Love's Foolish Punch Page 25

Molly felt him nibble and twirl it in his mouth then he started rubbing her with his finger, all the time licking her.

The orgasm was starting to happen. She felt the tightening of her hole and wanted him to go faster and harder. But she held off from telling him as his other hand squeezed one of her breasts while she squeezed the other one.

‘That’s good,’ she groaned, closing her eyes and flinging her head back.

It was a shock when he quickly grabbed her hips and turned her around, making sure she was on all fours. His fingers started massaging her very fast. Her hips moved with his fingers, and she knew he was reaching for a condom.

‘God! Don’t stop,’ she groaned. Her thighs were getting tight, and she wanted to explode, feeling the heat in her body, the burn in her fanny. ‘Yes!’

Then he used two fingers; his body now pressed against her back, and she felt his breath on her neck.

  ‘Is that good?’ he whispered.

‘Yes,’ she gasped. ‘Yes, it’s good.’

Then she came, groaning loudly as he put a finger inside and gently stroked her.

‘Ah!’ she groaned when he plunged straight in, gently pulling back her hair, so her head was raised.

His lips mauled her neck, and his hand pinched one of her nipples hard as he moved quickly behind her, thrusting with all his energy.

Gulping for air, she felt him bang away and then had another orgasm but was shocked at the speed at which he was going at.

  It made her feel dizzy.

‘Oh yes, yes! Fucking amazing!’ he said, coming out loudly, sucking on her neck. ‘I love you, I love you so much.’

‘I love you too,’ she whimpered out, feeling he was very solid between her legs.

Jamie pulled out and pushed her back on the bed, pulling off the condom and throwing it away. His head headed towards her breasts, and he sucked hard on each one, while his hand gently massaged her between the legs.

  He was too perfect.

  ‘So there’s no manuscript?’

Sitting in her agent’s office the following day, Molly could see Kim was concerned. ‘And Hamish is just saying it involves me and Sam?’

She sipped her tea as Kim nodded.

‘And you say you saw Tommy last week? What else did he say?’

‘He asked if I had spoken to Sam and, to shorten it, he didn’t like the ex.’ Letting out a massive sigh, she sat back in the chair. ‘I’m going away and I know Sam’s not around, so he said. Something doesn’t make sense. Tommy was sweet and said he didn’t want to hurt me, and he was sorry.’

‘Well, Hamish seems wound up and is talking about getting you to sign something to stop you from speaking about Sam,’ whispered Kim. ‘I’m no lawyer but maybe I should speak to ours?’

‘Why can’t I speak about Sam? There’s nothing to stop me. The fact is, I’ve got nothing to say.’

‘But onto something more interesting,’ Kim said, clearing her voice. ‘Mr Bill Dyer’s people have made contact with me regarding one of your programme ideas for your puppet.’

‘He made me go and meet people but, frankly, talking to a pre-pubescent boy isn’t my thing.’ Molly then laughed. ‘Some of these kids still have pimples!’

‘And you’ve not spoken to Bill about anything?’

  ‘Not since last week.’

‘I see,’ Kim broke out into a big smile. ‘Then I have some marvellous news for you. You have been commissioned to provide a pilot with the certain possibility of getting a series.’

Molly thought she’d misheard then shook her head out of total confusion.

‘I’ve been sorting out the contracts and making sure you get a fairer deal than you had before. Remember, I saw how Hamish shafted you. And Mr Dyer has been very fair about it.’ Kim frowned. ‘Why do you look so shocked?’

  ‘Are you sure?’

Her heart was starting to beat faster, and she wanted to scream with laughter.

‘Very sure and you don’t need to start filming until May. Mr Dyer has lined up a production company that-.’

Jumping up to her feet, she just screamed with delight making Kim do the same thing.

‘I know, I know!’ Kim said, getting up and hugging her. ‘This is wonderful news and you needed something good to happen.’

‘Is it real? Jesus, I keep asking that at the moment.’ Molly hugged her back. ‘I’m so happy.’

‘And Bill wants to meet on Friday afternoon, is that okay?’

‘Why didn’t he ask me himself?’

‘I think he’s trying to show it’s professional.’ Then a smile appeared on her lips. ‘It is professional, isn’t it?’

‘I’m in love with Jamie Cohen, and he’s in love with me!’ she proudly said, stepping back and holding her hands together. ‘I’ll tell him when we’re away. He knows I’m working with Bill on something, and they don’t get on. Maybe when he sees how helpful he’s been, Jamie will think differently.’

Walking to Jamie’s flat, with a hop in her step, she couldn’t wait to tell him. When she got to the reception, she could see he was in deep conversation with the manager of the block, Philip, who glanced at Molly then at Jamie.

  He wasn’t smiling.

‘Hello!’ she cheerfully said, seeing Jamie jump.

‘Are we agreed?’ Jamie said, shaking the man’s hand, who in turn nodded before smiling at Molly. ‘Just sorting out some business.’

  ‘Anything interesting?’

‘Nothing,’ he said, grabbing her hand.

She swore the manager gave her a concerned glance before making a call.

‘What was that about?’ she asked as Jamie pulled her into the lift.

‘I think there’s something wrong with the garage and I was letting him know.’

‘Hello,’ she said, wrapping her arms around his waist and looking up. ‘I’ve had a very good day.’

‘Good,’ he replied, kissing her tenderly on the cheek.

‘Oh, and I’ll make Sunday roast for me and you round mine then we fly out on Monday!’ Again she jumped for joy. ‘And then I’ll tell you all my good news while I massage your back on the beach.’

  ‘What good news?’

  ‘Well-.’

He suddenly kissed her, and she melted into his mouth. When he pulled away, Jamie was grinning.

‘And I bought you some bikinis,’ he said, with a glint in his eye. ‘Big bottoms like you instructed and nice sturdy bra tops.’

  ‘Thank you,’ she cutely replied.

The lift stopped, and he pulled her towards the flat.

Once again as the door opened, it was in pristine condition.

‘How come I never see your cleaner?’ she asked, stepping in. ‘You must think my place is a dump.’

‘It’s complicated,’ he said, shrugging his shoulders before walking her into the living room.

‘Can she come and clean my place?’

‘When we’re away.’ He then pushed her onto the sofa before sitting down next to her. ‘I’ve got to tell you something. I need to go away for a couple of nights, but I’ll be back on Friday. There’s premises in Birmingham I want to look at.’

  ‘Can’t I come?’

‘You have to work at the taxi office and do a class tomorrow evening,’ he laughed, stroking her hair. ‘And I’d love you to come but I have to work.’ She buried her head in his chest and hugged him tightly. ‘That gives us an hour.

Molly pulled away and looked up at him as he started to unbutton her duffle coat.

‘And you’ve got my passport and the tickets?’ she asked, watching him concentrate on her toggles. ‘Is there anything else I need?’

‘Do you have to ask?’ Jamie smirked, pushing off her coat.

‘Will you call me when you’re away?’ she asked, not liking the idea he was going. ‘What if you have an accident? Where will I know where you are?’

  ‘Molly, stop worrying.’

  ‘But-.’

He pushed her back on the sofa and ki
ssed her passionately, letting his hand ride up and down her body.

‘The only ‘but’ I want to talk about is you lovely round one,’ Jamie said, kissing her face. ‘Now, open wide.’

  ‘I can’t stay long.’

Molly was in the study of the hotel suite Bill was staying at. She noticed there was no sign of Chloe. Even when she snooped around, no women’s clothing could be found.

‘Why the rush?’ Bill asked, sitting at the table as Molly checked her watch for the hundredth time. ‘Where do you have to go?’

‘Jamie’s been away for a few days and I promised I’d get back home to greet him.’ She heard a distinct growl coming from Bill’s throat. ‘Did you say something?’

‘Nothing you’re willing to listen to,’ he mumbled before looking at her. ‘This work is very good and you shouldn’t be going away when there’s so much to plan.’

‘You, now I know, don’t need me,’ she slyly replied. ‘Why didn’t you tell me about your background in production all those weeks ago? Here was I thinking you were a property developer or something.’

‘I invest in good things. You’re a good thing.’ He smiled. ‘Beatrice wants to come on set to meet Bert.’

‘She can have him.’ Then she let out a disgruntled sigh. ‘Do I really have to have two more made? They won’t match, you know. My grandma made him. Now she’s dead, no-one can replicate Bert.’

‘It seems people think if you get something that looks similar, that might fool others.’ Then Bill looked at her squarely in the eye. ‘But sometimes they have no idea.’

Puzzled by the comment, she examined his concerned expression.

‘Is there something meaningful in that sentence?’

‘Listen Molly, I know you’re not going to listen to me but I think you need to know something.’

‘Honestly?’ Molly said, standing up. ‘Don’t upset me. I’m too happy right now, and it’s a very rare feeling.’

‘I need to tell you something and I know you’re not going to like it.’ Bill got up and walked towards her, grabbing her shoulders. ‘I think you’ve been had, in a big way.’

She felt her insides turn to ice, worried he was going to burst her bubble.

There was a knock on the door.

  It was then flung open.

To her shock, Jamie came marching in, and he looked furious.

‘You couldn’t help yourself, could you?’ he shouted at Bill as someone came following him in.

‘He was causing a scene in reception, saying he needed to see you urgently,’ a woman said, looking very flushed. ‘And before I knew it, he headed up here.’

‘Jamie?’ Molly said, not sure what was going on. ‘Are you okay?’

‘Don’t you dare speak to me!’ he screamed at her, making Molly step back. ‘You’re no better than the others, even worse!’

‘What are you talking about?’ she asked, stepping closer. He put his hand up to warn her to keep back. ‘What’s happened?’

‘I know!’ he said, looking at the pair of them. ‘I thought you were different. I thought you-.’

‘Cut the shit,’ Bill said firmly, ushering the woman out of the room as he closed the door. ‘I know exactly what you’re up to so you can stop it. Tell Molly the truth about what you planned. That’s the least you can do, considering you intend to end it with her right here, right now.’

Standing perfectly still, she was taken aback by the comment. Bill sat down and looked at Jamie, who seemed to be shaking with fury.

‘What are you talking about?’ Molly asked as Jamie looked away.

‘My dearest Molly, you weren’t only set up to think that Jamie needed you as a fake fiancé, you were put here to tempt me, wasn’t that so?’ he said, looking at Jamie. ‘You see, Chloe, the woman Jamie has been sleeping with and my wife, set this whole thing up to see if I was interested in you. The plan was to catch me ‘at it’ and she could then say I had committed adultery, therefore, securing alimony. But the thing is, I knew from day one what she was up to. Isn’t that so, Jamie?’

‘That’s not true,’ Molly said, shocked by the nonsensical story. ‘I mean, some of it is but not that, not at all.’

‘Jamie, tell her. Explain the reason for using Molly. Have you shown her the pictures of my late lover or my child?’ Bill asked, starting to get angry. ‘It was a dirty trick but the only person going to get hurt is Molly.’

‘You fucked Danika!’ Jamie said angrily, storming towards Bill, who didn’t flinch. ‘I know she was in love with you, and that’s why she left me!’

‘This is all because your ex walked out on you? Did you want to seek revenge on me by screwing my wife and dangling bait in front of my eyes? Have you no idea?’

She couldn’t quite get to grips with what she was hearing and walked closer to Jamie, who stepped back.

‘That’s not true, is it?’ she asked gently, trying to touch him as he pulled away. Shocked by his action, she stepped back. ‘You set this up because you didn’t want David to lose out on any deals with Bill. That’s the truth, isn’t it?’

Jamie then looked at her. She couldn’t fathom it out.

It was the same way Sam had done when they had broken up.

As if she was too stupid to see what had happened.

‘Jamie, you wouldn’t do that to me, I know you wouldn’t.’

‘David doesn’t need my financial support, he never did. And if that’s what he told you, then that’s a lie. No Molly, they hatched a plan to see if you’d drop your knickers. But you’re a lady who didn’t, which can’t be said of Danika, can it?’

Like a flash, Jamie went for Bill, who quickly got up and defended the punch, pushing Jamie back.

‘I know you don’t believe it, but I never slept with Danika,’ Bill said, shaking his head solemnly. ‘Can’t you see what you’ve done? Have you no idea what damage you’ve now caused?’

‘You’re a fucking arsehole!’ Jamie shouted and looked like he was on the verge of tears. ‘You take anything and everything you want! You just don’t care what damage you cause.’

‘What are you doing now to her?’ Bill asked, pointing to Molly. ‘You never wanted her, isn’t that the case? It was all set up to make me fall for the lie, but I didn’t and hopefully, neither did she.’

Her lips were starting to tremble. She didn’t have the nerve to ask Jamie if it was true. From his body language and lack of defence, it dawned on her that it was.

‘Did you lead me on?’ she quietly asked, holding back the sob in her throat. ‘Did you do that to me?’

‘He’s twisting it,’ Jamie replied flatly. ‘That’s what he does.’

‘You said you loved me,’ Molly whispered so Bill couldn’t hear. ‘And you know I love you, very much. I would never cheat on you. Jamie? Don’t you love me?’

There was a deathly silence in the room.

Then Jamie stood very straight, turned around to look at her.

‘I’m sorry,’ he gulped and walked out.

The tears spurted out of her eyes. Bill was looking at the door before glancing at her.

‘Oh god Molly, don’t tell me you’re actually in love with him?’ he said, walking towards her. ‘Jesus, even you can’t be that gullible.’

  She ran out.

‘Jamie!’ she shouted, catching him up as he turned the corner.

Molly reached out her hand to touch stop him but was shocked when he turned and pushed her away. She stumbled backwards and hit her head against the wall, the thud stunning her as she fell to the ground.

Looking up, he seemed so angry, putting his hands through his hair and shaking his head furiously. All Molly could feel was a dull pain.

‘I don’t understand,’ she sobbed, trying to get to grips with what was happening. ‘What have I done wrong?’

  He turned and walked out.

Then she saw Chloe standing at the other end, glancing down at her feet when all Molly did was sob her heart out, watching the man she loved walk away.<

  ‘You can’t go up.’

It was Philip behind the security desk when Molly went to Jamie’s flat an hour later.

She’d called and begged him to speak to her, wanting to sort it all out while her head throbbed.

  It was a misunderstanding.

  That’s all.

And he didn’t declare his love because he was angry.

But she knew, deep down, that wasn’t the case.

‘But you know me. I just need to go and see Jamie, he-.’

‘The gentleman doesn’t rent a place, anymore. It has new tenants,’ he said quietly. ‘I believe you might have some keys? I need them back, if you don’t’ mind.’

‘You’ve got to be mistaken. Jamie Cohen lives there.’

‘Mr Cohen was using it for meetings and staying the occasional night. His brother, David Cohen, owns the flat,’ came the reply.

Putting her hand into her bag, she took out the keys and handed them over, shocked at the information.

‘Do you know where Jamie has gone?’ she asked, trying not to sob out her question. ‘I need to see him urgently. Can you get a message to him?’

‘I’m sorry, dear,’ Philip sympathetically said. ‘I’ve been asked not to forward any details to you.’

  ‘To me?’

‘Yes,’ he replied, looking away. ‘That’s the instruction from Jamie Cohen.’

Her head felt like it was going to explode as she turned around and walked out of the building. She didn’t know who to ring and what to do. Squirrel had no idea she was supposed to be going away, let alone that she was in love with Jamie.

Summoning up the strength, she managed to get to the train station and go home, her head spinning with confusion.

When she opened her front door, deep down she hoped he was there.

There was no sign of him.

Molly took a deep breath and decided she wasn’t going to have a meltdown.

She’d wait patiently for him to come while under the duvet.

All day Saturday, she waited. She called and texted and emailed. And she waited some more. It was the last official day of their fake engagement. They were supposed to celebrate the fact together.
