Amy could feel Gavin pull her closer as they continued that kiss. He reached down and squeezed her ass. She could feel him relax and start his delicious stroking of her body. There weren’t words that expressed the gratitude she had for the way he cared for her and now Irene. She broke away and took his hand, leading him toward the bed.

“I love you so much, Gavin. I can’t believe you’re mine,” Amy said, cupping his clean-shaven face.

“I can’t believe you’re mine, hottie,” Gavin teased. He kissed her again. “Let me get undressed.”

Amy knew exactly what Gavin meant. There was so much to unlayer with that uniform he had on. Especially his combat boots. There was no way to get those off quickly. He sat down and started to unlace his boots. She knelt before him. He looked at her in surprise when she took his hands.

  “Let me,” Amy whispered.

Amy unlaced the boots and pulled them off Gavin’s feet. She firmly massaged the balls of his feet when the boots were removed. He closed his eyes and groaned at the sensation and relaxation she was giving him. She pulled him to his feet and removed the camouflage top and black T-shirt underneath. She knelt once more as she tried to work the fastenings of his belt. He touched her hands lightly and undid the fastening for her. She unbuttoned his pants and pulled them down his long legs, kissing him as she went.

Amy could see Gavin’s thick, hard cock at attention through his underwear. As she knelt, she looked up at him and slowly pulled down the last of his clothing. He was watching her with desire and need. She closed her eyes and rubbed her cheek against his cock as she kissed a little scar on his hip. She recalled him telling her he had gotten that scar from being a little too close when an IED went off while he was in Iraq. She heard him suck in a breath.

“That feels good, honey,” Gavin cried.

Gavin placed his hand gently at the back of Amy’s head. She slowly licked up and down his cock. She opened her eyes and saw his hard abdomen flex as she took his cock into her mouth and started sucking him. His hands were pushing her head in the rhythm he wanted.

“That’s it, Amy, honey, suck my cock.”

Amy would pause and lick the head and then the shaft of his cock as she teased him with her tongue. He threw back his head and groaned as she swallowed his cock once more. She felt his fist clench her hair when she took both hands and grabbed his hard, muscular ass.

“Fuck! Baby! You’re driving me crazy!” Gavin groaned.

Amy increased the speed of her mouth, fucking Gavin’s cock. He had never come in her mouth before and always stopped her when he wanted to. She pushed his hands away when he tried to stop her. He took a deep breath.

“Amy, honey, stop! Otherwise I won’t be able to,” Gavin warned.

Amy added her hands to the lower part of his shaft, pushing up when she reared back and then sliding down as she moved Gavin’s cock inside her mouth deeper.

  “Baby, please!” Gavin urged.

“Come for me, Gavin.” Amy fingered his testicles and swallowed his cock.

Gavin grabbed Amy’s head and took a fistful of her hair as he roared his climax. She felt his seed hit the back of her throat as he came inside her mouth. She swallowed as quickly as she could but couldn’t manage it all. He was breathing heavily and she felt his knees buckle slightly when he moved away. He lifted her to him and kissed her. He licked the corners of her mouth where his semen had escaped her mouth.

Gavin quickly undressed Amy and almost threw her onto the bed. His cock was still hard. She lay back as he pushed her legs over his shoulders and went to work on her pussy with his mouth. She moaned as she felt his tongue come into contact with her clit. She quivered in delight when he reached up and started playing with her nipples as he licked and sucked her clit. He brought her to the brink and stepped away. He crawled up her body and placed his cock at the entrance to her pussy. He rubbed her clit with his cock as he prepared himself to enter her slick cunt. She felt herself clench in anticipation.

  “Gavin…” Amy moaned.

“I want to watch you come.”

Gavin shoved forward and Amy screamed as her pussy clamped down on his cock. The force of her climax shook her fiercely as he relentlessly rode in and out of her throbbing pussy. She dug her nails into his forearms as she arched her back into him. She could feel her nerve endings snap all at once.

“That’s it baby, fuck me!’ Gavin commanded.

Amy thrust her hips to meet Gavin’s demanding plunges. She watched as he threw back his head and squeezed his eyes shut. She felt him plow into her as he climaxed again. She was breathless as he lowered himself to her. He pulled her close and held her for a moment before sliding to her side and cradling her head to his chest.

“Ummm. What did I do to deserve that?” Gavin asked.

“You didn’t like it?” Amy quipped.

“You couldn’t tell?” Gavin asked, amused.

Amy looked at Gavin’s belly and saw the large, angry scar where he had been shot and later stitched back together. She lightly touched it. He rubbed her shoulder. She leaned down and kissed the scar and looked at him.

  “I’m fine,” Gavin said.

  “I was just checking.”

“So, you never answered me, what did I do to deserve that?’

Amy worked her way back to his face and kissed Gavin’s cheek.

  “You’re wonderful,” Amy said.

“What was so wonderful? If that’s how you say thank you, I want to do whatever it was more often,” Gavin said with a smile.

Amy giggled as she snuggled close to Gavin.

“Badass!” JJ called as he caught up to Gavin.

Gavin, Amy, and Irene had just finished having dinner at the Coronado NCO Club. He knew what a treat it was for Amy when he would take her onto the base where he was working. He enjoyed watching her take in the sites whenever she took a trip with him.

They were leaving when JJ caught Gavin at the entrance. Gavin stepped away from the ladies and gave JJ his full attention.

  “What’s up?” Gavin asked.

“Did you talk with Dixie today?” JJ asked.

The men started discussing some unclassified business they had. JJ glanced at Amy and Irene.

“I should go and say hello to Amy,” JJ said with a grin.

“We’re getting ready to leave, JJ. She doesn’t need you telling her anymore stories.”

“I was just entertaining her while she was babysitting you in the hospital,” JJ said with a wicked smile.

“I haven’t been able to thank you enough for that, JJ,” Gavin said sarcastically.

While Gavin had been laid up in the hospital, JJ would visit as often as he could. He managed to ease into a conversation and entertain Amy with stories of Gavin’s past exploits. Gavin had not been very grateful at having his secrets spilled to his fiancée.

“Who’s that with her?” JJ asked.

“Her aunt, the lady that raised her. She just retired from teaching and decided to tag along.”

“Didn’t take her long to pussy whip you, did it?”

“JJ, not that I have to explain shit to you, but I asked Irene to come along. I knew I would be busy and I didn’t want Amy sitting around waiting for me.”

“If you needed a hand, why didn’t you call me for a double date?” JJ asked with a dangerous smile. “Do I get to meet her?”

“I don’t want you anywhere near my future mother-in-law, JJ. You have the invitation to St. Thomas, I gave it to you three days ago.”

“I’ll get to know Momma then, huh? How do you plan on keeping me away when I go down to St. Thomas?” JJ asked roguishly.

“I’ll find a way,” Gavin said evenly.

Gavin smiled as they bantered for a few seconds. Gavin wasn’t concerned about JJ. Irene was definitely not his type and Irene had better sense. The men parted ways and they returned to the hotel. Irene and Amy had spent the day walking the streets of Coronado. They had managed to make it into main Sa
n Diego and take a harbor tour. It was a good thing because the weather turned cold and dreary the next day on their return flight.

Gavin reported to the quarterdeck for Reserve duty a month after his TAD to Coronado. It was right after the Labor Day weekend. He stepped into Rock’s plush digs, or the “Command Suite,” and asked Friday, Rock’s yeoman, for Rock. Lieutenant Colonel Thompson had found something on the flash drive he had recovered at Quantico and Gavin wanted to update Rock on the latest.

“Sorry, Chief, Captain’s gone for the weekend. He’s spending time with his wife,” Friday informed.

“Wife?” Gavin exclaimed, choking on his coffee.

“Yes, sir. The captain got married two weeks ago. He asked me not to call him unless it was an emergency.”

“Are you fucking with me, Friday? Did Mac put you up to this?”

“Up to what?” Mac asked as he walked into the office.

“Chief is having a hard time with the skipper’s new status,” Friday said with a wide grin.

Mac smiled knowingly. Gavin stared at Mac in complete disbelief. News of a UFO abducting Rock and anal probing him would have been easier to swallow than the news that Rock was now married!

“Fuck me! You’re serious,” Gavin said.

“And she’s something! She’s giving him a run for his money. Rock ain’t the boss in that house now. He’s finding out payback is a bitch and he’s married to her!” Mac howled.

Gavin howled with laughter along with Friday and Mac. This was special! The Rock was now collared! He laid a stack of invitations on Friday’s desk, informing him that there were specific invitations in the stack, but anyone who wanted to come was welcome as long as they wanted to make the trip to St. Thomas.

“By the way, Chief, JJ’s looking for you. He said he needed to talk to you when you got in,” Friday said.

Gavin went through his day eager to get it over with. He had brought Amy with him and they were staying in downtown San Antonio at a hotel on the Riverwalk. She had spent the day touring the San Antonio Main Library branch. When he returned to the hotel, she was sitting downstairs in the lobby, reading a book. He smiled when he spotted her. She was sitting, reading, and twisting her hair, a habit she had when she concentrated. It must have been a good book because her fingers were really moving.

They went for a walk and found a restaurant on the river. After dinner they continued exploring and took a barge ride up and down the lazy river that made its way through the center of the scenic city. They were tourists in the evening and he worked during the day. They had talked about their wedding and where Amy and Irene were with the planning. He sat and listened. He was amazed at how far they had come. Despite all the problems and obstacles, they had fallen into a comfortable routine.

The solidification of their lives by taking vows was just a formality. Nothing he could say would ever express how much he loved Amy. He was completely devoted to her and knew without a doubt they would grow old together. He would live out his days with someone who understood and accepted him without him ever having to explain. He was looking forward to their wedding. It would be a happy occasion surrounded by people who were genuinely interested in their success.

Sunday they drove back to Victoria and immediately sought out Irene. Irene had gone to Corpus Christi for the weekend with a friend. He briefly wondered if she was out and about with her little ballroom dancing group. The little group she was taking lessons with organized a dance every Sunday night. Gavin secretly wondered who had organized what. Irene was a mover and shaker. He was relieved to see her so busy and moving on with her life. Even though he knew she would mourn David for the rest of her life, it was good to hear that she was living her life and enjoying her retirement.

  Chapter 22

  Near Long Bay

  St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands

  February 11, 2009/1845 Zulu

  Six months later

Amy rushed around the villa preparing all the rooms. The guests would be arriving and needing their rooms. Irene was sitting at the kitchen table going over lists of wedding details that needed attention. She and Irene had been working with a wedding planner long distance since July. She went down to the kitchen and shoved drinks in the refrigerator hurriedly. She heard the doorbell ring and felt the butterflies start. That would be Rock and his wife, Anna, arriving. Gavin came to the kitchen and found Amy. She gave him a worried look.

  “What’s wrong?” Gavin asked.

Irene looked up as well at the concerned tone in Gavin’s voice.

“What if she doesn’t like me?” Amy asked.

Gavin frowned. Amy had heard some stories about Anna O’Malley. She was a woman to be feared! The woman was a famous chef and by most accounts was a real diva.

“I’ve met her. She’s not that bad. In fact, she’s really nice and down-to-earth,” Gavin said.

Amy came around the counter. Before they could walk out of the room, Rock and the awesome Anna appeared in the large kitchen. She looked at Anna. Wow! Anna O’Malley was indeed something, but not what she had expected. It was obvious Anna had quickly assessed the kitchen and then turned and assessed Amy.

“Amy?” Anna extended her hand. “It’s so nice to finally meet you,” Anna said warmly.

“Nice to meet you, too, Mrs. O’Malley,” Amy said shyly as she took Anna’s hand.

“Anna, please,” Anna said with a smile. Anna looked at Irene. “And you must be Irene, Amy’s aunt? Jack and Gavin have told me so much about both of you. It’s so good to finally meet you.”

Anna seemed nice. Amy considered all the rumors she had heard. Anna O’Malley was confident, that was for sure. Self-assurance and strength oozed from the woman. Anna also seemed very genuine and really nice. Rock introduced himself to Irene. Then Rock and Gavin left, telling the women they were going to the airport to ferry the guests back.

“Is there anything I can do to help?” Anna asked.

“We can’t seem to get the caterer and the florist to cooperate,” Irene said offhandedly.

“Well, let’s go pay them a visit, shall we?” Anna asked.

  * * * *

Gavin and Rock went to the airport because four of the eight people they were supposed to pick up had just landed. The rest would be coming on other flights. They ferried Mac and his wife, Liz, and Shaq and a friend he had brought in a van Gavin had procured for the day. Lieutenant Gamez and Senior Chief Alex “Doc” Richards had also come along. They stopped at a hotel and dropped off Shaq and his friend, Justin. Lieutenant Gamez, Senior Chief Richards, Mac, and Liz would all be staying at the villa.

Rock, Mac, and Gavin turned around and hightailed it back to the airport to pick up another crew. They arrived at the St. Thomas airport and waited in the bar, drinking and bantering. Three of the four more expected guests showed up and were ferried to hotels or the villa. The men walked into the villa and looked around. Someone was missing.

“Wasn’t JJ supposed to be on that flight?” Rock asked.

“Yes, he was. Did we leave him?” Gavin asked.

“Is that a loss?” Mac quipped.

“Seriously, Mac? Are you planning on fucking with JJ this whole trip?” Gavin asked, annoyed.

“He was the only one coming from Austin. Let’s go back. Maybe he got delayed,” Rock said.

The men drove up to the St. Thomas airport and saw five police cars parked at the front that hadn’t been there before. They all looked at each other and at the same time uttered, “JJ!” The three men fled the vehicle and rushed into the St. Thomas airport.

  “Oh shit!” Gavin said.

  “Fucking JJ!” Rock cursed.

“Boys, I think we’re going to need an intervention,” Mac said, staring at the scene with concern.

Airport security, as well as the local police, had taken cover in strategic position watching the secure area of the airport. From off in the distance shouts and curses filled the tense air. Suddenly, there was a loud thud as a m
an was tossed into the hallway near the secure entry into the terminals. The local police and airport security drew their weapons.

“Fuck! How the hell am I supposed to fix this?” Rock growled.

“That’s why you’re the captain, sir,” Gavin said.

  “Thanks a lot.”

It took the better part of an hour to convince the St. Thomas police and the Federal Air Marshal who was on the flight that Master Chief James Quincy Jones III of the US Navy Reserve was not a threat to national security or a threat to the good people of St. Thomas.

Yes, they all agreed he was a dumbass, but he was not a threat. Unless unduly provoked, JJ had added. Yes, he would behave if released into the custody of his commanding officer, Captain Jack O’Malley. And Command Master Chief William Henry McGuire would ensure that Master Chief Jones did not cause any further trouble, or else! Mac had added. But Gavin had a hell of a time convincing his brother federal agent not to lockup JJ because of the ass kicking JJ had laid on him.

“It’s a good thing I had you recalled into the Reserve,” Rock said as they piled into the van.

“What the fuck were you thinking? Did you honestly believe you could get that through customs? And why did you beat the shit out of the guy when he tried to take it from you? Did you have to throw him out of the room and into the terminal?” Gavin asked loudly.

“I told that motherfucker not to touch me and I don’t go anywhere without it! And I got it through the Austin airport just fine, meaning US customs! Last time I checked, the US Virgin Islands was still a part of the U fucking S!” JJ countered.

“You’re a dumbass! Who did you piss off so bad that now you have to pack a weapon everywhere you go?” Mac asked.

“I’ve pissed off plenty of people! Fucking terrorists have me on their watch list! I don’t lay back and relax waiting for the perfect shot, fuck head,” JJ spat.

“I can’t help it if you flunked sniper school, twice. You’re like a bull elephant stampeding through the jungle. You have to lay still and be patient for the perfect shot, and who the hell do you think keeps fuck heads like you alive? Shit for brains,” Mac said, sitting back.
