Billionaire Bad Boys: A Collection of Contemporary and Paranormal Bad Boys Page 45

  His turn.

He drove deeply into her core and fucked her with aggression. Her big, perfect tits bounced uncontrollably as he rocked into her. Lucian couldn’t look away if he wanted to. Everything about Ruby was sexy. Her eyes, her lips, her skin, and her deep, brown perky nipples were his own private heaven. He’d never been so turned on.

“Oh… Ruby… baby,” he panted. “Why did I wait so long?”

He could feel a pulling in his abdomen and a tightening in his balls. His thighs began to quiver from the strain of holding back, and he was prepared to welcome his own happy ending. He tightened his grip on Ruby’s hip. With each frantic stroke, his heavy balls slapped against her ass.

  “So tight,” he grunted.

It felt as if there were a set of tiny hands inside of her pussy, stroking the fuck out of his cock. When she cried out in ecstasy, the sound of her pleasure went straight to his groin, eliciting an immediate eruption.

“Ughhhhhh!” His growl was feral as he pumped an enormous amount of cum into the condom.

Careful not to crush her, he collapsed on his forearms. He had to work hard to catch his breath when he heard Ruby whisper, “Damn.”

  8

  “Ruby?”

“Huh.” She blinked and glanced up at her paralegal, Angela. “Oh sorry.”

  “Your phone’s ringing.”

“Crap.” She glanced at her cell phone on her desk and smiled as she saw who the caller was. She hit the message option saying she couldn’t take the call right now and would call back. But she couldn’t stop the grin on her face.

  “Everything okay?” Angela asked.

“Yes, fine.” More than fine. Her pussy clenched, still feeling the aftereffects of Lucian to her insides. She squeezed her thighs together. “Ah, go ahead and go over that brief and check the citations. I will be leaving shortly, and I’ll see you on Monday.”

“Okay, get some rest. I think you’ve been working too hard.”

“I’ll try.” Angela spoke the truth. She had been working hard but her inattentiveness had little to do with that. It was also way out of character for her to be so distracted, but it couldn’t be helped. Lucian had blown her mind last night. And, again this morning.

She’d barely been able to crawl out of bed and then he’d joined her in the shower. That was the memory that had her staring off into space all day, unable to hold any thought other than him and last twelve hours they’d shared together. She shook her head. What did it all mean? Yes, he’d told her he’d missed her, and said he was sorry. Used all the right things to make her heart feel good. Like maybe the boy she’d idolized and crushed on still resided inside the man she found herself intently attracted too. Who was she kidding? She’d had a crush on him as a kid and those feelings hadn’t changed. They’d just matured. And wonder of wonders, he seemed to be feeling the same way.

The thought of seeing him again soon had her smiling. They’d agreed to meet at the yoga studio together to sign up for classes in person instead of calling. She hoped this would work and they’d meet the Beckers. Ruby felt positively if anyone could help them, the owners could. If she and Lucian could get the owners to open up and talk to them, take Lucian on as a student, they’d have some kind of real lead. He’d confided in her he really didn’t know much about his powers; only that he was a Maji. He been too young and stupid to listen to his mother at the time when she wanted to teach him.

He was the key to the getting the couple at the yoga studio to help figure it all out, she felt sure of it. If they were really lucky, they’d point them in the direction of the abductors.

She picked up her cell and returned Lucian’s call.

“Hey, baby, I miss your sweet heat around my cock already.”

She giggled. She never giggled. God, could she even remember the last time she’d felt this way about a man. Never.

“I just saw you a few hours ago.”

“I know. I’ll meet you in front of your building in about an hour then we can head over to the yoga studio.”

  “That works.”

“And Ruby, just so we’re clear, afterwards you’re coming back to my place for the weekend.”

“I didn’t agree to that. I’m really busy right now, Lucian. Between Todd’s case and another trial for next week I’ve got to work this weekend.”

“Then bring what you need with you to my place. I’ve got Wi-Fi you can work from there. I’ll even set up space for you in my office. I’ve got work to do myself. My company doesn’t run itself. But I want to spend more time with you, Ruby. I think 15 years apart is enough.”

  “And whose fault is that?”

“Mine. And you’re never going to let me forget it. I want to put all this shit behind us and focus on us getting to know each other again. So far, I love what I fucking see. And I’m proud of the woman you’ve become. Not that I had anything to do with it, but I’m still proud of you.”

“I do forgive you. You weren’t that much older than I was. Your mother had just died. I know how that can effect an adult, much less a child.”

“I am sorry about your father. Sorry I believed all the lies. You are special. Always have been, especially to me. I’m glad you came back into my life, Ruby. More than you’ll even know. I won’t screw it up this time. I’ll see you soon.”

Ruby hung up the phone but stopped smiling as she finished working on her arguments to get Todd out of jail. Hopefully this trip to the yoga studio would be helpful and she, with Lucian’s help, would be able to find the real culprit or culprits behind the kidnappings. The investigator she’d hired said the owners seemed clean. The people he’d spoken to who knew them claimed they were just as shaken up about Emma’s disappearance as everyone else. She hoped they could be trusted.

She grabbed her bag and doubled checked her Smith & Wesson 9MM G19. A nice compact pistol, which she was licensed to carry was nestled nicely inside. She knew she’d feel better having that with her, even with Lucian’s crazy powers. However, that was not the only reason she reached for her bag. Something else nestled in there. She reached in and took out the oblong object.

One of Lucian’s cigars. She’d taken it from him this morning. He’d smiled when she’d picked it up after it had fallen out of the jacket he’d tossed on the floor the night before. She took it out now, placed it under her nose and inhaled. Funny, she’d never enjoyed the scent of tobacco before, but it reminded her of him. It always would now, her cigar king.

She returned it to her purse and pulled up the files she needed to make sure she’d saved them to the document folder on her laptop. She’d need them if she was going to stay with Lucian for the weekend. And she would. Were they moving too fast? Perhaps. But after what had happened in her life, the way she lost her father before his time, the way Lucian had lost his mother, life just seemed too short to be ruled by fear. She wanted to explore this connection between them and knew herself to be woman enough not to run from her attraction to him or his to her.

She’d finished packing up her laptop and grabbed her coat when her phone pinged. Glancing over at it, she saw she had a text. “What the hell?”

This was not a number she’d ever think to see show up in her message box again. She’d tossed Wilson Fenmore the fucking III out on his ass a year ago. Wilson was her ex, and an attorney who handled commercial law for big resort developers and made a shit load of money doing it. Too bad he also carried the monikers: cheater, liar and son of a bitch. He’d been screwing his paralegal. She caught them in his conference room one night when she stopped by to surprise him when he had supposedly been working late. He was working alright. Working his tongue on the woman’s clit.

Ruby grabbed her things and stormed out of her office, not even bothering to read his text. She’d do that on Monday. She’d like to block him, but her firm sometimes did business with his. Thankfully, they’d never had to work with each other or see the other. So, hell if she knew what he wanted. If something to do with business, she’d pass i
t on. Anything else, he knew what he could do with himself. As she stepped off the elevator into the lobby, she saw a familiar face. Crap, maybe she should have checked that text after all.

“What do you want?” she asked Wilson as soon as she got off the elevator, stopping right in front of him since he blocked her way.

“Well, hello to you too, Ruby.” He leaned forward as if to embrace her, but she took a step back. “You’re looking fine, but then you always do.”

“Cut the shit. What do you want?”

“I see you didn’t read my text.”

  Ruby pulled out her phone.

It’s been a year. So much has happened. I made a mistake and I’ve paid for it all this time. I miss you. I’m downstairs. I want to take you to lunch. Let’s talk.

She frowned at him. “Hell-to the-no!”

“Now Ruby, don’t be like that.” He raised his hand and took her arm. “I came to take you out to a late lunch. We really do need to talk. I really have missed you.”

“I am not forgiving you. You mean shit to me. And I’d rather have lunch with a crocodile. Wait... I won’t even have lunch with a crocodile, so why would I have lunch with you?”

  9

Lucian walked through the entrance and spied Ruby standing in front of the bank of elevators. Her profile was to him, but he noticed she had her arms crossed and was glaring at the man who stood in front of her. When he tried to put his hands on her and she stepped out of his reach, it took everything Lucian had not to flick his finger and separate the man’s hand from the rest of his arm. He crossed the lobby in several strides, his heels clicking against the marble floor.

“Hey, baby.” He wrapped his arm around Ruby’s waist and drew her close, at the same time he buried his face against the side of her neck and kissed her. “You ready?”

A few people got off an elevator in front of them. Lucian ignored them and turned to the man who had his mouth open like a fish.

Ruby relaxed against him. “Hey, baby. Yes.”

“Who the fuck is this?” the man growled.

Lucian turned his gaze fully on the shorter man. “Her lover. And who the fuck are you?”

  “No one,” Ruby said.

“No one? What the fuck? We used to live together.”

Lucian shifted so he stood a bit more in front of Ruby. “Not any more, you don’t. And here’s something else. You put your fucking hand on her again, you’re gonna lose it.”

The man had medium brown skin, but it had turned a darker shade. “Are you threatening me? Do you know who I am?”

  “Nobody.”

Then Lucian turned with Ruby and they walked away from him and out the door. His driver, Martin, waited beside his car, a Maserati Quattroporte parked right in front of the building. He stood at the curb and opened the door for them. Lucian enjoyed driving, just not so much in the city. Parking was always a bitch.

He let Ruby get in first, then he stepped in behind her. When Martin shut the door and walked around to the front, Lucian glanced up. He grinned when he saw the bastard pushing the door open. With a wave of his hand, Lucian had the door push back into the man’s face. He turned around and chuckled.

“What did you do?” Ruby asked suspiciously, twisting in her seat to look behind them.

“What makes you think that I did anything?”

She frowned. “You raised your hand. I remember when we were children. Whenever you did that things happened.”

  “I only shut a door.”

  “Okay.”

“What’s up with that guy? Does he work with you?”

If he did, he was going to have to go.

  She shook her head. “No.”

“Good. Then I don’t have to worry about kicking his ass if he oversteps on the job.”

“Slow down, cowboy. I can take care of myself.”

He took her hand. “Not saying you can’t.” He kissed her knuckles. “But that you shouldn’t have to. Was he trying to get back into your pants?” He curved his middle finger and rubbed it against her palm, enjoying her sharp intake of breath. “I can’t blame him, but it’s never going to happen again. So, tough shit for him.”

“Aren’t you rushing a bit? We only slept together once.”

He raised one eyebrow at her.

“Okay, more than once, but we only had one night and one morning together.”

  “So, and your point?”

She sighed. “Maybe we need a minute to get to know each other more.”

The sound of a car horn had him glancing out the window then back to her. “We’ve always known each other. I’d forgotten that.” He raised his hand and drew the back of it down the side of her face. “I know you. I see you. You know me as no one else ever can.” Then he leaned forward, but she was already tilting her head toward him. Their lips met in the middle and everything within himself settled with his absolute need for her. He pulled back a bit. “You’re with me now, Angel. And no other.”

“That damn well better go both ways. I don’t share.”

He smiled. “Yeah, I remember. You were never good at sharing, but neither do I. So that works.” He kissed her again, wishing there was a partition between them and his driver. No such luck, and unfortunately, they were just about to pull up to their destination.

  10

It took them about twenty minutes to get over to the ballet studio. Ruby’s lips continued sizzling from Lucian’s treatment of them in the car and she wanted more. More of him. She should be angry at him for turning his back on her all those years ago, but they’d been kids. She couldn’t deny the connection between them then, nor could she deny it now.

She glanced at Lucian and saw the gleam in his eyes, then he winked. Yeah, they were of like minds.

“Later,” she mouthed to him. They walked into the reception area on the first floor. At that hour of the day, they only encountered the receptionist behind the counter.

“May I help you?” she asked.

“Hi, I’m Ruby Crane, and this is Lucian Reid. I called earlier and set up an appointment to meet with the Beckers. We’re interested in the class before the five pm yoga class.”

The older woman frowned. “There is no class before the five.”

“Don’t they do one on one tutoring or training?” Ruby asked.

“You’ll have to talk to them about that. Have a seat and I’ll let them know you’re here.”

They didn’t have long to wait before an older man and woman came around the corner from the reception area. The woman was petite, about five two or three. The man was taller, about five ten or eleven. Both were in very good shape, no spare fat, all toned muscles. The silver white of their shoulder length hair hinted at their ages. In fact, his hair might have been a bit longer. The man smiled, and his eyes crinkled. The lines on his face and hers told the story that they’d been around for a while.

“Thank you for meeting with us,” Lucian said holding out his hand to Mr. Becker first. “I’m Lucian Reid, and this is Ruby Crane.”

At the mention of his name, Ruby noticed the smile on the couple’s faces slipped just a little. She purposely hadn’t told them the name of the friend she was bringing with her when she’d spoken to Mrs. Becker on the phone. Although the woman quickly recovered, Ruby noticed her reaction. If she hadn’t been watching her so closely, she might have missed it.

  She didn’t.

After the introductions were done, the owners led them up to the third floor, then to the yoga studio tucked at the end of the hallway. They gave the Beckers five minutes to make their pitch for the type of yoga classes they provided when Lucian spoke up, stopping Mr. Becker mid-speak.

“My mother used to take classes here. Were either one of you her instructor?”

The couple stared at each other, then back at Lucian, and then finally at Ruby.

“What…what was your mother’s name?” Mr. Becker asked.

  “Celeste Reid.”

There was a slight gasp from Mrs. Becker. “
Yes…yes I knew your mother. I…I was her te—her instructor.”

“Did she take private instruction from you? Did she come her early on Tuesdays and Thursdays before her classes for one on one…tutoring?” Lucian pressed.

Again, the couple exchanged glances. “Yes,” Mrs. Becker answered.

“Did you also tutor Emma Taylor, forty minutes or so earlier too?” Ruby added.

“Yes. She was very gifted,” Mrs. Becker replied.

“Why? What’s this about?” Mr. Becker challenged.

“Well, both of them were kidnapped. Both of them were also killed,” Ruby replied.

“Who are you all really?” Mr. Becker asked.

“People looking for answers and we thought you might be able to help.” Ruby glanced at Lucian. “You see, Lucian here needs the same kind of extra attention that his mother and Emma did.”

Again, the couple exchanged glances. “We’re not sure what you mean?” Mr. Becker responded, but his wife placed her hand on his arm.

“Exactly what kind of help does Mr. Reid require?” Mrs. Becker asked.

“I have the same issues that my mother had. In fact, I inherited them from her.”

The eyes of the couple went wide. “Maji,” Mrs. Becker whispered like a prayer.

Lucian opened then reclosed and locked the studio door with just a flick of his wrist. The couple smiled, moved forward, and then embraced him.

“We’re so sorry about your mother, and Emma too. What do you need from us? We’ll do what we can to help,” Mrs. Becker stated.

“How much do you know?” Mr. Becker asked before stepping back.

Lucian glanced at Ruby again before answering. “Not much. I know I can move objects with my mind. Although, I’m only able to direct it by moving my hands or fingers.”

Mr. Becker laughed and without taking his eyes off Lucian, or moving any part of his body, unlocked, opened, then closed and relocked the door. “That’s only a matter of strength and proper training.”
