by Kelley, Morgan

“I beat her up and she’s out in the snow.”

He actually tensed and earned another punch.

“Really Cal?” she asked, incredulously and a little hurt.

“I’m edgy and nervous. I’m sorry, and I don’t need her running terrified from the Blackhawk family.”

  “Can we discuss something?”

He looked over at her nervously. “I guess we can. What?”

Elizabeth looked up at her husband and ran her fingers down his cheek lovingly. He was the sexiest man in the world, and she couldn’t imagine her life without him. “Ethan, remember the day you proposed to me?”

“I certainly do. Best day of my life.” Yeah, he certainly had won the wife lottery. Slowly Ethan began kissing his wife on the lips, and then a little more, and then…

“You two, hello?” interjected Whitefox, laughing.

“Sorry, too many sexy men in one house, I’m easily distracted.” Elizabeth refocused, but her body was all hot and bothered by the kiss. “Can you tell your brother the correct way to propose? A little birdy told me that he missed that part of man training one-oh-one.”

Blackhawk looked confused as to where she was taking this. “You get the father’s permission to marry his daughter, you get a ring, you get down on one knee, you ask and then you pray she says yes,” he said, smiling down at his wife. “Then you have copious amounts of sex until you get her pregnant and wobbly,” he added, snickering. He took the rib shot this time.

She stared over at Whitefox. “How many of those steps did you complete?”

He looked confused, then embarrassed, and then he got it. “I have the ring.”

Ethan Blackhawk reached behind his wife’s head and smacked his brother. “You didn’t get down on one knee and ask?”

  “No, I was going to…”

“Your brother has alluded, ordered, and assumed that she was going to marry him. In fact he’s demanded they have more kids than we were going to have, but not once did he beg for her hand in marriage. Please tell your brother that women hate to be ordered to do anything, Ethan, and that if he wants to get the girl there are rules to the game.”

“Son, women are delicate creatures that need to be finessed,” he started and Elizabeth elbowed him again.

“I get it,” he said, leaning back. “I didn’t follow proper protocol.” His brother was all about proper procedure, apparently in life and love too.

Elizabeth laughed. “Rules are rules, boys. You show up at the girl’s house, you get on your knee, you offer up a sparkly ring, and beg.”

  Callen smiled.

“Can I add one more thing?” asked Elizabeth.

“Sure you can, beautiful,” he said, wanting to hear what she had to say, since these two people were his standard of a happy marriage.

“Callen, you need to make sure she’s the one, and have no doubt whatsoever. We support your decision and will stand with you no matter what.”

Whitefox stared into the icy blue pools and could feel his body flushing. It reminded him of the time on the Rez when the body turned up in his house and he had to tell her he was looking for easy sex to get over her. “I want to do this because it feels right.”

Elizabeth saw the lie, being trained law enforcement, she could spot one a mile away. “Okay, darlin’.” Then she released his hand.

Blackhawk shook his head. “Okay Callen, there are candles in the kitchen in the first cabinet, a bottle of wine in the fridge. Go get out the rings, tell her the history behind them, put one on her finger, AFTER you ask her if she wants to marry you and she says yes.”

“She’s in the shower. You have enough time to set the mood, and get it ready.”

Callen knew how lucky he was that they cared enough to help him out on this and worry that he was settling. Now he had a plan, and was going to get what he wanted.

Elizabeth watched him charge up the steps, and then he turned around and ran back down. “I love you,” he said, kissing her on the lips and then resting his forehead on hers. His hand went to his brother’s shoulder. “Thank you for supporting me and believing in my choices.” Immediately he ran back up the stairs, the wine and candles in his hands.

“Now I’m worried,” she said, when he was all the way upstairs.

“Me too,” he replied. “But Callen has to make his own way, isn't that what you told granddad?”

Elizabeth hated that he was right. Now they had to sit back and wait, and support him anyway they could.

He changed the subject. “I meant what I said; asking you to marry me was the best day of my life.”

“I wish you could have asked my father, he would have loved you.”

Blackhawk stroked her cheek. “I did ask him. The day they exhumed him, I asked for time alone with him, introduced myself and asked for daughter’s hand in marriage. When you marry a girl, you ask the dad first, and since he didn’t object…”

Elizabeth felt her eyes begin to well up. “You’re the best thing that ever happened to me,” she said, straddling his lap and kissing him. “I won’t ever love anyone the way I love you, Mr. Blackhawk.”

“I happen to feel the same way,” he answered.

When her hands slid into his hair and she dove into his mouth with everything she had to show him her love for him, his body hardened beneath hers. Her blood started pounding in her ears, and the scent of his cologne and soap overpowered her, and she just controlled the kiss. When she finally broke away, his eyes were hazed with lust and his breath was ragged.

“That was some kiss, Mrs. Blackhawk.”

“Take me upstairs, and I’ll show you what goes with it, Mr. Blackhawk,” Elizabeth whispered in his ear. She giggled as he was up and off that couch so fast, her wrapped around the front of him. “In a hurry?”

“Not giving you time to change your mind, or for my brother to need another lesson,” he said, serious look on his face, as he bounded up the stairs and locked their bedroom door. Carefully he placed her on their bed and hopped on beside her. “Commence your plan of attack, Mrs. Blackhawk,” he snickered. “I am your willing victim.”

Elizabeth rolled to her side, and looked down at her sexy husband. He was all angles and hard lines, and he made her heart pound in her chest. Lowering her lips to his, she slowly, torturously began kissing him. Drawing out the kiss, and the pleasure they both found in it. “Ethan, I can’t wait to get home. I miss climbing all over my husband whenever I want,” she whispered, keeping her voice down, just in case Callen Whitefox was in his room next door.

“Baby, trust me when I say that I probably miss it more,” he laughed, and then her hands started wandering. His wife had a voracious appetite, but an assignment put a damper on it, especially sharing a house with others.

His focus returned to his wife as already she had his shirt untucked from his pants, and her hands were running trails across his flesh leaving scorching paths that were causing him to burn with want.

Elizabeth began kissing him again, and doing really creative things with her tongue and teeth, and when he moaned, she almost shivered just from the guttural sound. It came deep and low from his chest, and made her temperature rise even more.

Ethan could feel his buttons being undone, and his control began slipping. What he wanted was to roll his wife to her back and invade her body, with abandon. “Killing me,” he muttered into her mouth, and then her hand found him, and she stroked him. “I take that back, go ahead, kill me!” He closed his eyes, and she pulled him free of his dress pants.

“Like this, Ethan?” she asked, and took him in her mouth.

The heat and wet warmth were enough to almost make him lose it, and he fought to not move his hips, not grab her by the hair, and not take complete control like everything in him demanded. There was something possessive living in him since his woman was carrying his child. It was primitive, and it fought with him for complete control every time they came together for sex.

“Yeah, that’s so damn good baby!” Blackhaw
k moaned again, and again fought for more control against her oral assault. When she broke out the teeth, he arched and prayed.

Elizabeth loved the control over her husband, and loved when she could give him so much pleasure. She took him deeper, and his body began to shake in response. In a burst of frenzy she took him hard, until he dug his clenched hands into the bedding.

“Shit, Elizabeth,” he couldn’t breathe. “I’m out of practice,” he whispered, as she continued to torment him. Just when he couldn’t handle it anymore, she stopped, and slid off the bed, to undress.

“Get naked Ethan, and then sit up against the headboard. I want to ride my cowboy tonight,” she ordered, slipping off her shirt, and dropping her jeans. Next to follow were her bra and panties.

Ethan obeyed as he slid out of bed, stripped, then jumped back into bed where his wife wanted him. All he could keep thinking was, ‘beautiful woman on top’, and he was infinitely happy. “Yee Haw,” he muttered, as he watched his wife crawl across the bed to him, her body now lush from pregnancy, he was even more turned on and it must have said it on his face.

“What are you thinking about, Ethan?” she asked, straddling his lap.

“That I hope your breasts stay that big after you have the baby,” he confessed and couldn’t help but stare at them, touch them, and taste them. It was a man thing. When his hands wandered her body, he felt the overwhelming need to take his wife, claim her and what grew deep within her body, but he allowed her the control. If just for tonight, he’d fight the beast clawing at his body.

Elizabeth enjoyed her husband’s hands touching her body, stroking, finding all the spots that made her crazy and turned her on. Her hands roamed his body equally, and then she found the big black raven, her name tattooed beneath it as she wedding gift and she felt the need to be wild and out of control. Leaving kisses across it and feeling the need build in her.

“Elizabeth,” he whispered at her open mouthed kisses across the raven that was now both theirs.

“I want you out of control,” she whispered into his ear, as she slid him deep within her body. “I want you wild, Ethan.”

“Oh God,” he moaned, and braced his body for the assault he knew was coming. As she started to move, and control the depth and speed, he was already shaking. This was going to be torture, as she rode him, and grinding down, each time. It tore a gasp from his lips, as she tormented him.

Elizabeth rode him, overcome with need. The pregnancy hormones were making her crave his body. Elizabeth loved feeling his body quiver beneath her. She wouldn’t last much longer, her body was already over sensitized and now she was making herself crazy. When she was just about ready to break apart, she felt his hands come to her hips, and he took over, guiding her up and then pulling her down. The pure bliss was incredible, and she began to shake and finally she shattered, his name on her lips.

Now his body was in flames, and if he didn’t find relief he was sure he’d ignite. His wife was breathing heavy, and then he realized it wasn’t her, but him. “I need to take my wife,” he whispered, while she struggled to refocus. “Ride me, Elizabeth,” he ordered, his eyes met with hers as she began again “Wait for me,” he whispered hoarsely, as he pulled her down at a bruising pace, fingers digging into her hips, to control her body, and force it to give him what he needed.

“Ethan,” she begged, already so close again.

“More baby, I need so much more,” he was on fire; the woman on top of him was making him absolutely crazy with need and lust. Blackhawk couldn’t take it anymore and rolled, placing her beneath him and slid back into her body, as far in as he could. The invasion was powerful as he continued moving deeper and deeper. With his arms braced beside her, he gave her what she wanted until neither of them could take much more.

“Ethan,” she moaned and arched, fighting to stay in control.

“God, I can’t get enough,” he whispered, and felt his wife lose her battle, she quaked and tightened around him as she found bliss again, and he fought hard to get into her body. That resistance alone and the struggle to push in was finally all it took. Blackhawk erupted so powerfully, he may have shouted her name. Falling to the bed beside her, he fought to regain his basic abilities.

  Sight.

  Hearing.

And feeling anything from his waist down.

Elizabeth started laughing or maybe it was snickering. She wasn’t quite sure, but whatever it was, she had reason to be smug. “Nice one, Cowboy,” she said, slapping him on the bare ass. Then she ran a hand down his tattooed back, ridged with lines and muscles that were her little obsession.

“I’m glad I entertain you,” he muttered.

Elizabeth rolled to her side, and then pulled a blanket over them both. “Let’s sleep.” She was suddenly exhausted. “Between you and Baby Blackhawk, I don’t have my never ending stamina,” Elizabeth yawned.

Blackhawk rolled to his side, placing her body protectively over hers and their child. Her belly was against his hip, and the motion of his child bouncing, drew his hand to her flesh. Slowly he soothed, rubbing, and massaging the spinning baby. When the motion stopped, he kept his hand there, guarding what they made together.

“I love you, Elizabeth,” he said softly, as he drifted off to sleep.

Elizabeth opened her eyes, and tucked a strand of his hair from his cheek. “I love you too, Ethan,” she whispered back, and then curled into his body, lying there and worrying about the other man in her life two doors away.

  ~ Chapter Nineteen ~

Callen listened to the shower shutting off and he looked around the room to make sure the scene was set. He took the time to light a fire in the fireplace, set up the candles around the bed, and pour the wine. In his pocket were the family heirlooms that he was given by his grandfather, brother and sister-in-law.

  He was ready.

No he wasn’t. He was scared shitless. Ordering her to marry him was easy, putting his heart out there and allowing her to reject him was going to be the hard part. What he really wanted was reassurance from Ethan and Elizabeth. Whitefox would have run back to them to make sure he was doing it right, but he already knew they’d begun their evening. While in his room he heard the evidence and smiled. The way they loved each other was the benchmark he wanted to set for himself and Desdemona. As a child he always wanted to be just like his big brother, and now was no different. He was on the cusp of getting everything he ever wanted in life, and mimicking his brother’s path in life. There was the escape from the Rez, the job in the FBI and then the finding of an outsider woman to help him complete the mission in life.

When the door to the bathroom opened, fear filled him that he’d screw this up. The woman he wanted to marry was standing there with her hair pulled back, and she looked so innocent. He fought to not rush to her, wrapping her protectively in his arms.

Desdemona looked around, and knew what was happening. Elizabeth Blackhawk’s hands were all over this, and she smiled. Having a girlfriend for the first time in her life was a pretty incredible thing, and having Callen Whitefox, well that was just as amazing. “Hi,” she said, softly. Everything in her was pounding, and she forced herself to walk towards him.

“Hey, sweetheart,” he said, putting out his hand.

Desdemona took it, because she wanted desperately to be part of this man’s life. Everything about him was what she wanted in a man. Kindness, a big heart, and incredibly sexy; he was the perfect package for her, and she knew it deep down on the first day she saw him. All she wanted was to have him and the family that came with him. “I like the room, are we having a date?” She went into his arms and accepted the kiss waiting for her. It was sweet, gentle and he used it to mask his nerves, but she could feel them just below the surface.

Whitefox kept the kiss light, and as he broke it, he gave her the answer, “We are.” Leading her over to the bed, he lifted her up by the waist to situate her. He sat beside her and handed her a glass of wine. “I wanted to talk to you first.”
/>   “About?” Desdemona tried to look like she was confused, but she wasn’t sure if she was pulling it off at all. All she kept saying to herself was ‘Be Morticia’, and to let her heart make the final decision. Now she just needed to trust her friend’s advice.

  “Us.”

“Okay, Callen.” The wine helped soothe her nerves as she took a healthy gulp to help calm her down. Desdemona was scared out of her mind that she was going to make the wrong decision. Inside she knew she wasn’t ready but what if she asked for more time. What would happen then? Would he leave her and then would she be alone, knowing that she was too scared to commit? What if she said yes and it ended up being a mistake? Oh God! This was so stressful.

“I want to tell you about my family and the history they have when it comes to finding the women they married. My grandfather was married to my grandmother for a long time. They were an arranged marriage, as he was the oldest son, and she the oldest daughter in another tribe. They were picked to be married to unite the families,” he said, beginning the story. “She was so young, and he was so stubborn that no one believed they’d make it. The fights they had that first year were talk among the tribe. My grandfather was a stubborn brave, and my grandmother, she had a wicked temper.”

  Desdemona listened patiently.

“It took the time to find love together. There were many fights and battles between them, but in the end they found it.” He sipped his own wine. “I was told often that I had to carry on my bloodlines with a Native woman. If my grandfather could have, he would have hand-picked our wives. Luckily we both were stubborn as hell.”

Desdemona laughed at that. “I hadn’t noticed.”

Callen Whitefox winked at her. “As a young man, growing up on the Rez, there were only a few things I wanted in life. A way out, to be like my big brother, and to find the love of my life.” He looked into her green eyes and pushed forward hoping she’d believe everything he was saying. The love of his life was in the other room, but this woman could fill in the remaining holes. He was sure of it. “I think you and I are meant to be together, much like my grandfather and grandmother. We could have a really good life and fill it with laughter, love and family.”
