Werebeasties Page 4

Adam understood what that was like. Constant struggle for control. Their hatred for Jacoby had bred a deep, gnawing anger within them. And when they’d made that pact with Azazel, somehow that anger had manifested when they’d shifted into their beastly forms. Their killings against Azazel’s enemies had been brutal and unmerciful. Now they were no longer serving Azazel, but the anger remained. Caged. Like their inner beast.

Adam preferred to be in his human form all the time. Each time he surrendered to his primal instinct, it felt so good to be bounding on four paws, feeding the urge of his inhuman side. His inner beast hadn’t been satisfied for a long time. It had fed on the fear of his victims when they had served Azazel. Now that they had ceased being someone else’s dog, the beasts still demanded violence. They wanted to rip, maul and tear someone’s flesh from their bones.

A week before his resignation, Adam had almost had an accident. He was having a power lunch with a client and his attorney when an unbearable urge to shift overcame him. Adam was ready to swing his hand full of claws and shred those two men in pieces for no reason. He realised he was a danger to people around him. Unlike David and Calvin, who still possessed most of their control, his was diminishing with each passing day.

“Then tonight is my turn,” Adam said.

They each had agreed on taking turns of spending the night with Samantha. He was the last, on account he was unsure this whole scheme would work.

“I’m sure Calvin won’t mind. I didn’t see him anywhere. Did he come—”

David words were cut off in mid-sentence when they heard someone screaming.

  It came from Samantha’s bedroom.

Adam caught David’s gaze. The two of them raced there. Samantha burst out from the door, clad in a bathrobe, before they could reach her room. “There’s something in the closet. It’s huge. And black. And its eyes glow…”

Adam comforted her. The poor girl was shaky. “There’s nothing in the closet. You’re imagining things.”

  “I swear I’m not lying.”

“Nobody called you a liar, sweetie,” David said. “Let me check, okay?” He strode into the bedroom with his hands fisted.

“There’s no bogeyman in the closet,” Adam added.

  “But…”

“Ssh. You’re just tired from last night.” Adam ushered her back to her bedroom.

David was closing the window and latching it securely when they entered. There was no one else but them in the room. The door to the walk-in closet was wide open. The light was on.

  “See? No bogeyman here.”

  Samantha calmed a bit. “I thought…”

  “You’re just tired. That’s all.”

David took her hand and tugged her into a chair. She sat. “You’re pale.” He studied her. “Why don’t I ask Nigel to get you a cup of tea?”

“T—that sounds like a good idea.”

“I’ll tell Nigel.” Adam turned on his heels and stormed outside.

  That idiot.

After making a brief stop at the kitchen, Adam headed to the study room to confront Samantha’s bogeyman. As he suspected, he found Calvin Neutzel in there, naked, busy mixing drinks at the mini-bar.

“What the hell did you do?” Adam demanded.

“I was curious,” Calvin answered without turning his head. “I went to see her but she was in the shower.”

“And you shifted?” Adam rolled his eyes. “We want her to accept us. Not to scare her.”

“Sorry,” Calvin bit back. “Her scent was overwhelming. So I took a few sniffs here and there.” He drained his glass in several large gulps. “Smelt David’s too. That son of a bitch.”

  The door burst open.

“Speaking of the devil,” Calvin drawled.

“You’re a fucking idiot.” David stepped in and slammed the door. “If I hadn’t let you out through the window, how were we going to explain you going all furry in front of her?”

Calvin shrugged. “Maybe she likes big cats. Women dig cats. Many have told me I’m adorable.”

“Right. Rottweilers are also cute and cuddly.”

“When did you get here, anyway? I didn’t hear any car,” David asked.

“Course you didn’t. I drove from the airport and my rented car broke down just four miles from here. So I leisurely walked,” Calvin said.

“In broad daylight? What if someone saw you?”

“They will think I’m a stray cat. That’s all.”

“A six-hundred-pound black cat. Yeah, they’re going to buy it.”

“I didn’t see anyone, okay. So tell me how sweet Ms Knight is doing?” Calvin sank into a couch.

  “She’s mine today and tonight.”

“I thought it was my turn.”

“As far as I was concerned, you weren’t even here yet.” Adam leaned against the bookcase. “Besides, I’m going to take her shopping. We have a charity gala tomorrow night, remember? I don’t think she has a decent dress.”

Calvin groaned miserably. “Gala? Do we have to come?”

“Apparently, we have to. Since I’ve been living here exclusively, Lily Huntington thinks I’m rude that I keep denying her invitations.”

Lily Huntington was a grand dame of Aspen socialites, and for the past few months she had been hounding his ass into attending her stupid social events. Lily knew he was single and a very eligible bachelor, and she couldn’t stop playing matchmaker for the elite singles in her inner circle.

“Does Samantha like parties?” David asked thoughtfully.

“Women her age usually like parties.” Adam scratched his chin. “She didn’t attend many due to her hardship, I believe.”

“She doesn’t even like wine. I wonder if the party is going to be torture for her.”

“Who knows, it might be fun for her. If she’s going to be our woman, she’ll have to get used to this sort of stuff,” Calvin said.

Our woman. Adam knitted his brows. Or mate… Between the three of them, they’d shared women in bed. Of course, the passion never left the sheets and the sex was a mere casual encounter. This time was different—his lion was acting so territorially towards Samantha. Adam was sure that David and Calvin’s inner beasts were the same too.

Adam gave a nonchalant shrug. “Who knows, she might like it. I think I’d better tell her to get ready. I’ll take her out after breakfast.”

David turned to Calvin sharply. “And you—I expect you to behave.”

Calvin snorted. “This from a guy who got hit by a flying TV?”

  Chapter Four

She couldn’t believe Adam was taking her out shopping. He also wanted her to attend gala for rich people. She tried to shy away from the social event because she was sure she wouldn’t fit in. She’d stick out marvellously. And attending a party wasn’t in her contract; she had checked it twice. Adam squished her argument by reminding her that she had to be willing to perform anything the three of them asked. She lost. Adam won. As Adam drove her into the Aspen shopping district, she wondered if he had made a mistake. One couldn’t just take white trash and dress her with fancy stuff and pass her as a high-class socialite. It would show.

Samantha decided if Adam wanted to make a fool of himself, she didn’t really have a say in it. She might as well just go along. He was her boss.

As she was trying on new gowns, the whole shopping trip turned out to be not so bad at all. It actually started to feel fun. In one designer boutique, Adam stayed patiently in the private waiting area. She then paraded herself to see if Adam liked it. And good gracious, that man was more finicky than a cranky bridezilla. None of the gowns pleased him.

Samantha pulled up the zipper of a classic-cut, long black dress, staring at her reflection in the private dressing room mirror. The dress fitted perfectly on her curvy figure and it cost a year of her salary in the factory. She smoothed the crease on the bodice, halting her breath as she opened the dressing room door. She hoped that Adam would like the gown this time.

  Adam was che
cking emails on his smart phone when she stepped out. His gaze raked over her ever so critically. He pocketed his phone and rose from the couch. He motioned to the sales lady with an armload of gowns to leave them in privacy.

  “Well?” Samantha nervously asked.

Adam circled her like a predator marking his prey.

  Sam waited with halted breath.

“I love it,” he finally said. “The colour suits you.”

A wave of relief washed over her. Adam liked the dress.

She glanced at the price tag and cringed. “But it’s too expensive…”

“Shush. Let me worry about that. The dress looks pretty on you and I like it.”

  “You sure?”

“Sam.” A warning tone laced his voice. It seemed he didn’t like to be argued with.

Sam threw her hands up. “Okay. Thank you.”

A smile found its way to Adam’s lips. “No problem.”

  “I’ll just go change back.”

Adam merely nodded. Sam turned back to the dressing booth. Adam followed her.

“Let me help you with that…”

A wicked thrill surged past her. He wants to…

Maybe buying her a dress was his excuse to get her out of her pants. Silly man. She was eager and willing without him turning tricks. Lust flared within her. Suddenly, she was dying for his touch. Like the first time she’d met him.

Adam invited himself into the dressing booth. He closed the door behind him and helped her out of the expensive dress. The place was designed for one person. Adam managed to fit in without it being cramped. Sam stood in her underwear, gaze on the mirror. It felt kind of weird. She was almost naked while Adam was fully dressed. He was in power while she had been stripped down to submission.

He hung the dress on the hook. His eyes zeroed in on her naked chest. Her nipples tightened instantly. She remembered how good it felt when Adam played with them. And how he had denied her release.

  “Turn around,” Adam ordered.

  She obeyed.

They stood face to face, almost touching. Her nipples grazed his crisp sport jacket suit. Her belly fluttered. Her pussy hummed in longing.

Adam bent down and kissed her. Sam welcomed the kiss with greed. He ran his hands all over her, groping and kneading. Her breath came out as stuttered gasps. She touched him back. His chest. His flat belly. She touched his groin. Adam let out a growl. The man was aroused. His cock jumped under his designer slacks.

She broke the kiss. “May I?” she asked breathlessly.

  His Adam’s apple bobbed. “Sure…”

  Sam squeezed his erection.

A strangled moan escaped his throat.

Sam unbuckled his belt and unzipped his pants. Adam’s cock bulged behind the restraint of his briefs. She planted an experimental kiss on it. His cock twitched. Adam purred happily.

She yanked his pants down and pulled his briefs to his knees. His cock sprang free. He was as impressive as David. Slightly shorter, but fatter. His crown was almost as big as a medium plum. Sam got dizzy just by looking at him.

She opened her mouth and licked him. Slowly. From his dark thatch to his enormous tip. He groaned. Pearly liquid dripped from his slit. She ran her tongue over it, sweeping back and forth. A salty yet creamy taste flooded her mouth. She was surprised to find him more pleasant tasting than her ex. Jared had a slightly bitter, soapy tang taste.

Suddenly, she felt ravenous for him. She stretched out her jaw to accommodate his girth and slowly sucked him until his crown touched the back of her throat. A gag reflex surged through her momentarily. She was trying to take him too much, too soon. She sucked again. Adam’s groan turned louder. When she looked up, Adam was watching her with ecstasy in his eyes. Pride swelled in her chest. She pleased him. And from the gruff growling noise he made, she thought she’d made a grown man cry.

“Samantha…” he whispered. He buried his fingers in her hair, clenching and unclenching. His breathing laboured.

He looked as if he was close to the edge of coming. Sam sucked harder. She massaged his shaft and balls.

Adam stiffened. He stopped her all of a sudden. “Get up.” His voice was rough, as if it had taken him a tremendous effort to speak.

She paused, not quite catching what he meant.

Adam eased himself out of her mouth. “Up,” he barked this time.

She shambled to her feet. Adam seized her arms and pushed her against the mirror. He plastered his mouth on hers, kissing her hard. Fabric tore. He had ripped her panties, his hand was on her mound a heartbeat later, stroking her dripping pussy. He pushed her legs apart.

He nudged her wet seam. Without a word, Adam penetrated her.

  Sam cried out.

His fat cock ripped her open, spearing until his thatch grazed her clitoris. The air suddenly thinned. She couldn’t breathe. That stretched, pain-and-pleasure feeling returned. She hadn’t really recovered from David’s fuck-a-thon last night, but she welcomed this one.

  “Mr Hauser…”

  “Call me Adam.”

“Adam.” She wrapped her arms around his neck as he rocked her with shallow, hummingbird thrusts. “I…”

She wanted to say the pleasure he gave her was beyond words. She also wanted to say that he didn’t need to think about her pleasure. He started to pick up his pace and ram her with a series of short, rapid fucks. All thoughts evaporated from her mind.

She creamed luxuriously, glazing his cock with her liquid lust.

She cried instead, sobbing on his shoulder.

Adam seemed eager to finish what she had started. He pounded her with relentless thrusts until she couldn’t stave off the temptation any longer. She surrendered.

A shock wave of orgasm claimed her whole.

Her body quaked. She floated to oblivion. Adam slammed a half dozen more strokes and climaxed. His cock spurted in her depths. His body shook. They convulsed together as they rode the endorphins and at the same time, trying not to make any conspicuous noise. Adam kissed her gently. Her cunt squeezed him in inward strokes. His cock slowly grew soft. She tightened her muscles, choking his shaft. Adam cursed. Just for fun, she did it again. He suffocated her with a long kiss until she almost fainted from lack of oxygen.

He let her go. She gasped for air.

Adam withdrew and fixed himself decent.

Sam felt shaky, her knees weakening. Adam held her, supporting her weight.

  “You okay?”

  She nodded.

“For moment, I thought I’d gone too hard on you. I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

Silly. He didn’t hurt her and he certainly never would. “No,” she whispered. She pulled his collar and stole a kiss from him. He mauled her back.

  The kiss.

Sam was amazed. Why did kissing her employer feel this way? He branded her to the soul when he kissed her. She felt the same way with David, too. Sam found the experience mind-shattering. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. She had been hired as nothing but their whore.

She blinked and caught her breath. Adam kissed the side of her jaw, murmuring endearments that were too sweet for words. She tightened her arms. He made her feel special and loved.

What the hell was going on?

  * * * *

She had imagined the gala would be something like the Hollywood movies—beautiful people with million-dollar looks sipping vintage champagne and kissing ass or complaining to each other about their perfect lives. The reality wasn’t far from it. Five minutes into the party and she felt like an outcast. She kept her mouth shut so people wouldn’t find out she didn’t belong in their class. Adam might have dressed her prettily but she was as clueless as a peasant in a royal palace.

Thankfully, she, Adam, and David had arrived fashionably late. Adam was making his social rounds with a bunch of old ladies in heavy makeup and heavier jewellery as they were seated at their table. David sat next to her.

He leaned closer and asked, “How do you like the party so far?”
>
She gave a diplomatic answer. “I’m enjoying it.”

The corner of David’s lips curved upward. “Don’t worry, I hate it too. I wish I could avoid it, but attending events such as this one becomes a necessity to maintain social networks.”

Her thoughts drifted to her co-workers in the factory and their backyard parties. Compared to these people, the world she came from seemed so simple and unpretentious.

David nodded in Adam’s direction. Adam was in a deep conversation with a blonde woman wrapped in a blue satin gown that seemed offensively garish when worn by a woman her age. Her arms were droopy. Her skin was white and pasty, rivalling the neighbourhood Goth kids Sam knew back home.

“That’s Lily Huntington. She’s a famous Aspen busybody, or rather infamous busybody, depending on how you see it. Lily has been trying to match Adam with one of her friend’s daughters and she’s been quite a bug on Adam’s ass for the past few years.”

Sam snorted. Why was he telling her this?

A waiter came by and filled their glasses with water.

“Thank you.” David cast her a conspiratorial grin. “Adam usually prefers not to attend Lily’s parties. This time he wanted Lily to stop being a matchmaker.”

She still didn’t get why David was telling her this.

David studied her face. “Dear Christ. You’re really that innocent, aren’t you?”

“Oh.” It suddenly hit her. She blushed. “That’s so silly. What will Mr Houser use as an excuse when my contract is up?”

The look on David’s face changed, turning serious. “What do you think of a permanent position? We’d be prepared to offer you a lot of perks.”

She rounded her eyes. He must be joking.

Someone came to their table and their conversation cut off. It was another tall hunk with dark hair and gold-coloured eyes. He didn’t wear a tuxedo and black tie like Adam and David. The man was swathed in a black sports jacket and jeans. His white shirt wasn’t tucked in and a couple of upper buttons were open as if he wanted to give a big middle finger to the dress code of the gala.
