Really, she could do almost anything she wanted to do.
For now, though, she had a premiere to attend. Caitlyn had just finished feeding Sam, and went to his crib to settle him in for the night. They had a nanny traveling with them, of course, but she enjoyed being the one to put him down, and she and Emrys spent a lot of time as a threesome, exploring cities together.
“Does he need a lullaby?” Emrys asked, entering the room. He hadn’t changed for the premiere yet and rolled up his sleeves as he approached Caitlyn from behind.
“Not a tone deaf one,” Caitlyn teased.
“I’m working on that. Musicals are popular these days. Who knows when the next one will start casting?”
“Well, don’t practice on us.” Caitlyn stroked Sam’s tummy and sang a few verses about a blackbird while Emrys watched them fondly.
“You’re a natural. Even have the right key.”
Caitlyn swatted his arm as they slipped out of the nursery. “And here I thought you were talking about my parenting skills.”
“A little of both.” Emrys kissed her cheek and reached around to squeeze her ass.
“Stop. I have to get ready, unless you want your wife showing up in a milk-stained shirt.”
“You can wear whatever you like. I have to get ready, too.” Emrys took her hand and pulled her toward the bathroom. “Let’s take a shower.”
Caitlyn slipped out of his grasp, but then blew a kiss as she walked backwards to the bathroom. Emrys put his hands dramatically over his heart and then chased after her. They’d appear together as just who they were in real life—a couple utterly smitten with one another. Now that they’d taken control of the narrative in the media, as well as how they worked together as a couple, nothing would ever separate them again.
