilled for oil. Or cut glass. The thing felt like a steel rod, the kind you used to hold up a damn building.

It was still hard and aching, even after he’d rubbed a few out. The relief had been momentary at best. Only she could scratch that itch for him, and he had promised her mama to go slow.

He was dangerously close to breaking that promise. He was constantly fighting the urge to toss her over his bike, take her to the cabin and tie her to his damn bed.

The longer he waited, the more he wanted to have rough, bed breaking sex with her. Things were not going according to plan. Not at fucking all.

He'd even stayed away last night to see if he could loosen her hold on him. Instead he’d drank beer after beer, staring miserably at the clock, counting the hours until he could see her again.

It was happening so fast. He didn’t just want her now. For years she’d been a goal- something to wait for. Something that was a reward.

What he hadn’t counted on was this feeling that he wasn't just him anymore- now he was part of an 'us.' It wasn't even just wanting her in his bed, though that was a big part of it. He didn't feel like he was in control of his feelings anymore.

  He didn't like it.

Two nights ago they'd been fooling around for an hour, he'd finally come close to touching her sweet little pussy. He’d slid his fingers between her legs, rubbing them lightly over her tight denim shorts.

He'd been wondering about the wisdom of unzipping her shorts when he'd felt her tentative caress on the front of his jeans. Jesus. That fluttering little touch had almost sent him over the edge. And then she'd gotten bolder.

He'd had to take another cold shower last night. He was enjoying her, more than he thought was possible, but his patience was wearing thin.

Tonight was the night. He was done waiting, and if he were honest with himself, she seemed to be done waiting too.

If he could just get through this meeting he'd be fine.

He was finding his razor sharp mind was less focused than usual. He forced himself to listen careful to what Jack was reporting.

The new Sherifff was making things difficult for the club. They already knew that. But now it was looking like his animosity was specifically targeted at Devlin.

He'd been ticketed again last night, after he'd dropped off Kaylie thankfully. He didn't want to think about giving the cops a chance to hassle his woman. She was so delicate… he frowned at the thought.

  Enough was enough.

"This stops now. Find out what they have on me. You still in with your cousin, Donnie?"

Donahue nodded. His cousin was on the force one town over. He couldn't keep the cops off their asses but he could tip them off when a big bust was brewing.

The Spawns of Satan, aka SOS, didn't traffic in drugs, guns or hookers, but they did have their own set of laws. And they did partake in drugs, guns and hookers.

Well, not Dev himself. He had never paid for it, not even before he was club president. Hell, he just had to snap his fingers as he was swimming in girls, all before Kaylie of course. And he didn’t do drugs or get hammered on booze. But a lot of the guys did.

He didn't enjoy drugs because of his need for control and as for paying for sex, that was a joke. He spent most of his time turning women down. It was almost annoying, especially since he had Kaylie now.

Why go out for chicken nuggets when you had kobe beef at home?

It was a running joke at the clubhouse that Dev had the best sloppy seconds. Girls just hung around waiting for him to notice him all the time. If he did, he didn't usually see them more than once.

When he passed them over, they became easy pickings for the rest of the guys in the club. He couldn't tell you the number of times he'd been credited with getting another Spawn laid.

For the most part, Devlin ignored it. Sex was just sex just a release. He saw no need to talk about it. It had never meant anything to him beyond that.

Being good looking was definitely part of it, but it was the power of running the SOS that had made it go over the top. He was bored by the cheap thrills. He didn’t want the hassle.

Devlin knew what he wanted and he'd found it. His mind wandered back to Kaylie and what they'd be doing later tonight. He couldn't wait to seal the deal.

It was finally going down. This was it. No more waiting.

Tonight he made her his once and for all.

He had to take care of this cop situation so it didn't blow back on her. Once people knew she was his old lady, she'd be affected by everything he did. The thought of Kaylie being bothered because of him made him see red.

That wasn’t going down. No way. He’d go ballistic if anyone dared bother her.

Speaking of which, Jack hadn't had an easy time getting rid of Dani the other night at the State Fair. She'd resisted his one more demand to vacate the carnival apparently. He'd had to use some rough moves on her to get her to leave.

He hadn't hurt her, Dev wouldn't stand for that, but it hadn't been pretty. Dani had fought back, even scratching the giant biker’s face with her nails. He’d had to restrain her and take her miles away before letting her loose,

Dev was pretty sure they should expect more trouble from Dani, brother-in-law in the Club or not.

"Okay, find out what's up. And get Bruce in here. I need to talk to him about his sister-in-law."

  "Dani?"

  "Yeah."

Dev drummed his fingers on the heavy wood table. The meeting room was large enough to accommodate the core members of the club for now, but they were growing. They also had a couple of other smaller clubs that were part of a larger circle, counting themselves as unofficial members.

  Kind of like MC cousins.

Things were changing. Someone had even mentioned changing the name of the Club from Spawns of Satan to Devil's Riders. That’s what people were calling them now anyway. It was something he kept trying to put a stop to, but the name was sticking. He couldn't help but notice how many people had started using it.

He didn't mind being called Devil but naming the club after him seemed like a slap in the face to the old timers. To his own father and grandfather. He could picture them rolling over in their graves at the thought. He was a firm believer in tradition. He’d make it clear to the club to put a stop to it.

Devil's Riders was fine as a nickname for the core group but that was it.

Bruce walked in and sat down at the table with Dev and Jack. Donn
ie shut the heavy wood door and leaned against it. Devlin stared at Bruce for a couple of minutes before starting in. This wasn’t going to be an easy conversation to have.

Family stuff always hit close to the bone.

Bruce looked nervous which was pretty funny considering the guy was a 6'4" wall of muscle and had been in and out prison most of his adult life. He'd calmed down in his mid thirties after getting hitched and was spending less and less time at the clubhouse these days.

It was a good thing he'd been there tonight, or else they would have had to call him in.

  "Thanks for coming, Bruce.”

“Of course, Dev. Anything for the club.”

“We want to talk to you about your sister in law."

Bruce nodded. He didn’t look surprised.

"Dani's been out of control lately. I heard about what happened at the carnival, man. I'm sorry."

"Can you get her to chill out?"

  He shook his head.

"I can try but the problem's not just her. It's my old lady too. They are both in a tizzy about your new girl. It’s not just normal jealous chick stuff.”

Devlin sat forward, his eyes hard on Bruce’s face.

  “What are they up to?”

  “Nothing yet. Just words.”

  “What words?”

“Calling her an interloper. Saying she's friends with cops."

Devlin sat back and ran his hands through his hair. He knew where that was coming from. Trust Dani to mix truth and lies. It was the best way to manipulate the facts to her liking.

"She went to high school with Jefferson but that's it. The guy is on ticket duty, he doesn’t even wear a gun.” He sighed. “It doesn't matter anyway. Kaylie is my old lady now. She's off limits to this kind of bullshit."

"Congrats, Dev. I didn't know it was official.”

  Dev nodded.

"Okay, you need to get your old lady in line. I won't tell you how to do it. Rip up her credit cards or something. If she or Dani come near Kaylie again they will be banned from the clubhouse. Permanently"
