Murder Page 21

Murder lowered his head and rubbed his nose alongside hers before pressing a kiss to her lips again. “I saw you, Luci. I saw you inside Phrygia. And I saw you as yourself. It just took a little while to figure out that the entire reason I was drawn to Phrygia was because she carried your spirit inside her. It was always you, my Luci. Always. Give me your heart, my Luci.”

“My heart is already yours. I could never say no.”

Murder smiled. “You’ll never be sorry,” he promised, as he lay his body atop hers, his hands stroking the sides of her breasts. His hips gently rolling, pressing his hardness against her.

Lucitari sucked in a breath and opened her eyes wide at the sensations she was feeling. Her heart was pounding and on instinct, she spread her legs to allow Murder’s heavy body to settle between them.

Murder kissed her lips as he untied the silk cording at the top of the diaphanous dress she always wore, loosening the top and gently dragging it down her shoulders to reveal her breasts to him. His eyelids went heavy and a constant rumble could be heard in his chest as he stood, removed his own shirt and trousers, standing before her completely nude. Murder stood there, giving her the chance to admire his body — after all, it was hers now.

Lucitari sat up and ran her hands up one of his muscular legs to his thigh, her eyes glued to his manhood, standing out thick and proud from his body.

“I am yours now, Lucitari. Will you have me, and only me forever?” he asked in that deep, rich voice of his.

Lucitari finally managed to wrestle her eyes away from her favorite new part of him and looked into his yellow eyes as they shone at her in the darkness. “Yes. Only you. Will you have me and only me forever?” she asked, the nervousness clear in her voice.

“Yes!” Murder answered. “I am yours,” he said gently. “Lie back, my Luci. Let me touch you, taste you, make you mine in every way.”

Luci’s belly did a little flip. This. This was what she’d always wondered about and never thought she’d do. She’d watched curiously as humans had mated. She’d made a pointed effort to make sure she never saw Lore or Terrus mating with anyone. And now, finally, it was her turn.

Murder knelt in front of her. “I won’t hurt you. Not now, not ever.” He could tell she was nervous. He reached for her hand and placed it on his cock, wrapping her fingers around him and slowly stroking himself with her hand wrapped around him, as he guided her hand. The corner of his lip lifted and he snarled as her hand stroked his flesh.

Lucitari watched her hand moving across his silky soft skin, the hardness of his flesh fascinating to her. “Lie down,” he urged.

Lucitari responded immediately, lying back on the grass and pressing her hands to either side of her into the grass.

Murder reached for her dress, loosening the rest of the ties as they crisscrossed below her breasts and stomach almost all the way to her hips. As the silken cords came loose, he worked the dress down her body, finally pulling it free of her legs and tossed it away. He looked down at her, her legs slight parted, her breasts heaving, and slight blue mists swirling about her body as a result of her excitement.

“You are so unbelievably beautiful,” he murmured, kneeling near her, pushing her legs up and balancing them on his shoulders while he looked down at her. “Mine,” he rumbled.

“Only yours,” she answered. “I’ve never…”

He smiled down at her as her expression moved back and forth between excitement and nervousness. “Lie back, love,” he murmured, sliding down to lie between her legs with his face just above her hips. Her feet were resting on his back as he pressed a kiss to her lower belly, just below her navel. He sucked her skin into his mouth softly and nibbled a bit.

Her breath caught and he smiled up at her as he shifted his position so that he was just over the soft jet black curls that kissed the top of her mons. He looked down at her and stroked his fingers down her slit, gathering all the wetness he found there before he met her eyes and suckled his fingers clean.

Murder grinned at Lucitari as her eyes grew wide watching him. He gently held her open with his fingertips and lowered his head, swiping her with his tongue.

Lucitari’s hips jerked up, following his tongue.

Murder lowered his head again and pressed her legs backward, completely opening her to him. Then he licked her again before pressing his tongue inside her as deeply as he could. He used one of his fangs to rub against her clit as he laved her into a state of heightened passion, writhing before him on the ground, her hands grasping the soft grasses so tightly they broke free.

He inserted first one finger, then two, as he suckled her clit. The sounds she made, her rapid breathing, were music to his ears. These were the sounds of his female responding to his touch. The sounds of him loving her as only he could. He suckled her clit into his mouth and swiped it with his tongue once more, and she finally toppled over the edge, crying out his name to the stars overhead.

Murder wasted no time getting to his knees. He knew that once she’d orgasmed, she would be ready for him. Soft inside, relaxed, wet, and waiting for him to fill her. He grasped an ankle in each of his hands and pressed her feet to his chest. He tapped her ankles to let her know to keep them there as he scooted closer, looking down to line himself up with her opening.

He held his cock in place, rolling his hips just enough to tease her into scooting herself closer to him. Her buttocks now rested on his thighs and she whimpered as he rubbed the head of his cock against her. Murder looked at her. “You ready?” he asked.

“Yes,” she hissed at him, gasping for breath.

  “Forever,” he said.

“Even longer,” she answered, rolling her hips.

Murder nodded and leaned over her, catching himself with his right hand as his left guided his hard, throbbing, leaking cock into her welcoming body. He pushed forward, curling his hips until he felt himself slide just inside.

Lucitari caught her breath and froze, not moving at all beneath him.

Murder looked down at her. “Okay?” he asked, his voice strained from trying to hold himself back to allow her to adjust.

She didn’t answer at first, but he could feel her tightening and loosening her muscles, trying out the feel of the tip of him inside her. Finally she raised her eyes to his. “Yes.”

He pulled just slightly free of her, then pushed back inside, deeper this time.

Lucitari whimpered, but rolled her hips. Murder decided he needed to just get it over with, or she’d hurt for longer than necessary. He placed his left hand on her hip, holding her still. Then pulled back just a little, held himself there and looked down at her. “I love you, Lucitari. I am yours.”

She didn’t have time to answer before he slammed his hips home, and buried himself as deeply inside her as he could. Lucitari screamed out his name.

Murder pulled his hips back just a little and pushed inside again, rocking against her, while he slipped a hand between them to rub her clit. It took only a few minutes and he could feel her muscles relaxing a bit around him. She’d locked down on him like a vice when he first slammed into her, breaking through the barrier that nature had created her with.

As she began to relax, she released the hold she had on his shoulder and his arm, gradually beginning to work her hips with his. Soon, they struck up a rhythm that had his eyes rolling back in his head and her moans filling the night. He adjusted his position just ever so slightly until he could tell by the way her eyes widened as she looked questioningly at him, he’d found just the right spot. Then he rutted so hard against her and inside her, if she ever doubted the savagery behind his people, she now had no doubt.

When finally he fell exhausted to her side, pulling her on top of him, he’d given her three trembling, moaning orgasms, and he had filled her twice. Lucitari lay still breathing hard against his heaving chest. She lifted her head and placed a chaste kiss against his chest.

  “Are you alright?” Murder asked.

  “I am. I’m sore, but I’
m alright,” Lucitari answered.

“I’m sorry. I got carried away. I’ll try to be more gentle next time. But we’ll wait until you’re not sore anymore,” Murder promised, caressing her head where she’d laid it on his chest.

“Why?” she asked, raising her head, a horrified look on her face.

“What do you mean?” Murder asked, raising his own head to look at her. “To be sure that I don’t hurt you.”

“I expect you to get carried away every time. If you don’t, I shall be disappointed,” Lucitari answered.

Slowly Murder’s grin grew. “You liked it.”

“I especially liked when you moved really quickly,” she rushed out, somewhat embarrassed by her admission.

“You liked it when I rutted you hard and fast,” Murder teased, trying to make her blush. To his surprise it didn’t work.

Lucitari met his eyes and didn’t flinch when she answered. “Yes, I did. I like that part the best. I want it every time.”

Murder couldn’t help it. He thought he was spent, but at her words, he started to harden again.

Lucitari felt him against her hip and smiled deviously at him. “Like now. I want it like that every time. Especially now,” she demanded.

Murder growled, and got to his feet, sweeping her up and into his arms as she shrieked at the sudden movement. “Hold tight, my female. I’m taking you inside so that your screams don’t wake all the creatures already slumbering.”

Luci had her arms around his neck, and she pulled herself close to him. She kissed his neck and suckled the flesh of his neck into her mouth, nibbling softly. The snarl that left his chest made her all kinds of tingly. She had lots of ideas of things she wanted to try with her new mate. “We may not sleep this night, my mate.”

Murder had just kicked the door closed behind them. He stopped and looked down into her eyes. “What did you just say?” he asked, desperate to hear it again.

“I said, we may not sleep…”

“No, the other part,” he insisted.

“My mate. You are my mate,” she said, staring meaningfully into his eyes.

“That’s it. That part. That’s the part I want to hear very single day of our lives,” Murder said emphatically.

“Then I shall say it to you every single day.”

Murder kissed her lips as he started toward the bedroom.

“I love you, Murder,” she whispered.

“I love you, my Luci,” he answered.

  Epilogue

  Five years later,

Much had changed about Murder in the time since he and Lucitari had finally accepted one another. His horns were still tinged blue, and when he got irritated, a slight wisp of blue mist could be seen wafting away from his nostrils. Carnage found this immensely funny and often irritated Murder just to laugh at the blue mist that it always produced.

Lucitari had changed as well. She was happy. She spent a lot of time laughing, loving and enjoying the life that she had for so long denied herself. She loved being with friends just as much as she loved private time with her family. Like today — laughter and conversation filled their home, overflowing to the back yard as they and their guests moved back and forth from the house to the yard.

Murder walked into the open back door of his home with Bliss sitting on his shoulder. Her right hand was loosely holding onto his left blue tinted horn. She was fearless, and the hold on his horn was more so he wouldn’t remind her to hold on than to actually secure herself. Bliss, named for the innate happiness Lucitari and Murder had found within each other, was a tiny little thing that while quiet, was adventurous beyond reason. She had long dark hair much like her mother’s. Her skin was a light brown and her eyes were the same deep blue Murder loved so well, but they were ringed in a thin circle of yellow. Bliss was a very calm child that seemed to naturally bring peace to all who met her.

“Are you hungry, Bliss?” Murder asked her.

  “Yes, Daddy,” she answered.

He uncovered the platter of sausages, reaching for the best one he could find. “Sausage?” he asked, holding it up to her.

A woman’s laughter flowed in through the opened back door, followed by squeals and children laughing. Bliss’s eyes swung to the windows and the back door as two boys ran by, and she could see bubbles floating in the air. “Down! Down! Momma has bubbles!” she said excitedly, waving her hands and trying to shimmy down his shoulder and chest.

Murder reached up and took her off his shoulder, smiling indulgently. He followed Bliss to the back door and watched her run over toward Marauder and Boon who were trying to out jump each other to catch the highest floating bubbles Lucitari blew in a continuous stream as she ran, moving the bubble wand back and forth after dipping it into the small pail of soapy water she carried with her.

His heart warmed watching Lucitari play with the children. She no longer wore the long, diaphanous gowns that she always had in the past. Now she wore skirts and peasant blouses just as Rowan did. The lightweight cotton fabric was much cooler, and the beautiful embroidery that Serafina hand-stitched into most of the clothing was beautifully detailed. Most of the women of Whispers took their clothing to Serafina to have her designs stitched into the hems and necklines. It gave Serafina a steady income as well as made the women very happy with their unique blouses and skirts.

Lucitari ran past him barefoot, her skirt falling halfway between her knees and her ankles, laughing with her head thrown back, her eyes dancing as she blew a blast of bubbles right at him.

Murder smiled so big his sharp fangs were on display as he on impulse took out after her, catching her in only a few steps and swinging her around in his arms as he brought her in close to kiss her lips and rub his nose against hers.

  “I love you,” he whispered.

“Love you more,” she said, pecking a quick kiss to the tip of his nose.

“Ewww! Why’d you have to ruin it?” a very pretty little boy with dark, wavy hair and gold eyes complained, falling onto his back in the grass and throwing his hand over his eyes. “I’m blind now! My eyes!” he complained. “Why do the grownups always have to make everything yucky?!” he asked.

“Boy, get up!” Destroy yelled from across the yard.

“I can’t see!” Marauder — Rauder for short — yelled back.

Destroy walked over to his son and stood peering down at him. “Rauder, get up! People kiss when they love each other. Me and Mommy kiss all the time.”

“I know. It’s just too much. Too much yuckiness and it’s made me blind!” he got to his feet and started feeling around as though he couldn’t see anything.

Destroy reached out, intent on cuffing the side of his head, but Marauder ducked his hand and wandered off to find something else to be outraged about. It was his way — he was a bit dramatic.

“Can you do something with him, Row?” Destroy asked, walking back to her shaking his head at his son’s antics.

A very heavily pregnant Rowan who was visiting with Evangeline, popped another strawberry into her mouth. “Nothing to be done. He’s just like his father.”

“I beg your pardon! I am not that dramatic. I shall now go nurse my wounded pride. I cannot believe you have affronted me like that!” Destroy said, his chin raised in the air as he took on a wounded look and stomped inside the house, in truth to find a cake or a cookie to eat, grinning to himself knowing his Row was absolutely right — his boy was just like him and he loved it.

“You see it?” Rowan asked Evangeline.

“Yes, I do,” Evangeline answered. “But he’s very sweet, and thinks you’re the only woman alive.”

“Yes, he is, and he does,” Rowan agreed, smiling watching her husband disappear inside Murder’s house, knowing full well he’d bring her back a bite of cake or pie.

“Where’s Lily?” Carolena asked no one in particular. “And Carnage?” she added.

“Heeere,” Carnage said, almost as if his name brought him outside, he appeared holding a plate filled with some
of everything he found in the kitchen. He smiled walking over to Carolena. “’Eeat,” he said, smiling and offering her first choice of everything he’d brought.

Boon spotted the food and stopped chasing bubbles. He ran over and examined the platter that his papa offered to his momma. “I want a sausage, Momma,” he said, fluttering his silvery eyelashes, just as his Uncle Destroy told him all the ladies liked.

Carolena giggled. “Of course, my baby. Pick whichever you’d like.”

Boon chose the largest one and sat down in front of her, happily munching away, his attention on everyone else. He never missed a single thing and was aware of all going on around him at all times.

“Do you know where Lily got off to?” Carolena asked Carnage.

Carnage nodded. He pointed over her shoulder. “Lore,” he said, taking a bite of the food he’d brought to share with his wife.

Carolena turned and looked over her shoulder, and sure enough, there was Lily sitting with Lore while she made wildflower crowns and listened intently to the stories Lore softly told her of times and creatures of long ago.

Murder came and took a seat beside Carolena and Carnage, pulling Lucitari by the hand.

“This is fun, Murder. We should do this more often,” Carolena said.

“We will,” he answered, watching Bliss join in a game of tag with Marauder.

  “’Trawl?” Carnage asked.

“He and his family went into town today. They said they’d see us later,” Lucitari answered.

“He still hasn’t been able to identify who’s been killing the wild game and leaving their carcases strewn about after they take the meat?” Carolena asked.

“No, he hasn’t. But he’s pretty sure the same people are responsible for all the missing items in Whispers. It has to be someone new moving into our area. I just can’t believe any of our people would steal from the rest of us. Everyone knows if you need all you have to do is ask. We all come together when necessary,” Murder answered.
