Alice felt a strange satisfaction hearing that, knowing that it had been Jason himself who gave that order. She placed her hand on his shoulder, just because she wanted – no – had to touch him. He placed his hand around her hip. It sent goosebumps all across her body, giving her an idea that excited her, aroused her even.

“King?” she asked, her voice husky.

“Yes, Bella?” he answered in the same way.

“Would you please fuck me?” She continued.

“You know very well how to address me properly,” he told her, making her shiver.

Alice turned towards him, completely ignoring her ex, whose ankles and wrists were cuffed to the chair.

“Would you please fuck me, Master?”

“Fuck me with your sweet little mouth first,” he told her and Alice was already down on her knees before he had finished the sentence.

She was burning with need and couldn’t wait to have him inside of her again, but she knew the rules. And so, she quickly unbuckled his belt, opened the fly, and freed his hard cock from his boxers and pants, licking him from his base to his tip with her tongue.

From the corners of her eyes she could see her ex squirm in his chair, but there was no way he was able to free himself. He was helpless, just as she had felt when she saw all these pictures on her apartment floor.

Alice tried her best to take Jason’s cock all the way in and enjoyed as he leaned back his head while he brought one hand to her hair, digging his fingers into it. She didn’t have to bob her head more than a few times before he pulled her up to her feet and turned her around. Quickly producing a condom from the drawer of the sideboard, he pressed her against, Jason covered his cock, before he plunged himself into her with one hard trust, making her cry. She would have bruises at her hip from that sideboard.

“Fuck,” she exclaimed and earned a slap on her ass as a result and corrected herself, instantly. “Fuck, Master!”

“That’s my girl,” Jason hummed, pulled out slowly and then rammed himself back inside her.

“Yes, Master!” Alice shouted, and grew more and more aroused, knowing that Gary was watching her getting fucked hard in the dress he had bought her.

“You like that?” Jason asked her.

“Yes!” Alice answered eagerly, receiving another slap. “Yes, Master.”

He answered by continuing to fuck her hard, making her almost come in a few seconds, but pulling out when she said she was about to come. Jason flung her around, grabbed her dress by her cleavage and tore it open, freeing her breasts from her bra, violating the sensitive skin with nips and bites, doing the very same to her nipples. Alice had no idea what to do with herself, as Jason gave her the sensation of him starving for her.

Before she was able to reach out and touch him, he already had his mouth on her clit, allowing his tongue to torture her bud of nerves, sending her over the edge.

While she was still riding out that orgasm, he lifted her onto the sideboard and buried himself into her one more time, prolonging the wave that turned her mindless. Alice was panting for air desperately, as she could feel him come inside her and a tiny, selfish part of her just wished that the condom would break. She hit the back of her head against the wall behind her in frustration. Never, ever, would she be that kind of woman.

Coming down from her high, Alice remembered that there was still an audience and she looked at her ex, his expression sour.

“Alice,” she heard Jason whisper, much to her surprise and she looked at him.

All of the sudden he pressed his mouth on hers and their lips merged into one, touching her at a place where nothing could reach. He pulled out of her first, before he broke his kiss, instantly turning around to bring his clothes back in order. She did the same, as much as she could, tucking her ripped cleavage into her bra, making it look almost like that was how it was supposed to be.

“Goodbye,” Alice said and tried to walk calmly and slowly towards the door, but she knew she had to get away from Jason Grantham right now, otherwise she would never be able to leave him behind.

Opening the door, she saw how he pulled the keys to Gary’s cuffs from his pockets and put them into the palms behind her ex-boyfriend’s hands. She couldn’t tear her glance away, not right away, she had to take in the view of him once more, King of Diamonds, her Mr. Scotch, as she reached down and slipped out of her shoes.

The moment Jason straightened up and looked at her, she closed the door on him and started running, only to stop at the door leading towards the main room. With a fake smile on her lips she walked as collected as possible through the tables, ignoring the glances of the people for the very first time and went straight for the door. Even though she couldn’t see it, Alice could sense that Jason was entering the main room the moment she slipped through the doors. She pulled up her dress and started running again, knowing that Alfred would be concerned but not asking questions when she arrived out of breath. And he didn’t, instead he took her mask, gave Alice her coat, and wished her a nice evening.

Alice slipped into her coat as she was running out of the path between Elm Street 8 and 9. She saw Henning sitting in his car, who moved as he saw her stepping onto the street. Directly behind him was one of the Alley’s sedan’s and she headed straight for that one, giving him her key card on which he could read the address of her new home.

As the driver steered the car onto the street she could see Jason step onto the sidewalk and stop, staring at the car, not able to see her behind the tinted windows.

Alice pressed her forehead against the cool surface and whispered. “Goodbye.”

  Twenty-Six

When Alice woke up on Tuesday morning in her own bed, everything felt just fine. The scents and sensation of the sheets were her own and her alarm was where it should be. As the memories of Sunday and Monday returned to her, for a second there, she believed them to be just a bad dream. That was, until she opened her eyes and realized that the ceiling didn’t match the one in her bedroom, as in her old bedroom. Reaching out for her smartphone, her hand touched the last thing she had in her hand before going to sleep, her remote. Blindly pressing some buttons, several things in her new apartment came to life simultaneously. The shutters moved up, the TV switched on and her new fully automatic coffee machine started grinding beans quite loudly. Prone on her bed, Alice blinked a few times, doing her best to not freak out while she let realization sink in.

Her ex-boyfriend, Gary, had been stalking her, in a sick or rather stupid attempt to woo her, and get back together. And all that just because she tried to find out if she was a dominant and had chosen him or rather his Dark Alley alter ego as her guinea pig, without knowing it was him. She had her first date with Tristan, who was Aquarius at the Dark Alley, with whom she had some kinky adventures there, who also was an investigative reporter and originally had wanted to write an article about the Dark Alley. Her boss, J.J. Grantham, who also was the one man she would always want to meet up with at the Dark Alley, was married. Plus, he had been the one who had invited her to the Dark Alley in the first place. On top of that, it was him she had called for help when Gary had broken into her apartment.

So many things had happened in just two days. But the worst of it was also the best thing. He had kissed her. Her boss, who was married, and was a billionaire, who owned the damn club! He had kissed her and she had run out on him just a moment later.

Alice slapped her hands to her face, burying herself in them, drowning in shame and embarrassment.

“Oh, my God,” she squeaked, shaking her head. “How am I supposed to show up at work today?”

For only a breath she considered calling in sick, but that was just silly and even more pathetic. She was a grown up and professional, there was no way that she would act like a scared little kitten for the second time within twenty-four hours.

Lured out of bed by the delicious scent of freshly ground and freshly brewed coffee, Alice managed to go to her open kitchen. The machine wasn’t her old one; t
hat one didn’t even grind beans, let alone have various types of coffee to choose from. Looking, she knew she would need to read its instruction manual.

Deciding to not turn around and once more take in her new apartment, Alice simply added the usual to her coffee and made herself some breakfast, trying to somehow not want to crawl under a rock and die. But it was her tired body that made her remember how difficult it had been for her to fall asleep, when she had ripped herself away from doing so every time she thought that someone was at her door. And that someone was King of Diamonds – she still had difficulties calling him Mr. Grantham.

“Mr. Grantham, Mr. Grantham, Mr. Grantham,” Alice chanted three times, trying to set that name into stone in her mind; the last thing she wanted to do was to call him ‘King’ the next time they met – which would be at the office.

Sipping on her coffee, knowing that no one, especially her boss, had been at her door, which meant that Mr. Grantham probably wouldn’t show up at her office either. The signal she had sent him by running away like a stupid teenager had been more than enough, obviously.

Again, Alice shook her head over what she had done, but she couldn’t take it back. What she could do, was to be professional, to trust in what her boss had told her about keeping things separate.

Looking at her phone, without further ado, she opened her messenger and typed a message to Tristan, asking him if he was up for another dinner or lunch date, and then made her way into her new bathroom. She still had to get used to the technology with which she could control the transparentness of the glass walls.

“You should be ashamed of yourself,” Alice mumbled.

King, Jason… Mr. Grantham, got this apartment for her. There was no way on earth that she could simply accept or ignore this fact. She would have to thank him and she would have to find a new apartment as fast as she possibly could, or maybe switch with Jimmy? Although he had joked about getting lost here, he seemed to like the place.

Alice made herself check her phone for new messages, only after she was ready to go to work would she call Jimmy. Just as she reached out for her smartphone there was a knock at her door, and she instantly froze. It couldn’t be Gary, he didn’t know where she lived now. It couldn’t be Mr. Scotch either because showing up now, after having a nice night of sleep seemed like an ass-move.

“It’s me, Jimmy, come to pick you up!” Her new sort of neighbor shouted through the door.

Almost already too used to the remote, Alice grabbed it and unlocked the door, letting Jimmy in, who expected her to stand behind the door and not a few feet away in her kitchen with a coffee in her hand.

“That smells like delicious coffee,” he smiled at her.

“Suit yourself,” Alice put the remote down again and grabbed her phone.

“Oh, thanks,” Jimmy was cheerful as ever, closed the door behind him and started rummaging in his messenger bag, bringing out a thermos cup. “I wanted to pick one up at the canteen, but this will definitely be better.”

“There’s sugar next to the fridge and…” Alice offered, but Jimmy waved her off.

“Black, like my humor,” Jimmy grinned.

  Cute.

Alice giggled and looked at her phone while her driver and soon to be best bud was making himself some coffee. Somehow, she liked the idea of him picking her up and getting some decent coffee in return. This was what friends did. This was something she missed from living with her best friend Bianca.

There wasn’t an answer to her message and as far as she could see, Tristan hadn’t even read it yet.

“Ready to go?” Jimmy ripped her from her thoughts and she just nodded, grabbing her purse, in which she already had put her work phone that hadn’t shown any messages either.

This was going to be a very quiet day, Alice thought.

And she would be right about that. Close to no one called her at the office, just one of the board member’s assistants cancelling for the next meeting. And Tristan still hadn’t answered when it was time for her to have lunch. So, she simply asked Jimmy if he would join her.

Tristan actually called her when she was on her way back home, in the car, leaving the office dead on time, and apologized for not getting back to her sooner and that he’d love to take her out for lunch or dinner tomorrow.

“Let’s go for dinner,” Alice suggested. “Pick me up from work like the last time.”

“Great! Can’t wait,” she could hear him smile widely through the phone.

“Me, too,” she smiled back, and then they hung up.

“So, that’s your boyfriend?” Jimmy asked curiously.

“Well, not yet, or yes, it’s hard to say,” Alice admitted.

“Why’s that?” Jimmy looked at her briefly through the rearview mirror, which made Alice decide that the next time she would simply ride shotgun.

  This was too strange.

“Well, it’s our second date, but we know each other, better than that?” She tried to explain, hoping that Jimmy would get the idea.

“Ah, got it,” he grinned. “ONS that became interesting the next morning. Been there. Good luck with that.”

  “ONS?” Alice frowned.

  “One night stand,” Jimmy snickered.

“Oh,” she felt herself blushing and quickly stared at her hands that were fidgeting nervously on her purse, and then suddenly realized what Jimmy had said. “Been there?”

“Yes,” he nodded, again just grazing her with his look and then brought his attention back to the street just as any responsible driver. “She and I hit it off at some random party. We were drunk and we ended up at my place. When we woke up I was like: jackpot. She was gorgeous, smart, and witty. We didn’t start dating until after playing booty call a few times,” Jimmy continued like it was no big deal. “But it was hard for us to actually get to know each other and when we finally did, we realized that we basically only had one thing in common.”

“Oh,” Alice didn’t know what to say.

“We still booty call each other when we are single and lonely, so it wasn’t all for nothing,” Jimmy winked at her through the rearview mirror. “And I’m not saying that it will be the same for you. I just know how awkward it can be.”

“Got it,” Alice smiled and nodded, thinking about her having trouble not thinking of sex when out with Tristan.

A part of her wanted to talk to Jimmy about it, since he already was so open about the ordeal, yet she wasn’t ready to chat with a colleague she just got to know a bit better about such an intimate topic.

  Maybe another time.

Arriving at their apartment building, Alice realized what a plus it was to live in the same building as Jimmy. As long as he was driving her home, she would always have a man to walk her to her apartment. By now, she was certain that every benefit she found had been well thoughtout by her boss, and it wrenched her heart. Especially because of how she had run out on him.

The next day, Alice buried herself in work. Going through any file, digital or in paper, she could find, to get a feel of Grace’s ways. Working helped her a lot to distract herself from overthinking everything. She had sunken her teeth into her task so deeply that the buzzing noise her phone created on the tabletop startled her.

After getting up, she realized that Bianca had sent her a message, asking her for lunch. Surprised, she looked at the time on her phone.

  “Eleven thirty?” She was dazzled.

Quickly she responded, telling her best friend that she would meet her out front at her old work place.

Thirty minutes later, Alice got out of the company car, waving goodbye to Jimmy. When she turned around Bianca looked at her as if she had grown a second head.

“You have a driver.” She said, flabbergasted.

“Didn’t I tell you?” Alice frowned and shook her head; she didn’t recall.

“You look as if you are a manager yourself,” her best friend beamed at her, clearly happy for her.

“Well, I sort of am, I manage the board of Gr
antham Global,” Alice shrugged and then shook her head about herself.

Within just a few days, Alice already felt as if her job was the most normal thing to do, but that was because she lived and breathed her job. Especially since she felt as if she didn’t really deserve it, even though she was good at it.

Walking to their standard lunch date restaurant, Alice’s mind was still jumbled over everything that had happened to her, and on top of all the files and notes Grace had put down.

“I don’t recognize you, Alice,” Bianca ripped her out of her thoughts. “It’s not like you are the very talkative kind, but I haven’t heard from you in days and now you are far away. What happened?”

“You need to sit for what I am about to tell you,” Alice looked at her best friend earnestly, and she shut her mouth instantly, nodding.

After sitting down, ordering the usual, Alice moved her chair closer to the table, noticing that her best friend didn’t try to do the same; after all, she was pregnant.

“One of the guys I played with,” Alice used quotation marks with the last two words, “turned out to be Gary.”

Bianca planted both of her hands on her mouth, staring at Alice wide-eyed in terror.

“It gets even better,” Alice wasn’t sure if she should or could laugh about this. “Apparently, he stole and copied your spare keys to my apartment. He sent me flowers that looked like my flower, the flower, and eventually a dress in the flower’s color.”

Bianca shook her head, only dropping one hand.

“When I wore it for someone else, he freaked out, let himself into my apartment and scattered pictures he had taken of me in front of work, the alley, and with Tristan, all over my place.”

“The reporter,” Bianca said, and Alice confirmed with a nod.

“With whom I have my second date tonight,” she said.

“Oooh,” her best friend cheered, smirking. “Well, at least you already know he’s good in bed.”

Alice rolled her eyes, but couldn’t help but grin.

“What happened with Gary? How did Tristan find out it was him?” Bianca connected the dots on her own.
