The Pelican is a real bar in Wapping, but it was renamed the Devil’s Tavern and then The Prospect of Whitby. You can still go in for a pint today and walk on the same flagstone floor that has been trod upon for 500 years! It has had many famous patrons and claims several ghosts.
Thank you for reading Kiss Me Lady, One More Time! Look for Chester’s story, coming this Christmas!
