  ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Wow! We did it. Writing this book is one of my proudest moments in life, and it couldn’t have been done without the help of many. This was truly a collaborative effort through stories, guidance, and support from my closest friends and family, and I’m eternally grateful for you all. I love you!

To my amazing wife, Melissa—you truly are the girl of my dreams. From the 5th grade on, I pictured myself with you, and your support has been paramount in the success of fundamism.

Brennan and Adalyn, the best children I could ask for—your humor, fun-loving attitudes, and kindness drive me more than you’ll ever know. Every person, parent, and child should feel the genuine joy I see in your faces daily. Let that joy guide you in all you do, monkeys.

Mothers, Martha and Sandy—you two have been instrumental in my development. Your love, direction, and support (both monetarily, physically, and emotionally) have allowed me to take risks in life without fear of failure. Your value cannot be understated.

Chris, Jamie, and Cassie, my awesome siblings—you are all bosses! Never forget how truly special you are. We’ve had some amazing memories with many more to follow. Thank you for consistently voicing your admiration and appreciation for what I’m trying to accomplish. It drives me.

My guy, John Stoner! You’ve been my best friend from day one. From basketball to Prodigy, Desco, Slurpees, catsuits, and beyond—so many of my fondest experiences in life include you. I love you, bro. Thank you for always being there when I needed FUN the most.

I’m eternally grateful to have crossed paths and played a small role in the journey of Noah Wilson. Scott and Deb, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Your boy and our families’ friendship made a huge impact on me. From now until I can no longer continue, I am committed to sharing the story of Noah and raising awareness for pediatric cancer research.

To my loving aunts, Carol and Elaine—you loved me as your own child for as long as I can remember. Your resilience through challenging times, light-heartedness, and willingness to share in all your fun played a direct role in creating my positive mindset. Props to you both.

Rod Johnson, you Lisa-Loeb-glasses-wearing stud! You were a mentor and guide at a pivotal moment in my life. You inspired confidence in me and were the business savvy, father figure I needed to reveal all the opportunities there are for someone to make an impact in this world. Thank you.

My Brotein Shake, Danny Duffy. Bruh. You’ve been on this journey with Noah’s Bandage Project from the jump and you’ve made such an impact. You try your best to live by Gandhi’s mantra, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” I believe the world could benefit from more kindhearted, loving souls like you. Danny, you’ve made a difference to Scott, Deb, myself, and many others. Never underestimate all that you’ve accomplished. I’m proud to call you my brother.

Chase McAnulty. I’ve always felt uncomfortable asking people for help. For one reason or another, you laid those fears at ease. I don’t know why you decided to help me but you’ve played a major role in my success of late. I’m eternally grateful to have you in my life and appreciate your confidence in me. I look forward to pushing each other in the years to come while having all the FUN we can handle!

Travis Kelce—I’m so honored that you agreed to be a part of this project. Your spirit is the embodiment of fundamism, and I couldn’t have asked for a better champion than you. You inspire so many in our community through your philanthropic efforts and authentic presence. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

To the countless other friends and family that weren’t mentioned above—you matter to me. The social media shares, thoughtful words, expressed confidence in my ability, and consistent pressure to push me forward have been instrumental in my success. I will never take your help for granted, and I look forward to our continued partnership in getting fundamism to the masses.

Finally, to my father, Sam. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever said or written. I know you can’t read this, but I can only hope you feel it wherever you are. While your life may not have ended up as you thought it would, you accomplished far more than you’ll ever know. You created four beautiful children who aspire to make a difference in the lives of others—and we will because of you. Dad, our success is your success, so rest easy knowing that you were a catalyst in the inspiration of fundamism!
