Planet of Peace Page 11

ADeath and rebirth isn’t necessary here, but Dossian brains do cause their bodies to age. Brains eventually fill with unresolved issues and vibrations. The body responds by showing wear because it mirrors the brain. When the body stops responding, the people go to a rejuvenation chamber where they stay while their brain undergoes a renewal process. Once the process has been completed their whole body restores itself to a youthful appearance again. They don’t lose any of their knowledge in the process. Since they recognize the oneness of all mankind, and don’t isolate themselves from anyone else, their spirits and bodies don’t separate as they do on Earth.

When humans die their minds and spirits leave becoming part of mass consciousness. Here on Dos the body/brain, spirit/mind are all one, no separation.

The Orion System has several developed planets and inter-planetary travel is common. This planet is looked upon as the master planet, but the outlying planets are also a part of our culture. Each one has different energy causing the people to develop in different ways, much like the various races on your planet. All animals are domesticated and no meat is consumed. There’s no moon orbiting this planet and no lunar vibrations to threaten their emotional stability. That’s why they don’t know anger or rage they aren’t capable of those emotions, or equipped to handle them. There is no duality here, no love-hate relationships. They don’t categorize things as good and bad, or black and white. It isn’t necessary. Any form of destructive energy causes us to fade and disappear. It’s our defense mechanism.@ Jeff knew what John was talking about. He had experienced the effects of anger, and was learning how to protect himself against it. AThere are few children, and elders here. A child is measured by size and an elder by wisdom. Time is measured by a process of skin tone. When our bodies lose their pinkish glow and take on brownish/grey tones we go to the chambers. The people, who are natives here are hairless, have large eyes and small mouths. If I stay here permanently, I too will lose my hair over time.

They freely choose their professions. People work best when they are doing what they like to do. I’ve always liked history and am fascinated by the evolution of beings on this and other planets. Alternating between speech and telepathy is common. Words carry pictures of intent and are used to enhance the meaning, not as easily done with thought which is less specific. Much of what comes in thought can’t be interpreted with words, kind of like being bi-lingual.@

Jeff wanted to know why he was on the Earth. It had been hard for him to adjust to new ways of thinking and doing. AWhy did I go to Earth? It seems easier for me to continue my evolution here.@

“We had a High Council which met regularly at the Space Center, a satellite revolving around our planet. But it had to be moved to another section of the galaxy because of destructive energy seeping from Earth. You had finished your cycle here and were waiting for new challenges. You were not alone. Many other Dossian spirits joined you to assist in correcting a major flaw in evolution on Earth. It may be necessary for you to sever this link to Dos as it could create a conflict for you, keeping you from accomplishing what you went there to do. Take the wisdom from here and use it to change the future there.@ Jeff understood what he meant. Like a child always running to his mother for protection, he had to cut his ties and stand on his own two feet.

ARemember, Jeff, as a star child you are spirit first, body second. When your brain and body wear out you will die. You don’t have the rejuvenation gene in your body and Earth doesn’t have rejuvenation chambers. You will feel great sadness when the time comes to say good-bye. You will judge yourself because you couldn’t stay youthful. Don’t judge. The physical body isn’t that important.@

John continued. AThroughout history many spirits have journeyed to other planets and have worked with natives telepathically to help them resolve critical issues. As spirit guides they influence decisions. Even when they eventually come back to Dos these spirits continue to monitor and assist them.

People from Earth can’t live on Dos long term because they don’t have the ability to be in this atmosphere. If Earthlings wanted to live permanently on Dos they would have to take on the body of a native Dossian through a cloning process like I did. If a Dossian spirit should lose his body he would be cloned in a laboratory incubator.

They don’t take mates as is done on earth, but we can have intimate emotional relationships with all people and those we hold dear. There is no sex here, no need for procreation.@

Jeff reflected for a moment, ASo far, John, my life on Earth hasn’t provided me with sexual urges as it has my friends, but I would like that experience someday. Humans seem to find it very pleasurable.@

Jeff could feel himself being drawn back to Earth and said farewell to John expressing hope that he would see him again. He opened his eyes and was back in his bedroom. He thought he had better get some sleep as it was late.

The next morning the personnel manager at the Bell Foundation called Jeff, offering him the job. The manager suggested he come in to fill out the necessary papers, and get his schedule. He would go through a two week training period before any out-of-town assignments would be given him, and he would need a passport.

Jeff couldn’t wait to tell his mom about his new job at the Claudia Bell Foundation. He found her in the garden tending her flowers. AMom, I got the job! I’m going to be a liaison for the company traveling to other countries. What do you think,@ he asked?

She straightened up, wiped her brow, and leaned against the hoe. ASounds like a good job. I like the traveling part. You will get to see the world, and be working with charities. When do you start?@

ATomorrow,@ he replied stepping into the garden and taking the hoe away from her. AHere, let me help you. You look like you need a break. It’s hot out already.@

AThanks, I could use something to drink.@ She reached up, took off her straw hat and placed it on Jeff=s head. AHere you can wear this a while.@ Then she went into the house.

Jeff was sure he looked goofy but decided to humor her. About ten minutes later she was back with a glass of iced tea for him. AI have two weeks orientation starting tomorrow before I get my first assignment,@ he mentioned.

AWell, what about your trip to Bali with Sarina and her grandfather,@ she inquired? AAre you still going?@

AAs soon as I get my schedule I will be able to make plans with them.@ Taking off the hat he handed it back. Jeff did the remainder of the hoeing and she trimmed off dead flowers and leaves. When it was finished they stood back and admired their work.

That night Jeff=s brother Kevin and his wife came over for dinner. They sat around the table after the meal discussing Jeff=s new occupation. Later Kevin=s wife helped Mrs. Martin with the cleanup as the men talked about work. His dad and Kevin both gave him pointers on what was expected on the job and how to get ahead. Kevin excused himself and went to his car. Shortly he was back with a box containing a briefcase. AHere,@ he said giving it to Jeff. AWe missed your graduation. Now that you are working you will need something to hold your PC and important papers. Hope you like it.@ Jeff was surprised and pleased. Now when he traveled he would have something to protect his computer. They left about nine and Jeff decided to turn in early. Tomorrow was the first work day of the rest of his life.

The next morning he woke before the alarm went off. He quickly dressed, ate breakfast and left early. The traffic was horrendous this early in the morning making him wonder why he even used a car. Maybe he would just teleport himself from now on. When he arrived at his office a woman about his mother=s age and stature met him at the entrance. Clear skies and a bright sun heated the morning air, and Jeff was glad to be working indoors. The woman introduced herself, AI’m Helen. You and I will be working together on various assignments. We share an office,@ she explained as they walked down the hall. AOur job is in the field. We are the liaison between the various organizations we serve and the Bel
l Foundation. We make sure money goes as intended, and investigate new organizations applying for assistance. Have you applied for your passport yet?@

ANo, I was told to wait until today. Personnel said I could get my picture taken here and express my application from here.@

AOkay, go upstairs to the Personnel Office, and they will take your picture. It’s on the right at the front of the building. When you are finished I’ll introduce you to the rest of the staff.@

Lillian greeted him in Personnel. She was a petite, friendly woman with a pleasant smile, courteous, and a bit chatty. AI’m here to have my picture taken for my passport,@ he explained.

ASure stand over there.@ In less than a minute he was finished. They exchanged pleasantries and she welcomed him on board, telling him how much she enjoyed the Foundation these last three years.

In his new office Helen had made herself a cup of tea and offered one to Jeff when he entered. His desk had been vacated by a gentleman who had married and moved out of state. Happy to finally have a replacement, she was flying out almost every week to a new location, and needed time with her children who were growing up without her. AI’m happy to finally have someone to share the responsibility of this office with me. We are going to spend the week here while I bring you up to speed on our operation. Were you given a manual of your job description,@ she asked?

AI was given an introduction but not a manual. Is that the same?@

ANo. Here you can use Richard=s manual. He turned it in when he left. I’d suggest you become familiar with it as soon as possible. A week from Wednesday you’ll be flying out on your first assignment. I’ll be accompanying you on that one, but from there on you will be on your own. Your assignments will be limited to state side until you get your passport. After that we will alternate trips. On difficult ones we’ll travel together. Now, let me introduce you to the rest of the people here. Then we can go to lunch to get better acquainted.@ She headed towards the door and Jeff followed.

Work went well the first few days. In the evenings Jeff enthusiastically discussed facets of his new job with his mom and dad. They were happy he had found such an ideal place to work. One evening his mom asked. ADon’t you miss helping out at the Soup Kitchen, Jeff.@

AYes, I do. I felt needed and appreciated there. I want to go visit my friends some afternoon, but now I need to concentrate on my job. Next week we are going to New York City to investigate an indigent care facility. Helen says it’s routine and it’ll give me an opportunity to see how the system works.@

AHave you talked to any of your friends this week,@ his dad asked?

ANo, I should call them. I’ve been too wrapped up in work to think of anything else.@ Sarina and I will probably go to our favorite hangout Friday night. He gave her a call and they made plans to meet.

At work on Thursday, Helen and Jeff were just getting ready for lunch when they heard a loud thud and an auto horn went off. Looking out the window they saw an accident at the entrance of the complex. Everyone in the building ran to the curb wanting to see what happened. A familiar woman lay lifeless on the blood-stained pavement. ADo you know the woman,@ he asked Helen?

AIt=s Lillian in Personnel,@ she replied solemnly. Just then the police came and threw a sheet over her body. Everyone from the office went into shock from this gruesome tragedy. She was well liked by all. Quietly, Jeff stepped back under a tree and sent his energy to the corpse, enfolding her in it, seeing perfection in the one called Lillian, watching the energy mend each wound and discoloration of the tissue. He saw her as she was immediately before it happened. Fortunately no one interfered allowing him to complete the procedure. When he was finished he felt weak and went back into the building.

Helen joined him shortly thereafter, her eyes glistening with excitement. AJeff, you won’t believe what happened. You left too soon. The ambulance came to take Lillian=s body, and when they took the sheet off there were no blood stains and no injuries. She wasn’t even bruised, just lying there sleeping. I can’t believe it. It is a miracle!@

AOh, I’m so happy for her,@ Jeff exclaimed. ADo you believe in miracles Helen?@

AI do now. I know what I saw and I can’t explain it any other way,@ she replied trying to catch her breath. AWhen something like this happens it affirms my belief in God, and I know that I’m where I belong, helping to make a better life for people.@ She was too excited to sit down and left the office to talk to others who were just as excited. They were beginning to doubt that she was hurt at all, just shaken up. Shortly Helen was back suggesting they go to lunch. All this excitement made her hungry.

Jeff hadn’t talked to Bobby all week. He called him when he got home from work on Friday, but the operator said the phone had been disconnected. He tried Bobby=s cell phone, but it was turned off. Then he remembered Bobby didn’t have it with him. Instantly he knew something wasn’t right and transported himself to Heidi=s apartment, ringing the door bell waiting impatiently for someone to answer. Concerned, he peered into the window next to the door, and the place was empty, not a stick of furniture. He made his way to the manager’s office and rang the bell. A pudgy middle-aged man appeared. AHeidi moved out yesterday. Movers came and got everything. She paid through the end of the month and didn’t even want her deposit. Nice girl, but very quiet.@

ADo you know where she moved,@ Jeff asked?

ANo, she left no forwarding address. Kind of odd though, she and her friend acted like they couldn’t wait to leave,@ the landlord replied.

Jeff teleported himself back home and walked up the street to the Ferris residence. Bobby=s mom came to the door. Trying to act as though it was a casual visit he inquired if she knew where Bobby went.@

AFor the record I haven’t seen my son for over a week,@ she replied. AHe and Heidi have left town. That’s all I know.@

ADid they say how long they would be gone or where they went,@ Jeff asked?

AJeff, don’t pressure me on this. When Bobby wants to contact you, he’ll call. Until then I don=t have any more information to give you.@ He could see she felt uneasy. Thanking her he left and walked back home.

Later that evening he told Sarina about Bobby and Heidi while at their local hangout. They sat in a quiet corner away from the blaring music discussing their disappearance. AI don’t like this,@ she remarked. AI keep getting these weird feelings of disaster, for them, and for you. All week I’ve been concerned that something is about to happen, and they are all part of a puzzle I can’t fit together. I think those two left town to avoid being arrested or killed.@

AIt’s my fault.@ Jeff was beginning to blame himself for Bobby=s situation. AIf he just wasn’t so loyal to me, if he hadn’t tried to find out about the AIA he would be just fine now. Instead he was on the run, looking over his shoulder and wondering if someone was coming after him.@

Sarina picked up on his mood. AJeff, don’t take on the blame. We’ve all come together as friends, and are working towards a goal none of us understand. Yet we are willing to do whatever is necessary to accomplish it, even if that means losing our lives. I’m sure this is part of a divine plan.@

She is so wise, he thought. All of a sudden he realized Sarina was maturing and not that little girl who used to follow him around when the families got together. He was beginning to see her in a different light. Changing the subject, AI will be off the first two weeks in August and will have my passport by then if you want to plan our trip to Bali,@ he suggested.

AGreat, I will tell Grandpa to get the tickets and we’ll start planning. We need to get away,@ she remarked eyes lighting up. She was finally going to get her wish, to have Jeff on a tropical island all to herself. A smile crept across her face. ALet=s boogie,@ she said grabbing his arm and steering him to the dance floor.

In a foreign country at a small café beside a river running through tow
n Heidi and Bobby sat enjoying their breakfast. They heard a friendly voice and looked up to see Jeff approaching.

AHow did you find us?@ A surprised Bobby queried. Heidi was shocked to see anyone they knew after they had spent so much time concealing their departure.

Heidi wondered, ‘How could this be. Had Bobby secretly contacted him?’ AYeah, how did you find us,@ she asked?

AMay I sit down?@ Jeff requested as they moved their newspapers giving him space at their table. AMaybe I shouldn’t have come, but I was concerned and wanted to make sure you two were alright. Disappearing like you did, I thought something tragic happened to you.@

AYou haven’t answered my question,@ Heidi replied.

AWell, it was a first for me, but I know Bobby=s energy signature from all the years we have known each other. I just honed in on his energy. No two people have exactly the same energy, so wherever the person is I can find them. It is like a magnet. I set my mind magnet on Bobby and here I am.@ He made it sound so simple. Jeff could see she was getting agitated, but he hoped she would understand his concern. Then her demeanor changed.

ABobby and I don’t want you here. We want to be left alone. Please respect our wishes. Don’t intrude on us any more,@ she emphatically stated.

It threw Jeff off guard. He hadn’t expected to be rebuked like this. Bobby was his best friend, now he is off limits to him. He looked questioningly at Bobby. AIs this what you want?@ Bobby kept silent.

Heidi continued. AIt’s because of you we had to leave town. It was your star child actions and Bobby=s loyalty to you that got him into trouble in the first place. It’s made it difficult for us to live our lives in peace. We don’t want you here.@

Jeff felt betrayed by his friend. Bobby allowed this woman to come between them. Why? AI’m sorry you feel that way. I only had the best of intentions to make sure you were both okay. By the way what are you going to do here?@

Bobby had sat quietly during Heidi=s ranting. He didn’t want to lose Jeff=s friendship as he had felt secure having him in his life, but he was with Heidi now. He hoped she wouldn’t drive a wedge between them. He would have to put her first in his life. AI’m going to freelance on computers, help people establish web sites and the like, and Heidi is going to work for a charity. For the time being our folks are helping us.@
