“Oh fuck, that feels so good. Make love to me with your fingers. Yes.”
Kayleigh slid her fingers in and out while her tongue darted over the swollen, throbbing clit. Rebecca thrust her hips against her mouth as she came again, her body shuddered, and her hands grabbed at the sheets.
“Fuck, I love you.” Rebecca kept moving her hips against Kayleigh’s mouth while gasping for air. After a few moments her body relaxed and she flipped Kayleigh onto her back. “I need to make love to you, too,” Rebecca said as she searched out Kayleigh’s mouth and kissed her passionately. She quickly kissed her way down to Kayleigh’s wet center.
By now, Kayleigh was so hot that she could barely breathe. Rebecca’s tongue slid slowly over her clit, only for a few short seconds, and Kayleigh already felt herself building up to a massive release. Her hips thrust high as she gripped Rebecca’s head and held it between her legs. Rebecca pushed her tongue all the way inside Kayleigh and moved it in and out of her while she rubbed her clit between her thumb and forefinger.
“Oh, yes, don’t stop, baby. Yes, just like that,” she panted while Rebecca penetrated her with her tongue. “Fuck me, baby. I’m close. Oh yes! Fuck me! Please!”
Rebecca gained speed as Kayleigh convulsed underneath her. Kayleigh slashed and thrust wildly as she cried out with pleasure. Rebecca slowed her movement after a while and Kayleigh felt the pulsating fade. Then Rebecca kissed her on the inside of her legs and started slowly moving all the way up again, back to her mouth. Kayleigh kissed Rebecca and tasted herself on Rebecca’s lips.
They continued to pleasure one another until their bodies were spent. They each collapsed into the other’s arms and lay there in the dark, smiling at one another.
“And you were stressed I might dump you for your inexperience? Gosh, Kay, where did you learn all these things?” Rebecca was still out of breath.
Kayleigh slapped her lightly on the stomach. “I learned from the best.”

In the week that followed, Lindsay and Judy came over and helped them pack everything into boxes. Kayleigh contacted the same guys that helped her move the previous time and by the time the weekend arrived, it took them only a day to move into their new home. By Saturday evening, they were done moving Kayleigh and Sarah’s stuff to Rebecca’s house, and they could relax by the fireplace with Chinese take-out and a bottle of champagne. There were still some boxes that needed unpacking, but there was no rush.
“Just another week and Sarah’s coming home.” Kayleigh sighed after they’d made love in front of the fireplace. “Then we can’t make love all over the house anymore.”
Rebecca laughed. “There’s always camp.” She kissed Kayleigh on her forehead. ‘I love you more than life itself.”
“I love you, too,” Kayleigh said as she put her jersey back on. She turned to face Rebecca. “More than you know.”
“How about we get married then?” Rebecca whispered.
“Married?”
“Yes.” Rebecca looked serious as her eyes met Kayleigh’s eyes.
“Imagine that.” Kayleigh said, incredulous. “Is that a proposal?”
Rebecca also sat up and took Kayleigh’s hands into her own. “I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Let’s get married.”
Kayleigh laughed. Rebecca was perfect. “I love you, too, and I can’t wait to grow old together. If we lived another hundred years, it would still not be enough time with you. Yes, let’s get married.”
Rebecca leaned and kissed her gently on the lips. “Let’s do the whole nine yards then. Big wedding, honeymoon, everything. I want it all. With you.”
“Are we really going to get married?” Kayleigh asked. “Two women? Is that even legal?”
“This is South Africa, honey. Of course it’s legal.”
Rebecca lay back down again, and pulled Kayleigh down with her. They slept in front of the fireplace, in their new home, both very content and happy.

The following Saturday, they drove to collect Sarah from the airport. She was excited to be back and had a whole photo album of her and her new baby brother, Marcus. All the way home, she talked non-stop. She kept chattering about how she helped bathe the baby and how she was sure the baby smiled at her once. She even got to watch how her stepmother breastfed the infant. Kayleigh felt a little tinge of jealousy at how much Sarah enjoyed it there.
At home, they unpacked all of Sarah’s new clothes and toys into Sarah’s new room. Sarah was thrilled with the move, just as Kayleigh hoped she would be. Kayleigh and Rebecca had hung her curtains, and Rebecca had bought Sarah her own music system for her room as a welcome to your new home gift.
A few days later, Kayleigh’s phone rang. When she answered it, her surprised, ‘Hello Martin’ got Rebecca’s attention. Kayleigh sat on the couch next to Rebecca, while talking, Rebecca whispered next to her, curiously, wanting to know what the call was about. Kayleigh motioned to her with her hand, trying to get Rebecca to be patient and quiet. After she hung up she told Rebecca, “The funeral is next week, on Wednesday. Just a small service and a quick burial. They’re burying her next to her mother.”
“Do they know how she died?” Rebecca asked.
“There were no signs of any injury, so the coroner thinks she died of dehydration. The trapdoor hatch was very heavy to lift and she was small. I think the door was too heavy for her to lift from the inside. Heaven knows whether she died of starvation, dehydration, or lack of oxygen. That room seemed pretty airtight to me. A pity her mother didn’t find that underground room when she searched all over for her. She spent all those years wondering what had happened to her child. I can’t even begin to imagine the suffering that woman endured.”
On Wednesday, the funeral was small, just as predicted. The only people who attended were Martin, his favorite nurse, Kayleigh, and Rebecca. Kayleigh had one of the photographs enlarged and framed for the funeral.
At the gravesite, as the matchbox of a coffin went down into the ground, Kayleigh looked up. About fifty yards away, between the trees, she saw Carrey. The little girl stood between a man and a woman. To her left was her mother, Catherine, to her right, her father, Joshua. All three were smiling. Joshua nodded in her direction right before the three of them turned and walked away, slowly fading into the distance, until Kayleigh could no longer see them. Tears welled in her eyes.
Rebecca gasped next to her. “Did you see that?” she whispered.
Kayleigh nodded. “I sure did.” She grasped Rebecca’s hand.
“They’re finally back together again. A family. Just like us.” Rebecca squeezed Kayleigh’s hand and smiled.
Kayleigh felt that smile reach deep inside and fill her heart. “Yes. Just like us.”
