A Promise Kept Page 35

by R E Gauthier

“I can hardly wait for our trip through Glasgow to begin.”

Colin let them off at the hotel front doors with instructions to be ready for him to pick them up at six o’clock.

Kelsey and Miranda walked through the doors into a different time. Miranda’s eyes were so huge and her face filled with wonder as she gazed at the grand foyer and staircase directly inside the hotel’s doors. The staff was amazingly accommodating, and a concierge promised to have clothes waiting for them inside their room. Kelsey knew she had made the right choice to go with the linen pantsuit for Miranda in royal blue and the navy blue for herself as soon as she saw them. The concierge would get a massive tip for his perfect selections. It did help that Kelsey knew Miranda’s size in clothes and shoes.

On the drive back to their hotel, Miranda announced she wanted to have Colin and Estelle’s son’s baby. Kelsey chuckled but then grew serious when she saw the look on Miranda’s face. “You’re not joking.”

“No. I saw the look on their faces when they talked about grandchildren. To think they won’t have a chance because Peter died in Afghanistan. Colin said that in a letter, their son told them he had his sperm collected and stored in case he came back home unable to get his girlfriend or wife pregnant.”

Kelsey recalled the look Miranda got when Colin explained they didn’t have the heart to tell the fertility clinic to destroy the sperm. “So, you want to ask them if we can use their son’s sperm?”

Miranda nodded. “I saw pictures of Michael; he was very handsome. He was a tall, Scottish man who died in Afghanistan, taking away his parent’s only chance to have grandchildren. We could ask them, they could say no, but they could say yes.”

Kelsey thought about the idea. They were going to need to find a suitable donor for their children. Estelle and Colin regaled them with stories of their family’s health and longevity. “We can ask them tomorrow when we go to the play; they invited us to. Don’t get your hopes up, though. They may not want to have us bear their grandchildren.”

“Are you being serious? I saw the way they looked at you. The only times I’ve seen someone, besides me, Aisling, and Nikki look at you in that way, was Nanna and your father. Estelle and Colin Brown love you dearly, and after tonight, they couldn’t help but love me too.”

Kelsey chuckled. “We shall see what they say.”

“Oh, my God! That was even better than Nanna’s cooking, but don’t you dare tell her that. If you do, I’ll deny it.”

Miranda’s heavenly expression made Kelsey giggle. The woman had unbuttoned her pants and walked out of them and her shoes on the way to the king-sized bed. There she stood in her stockings, shirt, and waistcoat with her hands on her hips.

“What is so funny?” Miranda asked with a small pout.

Kelsey shook her head. “Nothing, but looking at you like that makes me happy. So happy I cannot help but giggle.”

“Really? What if I were to…do this?” Miranda advanced on Kelsey with her hands held out as if she were going to grab Kelsey.

Kelsey giggled louder. “I’m afraid you’ve turned me into a giggling fool.”

“Okay, then what if I threaten to tie you up and drive you mad with lust until you think you may die: would you still giggle?”

Kelsey chuckled and made her advance. How about I carry you into that large shower in there and ravish you until you cry for mercy?”

Miranda bit down on her lower lip and nodded. “Yes, please, Mrs. MacGregor; I’ve been waiting for you to come out to play since we left home.”

“Oh, Mrs. MacGregor is out to play forever. I hope you can handle that, Mrs. MacGregor.”

Miranda turned and crooked her finger to come hither over her shoulder. I’m ready. “Let’s give that shower a workout it’s never seen before. Earlier, we were in too much of a rush, but now we have all night.”

The hot water streamed down Kelsey’s body as Miranda’s lips and hands drove her crazy. Kelsey’s mind filled with all sorts of images of them making love, and her body caught on fire. Kelsey recalled the first time she touched those perfect thighs and perky breasts. Today, Kelsey had experience and knowledge of how to drive her wife to the very edge of sanity and then right over that edge.

“Kelsey, do you remember our first time? Miranda asked as she slid her fingers down Kelsey’s belly. Circling Kelsey’s belly button, Miranda smiled.

Kelsey nodded. “Yes, I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do. I was like a teenage boy who could hardly hold it in.”

Miranda slid her finger lower. “Well, I’m going to make you feel like that again. I’m going to blow your mind, and then when you think you can’t go any further, I’m going to take you further than you have ever been.”

Kelsey’s eyes widened. “I thought you had shown me it all.”

“Mrs. MacGregor, I haven’t even got started yet.”

Kelsey felt her whole body tighten in anticipation. “Have I told you yet how much I love you, Mrs. MacGregor?” Kelsey asked.

Miranda smiled. “You did earlier today before we got out of the shower, but I’m quite certain I could hear you say it several times an hour and not tire of you saying it.”

“Aye, my sweet wife, I did, and I will say it many times tonight.”

“And I will give you plenty of reasons to tell me until you beg me for mercy.” Miranda smiled wickedly.

Kelsey shook her head. “I don’t think I will ever beg for mercy where that is concerned.” She taunted her wife to try and top this afternoon’s exciting romp in the shower.

“Haven’t you learned anything by now? Never underestimate a Lesbian Erotica Author; we have more tricks up our sleeves than you could even imagine.”

Kelsey smirked. “You’re not wearing any sleeves.”

“No, you’re right, but I have talents in my fingers that you wouldn’t even dream of me having.” Miranda slid her finger down lower to cover Kelsey’s engorged nub.

Kelsey bucked. “Oh, I’ve dreamed of them; I have dreamed about them for a long time.”

Miranda nipped Kelsey’s lower lip and whispered into Kelsey’s mouth, “then let me make all your dreams come true.”

Kelsey closed her eyes as Miranda’s fingers slid down even further.

Miranda set about keeping all her promises from her wedding vows.

  The End

  About the Author

R.E. Gauthier took ten years to write her debut novel In Plain Sight. The process would turn out to be a learning curve. Through that process, she learned much about her perseverance and dedication. As a self-professed procrastinator, R.E. had to overcome self-doubts and personal demons to finish writing the book. That is all history, or her-story now.

After writing and publishing In Plain Sight, R.E. allowed life take her where it would, but the urge to put pen to paper moved her once more. FBI Senior Special Agent Kelsey MacGregor’s story needed more chapters, and R.E. had more stories to tell.

Master of Elusion’s release came after a little over a year of writing. With the second installment, R. E. officially had herself a book series. Where Secrets Lie carried on where Master of Elusion left off, and readers learned more about the fateful night that made Kelsey who she is. The fourth and final book in the series is now written, and R. E hopes that here readers will like the ending gave Miranda and Kelsey in A Promise Kept. The title of the book means more than just something than what the characters in the book did or said. R. E also made some promises she wants to keep.

  R. E. hopes her readers will enjoy the journey Kelsey MacGregor and Miranda Gauthier have woven for them. R. E. says she only writes what her muses dictate.

  R. E. spends the time she isn’t writing, editing, and publishing with her wife in rural Nova Scotia. The couple lives with two dogs and three cats. From April to October every year, the two bounces around Nova Scotia traveling to Dog Agility competitions with t
heir Australian Cattle Dog, Luca. Luca is the dog depicted in the Blue Dawg Press imprint.

If you ask R. E., who she loves more, her wife or Luca? She’ll tell you; it depends upon the day. “My wife is my world, had my heart, and I’d give my life to her. But for Luca, I’m his world, his heart, and he’d give his life for me. You can see how I’m torn, can’t you?”
