Warm tingling spread from the Goddess’ hand into hers and then into Mitch. Molly’s eyes widened as Mitch’s wounds knitted and healed before her eyes.
“You will remain a succubus for the remainder of your time, Molly, but you have found happiness in who you are and in your life, you never knew as a human. Mitch too has found what he seeks, and together, you will honor and cherish my other children and my creations.” She leaned down to kiss Molly’s cheek and then Mitch’s before dissolving away as if she were mist.
Her lips found Mitch’s and she lost herself in the heat of his embrace. She traced every inch of him with her hands, ensuring he was whole and healthy.
When he finally pulled back from their kiss, his sea-green eyes searing into her soul, he cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs feathering lightly over her cheeks. “I guess some of this supernatural shit isn’t quite so bad, Detective Beck.” He brushed a gentle kiss over her lips. “Does this blood oath thing come with a honeymoon?”
The vortex shimmered around them and Molly blinked as she found them both back inside her apartment standing chest to chest, their blood-streaked clothes gone, and nothing but warm skin between them. “I’d say that’s a definite yes…”
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Tina Gerow has always had a passion for romance and anything paranormal. And even in school, was encouraged to put her writing skills to good use, but always with the admonishment to ‘stop writing the weird stuff and tone down the sarcasm.’ But what fun is that?! So, in 2003, she finally decided to try her hand at writing a novel, but still firmly embracing the ‘weird stuff and the sarcasm.’ Her first book, Into a Dangerous Mind, won the award for Romantic Times Best Small Press Contemporary Paranormal for 2006.
Since then, Tina has published several more books, including the popular Maiden series, the Seduction Series for Kensington’s Aphrodisia line as Cassie Ryan, and the Sisters of Darkness series with Berkley, also as Cassie Ryan.
