  Suvir Saran is not the guy you’d expect to find homesteading in upstate New York. Born and raised in India, Suvir is an acclaimed New York City restaurateur and chef, and a self-confessed city boy. But now, along with his partner Charlie, he’s raising goats, alpacas, ducks, geese, and chickens on 67 acres.
