The Torment Page 10

by Anthony Hains

Out of the corner of her eye, Lacey saw a teenager coming closer. Trevor’s expression darkened, and he let go of his mother and moved away.

Lacey turned to the girl and froze.

Rich blond hair, green eyes, and a blazing smile.

  “This is our daughter, Rhona.”

She’s always lived in town in one form or another. She can appear to be any age, and she tries to trick people into the Kingdom.

  “Nice to see you, Sheriff.”
