Sexy Holiday Delights Page 34

When Todd had walked into the house, he’d been shocked by what he saw. The smell of Italian food permeated throughout the house. Lights dimmed, with only the Christmas tree reflecting throughout the downstairs. Then he noticed the treats lining the floor. Taking a few steps, he then noticed her shoes, then the notes. And he’d smiled. His baby wanted to play tonight.

He now stood outside his bedroom door reading and rereading the note Erica had left for him. The words struck a chord in his heart, bringing tears to his eyes. Wiping furiously, he gathered his emotions before he walked through that door. Not that he couldn’t allow her to see him in a vulnerable state, but he just wanted to have his wits about him when he stepped inside. This week had been rough on both of them and he’d been concerned that it would set them back quite a few steps. That the progress they’d made last week would all be lost. Seeing what Erica had done tonight had minimized those fears.

Opening the door to their bedroom, he gasped at the sight of his wife spread out on the bed. Seeing her like this made his mouth water. Oh fuck, this woman made him crazy for her every damn day.

“Well, Merry Christmas to me,” laughter filled his voice.

“Welcome home, baby,” she purred in that sultry tone that he loved so much.

“Aren’t you wrapped up all nice and pretty for me?” he whispered as he began undressing, throwing his shoes and clothes across the room, not caring one bit where they landed. He would deal with that tomorrow. There would be no wasting time tonight. Luckily, he had been able to sleep on the plane, so he had plenty of energy.

“I figured you might want to open your Christmas gift a little early. Miles is at your parents’ house,” she said while staring at him.

“I figured as much. I’m sure they love having him there,” he responded without thinking. He had no doubt Erica had taken care of things with their son. As soon as he pulled off his underwear and fisted his cock, she licked her lips. “Damn, baby, don’t do that,” he groaned.

“Don’t do what?” she asked with a smile in her voice.

Yeah, she knew exactly what she was doing. Walking over to the bed, he trailed his fingers up her legs, slowly climbing up to the apex of her thighs. Dipping his hand under the bow, he rubbed one finger along her slit, gathering up the wetness that was seeping out of her. Raising his finger to his mouth, he licked her essence from his digit. His eyes never left hers and she whimpered in need as she watched him.

“Two can play that game, baby. My gift, my rules,” pulling at the bow covering her lower body, he was pleased that it came free so easily. Kneeling down, he bent his head toward her mound and took one swipe. He lapped her from the bottom of her pussy to her clit. Her unique taste burst over his tongue, both salty and sweet. Foregoing any pretense, he grabbed her hips and pulled her slick channel closer to his mouth. “Hold on tight, baby, Daddy’s hungry.”

Clasping his mouth onto her mound, he licked, sucked, bit, and nibbled as if his life depended on it. And to him, it absolutely fucking did. Her taste was like ambrosia and he couldn’t get enough. The more he tasted her, the more he wanted. She was the only Christmas gift he ever wanted. She would always be enough for him. Her screams of pleasure began to reach his ears and he smiled as he looked up at her thrashing on the bed. That’s what he liked to see. His woman in the throes of passion. If he could make a living pleasuring his woman, he would. She reached down and grabbed onto his hair, simultaneously pulling him closer and pushing him away, which made him chuckle.

“Oh God! Todd, baby,” she exclaimed as her hips began bucking up and down. Releasing a loud moan, her body tensed up. Tasting her essence as her orgasm coursed through her body, he continued to suck at her and lick wherever his tongue could reach, not wanting to miss one drop. His cock was throbbing so much, it was almost painful. But he would go through any amount of discomfort if it meant Erica would make those sounds for him every fucking day.

Her breathing was ragged. “Todd...Todd,” she breathed out his name every time she exhaled. “Need you.”

No other words needed to be said, “I’m here, baby,” he said as he climbed up the bed and tugged at the bow across her breasts, freeing the mounds to his gaze. Licking his lips, he eyed his very own sugarplums sitting atop her perfectly formed breasts. Lining up his cock, he slid inside her slowly, but with deliberate movements. Looking down at the woman lying beneath him, he knew that whatever troubles they’d been going through were over.

After she’d ripped him a new one on the phone, he’d made a decision. Calling Steven, he told him that when he got home, he was taking a two-week vacation to be with his family. He’d also contacted their Human Resources Department and told them to open two new positions for senior associates in the international and emerging markets. It was time for him to become less of a doer. It was past time he left that to someone else. He’d worked hard to get to where he was, but not at the risk of his family. Never again.

Eyes filled with lust and desire as she looked up at him, his wife accepted his thickness inside of her body with open arms. Her deep moans and pleasure-filled gasps were music to his ears. Once he was fully seated to the hilt, he leaned down, kissing her deeply. Allowing her to taste herself on his lips, their passion was overflowing. Moving slowly to his own rhythm, now that he was here, he refused to be rushed. He needed to savor the feeling of simply making love to his woman.

“You are my life, Erica,” he whispered to her.

  “And you’re mine,” she responded.

“I’ll never let you go,” he promised, all the while stroking his thick shaft inside her body.

“And I’ll never want you to,” she said as she reached up and grabbed his face in her hands, her legs wrapped around his body as he took them to the edge of ecstasy.

“What God has joined together…” he began quoting the last note she’d posted on their bedroom door.

“Let no man put asunder,” she finished for him.

  New Year’s Eve

“Four...three...two...one! Happy New Year!!” Todd kissed Erica hard on the mouth, his kiss promising better things to come when they were finally alone. “Happy New Year, Mrs. Atkins.”

“Happy New Year, Mr. Atkins!” she returned over the din of the large crowd of people.

“Happy New Year, Mom, Dad!” Miles said as he ran over to both of them, wrapping his arms around their waists in a group hug. He was up super late tonight, but then again, it was only once a year. This was the first time he’d been allowed to stay up this late and he was enjoying every minute.

“Happy New Year, sweetie. Are you having fun?” she asked. His cheeks were rosy from playing and running around with the other kids in attendance. They definitely had a full house tonight.

“Yup! Okay, bye! Bobby and I are playing a game,” smiling as he gave her a quick hug, he waved bye. Running off quickly, he went to do whatever it was that ten year old boys did when they had the chance to stay up past midnight.

The entire family was celebrating the New Year holiday at Todd’s parents’ house. Erica’s parents had come over, as well as Bill and his latest squeeze. There were some other friends and family members attending as well, and everyone was having a good time. Erica’s friend from college had come also and if she was a betting woman, she would swear that Bill was totally smitten. Alicia was a woman with a mission and she would have none of his shenanigans. Erica just hoped she would be around when the fireworks went off. This was going to be fun.

“What are you smirking about?” Todd asked.

“Bill. Have you seen the way he’s been looking at Alicia tonight?” nodding toward their friends, her voice was practically giddy with excitement.

“Yes, but so has his date,” he deadpanned.

“Meh...she’ll be okay. If I were you, I’d be more concerned with your friend getting his heart broken,” looking up at him from under her lashes, she took a sip of her apple cider. Excited at the possibility of Bill
being brought to his knees by a beautiful, curvy, intelligent black woman was almost too good to be true.

“Okay, how about we let Bill handle his own love life. I’m more concerned about when I’ll be able to get my wife alone,” removing the glass from her hand, he leaned down to whisper in her ear, “I need you, baby. Let’s go upstairs.”

Turning her eyes up to him, she smiled in response, “I always need you, Todd,” was her honest response. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she stood on her toes to kiss him, “What do you think about trying again for another baby?” she asked. Looking at him with anticipation and a bit of nervousness, she waited for him to respond.

Silent for a few moments, a slow smile came over his face. “Baby, I don’t need another child. Miles is enough to keep us busy for a long time,” he responded with a smile, kissing her on the lips.

“Would you be upset if we did get pregnant?” worrying her bottom lip with her teeth, she already suspected that her body was beginning to change.

“Erica, if we were blessed with another child, I would be the happiest man on earth,” he said in a low voice.

“Then I guess the new year is going to be an interesting time for us. I wonder what it’ll feel like to be married to the happiest man on earth,” smiling as she said the words, she waited for him to understand what she’d just said.

“Wait. Erica, baby, are you sure?”

Laughing, she nodded her head up and down, “I’m about ninety-nine percent positive. I was waiting until after the holiday to go the doctor.”

“Well, I say let’s not tempt fate. If there’s still a one-percent chance that you’re not, let’s go take care of that now,” turning them in the right direction, he started walking them toward the stairs.

“Todd, what are you doing?” she laughed out loud at his excitement. She had no desire to stop him.

“I’m taking my beautiful wife upstairs to make love. Got a problem with that?” he teased.

Shaking her head from side-to-side, “Nope, not at all. As a matter of fact, I think I heard somewhere that making love as the new year came in was a surefire way for married couples to renew their love for each other.”

Todd lifted her in his arms and made his way to the upper level, leaving their family downstairs laughing at their antics. She knew she should be embarrassed, but she wasn’t. This holiday season had seen them through ups, downs, happiness, and sadness. Smiling seductively, she wrapped her arms around her husband’s neck. She was ready for whatever came their way next. They had already been through the worst. As long as they were together, they could handle anything.

This new year was a time of rebirth and renewal. After this past year, she knew their love could withstand anything. All those years ago, she’d gotten a second chance to find love and happiness and she was never letting that go.

  You’re Still Upset?

  Wednesday Afternoon

“Does she know that’s distracting as hell?” Maxwell Santino asked, allowing his gaze to be commandeered by the hypnotic sway of plush, satin-covered hips.

“I think so, but I doubt she cares,” replied Maxwell’s best friend and partner, Jonas DeMarco. “She’s been handing out Christmas presents to the office all morning. I don’t think I’ve seen the IT department smile so much since this year’s ComiCon. She even came by my office and left a box on my desk this morning.”

“In that get-up? Really…” Maxwell questioned, his voice trailing off, the disapproval fairly dripping from his lips. “She hasn’t spoken to me since earlier in the week unless I spoke to her first. I’m getting a little tired of her silent treatment, and she is taking this misunderstanding to another level. I only hope this afternoon’s little surprise will make up for the mess we’ve had this week.”

Fiona Day Santino carried a Santa-sized sack of presents up and down the aisle of the IT department, wishing each and every employee happy holidays. Taking into account that not everyone celebrated Christmas, she joked and called them “winter thank-you gifts.”

What she didn’t realize was that every time she bent over to retrieve a present from the sack, the kick pleat in the back of her size eighteen, satin, pencil skirt flared out giving a flirty glimpse of her holiday thigh-high stockings. Four small red satin bows surrounded each thigh and connected to a matching black garter discreetly hidden under her skirt. The only reason Maxwell knew what the garter looked like was because he had given her the damn set last Christmas.

Maxwell leaned his wide shoulders against the doorframe and crossed his arms over his massive chest. At six feet four and two hundred forty pounds, he was both an intimidating and beautiful sight to behold. His anger was almost palpable as, with thunder in his eyes, he observed his four male interns leaning conspicuously out into the aisle, ogling the same delightful, feminine curves he was watching. He turned when Jonas chuckled and came up behind him to clap him on the shoulder.

“Well, my friend, first let me do my duty as your best friend and say this surprise is not little, by any means. She will love it, love you, and all will be well in the Santino household by Christmas, or my name isn’t DeMarco. Have faith in your lady. She hates drama in her house as much as you do,” Jonas said comfortingly. “But as much as I want to stay and wallow in your domestic despair with you, I have a lunch date in twenty minutes with a lady friend who’s feeling amorous in the extreme. If I don’t come back after one o’clock, know that I’m enjoying the kindness of some female companionship. Consider it my Christmas gift to myself,” Jonas informed Maxwell with a conspiratorial gleam in his eye.

“You know you’re taking advantage of being a forty-nine-percent shareholder in this company, right?” scoffed Maxwell. “Your licentious tendencies and lagging work ethic are not amusing to this fifty-one percent majority partner.”

Jonas laughed mightily and wiggled his eyebrows.

“If you met Stephanie, you would agree that giving up those two percent to you and your obvious disapproval are so worth it. Besides, you’re the figurehead here and the one with the final say. I’m just your genius second-in-command. No one cares what I do, and I like it that way. I’ll see you in on Christmas…maybe.” With a cheery whistle, Jonas sauntered toward the office elevators with a jaunty wave.

“Reprobate,” muttered Maxwell as he shut the door to his office, effectively blocking his view of Fiona laughing uproariously with a gaggle of office co-workers.

  ****

Fiona couldn’t deny she was being deliberately overt in her holiday festivities this week: hanging lights on her office door, bringing in Christmas cookies to me
etings, and finally, delivering office gifts. She loved the holiday and the values it represented: faith, hope, and charity. But she had been fighting the overwhelming urge to slap the hell out of Maxwell for days.

She was never a vindictive person previously, but this past week she was attempting to pass a clear message on to the President and CEO of IWorks. She would not be undermined, in any fashion. Since giving the company’s largest potential account to the Director of Advertising last week, Maxwell had made sure to stay out of her way while they were in the office. He knew she was seething and was avoiding any “unprofessional confrontation” as he called it.

If he couldn’t see her professional worth, someone else damn well would. She might be overcompensating with the overload of Christmas cheer, but it was keeping her from going to prison.

When she returned to her office, she tossed the empty Santa sack on the mahogany leather loveseat and made her way to her desk. Dropping into the desk chair, she kicked off her heels and booted up her laptop. Fiona ran her palms over her face, inhaling deeply, trying to shake off her tiredness.

Even though she might have had her biggest account taken from her, she was still the Senior Advertising VP, and other accounts needed to be pitched and won. One thing she knew for certain was that she was the best at what she did. She could sell ice to an Eskimo, a Mac to a Mormon, and still have time to go home to Max and cook up a meal. This was what had initially infuriated her—the pitiful reasons why Max undermined her. It didn’t make sense.
