This year alone had been a crazy year for me. With the drama, with Blaze, that Krystal bitch, Le’Ron, just everything.
I really needed to be by myself and just focus on Blake, myself and my career.
And I was going to do just that.
I knew without question that I loved Blaze with everything in me and I wanted nothing more than to be with him but now just wasn’t our time, so I had to let him go. If we were meant to be, then we would most definitely find our way back to each other in time. But from here on out, Blake, myself and my career were going to be my only focus.
Even with those as my priorities didn’t mean I couldn’t have fun with Blaze when need be. With that thought my attention went back to him. A smile came to my lips as Blaze bit into my cheek.
“Stop. You slobbing all over me.” My eyes rolled before my lips puckered. Blaze leaned into me, taking both my top and bottom lips into his closed mouth and licking them. I pushed him away from me. “You are so damn nasty. Ugh!” I burst out laughing while wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.
“You love that shit. Stop frontin’.” He smiled a half smile.
“I don’t.”
“Come here.” He didn’t give me a chance to respond as he pulled me on top of him. His hands grabbed my booty. “You gon’ ride?”
Again I laughed, “Blaze stop, kids are out here.”
“Ain’t nobody even watching—”
My lips covered his, shutting him up. He caught on and laughed as he tangled his hand into my hair. Blaze’s head tilted to the side as his deepened the kiss. With one hand in my hair and the other on my ass, his grip on both tightened as we began to lose ourselves in the kiss.
The kiss was soon interrupted as Blaze’s phone went off. A groan left my mouth at the sudden interruption. When the phone stopped, Blaze’s hand slipped under my shirt.
A small laugh escaped as his hand came to the hooks of my bra before moving back to my butt. Blaze grabbed a handful of my cheeks, squeezing hard on my ass.
I bit into his lips as a moan sounded in the back of my throat. I pulled from the kiss and licked his bottom lip. “You better stop,” I mumbled, giving him a peck.
Blaze let out a hum as he slapped my ass again. “Am I gon’ get in trouble if I don’t stop?”
I smiled at that but my smile faded as his phone went off again. “Answer it.” I kissed him again before burying my head into the side of his neck.
“Yeah,” Blaze answered before suddenly sitting up. “Who the fuck is this?”
The hostility in his voice caused me to sit up with him.
“Bae, who is that?” I whispered, trying to hear what was being said. But Blaze moved me off of him as he snapped his fingers toward Blake. Without having to be told what to do, I went straight to Blake. Leaving the blanket and duffle bag with the extra sandwiches, I grabbed Cherry’s leash and met up with Blaze by the truck.
“What the fuck?” Blaze snapped.
“B, what’s going on?” The nervousness in my body caused my voice to shake slightly. I was unable to hide the sudden anxiousness I was feeling.
“Who the fuck is this?” he asked.
Now I was getting pissed because Blaze wasn’t telling me what was going on.
“Hello?” He raised his voice higher as he asked again moments before he strangely looked at the receiver, hanging it up.
“B, what’s going on?”
“I don’t know and I don’t know who the fuck that was. They only said I better enjoy myself because this isn’t gon’ last long.” He angrily stated as he texted on his phone.
“What does that mean?” I knew it was most definitely a threat. But what wasn’t going to last long? His life?
“Peaches, how in the fuck am I supposed to know?” He snapped at me. I didn’t respond to his anger because I knew it wasn’t directed toward me. It was done only out of frustration. “I’m about to drop y’all off at the house, I have a few runs to make,” he said, speeding out of the parking lot.

The whole ride to my side of town was quiet and no matter how much I tried I couldn’t shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen. That eerie suspicion had me not wanting to leave Blaze at all but we were seconds away from going our separate ways because we were a block away from my house.
“Blaze, be careful out here okay. Don’t do nothing stupid.” We pulled in front of the house and I pressed the garage button on the remote to open the door.
“I’mma be good, you just don’t leave the house until you hear from me. I’ight,” he leaned over the seat and pressed his lips to mine.
“I won’t. Just make sure you come here when you’re done. Don’t be long.” I couldn’t hide the worry no matter how hard I tried. It was strongly seeping into my voice as my body became jittery. Something just wasn’t right and I felt it. I just didn’t know what.
“I won’t be and I’mma take your truck. Y’all go ‘head.” He ushered us out but not before kissing me again.
Sighing, I got out of the truck and went to the back door to get Blake. Once I had him, I grabbed Cherry and headed up the driveway. Halfway there, I stopped to look at Blaze in my truck. I motioned for him to roll the window down.
“What’s up, Peach?”
“I love you.”
“I love you too, Peaches. Now go in the house.” He waved me on.
Typical Blaze. “Let the garage door down and, Blaze, don’t forget to be careful.” I didn’t want to go. I felt something was going to happen to him.
He nodded his head and clicked the button. The sound of the garage closing caused me to glance back, looking at him tearfully. As the metal door was making its way down, I heard Blaze call out for me.
“Come here, Peach,” Blaze beckoned me to him as he got out of the truck. I didn’t hesitate. With Blake on my hip, I ducked underneath the still closing garage door and hurried over to him. Once I made stood in front of him, I placed Blake on his feet and then wrapped my arms around his body. “Baby girl, don’t worry about me. I’mma be good. I promise you that.”
As soon as those words left his mouth, a loud boom sounded from behind us causing every car alarm to go off on the block. Blake let out an ear splitting scream as our bodies smacked against the truck.
My head then hit hard against the ground.
The last thing I saw before everything went black was my house in flames.
