“You can act like you don’t care about Asahd all you want. Yes, he may be a little loose with his dingaling, but that’s just about it. No bitch in here can say they went to his house, drove his car or slept in his bed.”
“Nothing happened,” I reminded.
“And that’s the bigger picture! What man is doing all that for a woman he ain’t even hit. It’s not about sex. Asahd is feeling you, and the quicker you realize it, the quicker we can secure our future together. If we have kids, they can be best friends like us and cousins.”
I directed my attention towards her with an arched eyebrow. “You pregnant?”
“No! I’m just saying.”
“You’re changing Keke,” I laughed. “I barely heard you talk about relationships and now you doing the baby talk.”
She waved me off. “Stick to the topic Mill.”
“I can’t deal with you, Keira.”
“Well, you have no choice. You know you’re stuck with me,” she teased, and I laughed.
She was right. As crazy as she was I wouldn’t trade her looney ass for anyone else in the world.
Thirty minutes later, I moved to the storage area, and Keira dragged her chair right along with me running her mouth. That was the last area I had to do, and once I was done, I went and ordered food from the kitchen. Dynasty was a club, but the food was great. I loved the cajun shrimp pasta and got it for free at that. I wasn’t passing up on a meal.
We both sat down and ate our food. We were facing the door, and I spotted Nina the minute she walked in. I had a feeling she was headed our way, and she didn’t look too happy at all. She was dressed in yoga pants and a Nike shirt with her hair in a ponytail on top of head looking like she was in fight mode.
“This bitch,” I heard Keira mumbled dropping her fork.
“You’re driving Asahd’s car?” she asked pointing at me.
“I’m sure those bitches told you already, so you know the answer to the question,” Keira snapped at her.
Nina reared her head back at Keira and Keira stood to her feet. I grabbed Keira’s arm to pull her back down, but she yanked it away and pulled her flat-ironed hair into a ponytail as well.
“I wasn’t talking to you.”
“But I am talking to you. You know how I roll. What’s your whole thing?”
“KeKe chill, I got this,” I said standing to my feet. There was no way I was going to let anyone stand over me and get an advantage of swinging. “Yeah, I’m driving his car. What’s up?”
“You’re fucking him?”
“Nope,” I smiled, and her frown deepened.
“And if she is it isn’t your fucking business Nina. What you trying to do?”
“I came to figure out who she is.”
“She’s the woman driving his shit. Mind your damn business and go oil a pole down.”
Nina rolled her eyes hard at Keira and looked me up and down. The longer she looked, the deeper the grimace got on her face.
“You’re not even his type little girl.”
“Bitch!”
Keira went to go swing on her, but luckily I pulled her back because Nina was seconds too late from jumping back.
“You’re clearly the one that ain’t his type. You hear one thing, and you’re in panic mode scared you’ve been replaced. I guess the only thing a fake body can secure is a bag.”
She clapped her hands together after shaking off the insult. I know she was pissed but wasn’t going to do shit about it.
“That was cute. You’re new to this baby girl. Ask anyone in here. Asahd belongs to me. If you didn’t fuck him, I’m sure you will, and he will forget about you when it’s all said and done, just watch.”
Nina walked away, and I pulled Keira back down and continued to eat my food.
“Why you ain’t let me beat her ass?” she whined.
“It ain’t worth it. She wants to fight over Asahd or talk shit over him, but I have no attachment to that man. I pulled my phone out and got a text message from Asahd.
Asahd: Your car is ready. I’m coming up there to take you to it.
Me: Great, but I’ll leave your keys and take an Uber. Send me the address.
Of course, he ignored that part, and I wasn’t surprised to see him walk through the door. Nina stopped him as soon as she spotted him. They exchanged a few words, and she stormed out of the club.
I rolled my eyes at him as he approached me mad I was turned on by him. He had on a simple navy blue sweat suit with sneakers on his feet, but he made it look really good. The closer he got near, the more I got a whiff of his cologne and was falling deeper into a trance.
“Sup Ke,” he greeted. “You ready?”
“No. I’m eating, I told you to send me the address.”
“I’m not sending you shit. Hurry up and eat,” he dragged a chair that was at a table across from us and made himself comfortable.
“I was this close from fucking you home girl up,” Keira told him.
“You should’ve,” he responded. He knew about the incident, and he was too calm when it had me hot. I ain’t have time to be beefing with no one over a nigga that wasn’t mine. I couldn’t wait to get my car back and go about my business. Every female in Dynasty can have him.
Keira and Asahd spoke the entire time. Once we were done eating, we shared a hug, and she told me she was going back home. I told her I should be there soon. I got in the passenger side of his car and waited while he inspected his car wanting to further irritate me. He could've done all that before he came inside of the club.
“I didn’t do anything to your car,” I snapped after he finally got inside of the car.
“Good because I would’ve had to fuck you up. I can’t believe I let you hold it. I don’t even let my brothers touch my shit, and they taught me how to drive.”
“Yeah, you’re not the only one in disbelief clearly.”
“Why you ain’t just fucking smack Nina? She had no right stepping to you about my shit. She ain’t my girl, and she ain’t pay for my fucking car.”
I looked his way. “Oh really because how hard she was going, I would think otherwise.”
“Fuck her.”
“We all know you did that.”
We exchanged looks, and he started the car then drove off. “That’s all it is though.”
“Look, you don’t gotta explain yourself to me. Quite frankly I don’t care who you fuck,” I lied knowing it burned me up that he was such a hoe and I was attracted to him. “I’ma make sure this won’t happen again.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” he shot back.
“Exactly what I said,” I snapped.
The rest of the car ride was quiet. When we got to the shop, I waited in the waiting area while he spoke to the guy. The minute I saw my car drive out I jumped out of my seat and rushed over to it before I thanked him and left.

“Where’s mom?” I asked after hugging my father and taking a seat next to him on the couch.
“She’s taking a nap.”
I inconspicuously looked around to see if anything stood out and it looked pretty much the same. I took a seat on the couch, and my father walked into the kitchen to grab a beer out the fridge. He sat down next to me and lifted the remote browsing the sports channels before settling on a foreign soccer game. He loved all sports. I remembered him trying to get me to play a few, and I failed miserably. It wasn’t my thing at all mainly because I was lazy. I rather read than chase an object around.
The funny thing about it is that my dad wasn’t into playing sports his damn self. He was slim, about 5’ll. I guess that’s why he loved it because he was only capable of watching it.
“Remember I had you try out for your middle school soccer team?” he asked.
“Yes,” I giggled “and I kept busting my behind all over the field.”
“Yeah, I learned then sports wasn’t for you.”
“It only took a few bruises for you to realize,” I responded sarcastically,
and he laughed turning his beer up.
“So how’s school coming along?”
“Good,” I responded. “I can’t wait for it to be over.”
My father got quiet, and I looked over at him. When he made eye contact with me, I saw the worry in his eyes.
“Are they still allowing you to go?”
“I got it covered dad.”
“How?”
“I got a loan…” It was half a lie because Asahd did kind of loan it to me and I was working it off.
My father sighed and rested his elbows on his lap and cradled his head in his palms.
“I feel like I let you down. Everything happened so fast, and I didn’t want to alarm you with our issues. I sold the shop.”
My mouth dropped, but I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to make my father feel worse than what he already did. The shop was passed down for four generations. I couldn’t believe it.
“What’s going on?” I asked rubbing his back.
“Your mom and I just fell on hard times. I was going to get the money to make sure you graduated. I can pay off the loan now.”
“No, it’s fine dad. I have everything handled already, but uh… what are you and mom gonna do about money.”
“We’ll figure it out. I don’t want you worried about us. Everything we have is paid for. Our main concern is you finishing school.”
My father embraced me and kissed me on my forehead. He tried to sound convincing, but I had a feeling things were worse than what he was letting me on to believe. For the time being, I let it go and enjoyed our moment together. I missed my parents so much and now that he wasn’t working it gave me more time to spend with him.
NINA
“This nigga got me fucked up!” I huffed slamming my fist into my palm.
It was not only embarrassing but it broke my fucking heart that he played me in front of everyone like that. For a bitch he barely even knew! That’s what had me lost for words.
I was hoping it wasn’t true that the bitch wasn’t driving his shit, but she was and now I was the only one looking salty.
I unlocked my Charger and got inside slamming the door behind me. I started my car and made my way to my family’s house. I was pissed and I didn’t want to be alone. I found a parking spot in front of my grandmother’s house and got out walking up to my cousin and her ratchet as home girl everyone called Kitty.
“Look what the wind done blew in,”Shayla said rubbing on her stomach and puffing on a black and mild. We were the same age and we could’ve been tight, but we had our differences. She grew a little jealous once I made changes and got my money in a different way. Shayla would fuck her best friends boyfriend if the price was right. Her loyalty was held with no one which is why I didn’t put shit past her. Trust me, I knew she fucked Kitty baby dad and a couple other of her friends niggas. She was my cousin so I wasn’t going to put her out there like that though.
“I don’t think you should be smoking that. It’s bad for the baby.”
“Um, do you have kids? Don’t tell me what to do.”
“If you would’ve had the six before this one I’m sure you would know what to do. I believe they tell you not to be smoking while you’re knocked up,” I shot back snatching up the black and mild from her hand and throwing it out in the street.
“You owe me $1.25,” Kitty had the nerve to tell me with a grimace on her face.
“I’ll cash app you,” I responded with an eye roll. “What kind of friend are you that you allow her to smoke while she’s pregnant.”
“It’s her body,” she replied with a shrug.
All I could do was shake my head. They were the definition of dumb and dumber and sometimes switched up the roles.
The three of us entered my grandmothers house and unlike any other time no one was there. The house was normally packed with the family and random niggas from the street that needed to keep warm while they grinded.
“Where’s everyone?” I asked moving a magazine off the couch before I plopped down on it and yelped out from the excruciating pain that shot up my back from my ass.
“I should’ve warned you it’s crates under there. Them muhfuckas done tore up the cushions. I don’t want your booty fat to shift.”
Dickeating Kitty cackled like a hyena and I curled my lip up at her. The shit wasn’t funny at all.
“What brings you over here?” she questioned me.
“I was bored.”
“Figures,” she spat. “You’re too good to spend time with your family.”
“I’m here ain’t I? What you been up to? Are you ready for the baby?”
“Hell yeah. I’m sick of carrying this heavy weight.”
“Tell her about the fight we got into at CFCF!” Kitty exclaimed like a kid.
I focused on Shayla and she began to tell me how her baby daddy ex was up there visiting him and she hit her. I wasn’t really paying attention until she mentioned her name.
“Camille? The short dark skin girl?”
“Yup, how you know her?”
I clenched my fist just thinking about her. “That bitch is fucking with my man.”
“Um… Asahd isn’t your man. But damn that’s crazy. I wonder if Josh know she was fucking him.”
“She’s not fucking him apparently. I don’t believe that one bit. Asahd can’t keep his dick to himself.”
“Well if she’s a problem, I will be seeing to it that she gets locked the fuck up for putting her hands on me. Even though I hit her first, Kitty and them jumped her and when the guards came, I started yelling I was pregnant. I went to the hospital and got evaluated. The baby is fine, I will have Josh, she will be in jail and you will be happy pretty soon.
Now since leaving the club I actually had a smile on my face. That sounded too good to be true, but if it was it was exactly what I needed. Asahd clearly wasn’t going to stop fucking with her, so I needed another way to get rid of the little bitch.
“How sure are you about her getting locked up?”
“The court date is set. She will get a letter in the mail and I’m prepared to put on a good show. If my baby come out fucked up, I would definitely place the blame on her.”
I shouldn’t have been glad my cousin was careless with her pregnancy but I was. That baby was gonna come out with issues and I knew it wasn’t from her getting punched in the face. Oh well, that was for Camille to worry about.
“I heard Ben tried to rape her ass in the club you work at too,” Kitty spoke up.
“That nigga ain’t shit. He told me he was going to pay me $30 to suck his dick and then told me he had to bust a trap and never returned.”
I frowned my face up because I heard he had sores on his dick. He told girls it was from shaving and now one girl that believed him had frequent outbreaks around her mouth. “I hoped you used a condom. I heard he have Herpes.”
Shayla shrugged and patted her matted weave. “I didn’t see nothing on his dick when I was sucking it. I made sure I looked.”
“You gotta be kidding me,” I said out loud shaking my head. “People can be experiencing an episode without symptoms, Shayla. You gotta be careful yo.”
“I am careful. If I have it, I can take a pill and get rid of it.”
“No the fuck you can’t.”
Shayla shrugged again even though she looked a bit worried. She clearly was a big fucking dummy and Kitty stupid ass tried to ease her worries by telling her she sucked Bens dick as well and she ain’t have anything either. Now wasn’t this some shit? I was done talking about the topic and almost wanted to leave because I was afraid that their retardation was an airborne illness.
Instead of worrying about their health. I was so happy knowing I can have Asahd to myself again. I ended up I sticking around and brought us all food and we ate while we talked about what was going on in the neighborhood.
ASAHD
A few days later…
“Why you over there sulking?” Zayne questioned me sparking up a blunt.
I aimlessly went to Camille’s thread and looked over at the eleven messages I sent her. They were all read, and I had a feeling she deliberately turned her read receipts on so I can know she was ignoring me.
“I’m not sulking,” I spat.
“Yes, you are who did it? Matter fact here,” he handed me over the Dutch, and I gladly accepted it regardless of what he thought. “You probably need this.”
“Fuck you.”
“Or maybe that’s what it is. Lil baby need pussy?” Zayne joked, and I cut my eyes at him.
“Fuck outta here, Zayne. Camille got me pissed because she’s ignoring me.”
“That’s what it is. What you do to her? Didn’t I warn you not to fuck up?”
“I didn’t though I was being nice as fuck to her little ass. Letting her sleep in my bed, punching on niggas for her and I let her hold my car and shit. I don’t deserve this kind of grief.”
Zayne laughed even though the shit really bothered me. Camille had me doing shit I never did before and had me painfully regretting it. “This good guy shit ain’t what it’s hitting for.”
“You're just not used to a woman like her. She’s not like the rest of them that’s at your beck and call and you may need to use a different approach. I don’t think she cares about how hard you can hit a nigga, and how fast your car is. Camille has a brain she actually uses.”
“She was with that nigga, Josh, I ain’t trying to hear none of that you was talking.”
“Making a mistake doesn’t make you stupid; only if you repeat the same shit over and over again then maybe you’re are. It’s clear that she’s not because she’s not giving your ass a chance,” he continued to crack jokes, and I handed him back the blunt so he can shut the fuck up.
“I think it’s Nina’s fault.”
“I heard all about it. If shawty knows what’s good for her next time, she won’t be walking away. That shit pissed KeKe off.”
“And Camille obviously. I ain’t fuck that girl in days, so she’s on one.”
“Like I said if you want Camille forgiveness and attention try a different approach. Take her out on a date. Buy her flowers, take advantage of getting to know her at her own pace instead of throwing yourself on her.”
