“So how long will it take you?” Cheyenne asked.
“We’re going to make some sight-seeing stops along the way before ending up in North Carolina to see my mom and sister,” Evie explained. “Then we’ll head to Virginia.”
“You going with Jack’s group of Saints?” Dude asked Patrick.
Nodding, Patrick confirmed, “Yep. I’ve already been in contact with him and we’re all set. I’ll start with them officially in about three weeks.”
“And what about you?” Dude asked Evie.
Smiling, she replied, “It seems that one of the Saints has a fiancé that works in a factory nearby and she says they’re desperate for engineers. I’ll give them a try.”
With the last box loaded, they hugged their friends goodbye and settled into the jeep. Pulling out onto the highway, Patrick looked over at Evie.
“You ready for a new adventure?” he asked.
“Oh yeah. And you?” she countered.
“Babe, with what we have built?” Repeating the words of his grandfather, he said, “We take care of this, cherish it, protect it…it’ll last a lifetime.”

As an Amazon Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I “cut my romance teeth” on the historical romance books from the 1970’s.
