“You know, I am going to marry you someday?” Wylie smiled, pulling Eva onto his lap.
“Oh, you are, huh? Are you going to ask me first or just tell me?”
“I’ll ask you…eventually.” He kissed her mouth sweetly. “But first, I want to date you. For at least a thousand dates so I’ll never run out of stories to tell our kids that start with, when I was dating your mama…”
She dipped her head to kiss him this time. “Wylie O’Reilly? I sure do love you.”
“I love you more.”
