English, Latin, Maths 1, Maths 2, History, Geography, Physics & Chemistry – plus Animal Husbandry, Basic Accounting, Ag Studies, Phys Ed & Sports, (i.e., rugby, cricket and running etc), Woodwork, Metalwork and, of course : Homework.

“Team spirit’s the thing, Cassidy. You mustn’t let the school down. Pull your weight, boy. Keep up. Pay attention.”

  “You must try harder, Cassidy.”

  “Run, Cassidy! Run!”

  “Asherbanipal, Cassidy.”

  “The index of refraction, Cassidy.”

“To indicate the genitive case of a noun, Cassidy.”

And so forth. We shall not touch on these matters again for there are far more important things to relate. Matters of fun, fate and good fortune; of friend and foe, and fealty and faith. Matters of fickleness and fellowship and freedom of spirit, of far away places and foolhardy adventures and fortunate escapes…

  And maidens … fair maidens…

  All hail and well met.

  Now read on.
