  “We will, too,” Lacey said. She dipped a chip in ketchup and peered up at Harley. “Do you think the Ellsworths have forgiven us for upsetting the apple cart? Revealing the sordid sin of interclass romance?”

  Harley smiled. “I believe so. They are good people, just used to their ways. You know.”

  “Yeah.” Lacey sighed. “It wasn’t anything we planned, but I’d like to hope that they’ll think differently about their employees now. You, Harris, Aileen and Mercy. See that you are all whole people, with full lives beyond your days in the castle.”

  Harley’s mustache twitched. “I think you may be right.” His eyes twinkled at both Sam and Lacey. “After all, a little revolution now and then is a good thing, don’t you think?”

  Lacey laughed. “Yes it is. A very good thing.”
