“For what?”
“I know I’ll feel better after that. I’ve had the guilts ever since it happened.”
“As we spend more time together, I suspect you’ll share some other episodes you’ve been feeling guilty about. Am I right?”
“Yes, I think you are.”
“My poor little Kitten. I see many spankings in your future,” he said stroking her back.
“As long as they’re delivered by you,” she whispered lifting her head and looking up at him, “I know I’ll be purring after the sting wears off.”
EPILOGUE
As often happens in Hollywood, a negative was turned into a positive. The traumatic episode with Curtis Fielding was turned into a movie for television, and it was Kylie who made the suggestion during dinner a short time after the incident.
Sam had invited everyone who’d been a part of that fateful afternoon to break bread with him, and Kylie and Zach had been sitting next to him.
“Let’s develop what happened into a movie for HBO or Showtime,” she’d said enthusiastically. “Turn the lemons into lemonade. People love true stories, and with all the publicity it generated it’s a natural. We could call it something simple like, The Curtis Fielding Story, or we could shoot it from Angelo’s perspective. It’s not widely known he started as a bodyguard and a stuntman. He’s had some amazing experiences. Did you know he trained as a cop before deciding to become an actor?”
As much as Sam was initially against doing anything that would reward Curtis for the drama he’d put everyone through, he was a pragmatist. The money Curtis made wouldn’t just take care of his legal fees, but pay for the expensive rehab he promised to undergo.
Sam also knew if Titan produced the story, he could control how he and his company were portrayed, and it also allowed him to coordinate the release of the television movie to coincide with the theatrical release of Moonbeams and Fairy Dust.
After carefully weighing all the facts, and taking the emotion out of the decision, Sam realized it was a no-brainer.
Since it was Kylie’s brainchild she was offered the position of Executive Assistant to the woman who took over Curtis Fielding’s position as Head of Cable and Television Development, and though strictly supervised, Kylie would be made the point person for the project. Though she was excited by the opportunity to prove herself, she accepted the job with the understanding that once the project was finished, she could return to feature development if she wanted to.
“If I hear of any bad behavior you’ll be up in my office and bent over my desk in a heartbeat,” Zach warned.
“You don’t have to worry,” Kylie promised. “I’m thrilled, but I do wish I was working with you.”
“I think it’s probably for the best. You may enjoy developing projects for TV and cable, but we can take another look at you joining my department later if you’re unhappy.”
“At least we’ll be in the same building every day.”
“Yes, we will, and I like that too,” he agreed. “It means I can keep my eye on you.”
“I will love that,” she sighed. “I will absolutely love it.”
Twelve Months Later
Cheering fans and paparazzi were crowded behind the thick, red, velvet rope that lined the path from the curb to the front of the movie theater. It was the Premiere of the much hailed, Moonbeams and Fairy Dust, and limousines were dropping off the A list celebrities who made up the Hollywood elite.
As Anna Lee Pickford and Angelo Frattiano stepped from their car, there was a roar from the crowd and cameras began taking pictures as the photographers jostled for position.
Looking regal and poised in a glittering black gown, Anna Lee had her arm looped through Angelo’s elbow as she made her way slowly up the red carpet. As handsome as ever, dressed in a black tuxedo with a red bow tie and a matching cummerbund, Angelo Frattiano flashed his winning smile at the fans.
“How are you, Anna?” he whispered as they neared the doors of the theatre.
“This is the most amazing night of my life,” she breathed looking up at him, “but I don’t how I’m supposed to sit for the next two hours.”
Underneath her sparkling dress Anna Lee had a very red backside. On the drive to the Premiere, Angelo had closed the privacy screen, pulled her across his lap, and spanked her with gusto for several minutes. They both knew it would calm her frazzled nerves, but it would also remind her not to be flirtatious, a habit she had recently developed.
“You can smile and chat, but none of that touchy feely stuff,” he’d warned.
As they walked into the lobby they were immediately greeted by Kylie and her father.
“Anna, you look like the star you are,” Kylie declared kissing her on the cheek.
“Thank you,” Anna blushed.
“You two made a stunning couple,” Kylie continued. “How are you, Angelo?”
“Very well, every excited about this film.”
“It’s going to throw you both into the stratosphere,” Justin declared. “I hope you’re ready for it.”
“I think we’ll manage, won’t we, Anna?”
“Yes, as long as I have you with me I can manage anything,” she smiled. “Kylie, where’s Zach?”
“He got shanghaied,” she replied. “I see him over there, I think he wants me to rescue him. Excuse me.”
Zach was often waylaid by hopeful writers and agents wanting to give him a quick pitch. If he glanced in her direction and put his hand in his pocket it meant he wanted her to step in. Moving through the crowd she quickly reached his side, and smiling politely she broke into the conversation.
“I’m sorry to interrupt,” she apologized. “Zach, I need to tell you something. It’s rather urgent.”
“What is it?”
“You didn’t have to spank me quite so hard before we left,” she whispered in his ear.
“I see, I’d better handle this myself,” he muttered, pretending her message had been something important. “I’m sorry, John, I have to go, but call my office and we’ll set up an appointment.”
“Oh, right, thanks, Zach, I will,” the man nodded. “Thanks for your time.”
“Will you?” Kylie asked discreetly as they moved away.
“I said I would, so I have to, but I’m glad rescued me, and yes I did.”
“You did what?”
“Have to spank you as hard as I did,” he whispered. “I have to make sure you’re on your very best behavior tonight.”
“Because?”
“Because I have a surprise for you, and if you aren’t a very good girl I may change my mind.”
Kylie’s heart did a skip, and tugging on his arm she caught his eye.
“Are you going to keep me in suspense all night?”
“It’s not something I can give you in front of all these people.”
“Then let’s go find a quiet corner. Please, Zach, please? You know I won’t be able to relax until I know what it is. You know me. You know I’ll be a crazy person.”
“If you’re a crazy person, I’ll have to-”
“Don’t say it,” she interrupted.
She was gazing at him with such an earnest expression, he shook his head and smiled.
“Sometimes I know why your father spoiled you so much.”
“Why?”
“Because there are times it’s impossible to say no to you,” he said warmly, and taking her hand he led her up the stairs to the balcony.
With everyone still socializing in the lobby, the upstairs area was empty except for the mixologists preparing the bar. Leading her into the balcony seats, he took her to the far side in case any stragglers should wander in.
“What’s this about?” she said softly as they sat down. “You’ve got me totally-”
“Shush,” he said putting his finger against her lips. “Do you realize it’s been a year since we had our night at the Bel Air hotel?”
“I do,” she smiled. “In three days it will be a year exactly, and it�
�s been the best year of my life.”
“To commemorate the event,” he said reaching into his pocket, “I have decided to give you this. I hope you want it.”
She watched, enthralled, as he withdrew a black velvet drawstring bag. Feeling trembly, she took the bag, and reaching inside she felt something cold and solid.
“What is it?”
“Take it out and see for yourself,” he smiled.
As she took hold of it with her fingertips she had a sudden inkling, and pulse racing she slowly pulled it out.
“Is this what I think it is?” she breathed. “A key to your house?”
“It is,” he smiled.“I’m asking you to move in with me. Would you like to?”
“Well, duh, yeah, of course,” she exclaimed breaking into a huge smile.
“There’s something else,” he said softly, “something long overdue, something I’ve wanted to tell you for months.”
She knew what it was, and she held her breath as he stared at her.
“I’m sorry it’s taken me so long. Every time I started I guess I lost my nerve. Embarrassing but true.”
“Uh-huh,” she murmured.
“You know I care about you very much, but, uh, it’s more than that. Kylie, I’m in love with you, totally. There, I’ve said it.”
Though she tried to swallow the wave of emotion that was washing over her she wasn’t able to do it, and as she gazed back at him a single tear slipped from her eye.
“I’ve been in love with you forever,” she stammered. “I been waiting so long to hear you say those words.”
“Maybe I should say them again so you know you’re not dreaming,” he murmured as he wiped away her tear. “I love you. I love you with everything in me, and I cannot wait to share my house with you.”
“Me too,” she sighed, “and you know what I just realized? I’ve become my own person.”
“What do you mean?”
“My whole life I’ve been known as the director’s daughter. You changed that. You’ve changed me.”
“Not really, it’s the discipline that changed things for you, Kylie.”
“You’re right,” she nodded. “I was the director’s daughter who needed discipline.”
“Correction, you’re the director’s daughter who still needs discipline. That’s not going to change, not as long as I’m around, and I’m not going anywhere.”

Fabulous sequel to The Warrior and the Petulant Princess, the first warrior book. I was happy to see the Larian and Lizbett return (from the first book), but I simply loved the new characters, especially Darius, the hunky warrior with a hurting heart. Angelica (what a name!) is a mischievous witch. They're working together to help Darius back in his home of Zanderone.
Angelica is both naughty and vulnerable. As a witch, she thinks she can't have love in her life, but wants to meet Larian and Lizbett because she's heard they are madly in love - just what she wants to find! She wants to figure out how they do it. Angelica is happy but lonely - so she casts a spell so he will want to take her to bed (wouldn't you like to do just that!!). However, it didn't go perfectly.
The story is full of adventures, excitement and a real page turner. Don't figure on reading this one just before bed and expect to sleep! Erotic spanking, romance, passion and discipline fill the pages. This was terrific, and I really enjoyed it.

What is it about a British Dominant? Maybe it's just the superior way this author depicts them. I loved this read. The series is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and had been waiting for Act Two.
This book is a novel in every sense of the word. It has in-depth characters and a story line that holds your attention. It has action, it has twists and turns, it keeps you guessing, and it has tons of romance, sex and spanking. Like the Billionaire series which got me 'hooked', it also has elements of BDSM, with a light touch, just enough to make you wish you were Bratty Brittany. (Or Beautiful Brittany, as he calls her when she's a good gir!!!l). Honestly, it doesn't get much better than this. Fabulous read. Thanks again Maggie

I believe the author, Maggie Carpenter, has created an epically satisfying fantasy by incorporating a bit of her own personal experiences. As stated in her author bio she is fully immersed in the Dominant/Submissive lifestyle in real life. This isn’t a fantasy scribbled by a wanna-be erotica author, Maggie Carpenter is the real deal when it comes to the subject of Domination and Submission and crafts her writing in a way that delivers the psychological aspect of such relationships. I’m a fan!

I absolutely loved this book!! I couldn't put it down—at all. It was intriguing to hear about relationships, and D/s in particular, from a Dom's point of view. I loved the various women and how he dealt with their needs, desires, brattiness, controlling, or defiant behaviors. The dialogue was hot and the spanking and sex scenes were breath taking. Maggie Carpenter hits a home run again, and hats off to James Collier for this sexy, hot book.

I always enjoy reading about Cassie and Chad, they're like old friends and of course we can't forget Mickey. I love how she had Chad's horse showing in this book and Cassie's jumping. This book was HOT, hotter than the other ones I think, lots of sex and great spankings of course. Chad really helped bring out more of Cassie's submissive side in this one. Also the finally get married in this one! which is bittersweet because it probably means this is the end of their adventure. It was a fun ride!

I've been a fan of this author for a while, and grabbed this as soon as I saw it. It's a bit of a departure, not because of the subject matter, or even because of the characters, the Dom is as charming and wicked as ever, and the damsel truly willful, but because the story is strictly focused on the two of them. I've always enjoyed the lesser characters in her other books, but I didn't miss any subplots or second stars. There was so much of the sexy stuff, and spanking they weren't necessary. Just one note - and I won't be a spoiler - initially I thought the characters got into things rather quickly, and I thought, hmmm, not sure about that, but don't be fooled. Ms Carpenter knows what she's doing.

You can never go wrong with a Maggie Carpenter book! They are all just great and this one was no exception! I did have a little trouble getting into this one…Michael and Beth didn't meet until around 40% on my Kindle and it took me about three days to get that far, but man when they did, it picked up and so did I !!! I finished it in an hour or so! I would be sitting there reading and just smiling about the things they said to each and really feeling like you wanted to be her! It had more spankings after they meet than I thought it would. Even a friend of theirs met a guy and she got spanked. Loved the story, love Maggie Carpenter and it is a 5 star book!

Wow, this book is HOT. I loved the first one, and this one is HOT. There is a lot of sex and spanking, but I love how it all makes sense. All the sex and spankings flow with the story, and the chemistry between Chad and Cassie is dynamite. The other two characters, Marty and Hannah, really come into their own as well. I love Marty, he's like the big lumbering cowboy that can bear hug like no-one else, and you can really see him. I hope there's a Rules 3. (Hint, Hint). I'm thinking there might be the way this one ended. Great read. Truly great read.write a continuing story. A very happy read. Loved every page.
