“Duke?” she calls me softly, her breathy voice catching when I’m not responding.
I blink and pull her into me, squeezing her hard against me as my heart is trying to run for the hills. I’m going to be a dad. Skye, my wonderful wife, is pregnant with my baby. I’m shivering under the assault of emotions I’m feeling.
“We’re going to have a baby. You and me.”
She nods against my chest, kissing me over my pressed shirt. “Our puzzle is going to be a piece closer to being complete. Are you happy?”
I laugh and tilt her head up to kiss her quickly. “You have no idea how happy you make me, Skye. But you’ve known this since when?”
She smiles and laughs with me, her laugh throaty and happy. Carefree even. “I got a call back this morning. I had a blood test a few days ago to make sure that the test I did wasn’t wrong. I was dying to tell you at lunch, but I wanted to be alone with you.”
I kiss her again, nipping her lips, my hands finger their way in her hair and on her pert ass. “Good call,” I say against her lips before I deepen the kiss, tangling our tongues together.
“Why?” she asks me breathlessly.
“Because I need to make love to my wife, the mother of my future child. I need to kiss your stomach, to show you how much I love you.”
She whimpers softly, and we’re kissing again. Love, happiness, hope, everything is colliding in me, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to tell her how blessed I am.
I’m a husband, I’m going to be a father, and I’m with the love of my life. What more can I ask?
The End.

Writing this part is quite difficult. I want to express all my gratitude, but somehow always being chocked by emotion, I’m also always afraid of forgetting someone.
I have many people who helped me with Fix Up, and I hope I will find the right words to tell you how thankful I am.
The Patch Up series is quite an adventure for me. While at first I wanted to write Patch Up as a standalone, I never thought I would find someone willing to beta read for me, someone who would become also a friend, a friend I know I can always count on when I need help with my story. She pushed me to write Fix Up and also Kate and Derek’s story. She cheered me and comforted me when I was freaking out. So, thank you with all my heart Wendy. We missed our first anniversary, but I swear it’s because I can’t believe we’ve known each other and worked together for a year already. Isn’t it insane? Thank you, fabulous lady. I hope to work on many more stories with you.
Lucii, I can’t believe how lucky I am that I know you. You’ve been a constant support and help since we’ve virtually met. You have no idea what it means for me and how happy I am that you connected so much with Skye and Duke. Thank you a lot for your enthusiasm for Fix Up, and I hope others will feel the same.
Stacie, you are one amazing friend. You’re looking out for me, and you offered your help so willingly that I’m still wondering what I did to deserve it. Thank you so much for your support and your love for this series. You’re one of the sweetest people I know.
Cheree, thank you a lot for beta reading Fix Up and so fast at that! Your enthusiasm for my books, your help spreading the word and your kindness mean a lot. Now, I just hope you won’t be disappointed by the next ones! I’m still looking for a good nickname for you, by the way. ;)
Christie, your help with my books, your enthusiasm at reading them and your messages helped me when I was starting to doubt. Knowing that you think my characters are believable, that Skye and Duke moved you, is one of the best things an author can hope for.
Tiffany, thank you a lot for your help, your advice to improve my story. I know that Patch Up truly moved you and knowing that Fix Up didn’t disappoint you is wonderful. I can’t wait to read your book! Now, go work on it!
Sue, thank you a lot for your email after reading Fix Up. I’m glad that you loved it and that you love Duke even more now.
My amazing Street Team … You, ladies, are amazing. You made me laugh, you cheered for me and you’re always helping me spread the word about my books.
Kerry, your drool-worthy pics really make me want to write faster and more stories. I hope you’ll post more soon! ;)
Lynn, Corrinne, Louise, Barbara, thank you for your help and for recommending my books to others and for reading them in the first place.
Dawn, I hope Fix Up will not disappoint you. You were one of the first to support me after Patch Up was released, so thank you for everything. I can’t wait to know what you think about Skye and Duke’s conclusion.
Last but not least, thank you for purchasing Fix Up. I look forward to reading what you think of Skye and Duke’s last journey. In the meantime, I will keep my fingers crossed for you to enjoy it.

What readers are saying about Patch Up:
“It is very intense. If you like books such as Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and Wait For You by J. Lynn then you will LOVE this. If you don’t, you should still try Patch Up anyway as it is pretty unique.” Laura, BookishTreasures.
“Patch Up is a perfect mix of everything I love in New Adult. StephanieWitter made a phenomenal job at creating another gut wrenching story about fighting with depression and twist and turns of life that hooked me and made me breathless. Like Jessica Sorensen, Colleen Hoover and Tammara Webber, Witter made her way to my top threesome changing it to foursome.” Smokin’ Hot Book Blog.
“Patch Up is intense, riveting, heartbreakingly sad at times, angsty, heartwarming, and inspirational. I was hooked from the start. Had I not passed out in the wee hours of the morning, I would have read Patch Up straight through; it is THAT good.” Dawn for Rock Stars of Romance.
“I thought that the plot was beautifully written, and I found myself completely immersed in it! I also loved that the author didn’t downplay what the main characters had been through! The characters were amazing!” Kendall, Book Crazy.
