Ladder 54: Five Firefighter Romances Page 45

by Maren Smith

Lauren gasped at the change of tack, her head twisting back to find his face as her hip grazed against his hardness. “Blake?” The shock was clear in her voice, and the sound made his cock throb between them. “Sir?”

“Yes, sweetheart,” he answered her, loving how naturally that term had developed between them, and how much he meant it when he spoke to her. Lauren was sweet—hell, she was adorable—and the more time they spent together, the more he wanted to spend with her. His palm was already in the air before she could reply, and as it connected with the rounded orbs of her ass, she drew in a breath. Blake’s erection raged at his groin, pulsating against her greedily. He couldn’t wait to be back inside her again.

“Oh! Oww!” Lauren called out, as the realization about what was taking place washed over. No sooner had she suggested the spanking than he had her back over his lap and was delivering one. He gave her barely any time to process the fact when the next swat hit her exposed bottom. The strike was fast, his wrist loose as his palm connected with her flesh. He wanted the impact to reawaken her earlier punishment and ache beautifully. He had the feeling this was precisely what she needed. A man to take charge and deliver. He swore he could feel her clit throbbing against his leg, desperate for the release that he knew he could provide her.

Blake spanked her again, harder this time, and Lauren winced at the impact, wriggling over him like an untamed animal. He noted how her legs splayed naturally as the strikes continued, and her hips flexed, pushing her sodden pussy out. It was an unspoken invitation, and one he fully intended to act upon.

“Is this what you want, sweetheart?” he asked her just as he landed the next swat against her vulnerable cheeks. “Is this what you need?”

She groaned, the sound traveling directly to his excited manhood. “Oh, yes, Sir. Thank you!”

He smiled, loving the look and feel of her. She made every one of his senses come to life with her hot, whimpering, and squirming body. She was as damn near to perfect as he’d ever known.

The spanking continued by the fireside. The weight of Blake’s hand rained down over Lauren’s rosy backside, her lusty groans growing louder with each strike. Her hands flinched at each impact, her small fingers sometimes stretching into long, spiky shapes, and balling into fists at other times, but not once did she try to resist him. Lauren needed this spanking badly, and her body reveled in the way Blake mastered her.

Her climax seemed to creep up on her. One moment she was aroused, apparently exulting in each new swat that he delivered to her backside, and the next she seemed to be right there, at the brink. Something about the way he spanked her hit just the right spot, each strike adding new impetus to her burning need. He imagined how engorged and excited her clitoris was about now, and the thought made him gleeful. Lauren cried out as he drove her to the precipice, her back arching as the next spank pushed her straight over the edge.

The sensation of her coming apart over Blake’s lap was compelling. He watched the tension in her toned little body, devouring the look of her pleasure as she finally collapsed over him. He shifted his weight as she slid from his thighs. He had to get inside her again. And it had to be now.

Blake dashed to his wallet, which he’d left with his possessions by the lounge door. Finding a condom inside, he ripped the thing open as he eyed the writhing blonde on the rug just a few feet away.

“Roll onto your back,” he commanded as he approached her spent body.

She roused at his words, obeying without complaint, and eyeing him lustfully as he slid the sheath over his raging erection. Wordlessly, he dropped to his knees beside her, their eyes connecting once more.

“It’s time I had you again, Lauren,” he told her, as he climbed between her legs.

She smiled at him, her expression salacious. “Yes, Sir,” she sighed. “Yes… have me.”

  * * *

She knew she sounded drunk as she answered, but she couldn’t care less. Everything was happening around her as though she was in a dream, and she half expected to wake up at any moment, but she didn’t want to. Lauren never wanted to wake up from this. This burgeoning intimacy with Blake was everything…

He joined her again, his hard body pressing her down into the soft rug. Lauren groaned as his erection nudged against her slick entrance. She was absolutely drenched after her impromptu spanking, and Blake stilled, drawing in a deep breath, as though he was willing himself not to come on the spot.

“Do you want this, Lauren?” Blake’s voice was deep and rich, and the sound made her focus on him. She could feel him right there, about to slide into her pussy, yet he’d stopped. It was frustrating and downright tantalizing.

“Yes, Sir,” she enthused, reaching for his strong forearms pinned on either side of her body. “I want this so much.”

That was everything he needed, and without another word he thrust deep inside her, spearing Lauren with his now massive cock. She gasped, smiling as the fullness spread through her. This was what she needed. Blake made her replete. He completed her in some fundamental way she’d never experienced until today.

The heat from the fire warmed them as he slowly withdrew, before slamming back inside her. She bucked beneath him, clutching at his neck with both hands, as she lifted her legs and wrapped them around his middle. He could possess her even more deeply in this new position, and Lauren groaned at the utter debauchery of the act. She’d dreamed about the sex, had hoped for it for longer than she could recall, but this was different. This was intimate. The way he moved inside of her, the combined heat of their bodies, and the unwavering connection of their gazes. It was unsettling in the most wonderful way.

They moved together in an unhurried fashion, Blake’s thrusts deliberate and intense. He’d fucked her earlier, and she’d loved every second of it, but this was something else—something different. Now, he was claiming her with his body, making her his in the most profound manner.

“Put your hands behind your head, sweetheart,” Blake commanded, his tone low and sensual. He eyed her hungrily, as though he wanted to seize this moment, and capture it in his mind for all time.

Lauren agreed wholeheartedly. She never wanted to forget the way he smelled, the way his body moved, or the look in his eyes. She blinked up at him, her gaze questioning although her arms moved to obey his order. He caught her wrists in his left hand, drawing them up and over her head. He held her there as he moved in and out of her, pinioning her into the cabin floor effortlessly. The sensation of being restrained by Blake was too much. He was so big and so strong, the mere idea of it catapulted her forward into a hedonistic frenzy.

As his orgasm neared, he lowered himself to his right elbow, capturing her lips with his aggressive kisses. Lauren moaned against him, writhing as his mouth shifted to her throat again, but still neither his caresses nor his cock slowed. Each possessed her with relentless passion, which swelled as their climaxes approached.

Lauren splintered first. The constant pressure of his body against her clit, and the feeling of him inside her and over her, tumbled her over the edge faster than she’d realized was possible after her last orgasm. The sound of her cries seemed to apprehend him, and his lips left her neck as he raised his head to see the pleasure etched into her flesh. Lauren convulsed beneath his muscular body, her pussy spasming and clenching around the hard length buried deep within her.

“Oh, fuck, Lauren,” he murmured as the first waves of his own crescendo hit him. “You’re so beautiful, do you know that?”

He collapsed over her torso before she could respond, struggling to catch his breath as the pleasure rolled over him. Lauren gulped at the intensity of the experience, her hands shifting from the prison of his palm, and moving into his hair as he lay over her recovering.

There was silence as they found solace in the intimacy of the act, the only sounds coming from the roaring fire beside them. Lauren sighed, allowing her eyes to flutter shut. This was as close to heaven as it was possible to go, and she never wanted to leav

  Chapter Sixteen

“You’d better hurry up in the shower!” Blake called to her, laughing to himself as he crossed the space into the bedroom. With nothing but a small towel wrapped around his middle, he had left the little lady alone in the bathroom to finish up.

It had been a few hours since he’d taken her by the fire, and in that time, they’d talked, getting to know one another a little better. It was Lauren’s suggestion to shower, but he’d joined her gladly, relishing the chance to get his hands on her hot body as she soaped it under the torrent of water. Blake couldn’t believe what a lucky man he was. In his wildest dreams, he would never have believed that such a beautifully submissive woman would land at his feet like this. Lauren was an absolute dream, sweet-natured, smart and yet utterly yielding to his desires. Better still, she’d had a crush on him for the best part of ten years, and was clearly crazy about him.

A part of him wondered if he should find her desire for him overwhelming, but for the life of him he couldn’t muster the energy to care. The connection between them felt special. It was something Blake hadn’t felt for years, and he wanted to nurture it. It may just have been physical so far, but he sensed this could grow into something strong and meaningful.

He was still smiling to himself when a buzzing sound from the other side of the bed caught his attention. Frowning, he followed the noise to Lauren’s bag, locating her mobile phone tucked just inside the top portion. He paused for a moment, considering whether it would be a good idea to answer it or not. It was an unknown caller, which troubled him. Most likely it was this loan shark guy again, the one who’d called her twice already. His stomach knotted. This man was becoming a nuisance, and one who apparently elicited fear in Lauren. She’d put on a brave face, but he could tell she’d been scared earlier, and the idea produced fury in him. She may have borrowed money, but what gave him the right to intimidate her? Shaking his head, he flicked the green line on the screen, answering the call.

“Hi, Lauren’s phone?” He kept his tone casual, but his irritation was more than piqued by now.

“Where’s Lauren?” A brusque, British male voice greeted him, and immediately he tensed. Every instinct he had told him that something about this guy wasn’t right, but still, this was Lauren’s private business—he should be respectful.

“She’s not available right now,” he answered, lowering his tone to match that of the unknown caller. “Can I take a message?”

The man at the other end snorted. “A message?” he sneered, his voice deep and foreboding. “No need, mate. She knows exactly what this is about. Just tell her she only has five days once she’s back home.”

Blake had heard enough. This asshole was definitely off somehow. “Who is this?” he demanded.

“Five days…” the caller said, and with that the line went dead.

Blake held the phone out in front of him for a moment, considering what had just transpired. He replayed the conversation in his head. Tell her she only has five days… A knot of tension balled in his chest. He didn’t like that… he didn’t like that one iota.

He was sitting in the corner chair, her phone still in his hand, when Lauren skipped in happily about five minutes later. Eyeing the thing in his right hand, she stopped dead, securing the bath sheet around her upper body as she gazed at him.

“Lauren.” Blake’s voice was calm. He’d had a chance to digest the call by now, and he wanted to hear her side of things—to understand. “You had another phone call while you were in the shower. I assumed it would be the same guy as before, so I hope you don’t mind, but I answered it.”

She looked at him with frightened eyes, taking baby steps toward him as her wet strands of her hair clung to her shoulders. “Oh,” she mouthed, the words barely audible.

His eyebrow cocked at her response. “I’m sorry if I invaded your privacy, but I’m worried about you. That guy is harassing you, sweetheart. I saw how pale and nervous you were when he called you earlier, and I don’t like it.” He paused, watching her responses carefully. “Do you want to tell me about it?”

“Erm.” She shuffled forward, her face blanching. “I’m not mad, I’m just…” She hesitated, uncertainty flickering in her pretty eyes. “Was it the same person?”

“I have no idea,” he replied, hooking one of his long, powerful legs over the other as she moved ever closer. “Some British guy… is that your loan shark? To be honest, he wasn’t very loquacious.”

Lauren’s eyes widened a little at that, but still, her lips remained pursed.

“Tell me about it, Lauren?” Blake encouraged her.

“There’s no reason to be jealous, Sir,” she whispered. “It’s nothing like that.”

His body lurched forward at that, his elbows perched on the edge of his knees as he eyed her intently. “Sweetheart,” he said softly. “Come here.”

Lauren wrung her hands in front of her as she inched toward where Blake sat. She reached the edge of his shins and halted, waiting for his next command. Placing her phone on the small dresser next to the chair, he looked up into her eyes. “I’m going to ask you again, Lauren,” he replied. “Do you want to tell me about it?”

She bit her lip, hard, her eyes simultaneously filling with tears. The burden of keeping it all hidden inside of her was seemingly too much. “Yes, Sir.” Her voice was nothing but a breathless gasp. “I want to tell you, but… I’m scared.”

Blake rose to his feet, taking her small hands in his large palms. “Lauren,” he said, his tone gentle. “Haven’t you learned anything in the last few hours, sweetheart?”

She blinked up at him, one large tear making a break for it down her cheek.

“I’m here to help you,” he said soothingly. “To support you, guide you, and protect you. You do not have to be afraid with me here.”

She nodded, but by now the tears were flowing. Blake moved toward her and wrapped her toweled body in his strong arms.

“Hey, it’s okay,” he cooed over her. “Lauren, you’re safe here. Whatever it is, I won’t judge you. Please, talk to me.”

The desperation was evident in his voice, but he stood, holding her, waiting for the sobbing to quell. At length, she found the strength to speak, her head not leaving his chest as she made the admission.

“His name is Jack,” she conceded as her grip tightened on Blake’s forearm.

Noticing the tension spreading through her body, he guided them back toward the large bed and sat her down beside him. Trembling, she glanced up to him, as though she was searching for signs that he was about to lose his patience with her altogether.

“So, who is Jack?” Blake asked her. His voice was calm, but Lauren still looked uncertain.

“I know him from home,” she replied, her gaze falling into her lap.

Blake eyed her towel-dried hair, clinging around her small, toned shoulders. “How do you know him, Lauren?”

She looked up at him, her gaze unsure. “He lent me some money.” Her words were barely a murmur as the truth slipped from her delicate lips.

Blake shifted on the bed next to her. He was liking the sound of this Jack less and less by the second.

“Why did you need to borrow money?” he queried, reaching for her small hands and wrapping them in his own warm palm. He knew it was really none of his business. After all, she had only just met him. But he hoped beyond reason that the connection they’d made today would be enough for her to trust him with whatever this burden was to her.

Lauren pursed her lips. “You’re going to think I’m a fool,” she sighed, her shoulders dropping as she spoke.

“Lauren.” His tone was brusque, and it captured her attention at once. “What have I told you about putting yourself down?”

She shook her head, the tears already welling in her eyes. “I’m not, Sir,” she argued. “I’m just ashamed.”

Blake’s body stilled at that, but he squeezed her hands gently with his large fingers. “Tell me,” he soothed. “Why did you bo
rrow money from this Jack?” He spat at the final word as though he already understood what sort of man would be lending money to a young and naive woman like Lauren.

Large tears escaped from her beautiful green eyes, but oddly she smiled as she gazed at him. “For you, Sir,” she mumbled. “I borrowed it for you.”

  Chapter Seventeen

Blake watched the crying woman beside him. Instinctively, he pulled her towel-clad body into his arms, wanting to calm and reassure her, but inside he was reeling. “What do you mean, you borrowed it for me, sweetheart?”

She chuckled, but something about the sound made him sad. “When I heard about the auction I knew I had to fly over and try to win the night with you. It’s all I’ve ever wanted, Sir.” She hesitated, blinking up at him for a moment as the reality washed over her. “But when Emma told me what a fancy, black-tie affair it would be, I knew I’d never be able to afford you, unless I…” Her voice trailed away, but she had already said enough.

Blake understood the reasons why she’d felt compelled to borrow the cash, but it didn’t make him any happier about the situation. “So, you borrowed money from Jack to bid on me?” Saying the words out loud made them no less preposterous. He was a lot older than Lauren, and his years of experience had taught him to trust his gut. And his gut told him that Jack was trouble. He looked down at her, watching her responses carefully.

“Yes, Sir,” she whispered, her head nodding to confirm his suspicions.

“Oh, Lauren,” he replied, leaning in to kiss her forehead.

She tensed at the sound of his tone. “Are you angry with me?” Her voice was so small, it made him want to wrap her up in a blanket and never let her out of his sight.

“Of course I’m not angry.” He smiled down at her. “If you hadn’t gotten the funds to bid and win me, then we’d have never met. We’d never have spent the last few hours getting to know one another, and having such a blast.” He winked at her as he described their amazing afternoon, and coyly she blushed at his words. “What I am though is concerned that you had to get into debt to achieve that. How much did you borrow from this man?”
