Conquest of the Alpha Page 5

“Are you sure that you know where you’re going?” Julia’s question was only answered by Tanner turning around and giving her a smirk.

“Trust me, Julia, I could find this place blindfolded if I had to.” His memory of his time together with Calley was something that he would always treasure, and if it had been any other time in his life, he would have relished the opportunity to put down some roots. “I think that she is an amazing woman, and I will always have a special spot in my heart for her. I’m not sure she’s going to feel the same way, because I didn’t even leave a note to explain my absence.” Tanner was well aware of the risk of involving Calley, but he had thought of her from the very beginning and wasn’t going to start second guessing himself.

He parked the van in between a couple of trees, knowing that the rest of the way would have to be on foot. Calley was a very private person, she had decided to live off the grid, and only going into town for supplies when necessary. She didn’t need all that much, and Tanner had seen her kill a deer with just a bow and arrow, skin it, and cook it over an open flame. She was a type of woman that was very independent, and certainly didn’t need any man to help her.

They made their way through the forest, with Tanner sniffing the air and finding Calley’s scent and drinking it in, as if it was a fine wine to be savored before consuming the elegant aroma.

Tanner moved towards the house, and Julia was right behind him the entire way.

“Now, what exactly do we have here? I believe we have a couple of trespassers that need to be taught a lesson. Both of you turn around and put your hands up into the air, and maybe I will consider not shooting you in the back.” Calley didn’t know who these two people were, only that she had heard them coming from a mile away. Putting up traps had done their job, alerting her to their presence and making it easier for her to go around and catch them by surprise. She was smiling, thinking that she had the upper hand, when suddenly she had her world turned upside down in a matter of seconds.

A man from her past stood in front of her, and it was like looking at a ghost and wondering if what she was seeing was real.

“It’s nice to see you again, but I’m afraid this is not a social call. If you would be so kind as to put down the gun, maybe we can go inside and have a discussion like reasonable adults.” He wasn’t sure what he was going to find, as he left a huge hole in her heart and in his own as well. They’d only known each other for a couple of weeks, but it was enough for them to know that they had found their true soul mate amongst the billions of people in the world. “This doesn’t have to be awkward, and we’re just going to have to put the past aside, until we have to talk about it. For now, we need your help, and I know how preposterous that sounds to you.”

She walked ahead, going into the house and leaving the door wide open, waiting for his face to come around the corner into the light. He didn’t change, and even after all of these years he still looked like the same little boy that she had found shivering in the cold. It was surprising to find him naked, but he explained it by saying that he was roughed up and robbed of everything he had. Somehow there was more to that story, and she was hoping that this time would be a little different than last. Getting caught up in their love life had neglected an opportunity for them to finally get to know each other.

“I think you should tell me what you’re doing here, and let me decide if I want to go down this road with you again. I don’t think I have to tell you what losing you did to me, and it was to a point that I couldn’t make a lasting connection with another man.” The woman behind him was a little different, and she walked over and stood in front of her, feeling this weird energy around her body that shouldn’t be there.

“Calley, I’m going to tell you some things that you might not believe, but it will be the god honest truth. Trust me, I know that you are going to find this surprising, but I did leave for a good reason. You see, I didn’t want you to know that I was different than any other guy you’ve met, and I have something inside me that needs to get out from time to time. You might call it a rage, or manifestation of my emotions coming to the surface.” He wasn’t about to tell her the entire truth, because that was a secret that was best left buried where it was.

“You are not telling me something, and you are still being as secretive as you have ever been. I thought that you might have changed, but you are the same.”

“I killed somebody, and I don’t remember doing it, but Tanner told me that you might be able to help bring back those memories.” Julia saw no point in beating around the bush, and decided to put all the cards on the table. “I have that same rage the Tanner has spoken about, but mine comes with a blackout and becoming a cold-blooded murderer. I need your help, and I hope that you won’t let your past cloud your judgment.” Julia was trying to appeal to her sense of reason, making sure that she knew all the facts before moving forward.

Calley could see that there was something in this woman’s eyes, and it made her step back, unable to continue eye contact. “I don’t like this, and I’ve never felt such imminent danger coming from one person. I will help, but you’re going to have to give me time to research this in my books. It has been some time since I have practiced, and all I need is a refresher course before beginning.” She took a wooden ladder; put it up against the second landing, before climbing up until she was in a loft surrounded by old textbooks and incantations.

“I knew that you were the one to ask about this, and I suppose we’re going to have to talk sooner than later. I just need you to know that I was protecting the both of us, and it was never because I didn’t have deep feelings for you. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever felt like that with anybody else, present company excluded.” Tanner didn’t want to admit that his love was never ending, but there was something between himself and Julia that had opened his eyes to the possibility of loving another. “I don’t expect you to forgive me, but I only request that you listen to what I have to say before you kick me to the curb. I know that we can never be more than just friends, because what I did to you was unforgivable. You know how many nights I lay awake knowing that I had hurt you and feeling this deep loss inside.” He was unburdening himself, and for the first time he was honest and forthright, instead of secretive and not willing to open up.

“I really don’t have time to talk to you right now, Tanner. Leaving in the middle of the night was cowardly, and I really thought that you were better than that. Instead I see that you are just a little boy in a man’s body, selfish and only looking after your best interest. There have been times that I have wanted to track you down, make you tell me what was going on, but then I realized that I just couldn’t waste my time on somebody that wasn’t going to be in it for the long haul.” She didn’t wanna make him feel bad, but there was a big part of her that wanted to twist the knife a little deeper than it already was.

“I think that you should give her some time, but stop acting like you can fix things with just words. She’s going to need something more concrete to grab onto, and that means you’re going to have to finally do something that you have never done before. I think we both know that you can’t commit, and that you only went after me for the purpose of the Clan. She needs to see action, but even then I’m not sure she can ever forgive.” Julia could give advice, but could never follow it herself in her own love life. It was one thing to dish it out, but it was something else to take your own advice.

“I don’t know what to do,” It was then that they heard Calley coming back down the wooden ladder, but the expression on her face told them that the news was not good.

“There is a way to draw those memories to the surface, but it means that you are going to have to get very close to each other.” Julia and Tanner looked at each other and didn’t know exactly what she was trying to get at. “Let me clear this up, and you’re going to have to get physical with each other. I don’t think that’s going to be a problem, because I can see the way that the both of you have been looking at
each other. Unfortunately, I will have to be there the entire time, and you’re going to have to drink something very potent. I have the ingredients here, and it will take me very little time to whip something up, but this is entirely up to the two of you.” They both nodded their head in agreement, thinking that there had to be a better way, only not seeing one on the horizon.

The smell was horrible, and Julia had to hold her nose before putting the cup up to her lips. It tasted even worse than it smelled, but she continued to pour it down her throat, until every last drop was gone. Looking over at Tanner, he had finished his also and was now showing the signs with his eyes glazed over. “I hope this works, because I can’t keep looking over my shoulder and wondering when the bullet with my name on it is going to find me.” Julia was feeling a little flush, her skin hot to the touch and droplets of sweat moving down between her cleavage.

The temperature had risen in the room by a few degrees, and they found themselves wanting to reach out and touch each other. “Don’t mind me, because this only works if you can reach simultaneous orgasms at the same time. Once that happens, the drug in the tea will activate with the release of endorphins. Then she will be able to uncover those memories that were lost to her, but not until then. We really don’t have anything else between us, Tanner, and even if I did forgive you, I could never forget.”

Julia and Tanner were now looking at each other, aware of all of their senses and feeling along each other’s clothing with just their fingertips. In a matter of seconds, they began to tear each other’s clothes off with abandon, not stopping until they were completely naked and at each other’s mercy. It was no wonder that they felt this way, because the drug was meant to unleash the sexual animal and that was exactly what it was doing. His cock was hard and unyielding, pointing towards the ceiling with a small drop of moisture on the tip. Tanner felt energized, like his libido had been seriously altered to the point of making him want nothing more than to consume Julia from the inside out.

“I see all of these colors, and they dance around so beautifully.” Julia couldn’t believe that she was under the effect of some drug, as the hardest thing that she had ever taken was a Tylenol. She saw waves where her fingers were now moving delicately down his arm, until she was grasping him so tightly that he arched his back with the intense need to give her all of him. “You are so beautiful, and I bet you taste so good on my tongue.” Not waiting for any response, she descended on his manhood, and slowly took the length 1 inch at a time into her mouth. It felt like it belonged there, and she easily took the entire thing without blinking an eye.

“Oh wow, this is unlike any other blow job I’ve ever had in my life. My entire skin is ignited with a blaze of fire that only your mouth can put out.” Julia’s head moved effortlessly up and down his flesh, loving the taste and swirling her tongue around each time that the head presented itself. “You can’t believe what I’m feeling, and I only hope that it is as good for you, as it is for me.” He was flying high, enjoying the new sensation and reveling in the sheer bliss of it all. He felt his hips begin to move, slapping obscenely against her mouth, just like he had done on that mountaintop on top of his motorcycle.

They were almost passed the point of no return, when Calley intervened and pulled them apart. “I can’t have you doing that, and this only works if you are sexually joined at the hip. I think we all know what that means, but maybe you should do something for her pleasure before that happens.” She moved away, sitting back in the same chair that she had come from, her hands in her lap and casually playing a symphony between her legs. Watching them in action was giving her great joy and frustration all at the same time.

Tanner could hear Calley’s voice, but it was like it was coming from far away, but he knew exactly what she was talking about. Moving down into position, he slipped underneath her body and made sure that her face was visible from where he was that. He saw Julia looking down at him, his mouth so near her cunt that it was a wonder that she didn’t just drop her entire weight on his face.

Julia thought for sure that they were reading each other’s minds, but then realized that it was probably just the drug that was making her feel that way. “Yes, you need to get me ready, and the only way to do that is with your mouth.” She watched with her eyes wide open, as he slithered his tongue out of his mouth and made a perfect fit between her sodden lips. She couldn’t keep still, squirming around on his tongue and essentially guiding his actions by paint brushing his face with her mound. She felt the climax coming, but yet again Callie intervened before she could find that pleasurable moment.

Lying down, she opened her legs and wrapped them around his waist, as he lifted her into the air, so that he could get maximum penetration from this angle. They both moaned out loud, as he was now able to feel her inner muscles working him over into a frenzy. They didn’t have an off switch, and began to pound into the ground so fast that her ass was going to show some considerable bruises in the morning.

Julia moaned out loud “Yes…oh god…this is so cool.” The effect of the drug and the subsequent release of endorphins were slowly releasing the shroud on the mystery of the memories that were hidden within her mind. Flashes began to bring to light the memories that had eluded her a few hours ago, and then they both joined together in a loving embrace that had them crying out for more.

She lay with her head on the floor, her eyes darting around out of control, as she saw Chance begin to change, and then herself begin to take on the same transformation. She had remembered this so far, but it was what happened next that made her almost jump out of her skin. It appeared that she was watching this from above, as if she was an innocent bystander witnessing something for the first time.

Her hands still had the look of the wolf, but her face was ashen white, with very distinctive canine teeth protruding from her mouth. Her eyes were glowing red, and she watched as she herself picked up Chance and bit into his neck. The way that this thing that she had become ripped into him was unnatural, and after dropping his body onto the ground, she looked up and saw a figure of a man standing on top of the hill looking down.

“AHHHHHHHHHH.” She didn’t even know that she was screaming, or that Calley and Tanner were shaking her and trying to bring her around. Nothing seemed to work, and her screams of agony were not only echoing inside the house, but outside of it as well.

“I want you to keep her steady, because whatever she is seeing is causing her to lose her damn mind. I have something that might bring her around, but I am afraid that she’s going to have to deal with the demon that she has just seen for herself. Whatever it was, I can tell you that her mind couldn’t deal with it.” She ran to her cupboards, coming back with a small branch with a purple leaf on the top of it. Running it back and forth underneath Julia’s nose, she suddenly stopped screaming altogether and looked down at her hands.

“That couldn’t have been me, and what I saw is something that is grotesque. It was something that was born from death itself, something that was twisted and maniacal in ways that I could only imagine. I was unleashed on Chance and he didn’t know what hit him. It happened so fast, but I did see that there was somebody else there. I couldn’t get a clear view of whoever it was, but I felt this very strange compelling urge to follow his every command.” Julia had now seen what it was that she had become, and it made her begin to realize that it wasn’t really her that was doing all of these bad things.

Tanner heard the words coming out of her mouth, and he knew of only one person that could possibly have that kind of effect on a human being. It couldn’t be possible, because they had destroyed the last one not more than 10 years ago. There had never been any sightings of another one, but if what he was hearing was true, it had to be none other than Lucas. If he had survived the fire, there was no telling what kind of revenge he would want to unleash on the clans. He began to pace back and forth, stroking his chin and looking out into space at nothing at all.

Julia saw his reaction to what she
said, and had the instinct to know that Tanner was now hiding something. All this was going on under the watchful eye of Calley, who didn’t want to interfere, but was certainly curious about what was going on.

“I have to inform the others, because if this is true, it is going to change everything. I am still not sure how he did this, only that I now have a better idea of what you are, Julia.”

Calley wasn’t about to take this lying down, and decided to stand up and ask what they were talking about “I have been more than patient, but if you’re not going to tell me what’s going on, I would like you to leave and never come back. I don’t think that’s too much to ask, and I would very much appreciate some straight answers or there’s the door.”

“I told you that that there were things about me that you wouldn’t understand, but I have to tell you that I am a werewolf.”

Calley stared at him for a minute, and then began laughing so hard that her sides began to hurt. “I should have realized that you would treat this as a joke, and if you’re not going to take this serious, I really don’t have anything else to talk to you about.” She didn’t expect the truth, but she didn’t expect him to weave a tale of supernatural wonder either. For him to even consider that she would believe such a thing, only showed her that she really didn’t know him in the first place.

“I don’t know how to prove it to you, but take my word for it.” It didn’t surprise Tanner that she was unwilling to wrap her mind around something that was mostly told in folklore or legend. He didn’t have time to convince her, because he had to get back to the others and make sure that they knew that Lucas was alive. He had no idea what to do with what could possibly be a half breed, and Julia was now seen as an imminent threat to his own life and that of his Clan. He knew that he should kill her right now, but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it.
