A telephone ringing in the distance jolts me out of my slumber. I can’t tell how much time has passed. Liam whines as he eases out of our embrace and pads across the bedroom floor and back into his office. I can’t hear his conversation. His words are muffled by the thick walls.
Moments later, he returns to the bedroom as I am rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. “That was the client.” He’s unable to mask the disappointment in his voice. “He wants to know what the hold up is with the new draft of the contract.”
I giggle at the thought of explaining to our client that the contract was delayed because Liam spent the evening giving me back-to-back, explosive orgasms. “Better get back to work,” I mumble as I search for my clothing between the rumpled sheets.
Liam comes over and sits on the edge of the bed next to me. “Tonight was amazing, Jasmine,” he says running his finger down my cheek.
“It was…It was magical.” I bring my lips to his and enjoy one more languorous kiss, desperate to make the moment last just a bit longer. “I’d like to do it again…some other time…before you head back to Texas.” My cheeks redden as I make the sensual proposition.
Liam’s beautiful gray eyes twinkle at me as a small smile graces his lips. “I’d like that, too.”
