Dragon's Heart, Volume 1 Page 8

Close to mate. Walking is too slow, let me fly.

We might be seen, my friend.

  Mate needs us!

Thinking it over, and taking in all the scents around them, Troy made a decision.

“Fuck this. I’m shifting,” he called out to his friend.

He shifted mid-stride, his dragon taking over as soon as his wings had unfurled. He didn’t give a shit if anyone saw him. Amy was frightened and in pain, he would like to see anyone try to stop him. From the corner of his eye, he saw a garnet dragon flying after him.

He saw them below; a crappy black van in the middle of a field, his Amy crouched at the side of it, crying out, with Sarah between her legs. There were two other people watching them, one male and one female. The male was holding a gun on them.

  He roared!

Roasting time! His dragon perked up.

Troy inwardly laughed. His dragon would enjoy this.

The couple looked around at the sound. The woman stood stock-still, her eyes boggling. The male stumbled backward, falling on his arse, the gun falling a few inches away from him.

Amy lifted her head, and Sarah twisted her head to look behind her. Sarah’s mouth opened and gaped when she saw the two dragons. The side of her face was bloody, the skin a deep purple.

Troy roared again. Dennenth followed suit. Swooping in low, Troy grabbed the male in his talons, clamping them down to inflict as much pain as possible. The woman was snatched up by his friend. He could hear her screaming at the top of her lungs. He and his dragon smiled when that was cut off, probably caused by a tight squeeze. They flew a little further away from the van so the girls wouldn’t see what came next.

“Sarah... The baby!” Amy screamed again, pushing with all her might.

Her friend physically shook herself, closed her mouth, and looked back between her legs. “I can see the head,” her shaky voice floated up.

“You can see a lot more of me. You’re never going to look at me the same!” Amy cried, embarrassment crawling through her.

“Just push, Amy.” Sarah chuckled. “I will never say a thing...unless I need to blackmail you.” She looked up at her and smirked.

  “Ha-ha.”

“One final push, Amy, the baby’s head is out.”

Hot hands wrapped around her waist, holding her steady as she bore down. Troy’s scent flowed over her.

“You’re in trouble, baby,” he whispered, kissing her sweaty brow.

“I’m in a muddy field, one of my friends has her hands between my legs, and I’m having a baby, who could ask for more?” she groaned through clenched teeth.

She felt the plop as the baby left her body, sliding into Sarah’s waiting hands.

“A boy,” Sarah said, lifting him up, a massive grin on her face. “There’s no way this baby is premature, something else to tell me?” she asked, placing the child in Amy’s arms.

The world fell away when she looked down at the baby, his button nose, his scrunched up face, his emerald green eyes, just like his father. She ran a hand over his wet head. She was nothing like her parents. She’d fallen in love with him instantly, just like she had with Adam. Yes, she did believe in love at first sight.

“Sajan, it means loved one. Sajan Adam Xandor Baliarth,” she said softly, looking up at Troy.

His eyes glimmered with unshed tears. “My dad will be quite proud, my goddess, you honor him.”

“The ambulance and police are here,” Dennenth said, disturbing them.

“Oh God, Sarah saw your dragons.”

“It’s okay. We, uh, have had a chat,” Dennenth said, a salacious grin on his face. He walked off toward Sarah and placed a protective arm around her waist. A clear message to her and the approaching uniforms that she was his!

  Chapter 16

After spending a few days in the hospital, Amy and Sajan were allowed to go home. Melanie, Wendy, and Sarah had all spent a night in the hospital too. Sarah was currently staying at Dennenth’s place at his insistence. Pete, giving Wendy no chance to protest, had carted her off to his house, caveman style. And Melanie was off on a retreat with a couple of Troy’s friends. Good thing it was the school holidays.

The police had come and gone, interviewing and questioning everyone. Amy’s parents had gone on a wanted list after fleeing the scene. The only question the police were unable to answer was where the two piles of ash had come from.

As Amy watched Sajan sleeping in his crib she fiddled with the chain Troy had taken back from her father before he became a pile of ash. The ring was back on her finger too.

The baby was six weeks old now, none the wiser yet on where or how he had been born. She would tell him one day, with Troy at her side, letting him know that their love was boundless.

  “You’re projecting again, baby.”

She smiled, turning around and into his hard body. She hadn’t heard him come into Sajan’s room.

“They didn’t even ask about Adam. If they had killed me—”

  “Don’t think like that.”

She felt as well as heard the growl as it rumbled in his chest. Looking up into his eyes, she also saw his dragon flick through them. She received the message loud and clear—neither of them were happy about the fact she could have died.

“No matter where you are we will find you.” Troy pointed briefly to his head, indicating him and his dragon.

  “I love you,” she whispered.

“I love you too, my goddess. Come, let me take you to bed. You need to get some sleep before tomorrow.”

“Well, officially...” She took a step out of his arms and began walking backward out of the baby’s room. “We aren’t supposed to sleep together tonight, you know, spend it all alone,” she taunted, biting into her bottom lip. She knew she was playing with fire, but she couldn’t help herself.

  * * * *

Faster than she could say dragon, Troy was on her, sweeping her up into his arms and carrying her to their bedroom.

“Baby, there won’t ever be a night that we spend alone again.” Kicking the door shut with his foot, he pinned her against the wall, kissing her for dear life. The pain he felt when he couldn’t find her the first time was bad enough, but to nearly lose her twice... He never wanted to feel that again.

He reached down between them. Her legs were firmly wrapped around his waist. He tugged on her panties, ripping them off. Bringing them up to his face, he took a deep breath.

“Oh, baby,” he moaned, tossing them aside and running his fingers along her folds. He shoved two fingers deep inside her, making her moan. She was wet for him. Her honey dripped down his fingers. Her cunt walls tensed and then trembled around his digits.

His clothes disappeared with the help of his dragon magic.

  “Hey, no fair.” She chuckled.

With a smile, he shifted to make sure she didn’t slide down the wall. “Raise your arms, my goddess.”

Reluctantly, he withdrew his fingers and tugged at her dress that had wrapped around her waist. He lifted it up and over her arms, letting it slip from his fingers to the floor. His mouth watered at the sight of her beautiful, creamy skin. Lowering his head, he kissed down her neck. Taking in her scent, letting it wrap itself around him. He pulled her bra down with his teeth, and his cock twitched, becoming more engorged as her nipples were revealed.

“Oh, you’re fucking gorgeous, baby.” He wrapped his lips around the tip of her breast, sucking deep. Placing his rock hard cock at her entrance, he thrust all the way inside her. They both let out pleasurable moans.

“Oh God, that feels so good,” she groaned into his neck.

“It only gets better,” he panted.

Pulling out, he slammed back in quickly. He carried on doing it, hammering into her again and again. Their skin began to get slick. Her nipples were like hard little pebbles rubbing against his chest.

He couldn’t hold off, his balls drew up as her pussy quivered then clenched tightly around his swelling dick.
She called out his name. He came with a roar, his body going numb for a few seconds with its intensity. They stood there for a while, their hearts beginning to slow, their breathing steadying out.

“I couldn’t spend another night away from you. You’re too precious to lose,” he whispered, carrying her to bed. “Now it’s time to ravish you again.”

  * * * *

The next day a crowd of family and friends sat in white wicker chairs with pale green ribbons on them in a semi-circle, facing a temporary altar. Saphira had Sajan on her knee, gently rocking him. Xandor proudly sat watching over them.

“Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?” the priest asked.

  “I do.”

“And do you, Troy, take Amy to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

  “I do.”

“Then from this day forward you are man and wife—”

Before the man finished Troy had hold of Amy, bending her backward and was kissing her like there was no tomorrow. Catcalls, hollers, and stomping were heard all around amongst the laughter.

  “Get a room!” Bobbie shouted.

Standing her back on her feet, Troy led his blushing bride down the aisle and upstairs to the VIP bubble rooms where a huge spread of food was laid out.

“Are you happy, my goddess?” he asked.

“Never more so. Thank you for entering my life, for showing me what could be, what is.”

  “It’s just the beginning, baby.”

  Forever.

  Chapter 1

There were good days and bad days in anyone’s life, but this one topped the charts for Sarah. She stood in the middle of a muddy field, using a rather hot, sexy, six-packed man’s t-shirt to clean her hands of blood and all kinds of goop after helping a friend deliver her baby. Sarah’s hair was scraped up into a scruffy bun on her head and she was covered in mud from top to toe, but there she was standing next to a half-naked god. Wow!

She and Amy had been kidnapped by her friend’s estranged parents. The crazy duo had driven them to this field, intending to do God knew what, but Amy had gone into labor, which only annoyed her parents even more and left Sarah with the task of helping her friend give birth. Sarah rubbed her aching cheek. After Amy’s father had become enraged with Sarah he had hit her across the face with his gun, and it hurt like hell.

And to top off the craziness, two huge arsed dragons had came to their rescue. Dragons!

Amy was currently being held by her husband Troy as they cooed over their newborn son, so Sarah had walked away to give them some privacy. The garnet red dragon who’d watched over the proceedings after taking care of Amy’s crazy parents had shimmered, shifting into the man she knew as Dennenth, who was a bouncer at Troy’s nightclub. He ripped his shirt from his body and handed it to her, nodding toward her bloody hands. Sarah wiped her hands as she gaped at Dennenth.

“You’re not freaking out like I thought you would be.”

Dennenth’s deep, Scottish baritone voice flowed over her. Through her.

His face was chiseled, strong and firm. He was normally clean-shaven, but at the moment he had a five o’clock shadow. It suited him. His black hair came down to his shoulders, and it was currently tied back neatly in a leather tie. He had very light gray eyes, so light they looked almost white. The speckles of amber or red near the iris stood out because of it.

Damn, he was sexy all over. Her nipples stood to attention, her clit throbbed, and her panties grew wet. It had been a long time since a man had made her feel like this.

“What, you mean being kidnapped? Helping my friend give birth in a field? Or seeing dragons turn into men? You expected those things to freak me out?” She could hear the beginning of sirens in the distance.

“We will have company soon.” He leaned lower, his breath brushing against her face as he turned it with a firm hand on her chin. She could feel his eyes looking at the cut on her cheek, knowing he was looking at a growing bruise. “How does it feel, darlin’? I’m sorry they hurt you.”

“Why are you sorry?” she asked, trying not to lean into his hand for comfort. Her face throbbed, and the drying blood was making it itchy.

“No one should hurt a treasure like you.” He placed a whisper of a kiss at the top of the slice on her cheek. She ducked her head, but he lifted her chin again and looked deeply into her eyes. “I know what you saw earlier was strange, but I’ll explain when I get you home, okay? Will you trust me?”

“Dennenth, I’m not entirely sure what I saw, and if I did tell anyone, I’m quite confident I’d end up in a loony bin. I have a five-year-old son who needs me, so you don’t have to worry.”

She took a step back. He followed, placing an arm around her waist, pulling her tightly against him. She hadn’t realized just how cold she was until the heat from his body seeped into hers. Even after the exhausting day, which left her bone tired, she still had naughty thoughts. Her licking his skin, tasting his flavor. Dennenth sliding over her, thrusting his cock... Oh God! Where was her mind going?

“I’m not going to hurt you. I swear nobody will hurt you again.”

She looked up into his gray eyes, seeing the vow of his words in them. “You can’t promise that. No one can.”

With a challenging smile on his face he walked toward the cooing couple. She couldn’t help but watch his jean-covered arse as he did. A hot flush crept over her face. Shaking her head, she went back to wiping her hands with his t-shirt. After this she was going to go home and unwind by soaking in a hot bath, then laze about with her son, watching cartoons or a movie.

  What had she seen?

Two dragons with smoke blowing from their nostrils, one a shocking green and the other a deep red. She’d watched as they had scooped up the kidnappers and carried them away. When the dragons returned—without the kidnappers—they had shifted into fully clothed men, the green one becoming Amy’s husband Troy, and the red one becoming Dennenth.

Even through her shock at seeing this outstanding mythical creature before her change into this tall, unbelievable sexy god, she had managed to keep her wits.

The sound of pounding feet got closer, bringing her out of her dazed thoughts. The police and ambulance had arrived. She almost wilted on the spot. Her head was pounding, her cheek ached, and she just wanted this awful day over. She wanted to go home to Freddie and pretend to forget it. Dennenth came up behind her, placing a firm, muscled arm around her waist. She was sure it was a statement, but of what?

  * * * *

“You cannot be frigging serious!” Sarah screamed at the tall, sexy man in front of her. He was barring her way out of the door. She knew if she swore her words would sound firmer, but she couldn’t bring herself to fully do it. Working with children and having one of her own she didn’t curse often.

“Darlin’, I’m nothing but serious. If you don’t open those fingers and give me those car keys, I’ll—”

“You’ll what? Go all cavemen on me?” she interrupted, her anger gro
wing.

She had spent the night in the hospital with her friends Wendy and Melanie. The latter had been conked on the head and left unconscious in the car park when she and Amy had been kidnapped. Pete, another one of Troy’s friends, had done the same as Dennenth and stayed by their hospital beds all night. It had been quite comical when a nurse had said visiting time was over. She swore they both growled at the poor woman. The nurse had scampered away, leaving the men to sit beside their beds without an argument. Sarah had turned her back and refused to entertain the man whereas she kept hearing Pete and Wendy whispering together in the background.

When they were released from the hospital, Wendy had managed a quick goodbye before Pete scooped her up over his shoulder and whisked her away. Sarah couldn’t believe that fiery friend of hers had let him do that. She’d even had a huge Cheshire cat grin on her face! Melanie and Bobbie were staying with Troy and Amy for a few days before returning home to work. So that just left her. And there she was now arguing with a man she had the feeling had a stubborn streak a mile wide.

“You can’t keep me here. I have a babysitter waiting for me to get my son. Now get out of my way, please.”

“Darlin’,” he purred, stepping toward her.

“Don’t you darlin’ me. I have to get to my son.”

“I am driving you home, and as you are on a fortnights sick, I will be bringing you back too!”

“And what makes you think I will come back and stay with you? I don’t know you.”

“Then stay and get to know me. You already know my biggest secret.”

“Is that why you want me to come back and stay here, in case I tell someone you’re a frigging dragon? Who the hell would believe me?”

“I know you won’t say anything.”

She looked up into his eyes and could see the sincerity in them. “Then why?” she asked, her voice dropping to a low whisper.

“Because you’re my mate and I asked?” His eyebrows shot up and the corner of his lips lifted a little.
