A Dangerous Love 6: A Thug's Heart Page 13

by J Peach

Blaze started laughing at me once again. “It’s yours, Peaches.”

Getting out the front seat, I threw myself at him. “Damn, if I knew yo ass would’ve been this excited, I would’ve done this shit a long time ago,” Blaze said, hugging me back.

Laughing, I got off of him. “Do y’all see this? Ah! Bitches, we’re rolling in this tonight! Ah!” My girls started laughing at my overly excited reaction. I walked around the truck still in disbelief.

I just looked over it. Until I got to the front and something caught my eyes, making me stop. “Really, Blaze?” I couldn’t even find it in me to be mad. Mrs. Carter is what the front of the black plate read in purple letters. “Does that say—”

“Blaze’s Bitch. Yep, it says just that.” Angel read the bottom half, laughing.

Turning toward Blaze, I laughed. “You know that’s coming off, right?”

“So, you gon’ keep it?” Blaze asked. I looked at his ass like he was dumb.

“Hell yeah, I’m keeping it. What type of question is that?” I know what I said about not taking shit from people but hell I was keeping this. “I can’t believe you got me a truck.” I squeaked out again.

“I can’t believe that shit either. Hell, I birth the nigga and his ass ain’t got me shit like this. I’m kind of jealous, Boon.” Bianca stated with a slight mug as she stared at Blaze.

  “Ma, don’t start—”

“Nigga, you started it when you brought her a Mercedes.” She fussed at him.

Laughing at Bianca, I was about to get in the truck.

“Hold up, Peach. I ain’t know B was getting you a ride. Here,” he tossed something toward me and I caught it, looking down I squeaked again.

“Y’all are about to give me heart attack, King, fo’real?” As I pressed the keypad, headlights flashed and I ran to my brother hugging him. “King? No! Ah! King!” I didn’t know how to act as I ran to the shiny white 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser with the white and purple Asanti rims parked right next to the black Mercedes Blaze bought.

Opening the driver door, I looked in the inside.

“I love this!” The inside was just as the black truck but instead of black everything it was decorated in white and purple. “I can’t wait to drive this! I swear I love the both of y’all.” Laughing, my fingers swiped at my cheeks, trying to catch the tears as they fell. “Y’all get on my damn nerves.” I laughed, trying to stop myself from crying.

“Peach, I told you once you graduated I was gon’ get you another car. So, yo ass should’ve expected this,” King said, hugging me.

  “Well, I didn’t.”

“I agree with Mom B. I been fuckin’ and suckin’ this triflin’ ass nigga for the past eight years and all I got out of that shit was a funky ass Charger—” Ebony started but King cut her off.

“Shut yo lying ass up, yo! You had four cars and a house. What the fuck you talkin’ ‘bout?” King snapped at her.

Ebony sucked her teeth, cocked her hip to the side and folded her arms over her chest.

“Nigga, three of those fuckin’ cars yo ass set on fire, so what are you talkin’ about?” Everybody looked at King waiting on his reply. He couldn’t really deny it because five of us knew what she said was true.

“Girl, yo ass stupid. For every car his stupid ass burnt that would be another truck of his you’d get. He wanted you to suck and fuck then his ass would be buying you two more cars to replace that one plus something else. Y’all new age women is just down right dumb. See momma gon’ teach y’all something about these triflin’ ass niggas. Look at Peaches. She stopped giving Boon pussy and that nigga done bought her a Mercedes, roses and got his black ass out here in a suit. Pussy is a powerful weapon.”

The girls and I shared a look.

“Pussy is what made his ass do it.” Missy whispered to us and I hit her.

Whereas both Blaze and King groaned.

“Ma, stop damn,” Blaze said, looking at his momma like he wanted to hit her.

“Yeah, momma, I don’t wanna hear about Peaches giving shit away or you tryna put ideas in their heads,” King told her.

Bianca paid neither of them any mind. “See, I’m about to put y’all on to some real shit. Come home with me. Boon, Peaches y’all go have fun. Wait. Which car you taking?” Bianca asked, confusing me.

“Um I don’t know. Where we going?” I asked completely lost.

“I was taking you to dinner but my momma talk too damn much,” Blaze said, mugging his mom who rolled her eyes. “Would you go to dinner with me?”

  Smiling, I nodded yes.

“Power of the pussy.” Bianca whispered to the girls loudly making them laugh.

“No this not all about pussy, Boon’s in love—”

“Ma, fo’real, shut the fuck up. Damn!” Blaze finally snapped at her.

Bianca looked at him like he was crazy. “Boy, don’t get yo ass whooped out here. Yo black ass ain’t never too grown.”

I can’t blame Blaze for snapping at her, Bianca’s ass was kind of embarrassing.

“Blaze, let’s go before you get a whooping. Kimmy can you drive the truck to my house—”

Bianca cut me off. “I’ll drive it.”

“No, you won’t. Momma, I love you but I’ve seen you drive. You will never get behind the wheel of anything I drive, sorry.” Outda all my girls, Kimmy was the only one I knew that could really drive.”

“Peach, she gotda drive. We got our own ride,” Blaze said, pointing to a limo that was pulling into the parking lot.

Now I was really stunned. He was going out of the way to impress me. He was actually about to take me out.

“Is this like a date?” I asked slowly as that giddy feeling returned.

I was excited. I no longer cared that Bianca would have to drive one of my trucks.

“Yeah, a date. You gon’ take that off?” Blaze asked, pointing to my gown. Humming my response, I unzipped the gown. Taking it off, I handed it to Kimmy. “Damn!” Blaze eyes roamed over the short purple one draped sleeve mini dress I wore. “Shid, I don’t know about dinner. How the hell am I supposed to sit across from you dressed like that?” Blaze asked, making me laugh.

“So, I take that as you like the dress?” I asked doing a little turn.

“Yeah, I do. You looking thick as fuck, yo.” My mouth parted at that. “You look good, though. Yo hips done got wide. Yo ass sticking out,” Blaze explained, rubbing my hips before grabbing a handful of my booty.

“Blaze, gon’ somewhere.” I pushed him away from me before I walked over to the truck he bought me, getting my roses.

“We were just saying that. Her ass looks like she’s about to burst out that damn dress,” Ebony joked, making me roll my eyes.

“Fuck y’all. I have not gotten big.”

“Shid, look at yo titties,” Blaze said, pinching my left breast.

Smacking my lips, I pushed away from him. “You know what? I don’t even wanna go no more. Fuck all y’all!” I snapped and Missy started laughing.

“Su hormonas de actuar nuevo?” {Your hormones acting up again?} Missy spoke with excitement, which made me roll my eyes.

“Cabrona cierra la boca con tu implicaciones estúpidos porque no lo estoy.” {Bitch, shut the fuck up with yo stupid ass implications because I’m not.} I snapped at Missy. That wasn’t the first time her ass done came to me with that shit. She was starting to piss me the fuck off.

“Si no es así ¿por qué se enoja?” {If not, why get mad?} she asked smiling.

“Debido a que usted está actuando como una perra, es por eso estúpido.” {Because you’re acting like a bitch, that’s why, stupid.} She laughed more.

  “Estúpido, en serio? Qué somos, cinco?” {Stupid, really? What are we, five?}

“Missy leave her the alone. Yo ass acting five. Shut the fuck up. Damn!” Ebony told her, making Missy stick up her middle finger.

“Well, can somebody tell me what was said?” Bianca looked around confused. The girls shrugged as did Kin
g and Blaze.

“I don’t speak that shit. They talk that when they asses don’t want you to know what’s going on. They asses been doing it for years,” King explained.

“Se podría pensar su estúpido culo se habría cogido en por ahora.” {You’d think his stupid ass would have caught on by now.} Angel replied, making us laugh.

“I’m sorry, okay. I was only messing with you. I’ll stop. I promise, sensitive ass bitch.” Missy mumbled the last bit, laughing I pushed her away from me.

“You ready to go?” Blaze asked, nodding toward the limo. I took his hand.

“Yeah, sorry those bitches crazy. So, where you taking me?” I asked. Looking at his watch, Blaze cussed under his breath. “What?”

“We gon’ be late,” he said while opening the door for me.

Before I got in, I turned to yell at King. “Don’t let Bianca drive any one of my trucks.”

Blaze pushed me from behind laughing. “Man, get yo ass in. You childish as hell for that. Don’t be playing my moms.”

“I don’t give a damn. Yo momma cannot drive and her ass not driving any one of my new babies.” Grabbing my arm, Blaze pulled me closer to him. Without saying a word, his hand gripped the back of my neck.

He kissed me. My lips parted and I began kissing him back. His tongue slid through my parted lips as his head tilted to the side.

He soon grabbed my right thigh placing it on top of his legs then letting his hand slide up, reaching the hem of my dress. Grabbing his wrist, I stopped his hand from slipping under then I pulled back from the kiss.

If it wasn’t for the fact we were going to a restaurant and I was certain I would look a complete mess once we were done, I wouldn’t have stopped him. Especially, after the other night.

“Blaze.” Pulling his wrist from my grasp, he moved my leg off him.

“Blake asked about you this morning.” He surprised me by not pushing the issue that I made him stop.

I was expecting him to snap about me playing or whatnot but he didn’t. A heavy breath slipped through my lips as I tried controlling my overheated body.

“Oh, why didn’t you have him call me?”

He gave me a blank stare before looking away from me.

“You should’ve stayed over and he wouldn’t have to ask or throw a fit when I tell him you ain’t coming over.”

“Blaze, don’t you do that. You could’ve called me this morning or any morning he asks about me. I have no problem talking to Blake or coming to get him. I’m just not going to be confined to your apartment like you’re expecting me to be. B, we’re not together and there’s no reason to make Blake think otherwise. So, why didn’t you have him call me?” I asked again.

Blaze thought he was slick. I got why he put my name on Blake’s birth certificate. He also thought he was going to have his way, controlling me by using Blake but it wasn’t going to happen.

“Was you alone that I could’ve?” Blaze questioned.

I smacked my lips and didn’t reply.

“So yo ass ain’t gon’ answer?”

Looking at him, I just shook my head. “I’m not about to argue with you, Blaze. Whether I was alone or not doesn’t matter. If Blake wants to talk to me, then have him call. If he wants to come over, I’ll come get him. Blaze, what else do you want me to do? I can’t nor won’t put my life on hold because it’s not to your liking. If I wasn’t alone at the time he called, becoming available for him wouldn’t have been a problem.”

I knew he was mad that I went to help Jerron move from his house back to his apartment in the city after he told me to stay away from him, but I couldn’t abandon him after he just found out about his kid.

And by the time we had finished packing up the house, it was late and I fell asleep at his apartment. Of course, I told Blaze so he wouldn’t worry but that only seemed to piss him.

I knew he didn’t want me around Jerron but regardless of what he thought, Jerron would never hurt me, no matter how the situation may look right now.

  Chapter 16

  Peaches

Blaze didn’t say anything back at first. I muffed him bringing his attention back to me. “If this is the reason you asked me out, so we can argue, then pull over and I’ll walk my ass home.” When he didn’t say anything, I slid to the other seat. I was about to make my way to the rolled up window to get the driver’s attention.

“Peaches, get yo ass back here. N’all, that ain’t the reason I asked you to come. I wanted to do something with you is why. Look I’m sorry—”

A laugh slipped through my lips, cutting Blaze off. “You are so damn predictable, I swear. Blaze, I know you can’t help your ways but baby I’m not a puppet, you can’t control me. And you’re definitely not going to use little B to try to do so. On certain days, I’ll stay over like I did the day before. On others, Blake can stay with me at the house. With me just finishing school and being jobless, he can spend more time at the house with me while you do what you have to or you can come stay the night at mine. That option is always open as well. I have two extra bedrooms. There are other options then me staying at yours,” I explained, sitting next to him once again and crossing my legs.

“I’ight, whatever you say,” was his reply. Again shocking me.

“That’s it?” I asked unable to hide how surprised I was from his simple answer. I was expecting him to put up some sort of fight.

“Yeah, you don’t wanna argue and if I say otherwise, we’ll end up doing just that only to have you win anyways.” Folding my arms under my chest, I sat back staring at him. “Why the fuck you looking at me like that?” His chuckle made my brows rise higher.

“I just wasn’t expecting that reply, is all.” I told him my honest thoughts.

Blaze hummed, nodding his head. “Peaches, I told you I’m serious about making shit right. Not all conversations gon’ be easy like this and we gon’ fight but I’m trying.”

It was so surreal hearing and seeing Blaze like that, slightly calm but nervous. It was cute, sexy even.

“There’s a fair tomorrow out in Indy. Tomorrow’s the last day. I was going to ask the girls to go, but maybe you’d like to come with Blake and I. I promised him last night we’d do something. It was a two hour drive but I thought it’d be nice. Y’all could bond some more, so…” I trailed off, realizing he wasn’t paying me any attention. I slapped my palm to his forehead. “Blaze? Really?”

Laughing, he rubbed his head. “I heard you, we can do that. Shid, little dude be ignoring my ass unless he hungry or asking about you. Other than that, he stay to himself. He does the same shit with my moms and Britt too.”

“Blaze, it’s only been a few days. Give him some time and stop looking at my titties. Damn! You’re making them feel uncomfortable.” Unintentionally, I pulled the top of my dress up. Seeing that, Blaze laughed.

“So, what Lips was talking about? You got something to tell me?” He asked, giving me a once over. Not responding, he continued to go on. “I mean yo ass over there looking thick as hell.”

“Blaze, don’t start that shit. No, I ain’t got shit to tell you. Missy ass is just a melodramatic bitch, that’s it. I am not pregnant, so gon’ somewhere with that. I just came off my period last week.” I stated matter of factly with a roll of my eyes.

“Okay, put yo guns away, killa, I was just asking. I mean hearing Lips talking and seeing you get pissed, I figured I got another little B on the way.”

Biting into my lower lips, I mugged Blaze hard while making a mental note to kill Missy’s big lip ass. “Well, you don’t. Blaze, gon’.”

Laughing, Blaze pulled me into his lap. “Damn, you really mad, though? If it ain’t true why you getting pissed?” My head quickly snapped toward him and he burst out laughing. “Shid, ain’t that what you told me? If ain’t no truth to it then why get pissed? Huh?” He hummed with his face pushing toward mine as he did.

“I ain’t mad. Well, it’s kind of annoying as hell and embarrassing to have somebody constantly na
g you about that after repeatedly saying you’re not, then to start implying that shit in front of folks ain’t cool.” I wasn’t pregnant and I was so tired of having to say I wasn’t.

“Damn don’t sugarcoat how you don’t wanna have my baby, shid.”

Staring at him, I let out a laugh. “I’m not sugarcoating shit.”

“I know that’s what I’m saying.” He replied before he licked his lips, his eyes slanting slightly. “You don’t wanna have my baby?”

Laughing, I got off his lap. “Hell no! Nigga, please, I’m not pushing out no damn babies. I’m not thinking about having none until I’m thirty-five with a career. Plus, I’m planning on signing up for school again.”

“Who you tryna convince? Me or you? Yo ass keep saying no so you can be talked into having my shorty then, huh?” Blaze asked.

I looked at him like he was crazy before I turned away from him to the black tinted window. I wanted to get the attention of the driver but I didn’t know who I was calling for, so I called both.

“Excuse me, sir, ma’am, can you let me out here and drive this man to the nearest mental institute, please!” Blaze pushed me and I started laughing. “Gon’, Blaze.”

“Man, yo ass stupid. Yo ass gon’ pop one out before thirty-five I promise you that shit. I’ll give you until, let’s say, twenty-eight and by the time you turn thirty-five, we’ll be on our seventh.”

That nigga done lost his damn mind. What the fuck was he thinking? A kid once a year until I’m thirty-five.

“Sir, ma’am, this is serious! He’s lost his damn mind. Tell them to have a straightjacket, needles, hell a taser ready because his big ass gon’ put up a fight!” Again, Blaze pushed me before grabbing and jerking me toward him.

“Shut the fuck up. Yo ass gon’ be right there with my ass. You ain’t wrapped tight either, stupid ass,” Blaze said, making me laugh.
