Ravenous (Triskaidekaphilia Book 2)

"In the room—"
"No, here. Now." She yanked the trousers just low enough to expose his ample cock before wrapping one leg around him. "I need you inside me," she whispered directly into his ear.
"Let me see where he bit you."
She leaned to the side, exposing her neck.
"Did it hurt?"
"Who cares? It was… I… Don't talk. Just fuck me."
Kayson spun her around so she was facing the wall and kicked her feet apart as though he was about to frisk her. "This is what you want?"
"Yes. Please." She pushed her ass into his groin. Every inch of her body felt like it was wound tight enough to break. She needed him inside her this instant, this nanosecond, lest she lose control.
The head of his cock lightly touched her pussy lips, and she rammed herself back, entirely sheathing him in tight, wet heat in an instant.
The sensation of being filled to the brim sent her over the edge. Her pussy pulsed and gushed as she came. A sharp cry escaped her throat, and she began thrusting, bracing herself firmly against the wall. "More," she demanded. "Harder."
His firm cock slid rhythmically past her lips, in and out, in and out. On every in thrust he barreled forward, giving in to her repeated demands of harder, harder, harder.
She came twice more, her shouts of ecstasy ringing down the ship's corridors.
"Linna, I'm going to…" Kayson grunted.
"On my chest," she said, pulling away from him and dropping to her knees. She lifted her breasts in both hands, offering them to him.
Kayson fisted his glistening cock, using her juices to palm himself to completion. He let out a roar as thick streams of cum shot over her chest, pooling in her cleavage.
As he came, Linna noticed movement at the end of the hall. She glanced over just in time to see Virgil beating a hasty retreat.
Had he been watching?
Kayson stumbled backwards into the other wall, breathing heavily. "That was…"
"It's not over," Linna said wickedly. She ran her hand through the cum on her breasts. "Go find Virgil and have him bite you, too, love." Her sexual high didn't show any signs of abating. "I'll be in our room," she said. "Fingering myself while I wait."
After visiting the Star Falls, they landed on Isa, a planet famous for its singing air-jellies. The creatures jetted through the sky as surely as any jellyfish through water, creating a ghostly whistle as they went. A flock of them sounded like a pipe organ.
Virgil pointed out interesting land marks and related interesting facts, looking much more at home than he had when they first met. There was a twinkle in his eye, and fascination lifted the corners of his mouth into a smile. Clearly he adored the planet and seemingly everything on it.
At lunch time, they went to a maze-garden. A secluded grove, protected on all sides by tall hedges, provided a lovely picnicking spot. After the humans ate their fill, so did Virgil. Linna watched as he latched onto Kayson's neck from behind. Both men's bodies went taut, and Virgil locked his gaze with Linna's.
Kayson began fisting himself before Virgil was done eating. And when they switched positions, before the vampire even had a chance to bite her, Kayson dove beneath Linna's sundress. Through her white cotton panties he lapped at her mons but soon shoved the fabric aside to thrust his tongue deep inside her.
Her pussy gushed, and Virgil moaned—his venom was meant to make their blood hot and scrumptious, but the blood of human newlyweds naturally ran at a boil.
After feeding, Virgil quietly excused himself to stand guard so that Linna and Kayson could make love in private. "Unless you'd like me to watch?" he prompted.
She did—Linna wanted him to stare down at them while Kayson took her on the grass. The look of lust on Virgil's face was unmistakable, yet he employed exceptional control in expressing it. Beneath his composed exterior was a dark, sexual beast ready to tear them apart at a moment's consent.
"That's all right," she said dismissively. Everything in her ached as he spun away.
It was just as Chris had said—the trip was all beautiful places and fucking and scrumptious food and fucking and interesting histories and fucking.
But what he hadn't mentioned was the delightful company.
Once he'd grown accustomed to their presence, Virgil shook off his stoicism and revealed an intense interest in his client's personalities and lives. The three of them often stayed up late, sharing stories from their childhoods.
"I have six brothers and two sisters," Virgil told them while they lounged in front of a giant, faux fireplace on the ship. Linna and Kayson curled on the dark red rug together, while Virgil slumped lazily in a high-backed chair, eyeing them. "And one other sibling whose gender you have no word for."
"Are big families common where you come from?" Kayson asked.
Virgil laughed. "That's not a big family."
"What made you decided to come work for Palladian Excursions?" Linna asked, toying absently with the drawstring on Kayson's silk trousers.
"Similar reasons you had for signing up. I don't work for them, really. They're more of a… a matchmaking service. I wanted to travel, see new places, meet new people, eat new…" He trailed off.
"So, we're all just wandering vagabonds?" Kayson joked.
"My family doesn't approve," Virgil said. "Traditionally, we're not supposed to drink from the sentient. There were… deviants, in the past. They came to Earth, actually, centuries before official first contact, and recruited humans into harems. I figure consensual bloodletting is far more civilized than sucking on some poor creature that doesn't understand… but somehow I'm the barbaric one."
They all fell quiet for a moment.
"We don't think that," Linna offered after a time.
He smiled at her. "I know."
On Ridwal, three weeks into their trip, Kayson accidently bumped into a ten-foot-tall behemoth of an alien at a bar. The creature was all muscle and no head. And no patience.
As the thing was about to punch Kayson into next Tuesday, Virgil slid between them. "Why don't we buy you another drink?" he asked it, though Linna could identify neither mouth nor ears on the alien. He gestured to the mechanical bartender. "One soaker, please."
The robot served up a soppy-looking sea-sponge on a plate, and the large alien picked it up and rubbed it down its arms.
"There," Virgil said, patting it on the back. "Better?"
Linna loved the way he'd stood up for her husband and simultaneously defused the situation. She crooked a finger at her boys after and led them into the alleyway. Vigil smiled knowingly.
"I need you," she said to Kayson once they were outside, running her hands down the front of her body.
"Here?" he asked skeptically, glancing left and right for bystanders.
Virgil bent to whisper in his ear, "When your wife says she needs you, you shouldn't hesitate. Here, on a rooftop, in our kitchen—would you like me to give you a shot of courage?"
"I don't know…"
"Look at her," Virgil encouraged, slipping behind Kayson to take him by the shoulders. "I can smell her from here—wet and inviting. Her chest is full, her eyes are full, her lips are full. If you don't fuck her, perhaps I will."
It was an empty threat—Linna knew Virgil wouldn't cross the boundaries they'd set. Yet the thought made her insides tremble deliciously.
Kayson's jaw set with a determination. "Bite me," he snapped—both a demand and a quip.
"With pleasure." In one swift motion, Virgil yanked back the human's collar and bit down.
Moments later, Kayson was ripping Linna's panties down around her ankles and yanking her blouse open. She hadn't worn a bra and her breasts popped free.
"Bite her, too," Kayson said.
"Where?" Virgil asked slyly.
"Bite my chest," she demanded, and Kayson didn't protest.
Virgil smiled darkly, as though he'd set up the entire situation just so he could fulfill such a request. He took her right breast in hand, running his thumb over
her hardened nipple. He tenderly lowered his mouth next to his thumb, letting his teeth graze her skin. She gasped and spared a glance at his crotch—there was an unmistakable bulge. He was just as turned on as they were.
In the next instant, he bit down, and Kayson took her cry as a cue to thrust a finger inside her. Virgil's tongue lapped at the blood oozing from her wound but occasionally strayed to her nipple, flicking it the way she loved most.
Her first orgasm came swiftly, trailed closely by a second.
After that, the three of them were a united front. The almost-bar-fight and ensuing sex brought them closer together—they were long-lost best friends who had only just met. Linna thought they might be able to travel together forever.
How naive.
One afternoon, on her way to the ship's modest library, she heard moaning emanating from the massage room. Kayson sounded so enthralled, she decided to have a peek.
Easing the door open a tad, she saw Virgil in his characteristic half-undressed state, administering to a naked Kayson on the table. But their positions were off. Kayson lay face up, one arm slung over his eyes and his lips curled in a grimace of one part pain, one part pleasure.
And instead of running his hands across Kayson's torso, Virgil crouched over the apex of the human's legs, face planted firmly between them. Kayson's penis stood erect, twitching above the dark mop of Virgil's hair.
Linna ran simultaneously hot and cold.
"What the fuck are you doing?" she shouted, slamming the door open.
Virgil's head snapped in her direction. A ring of red surrounded his lips.
"Linna—" Kayson looked startled. "What are you—?"
"Are you letting him suck your cock?" she demanded. "I thought we agreed—"
"We did!" he said, jumping off the table. Virgil slid aside, wiping his mouth on the back of his hand. "Look, it's just a bite. That's it." He openly displayed his wound. "My neck and shoulders are raw, so he had to suck somewhere else."
"So you let him bite you there? And you're telling me nothing else happened?"
"Nothing."
She snorted in derision.
"What?" he asked pointedly.
"His face was butted right up against your cock."
"It was just a bite, Evelinna. I don't know why you're making such a big deal out of it. He bit you on the breast the other day, and I didn't say anything."
"That's totally different."
"How?" He reached out for her hand. "It's okay to want him, you know. But we agreed, and I would never go back on that unless—"
"Unless what?"
"Unless we agreed to go back on it."
She wasn't sure what to say to that, what to think of it. She'd fantasized a hundred times about going back on it—about begging Virgil to fuck her, just once, and asking him not to tell. But she'd never imagined Kayson might be having the same fantasies.
"Would it be so wrong?" he asked. "I want it. I know you want it. Virgil wants it." He gestured to the vampire, who stood by impassively, as though the argument had nothing to do with him.
"I don't want to share," she said stubbornly, then fled from the room.
For weeks after, suspicion clouded her mind. Every smile the men shared, every second they were alone, ate at Linna. Were they fucking behind her back? Virgil apologized for the inappropriate biting and said he'd be more mindful of her feelings in the future, but that could mean he'd simply be wise enough not to leave evidence of Kayson's infidelity.
The couple's sex life slowed to a trickle before drying up all together. But Virgil still had to eat.
The couple fought openly at least once a day. The late night conversation ran dry. Virgil stopped going out of his way to show them special planet-side attractions.
"This isn't working," she finally admitted to Kayson one evening. "We have to go back to Earth."
"If you'd pause for a sec and realize that nobody has done anything wrong here, you'd see—"
"No," she stopped him. "Please. For the sake of our marriage, let's go home."
He scooped her into his arms. "Okay."
The next morning over breakfast, they told Virgil. It was a somber mealtime—Virgil ate nothing. "I was hoping…" he began but trailed off. He had a few more false-starts before collecting his thoughts. "I was hoping this was simply a minor setback," he said. "Forgive me if I seem upset—I am. But you are, of course, free to leave."
"We need to," Linna said. "We have to take care of us, and we can't do that with someone else around."
"I understand."
A few days later, Virgil dropped them off at the Excursions hangar on Earth, kissing them both on the forehead before they left.
As Pete showed them out, Linna looked back and saw a new couple talking with Virgil. A fresh pang of possessiveness hit her. Sharing Virgil with someone else, she realized, was as appalling as sharing Kayson.
Reintegration was difficult. Earth felt far more foreign than any of the other planets they'd visited. Everyone was so the same, so human. They found a new apartment, but it wasn't long before their restlessness returned. One planet with one intelligent race wasn't enough for them.
And their sex life did not improve. Neither did their intimacy.
"You know what's missing," Kayson said to her one morning over coffee.
"Why can't we go back to the way we were before?" she asked.
He put his hand over hers. "I think you know. We both fell in love with someone else—as much as we love each other. I don't love you any less, but I'm heartsick—we're heartsick. We thought we were all we needed. But he…"
Jealousy and longing knotted themselves together in Linna's stomach. How could she love both of them? How could they both love each other and her?
"I don't want to lose you," he said. "But you know what I'm saying is true. Can we live without him?"
She stood up suddenly, throwing off his hand. "This is stupid."
"Is it? Is discovering a whole new universe and a whole new side to yourself stupid?"
No, it's not, Linna realized. She and Kayson were made for each other. There was nothing under any sun that could tear them apart… except, perhaps, not having Virgil in their lives. She was letting her jealousy get in the way of something that could be truly amazing.
"You're right," she said eventually. "We've changed."
"And?" he asked, clearly afraid of the answer.
"Do you think he'd take us back?"
Together, they phoned Palladian Excursions.
"I'm sorry," Pete said, "But Virgil terminated our services a few days ago. Vampires are flaky sometimes. We're used to it."
"Do you know how we can get in touch with him?" Kayson asked.
"Last I heard, he was off to the Ashlith Market."
"Thanks."
They didn't have the funds to charter a ship, and the alien market was far off the beaten path. Hitchhiking was their only option. Which, a full two weeks later, found them crouching behind a set of stinky barrels, eyeing Virgil like a couple of school girls spying on their crush.
Linna steeled herself. She wanted this—and didn't want this—and needed this—and resisted this. So many dynamic emotions were roiling through her body, she wasn't sure if she was going to melt or burst. She took a deep breath. "Okay," she said. "I'm ready."
With as much grace as she could muster, she stood and Kayson followed.
"Um, Virgil?" she said, striding forward. She tapped him lightly on the shoulder.
"Linna. Kayson," he acknowledged flatly, his expression blank.
She looked down at her feet sheepishly. "We missed you. We can't stay on Earth. We—we were hoping you'd—"
"Why did you leave Palladian Excursions?" Kayson asked.
Virgil passed a few coins to the nearest vender, and she handed him two round, orange fruits. "Because my clients were all cold," he said harshly. "Distant. No one wants to be passionate—truly, deeply. I think that's why humans take the excursions—they've lost the smolder in the
ir relationships and think the trip will set it alight again."
An overwhelming sense of loss washed over Linna. He didn't want them back. If they'd stayed, maybe Virgil wouldn't feel this way. Maybe—
"But." He handed them each a fruit. "Traveling with the two of you—you made each planet that much richer. You made my days and nights full of true passion and temptation. You left Palladian Excursions, so I did, too."
With a wistful look of lust, he grabbed Kayson by the back of the head and kissed him forcefully, tongue delving deep inside the other man's mouth. Breaking the kiss after a moment, he spoke breathlessly. "If you want come with me again, there will be no boundaries. I will have all of you or none of you."
Linna and Kayson shared a knowing look. "What was it you were telling us before," she asked, "about the harems of old?"
Virgil grinned devilishly, and it was her turn for a kiss. As his tongue flicked inside her mouth, Linna felt a familiar flooding between her legs. Her lips began to swell, and her pussy throbbed with anticipation.
"Come on, then," Virgil said, pointing them toward the spaceport. "I haven't eaten in ages."

Sweeter Than Blood
I was a vegan before John turned me into a bloodsucker, and I still like my beet juice as much as I did back then. So when John finishes his night shift at the hospital, we usually meet at the gay district’s 24-hour juice bar. That’s where we are now, at a table by the window, John counseling me on how to be a less miserable vampire.
He sets his glass down with a flourish, as if he’s about to make a pronouncement. “Keith, you’re a masochist to work in a barbershop.”
