“PC.” I yelled with my arms raised.

“NP,” Preston yelled and we ran and met in the center of the living room. We collided with a grunt. Preston got leverage on me and lifted me up. I regained my balance and pushed him back while giving him a bear hug.

Kate stood off to the side witnessing our male greeting ritual.

“Wait.” I stopped and leaned back. “No cameras right.”

  Preston pushed me away.

“Dude. No. One time thing. I promise.” We hugged again.

“Cal.” Kate yelled and ran over to Callie.

“Kat.” Callie yelled back and the girls hugged and attempted our ritual and failed miserably.

“You two look ridiculous,” Preston said and shook his head.

“Our point exactly, ” Kate said.

  We all laughed.

“Let me see. Let me see.” Kate grabbed Callie’s hand. “Oh my God, it’s gorgeous. Nice job Noah.”

  “Thank you.” I grinned.

Callie held it up for Kate to study. The smirk on her face made me proud. Kate made a big deal about it. Callie grinned from ear to ear.

“Callie Cal.” Preston said and took her hand. “Welcome to the family.”

“We’re not married, yet,” Callie said as she hugged Preston.

“That’s just a formality.” He kissed her cheek.

I put my arm on Kate’s shoulders and kissed her cheek.

“I don’t know about you guys, but I have been looking forward to this trip,” Kate said.

“Need a break from marriage already, babe,” Preston said.

“No, I’m looking forward to enjoying just being Mrs. Kate Carter for a minute.” Kate stepped back. “Listen everyone. For the next five days, Kate Stone does not exist.”

“Okay, but I hope Kate Carter can sing because we have a serious karaoke contest going down on Wednesday at the brewery,” I said.

“Yeah, babe. The winner gets free t-shirts.” Preston jumped up and down like a little kid.

“You’re our secret weapon.” Noah squeezed her shoulder.

“Y’all are so silly,” Kate moved into the kitchen. “We have to start the weekend off with a toast.”

Kate handed Callie and I a glass of champagne, then one to Preston.

  I nodded to Preston.

“To the first of many family vacations.” He looked at each of us. “May it continue to be the most anticipated trip of the year … besides the Super Bowl.”

“Oh my God.” Kate and Callie said in unison.

Preston giggled and took a sip.

“Yo. To be honest. I’m tired of attending my own Super Bowls.” Preston nodded.

  We all groaned in unison.

  “No you’re not,” Kate said.

“You’re right, I’m not. But,” He held up his hand. “I’d be cool attending your Super Bowl someday, too.” He pointed his glass at me.

“Well if you'd stop kicking my ass in the playoffs, I might have a chance.”

“Okay, I’ll take it easy on you next year.” Preston said.

“No you won’t.” Callie hit Preston in the chest.

“Yeah, no I won’t.” Preston and I said in unison and laughed.

This trip was going to be a good one.

  Seven

  Callie

We spent the first night in the house talking and hanging out. We caught up on each other’s lives. We bonded like we didn’t get to do at the wedding. The chef prepared a steak and lobster dinner for us that was the best thing I had ever tasted. Combined with being surrounded by these people it was special.

Noah made it unforgettable when we retreated to our rooms early.

They used the excuse of an early tee time, but the setting and the champagne all set the mood.

The house had two master suites at opposite ends of a long hallway on the second floor. After getting the dogs situated, Valentine tucked into her crate, Noah led me up the stairs.

“What’s your hurry?” I asked and swayed my hips back and forth as he pushed me up the stairs.

“I’ve got something to show you.” At the top of the stairs, Noah ran his hand over my ass and gripped my hips.

“Nite you two.” Preston stood at the other end of the long hallway. He wiggled his eyesbrows and disappeared behind his door.

“Nite.” I waved and turned back to Noah. “What do you have to show me?

He pushed me toward our end of the hall and on the ground lay a trail of rose petals.

“Oh,” I grinned up at him as her leaned over and kissed the side of my lips. We followed the petals. I opened our bedroom door and the trail continued. Not to the king size bed on the right side of the massive bedroom. The petals trailed to the left into the bathroom. The vibrant red against the white tile was sexy.

I turned toward Noah. He closed the door behind him and stalked towards me.

Noah reached round me and ran his hands underneath my sweater, pushing it up on the way.

He reaches for my bra and unhooks it and drops it to the ground. All while we shuffled towards the end of the trail. He palmed my breast. I lay my head back on against his solid chest. The heat from his body warmed me up.

“That feels good.” I moaned. All the tension and anxiety melted off my body.

“You like that.” He whispered in my ear as he pinch my nipple. His other hand slid into the front of my pants. Noah has massive hands and amazing fingers. With my tight jeans, his fingers weren’t able to reach to where I wanted them.

“You want to give me a little help.” He asked and licked my earlobe.

I unbuttoned and unzipped my jeans and pulled the flap open, which gave Noah all access to explore with his fingers. He rubbed over my slit.

  I groaned.

He teased me with his fingertips, rubbing back and forth, but not quiet touching the spot where I craved.

“Stop playing with me.” I turned my head to the side.

His grin caused a shiver to run down my spine. I wanted him. I didn’t even care where the trail ended.

I attempted to turn in his arms, but he grabbed my hips and turned me back towards our destination.

“Not yet.” He shook his head and took his hands off of me.

The heat left my body, I shivered.

“Keep walking.” He shooed me away.

Two could play this game. I shimmed my jeans down my legs. Waved my ass at him.

Noah groaned. “Stop trying to distract me.”

I grinned over my shoulders and stepped out of my jeans.

  Noah reached for me.

I jumped away from his outstretched arms and continued to find the end of the petal trail. I entered bathroom and followed the trail and gasped. It ended at the filled tub with a pile of deep red petals arranged in the shape of a heart on the ground. More petals floated in the huge tub and floated along a small current moving the water.

“Get in.” Noah swatted my ass.

  I jumped.

I turned and placed a kiss on his cheek.

“You’re going to join me?” I asked as he took my hand and helped me into the tub. The water was hot, but not scalding. It was perfect. I moaned as I sat down facing Noah.

“Of course.” He pulled his sweatshirt up and over his head and sat it on the counter.

I sat up and watched him. I loved his body, broad chest and sculpted arms. I loved that I got to see how he created his beautiful body.

I got to enjoy it, too.

Before taking off his pants, he took a step back.

“Where you going?” I didn’t want to miss the show.

“Be patient.” He yelled as he disappeared into the other room.

When he came back, he had two mugs in his hand.

“Here,” He handed them to me. “Hold on to these and sit back.”

“What …” Before I could speak, Noah pushed a button on the wall and the glass wall next to the tub opened.

Noah touched another button on the wall and the wate
r churned harder and steam wafted into the air and pushed the cold air away.

“Oh wow.” I leaned back and took a sip from one of the cups. It was hot chocolate laced with something alcoholic. It warmed my insides.

Noah removed his jeans and joined me in the tub. He warmed my insides, too. I handed him one of the cups.

  “You like?” He asked.

“Very much,” I said. “We should have an outdoor tub in Brooklyn.”

Noah shook his head. “I don’t want Tyler getting a free show. He already hears too much.”

The bedroom of our brownstone shares a wall with our neighbor Tyler. He never said anything, but I swear after Noah and I have sex and I see him the next day, he has a creepy grin on his face.

I raised my hand in the air to feel the chill on my fingertips. It sent a shiver through me.

I placed my cup on the ledge and scooted my way over to Noah. It seemed like it had been days since we had a chance to be with each other.

I crawl into his lap and wrapped my legs around his waist.

  His manhood hardened.

  I rubbed up against him.

Noah groaned and ran his hand down my back and cupped my ass.

“I miss you,” I said as I leaned into for a kiss.

“I’m right here,” he said. His eyes casted down. His hand traced the line of my shoulder.

“I know.” I leaned in and kissed his collarbone. I ran my tongue up his neck. “It’s just been awhile since we both haven’t been running in opposite directions.”

Noah leaned back and stared. He narrowed his eyes and looked away. I brought his face towards mine. We stared for a few seconds, but both remained silent.

I had stuff to say, things we needed to talk about, but I didn’t want to ruin the mood. I leaned in and kissed him instead. I pressed my tongue between his lips.

Noah sat up and grabbed the back of my head and pressed me close to him. His other arm snaked around my waist to keep me smashed up against him.

I groaned as his cock rubbed against my clit. I moved my hips to create more friction. I threw my head back and moaned as the pressure increased.

“I want you.” Noah said. I raised my head and saw it in his eyes. The desire he had for me. He never masked how much he wanted me. He never shied away from telling me how he felt about me.

I was so lucky to have found Noah. He tried every day to make me feel loved.

What more could a girl ask for?

I grabbed his manhood and stroked it a few times while holding his gaze. Noah lifted me and lowered me back down on him. He rubbed my ass and stared into my eyes.

He was so big and filled me up.

I never got tired of the way he felt inside of me. We didn’t move for a minute, we sat combined in the most intimate of ways, close, together. We fit perfectly and no matter my insecurities about our future, I knew we belonged together.

I leaned in whispered in his ear.

  “I want you, too.”

I wrapped my arms around his neck and rocked on his lap. We both moaned in unison as his manliness touched my core and my clit rubbed up against his pelvis.

Noah guided me with strong hands on my hips.

We splashed against the current in the water.

Noah matched my rock with small thrusts.

I whimpered. The orgasm tickled my core. I was so close.

“God you’re so beautiful.” Noah whispered in my ear.

I came undone. I was always a sucker for his sweet words.

  “Noah, fuck.” I moaned.

  Noah chuckled in my ear.

I leaned back and he moaned.

I reached between us and ran my fingers around the base of his cock as he continued to trust into me.

“Keep doing that.” He grunted as I pressed down and rocked my hips to meet his thrust harder. “Oh fuck, Callie.”

His body twitch, he facial muscles went slack. He unloaded inside of me, with a quick deep thrust. His body shook.

He scrambled to hold me close and we shook out the remaineder of his orgasm in each other’s arms.

I kissed his face. I kissed his neck and shoulders and back up to his face. I ran my fingers through his hair and laid my head down on his chest.

He leaned back into the tub and brought me with him.

I tried to lean back, but he stiffened and held on to me tighter. He held me as if he was afraid to let me go.

I sighed and settled in his arms. The cool air warred with the warm steam and I relaxed against Noah’s body.

  He missed me, too.

“Have you been to Aspen before?” I asked Kate as we rode into town in the back of another black SUV.

“Yeah, but not in the Spring. It’s beautiful.” She looked out the window.

“Colder then I thought it would be,” I said as I buttoned my coat. “The house is so beautiful. How’s your house coming along?”

“It was moving along great during the season when Preston couldn’t get out there to change stuff.” Kate shook her head. “I swear he must be scanning Pinterest daily,” she rolled her eyes. “Finding new ideas and changing his mind about stuff. The contractor called me for help. They’re excited for us to be out of their hair for a while.”

  “When will it be finished?”

“I hope by July. Get moved in and settled before the season starts.”

  I smirked.

“Is that how it is now? Our lives are divided between the season and off season.”

“Yep. That’s the life of loving an NFL player.” Kate took my hand and squeezed.

“I feel bad." I turned to face her. "Noah has all this time on his hands. I told him to go do what every he would be doing at this time of year.”

  “What did he say?”

“He said last year, he was holed up in a house with you and it turned out pretty good.” I grinned.

“He is a sweetheart. He’s mellowed so much.” Kate turned to me. “You know I’ve known Noah for three years. We’ve hung out with Preston dozens of times over the years and last night is the first time we’ve ever talked if that makes sense.”

“It does?” Noah didn't open up to anyone. He had tons of old friends. Most made out of the common association of being a football player. The rest of the world were acquaintances.

“Usually we’re at an event or at dinner with tons of other people or moving in and out." Kate pushed a hair behind her ear. "It was nice to get to know him finally.”

“They said we’d love this trip. I think they’re right.” I squeezed her hand back.

“I know, but don’t tell them, okay. Their ego’s are big enough.”

“You’ve been going non stop since the wedding." I leaned my head back. "Is it hard for you to turn it off?”

“Yeah, I kind of work to exhaustion where I get to the point I have to take a break.” She looked out the window. “I’m trying not to do that anymore, but I’m conflicted. I want to spend time with Preston, but I keep getting offered these great parts. I can't very well ask them to change the schedule to accommodate the football schedule. You know it’s hard.”

I frowned. At least I could do my job from anywhere.

“And the paparazzi saw me in a non bloat friendly dress and now they are on baby watch.” Kate rubbed her stomach.

  “Oh my god.” I giggled.

“It's been crazy.” She nodded her. “What about you? How's it going with Garret? I read your first column. It was good.”

“Thank you.” I smiled, my heart raced thinking about the column in benchreport.com and the response. “No. It’s so much fun. He’s so encouraging and supportive. He waits until after he’s done critiquing my work to hit on me. It’s been smooth.”

“He is a big flirt isn’t he?” Kate laughed. “We need to get him a woman.”

“Yeah, that would be a full time job. With school, Noah and the dogs,” I shook my head. “I don’t have the time.”

  “And,
now the wedding. What are you guys decided so far?”

  “Nothing,” I said.

Kate’s face dropped. She grabbed my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

  “Well that’s okay.”

  I looked at her.

“Yeah. It’s okay. We have plenty of time?” I squeezed her hand back as we pulled up to the spa.

“Oh my goodness.” Kate walked into the reception area after our spa treatments rolling her neck. “That was amazing.”

I sat near the fire waiting for her. I might have fallen asleep. My spirit was calm.

I nodded in agreement. “I could live here.”

“Come on.” Kate helped me up. “I’m starving.”

We walked through the streets of Aspen; the center of town was almost empty. The buildings, restaurants and bars all had a warm laid-back vibe to them. We entered a hotel and headed towards the restaurant.

“This place has amazing food.” Kate said.

A few people were scattered around the restaurant, the warm tones made me sleepy, but my stomach growled.

“Now I’m starving too.” I held my stomach. “Can we sit by the fire?” I asked the hostess.

“Of course.” We followed her. “Why don’t you sit back here that way you can get the fireplace and the view?”

The little alcove behind the fireplace had windows all around.

“A friend of mine might be stopping by if she has time.” Kate said to the hostess. “Can you let her know we’re back here?”

  “Of course Ms. Stone.”

Kate eyes grew wide and she shook her hands out once.

“I guess she didn’t get the memo.” I sat down and turned toward the fire.

Kate laughed and peeked behind her to see if anyone else recognized her.

We ordered hot drinks and food. We reached for the warm pretzel bread as soon as the waiter dropped it on the table.

“Can I ask you a question about that person who doesn’t exist for the next five days?” I asked.

Kate giggled and took another bite of bread.

  “Sure.”

“How are you so fabulous and normal at the same time?”

Kate cackled and threw her head back. It was so cute and unattractive at the same time. As I thought about her public persona, it wasn’t that far from the truth. I wanted to write a piece about her, but hadn’t figured out the angle, yet. How was she a young movie star and a regular person at the same time?
