DREAMS OF TOMORROW: A NEW ADULT TIME TRAVELING ROMANCE (Ravenhurst Series) Page 20

by Lorraine Beaumont

Raven walked into the foyer at that moment. Her eyes widened as she took in the scene in front of her. A leggy woman was holding onto Reed like he was her long lost love. Her heart sunk in her chest.

Reed saw Raven and lifted his arms in the air in a helpless gesture.

Raven’s mouth dropped open. They were just married…

Reed disentangled himself from the woman and set her away from his body, trying to ignore the knot that formed in the pit of his stomach from the look Raven was giving him. “I don’t know what you are trying to tell me,” he said and ran his hands over his face.

  “It’s Lucian,” she cried.

The woman tried to walk back into his arms but he backed away from her. “What about Lucian?” he asked for a second time.

Raven finally broke her gaze with Reed and looked at the woman who was trying to wrap her arms around him. “Cecily?” she asked, her voice reflecting her shock.

The woman turned and her entire demeanor switched on a dime. “Oh Raven, thank goodness,” she said as she rushed towards her. “You are a sight for sore eyes,” she blubbered out, sniffing loudly as her finger went to her eye and pressed one more tear out. “Wait…why are you wearing a wedding gown?”

Raven ran her hand nervously down the front of her gown. “I…um…”

“Oh never mind we can catch up later,” she said as though anything Raven had to tell her was pretty insignificant and turned back towards Reed. “Well?” she asked and tapped the toe of her shoe against the marble tiles.

Reed looked down at her shoe as she was tapping up and down. He noticed one was covered with mud. He felt like he had just entered a play on the second act. He had no idea what in the hell was going on. So he ignored her question and looked between them both, thoroughly confused. “You two know each other?”

Raven closed the door to her room. Her beautiful skirts rustled against the carpet as she pulled another sparkly pin from her hair and dropped it onto the dresser. Tears were streaming down her face while she sang out the lyrics to Dirty Dancing’s theme song… “I’ve had the time of my life… noooo… I never felt like this before…and I swear… it’s the truuuth and I owe it all to youuuuuuuuu…” sniff, sob, sniffle, sigh…. “Oh what have I done?”

  Special Thanks & Book News

  TO MY READERS:

Again, thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I can’t begin to tell you how appreciative I am for each of you. I have always loved writing, telling stories made up from my vast imagination but I have to say that with readers like you it makes it even more enjoyable.

And I would also like to say another big thanks to everyone who has contacted me via email, Facebook, or from your reviews, which let me know how much you are enjoying my series. You all are so nice to take time out of your day, which in turn makes my day; I really can’t thank you enough.

Book News: Dreams of Tomorrow is one of my favorites so far in the series but I have a feeling that Now and Forever may just become the best one yet. I am working on that now as well as another book I think you will really enjoy. This one doesn’t have a time travel element though but I am hopeful you will fall in love with these characters as I have. I will be posting a sneak peek of it soon on my blog and on Facebook so be on the lookout.

I am also releasing the first book in another series December 2013, which is an Urban Fantasy off the beaten path. It has a unique time-flow and has a bit more grit. There is romance, mystery and a dash of the unexpected tossed into the mix to keep things interesting. So be on the lookout.

If any of you want to be added to my newsletter, which includes happenings at the castle, release dates of my books, sneak peeks, advanced reader copies, prizes and more, just send an email to [email protected] and I will add you to the list. And for those of you who have a specific question or just want to say hello, please do not hesitate to contact me. I love chatting with all my readers!

  Biggest Hugs Ever,
