Eve had never been so in tune and mentally drained with any other man in her life. Caiden had secrets there was a part of his life he was not willing to share and Eve was tired of being left out. She wanted all or nothing. So tonight, she was prepared to let Caiden know exactly where she stood.
Chapter Two
Caiden paced back in forth wondering why Eve hadn’t answered. He knew she was getting tired of his countless disappearing acts but it was not as if he had a choice. Caiden was the son of King Dalek. This meant he was the prince of all vampires. Although he was given the freedom to live his life, he still had to perform his royal duties. Therefore, if his patrem and mater called upon him, he had to go.
Caiden had not planned to fall in love with Eve. Nine months ago, he had a meeting with Janet Greene at Liquid Diamond. Caiden was a diamond trader and was trying to move some of his family’s diamonds. His Belgium contact didn’t want to give him a good price so he decided to check out the new and upcoming company Liquid Diamond company.
He had been hearing quite a bit of buzz on the new CEO and decided to set up a meeting. When the secretary walked him through to Janet's office to his surprise, she was quite stunning. Her body was curvaceous but lean. Her hair was bright red against pail skin. Janet's emerald green eyes gave her an elusive look and the fitted Prada suit and six-inch heels let him know who was in charge.
Now Janet was easy on the eyes but her assistant was one of the most beautiful creatures Caiden had ever laid his eyes upon. During the secretary’s introduction, Eve popped her head into Janet's office and she was magnificent. Her face was oval with high cheekbones. Eve’s lips were full and she wore a shear pink gloss over them. Her skin looked as if the sun had kissed it. Her shoulder length hair were shades of light and dark brown with blonde flecks. Eve's body was pure energy and she had the shape of a coke bottle. The small mole on the side of her lip made his sex grow. As Eve apologized for the intrusion, she nicely entered the room to advise Janet that the conference room was ready.
As Eve took her departure Caiden’s eyes focused on the beautiful left to right sway of her hips. At that moment, Caiden knew he would take Eve as his uxor. There was only one problem with his thought. How could Eve accept his life as a royal vampire if he had also refused to accept his own fate?
