Storm of Ecstasy – Book Nine (The Guardians of the Realms)
As the son of Hades and a Guardian of the Realms, Pothos has been gifted with immense power to protect the inhabitants of the four Realms of Earth. When the evil God Apollo is stolen and the Guardians are forced to wake Hades from his sleeping confinement, P is faced with a long held dangerous secret; that he was born of two worlds. Learning that his mother was a Priestess from the unknown world of Thule, Hades also confesses that P has been kept hidden from all who dwell there as his very life is in danger the moment their Gods learn of his existence. As P struggles to make sense of the life he has lived and what this means for his future he finds himself forcibly pulled into Thule by an unstoppable divine force. Bracing for attack, he instead finds himself faced with a threat of a different sort, a beautiful golden Goddess who calls to the very depths of his soul.
Gefn is a Goddess of Thule, dedicated to the preservation of her world. A world constantly faced with wildly shifting energy left behind in the wake of warring Gods. Haunted after witnessing the brutal murders of her closest friends, her Priestesses, she has lived a life of relative loneliness but for her few remaining siblings and her pair of giant, magical lynx gifted to her at birth. They are Guardians of Thule and her most trusted companions. When they lead her to a hidden garden outside her missing sister’s palace she is shocked to find a winged male who calls to her most primal desires, unleashing her power in a way that sweeps her into a passion she’s never known. His sudden disappearance leads her and her brothers into a tense and deadly standoff in another world.
As both worlds collide will Pothos and Gefn’s unique mating end in his death? Or will the strength of their love help them survive a storm of ecstasy as they uncover more secrets that could save them all?

Author’s Note—Starting the Series with this Title (Contains Some Spoilers to Earlier Books):
We’ve always done our best to make the Guardians of the Realms series as standalone as possible, but I do not recommend starting with book nine. If you decide to try it anyway, this is a little background that may help:
The twelve Guardians of the Realms were gifted with immense power and responsibility to watch over the four Realms: Earth (the Realm of humanity), Heaven (Realm of pure souls), Hell (Realm of tainted souls), and Tetartos (Realm of beasts and Immortals). They were also charged by the Creators with watching over the sleeping Gods, who would “one day be needed on Earth.” The nine male and three female Guardians represent the strongest and most powerful of the Immortal races, and all are telepathically linked along with their various other gifts.
Of the twelve sleeping Gods, only Hades, Athena and Aphrodite were good, the others were tainted with evil. Yet all were sent into sleeping chambers that were meant to purge the bad Gods of all the dark energies they’d consumed while feeding off the suffering of humans and Immortals instead of the pure energy of the Earth, which was the sustenance of Immortals and Gods alike.
Unfortunately the Creators hadn’t sent Ares and Artemis’ evil triplets, the spawn of a dark incestuous coupling, to sleep. They’d left them restrained to their prison in Hell Realm, not realizing that one day the evil beings would be able to cause chaos from their cage. So for centuries the Guardians have battled against demon souls the evil three send out to possess humans while at the same time continuously dispatching hell beasts into Heaven and Tetartos Realms.
As for the Immortal races, Apollo and Hermes, two of the worst Gods, experimented on, imprisoned and then callously bred any they could find before being sent to sleep. Their goal had been to create a powerful army, so they infused the races with animal DNA to give them added strength and instincts.
One of the tormented Immortal breeders, Charybdis, eventually cast a spell using a portion of her own life force in the ultimate sacrifice. The spell ensured that the Gods could no longer force them to breed and take their young to warrior camps. Immortals could no longer produce young with one who wasn’t their fated mate. After the Immortals were freed by the Creators and exiled to Tetartos, finding a mate had turned into an exceedingly rare and beautiful occurrence. An event that made the pair more powerful and allowed for the possibility of children a decade after their souls had connected.
And so it had always been until something changed. Suddenly Guardians were finding their fated mates. The added power that came from the pairings was making already powerful beings as strong as the Gods themselves.
A couple of months ago Apollo was freed from his sleeping unit by a now dead enemy of the Guardians. Before the Guardians could recapture him, the Deity was abducted by unknown warriors. Without a clue as to the God’s whereabouts, the Guardians were forced to awaken Hades, the strongest of the G
ods, in the hope that he could telepathically track his brother.
He hadn’t been able to find Apollo, but he did have knowledge they needed, including the fact that they were dealing with a previously unknown ancient world… Thule.
Hades had once held a secret allegiance with the Thulian God Agnarr. The Deity told no one of the other world or of his ally as a way to ensure neither world learned of his son, Pothos’ birth to a priestess of Thule. The long-dead female had warned Hades that the Gods of Thule would demand Pothos’ death if they ever became aware of his existence.
With Apollo gone, Hades was forced to share the hidden information before attempting to contact his old Thulian ally using drops from a powerful blue stone into a mist-shrouded lake on a hidden northern island of Earth. Unfortunately, instead of Agnarr, a female Goddess, Kara, came through a portal from Thule instead and attempted to forcibly take Hades back with her.
Now Kara lay unconscious in a Guardian holding cell, still recovering from her attempt at abducting the powerful God.
Pothos, struggling with the knowledge of being of two worlds, found himself gazing into the mystical lake where his father had nearly been taken. When something magical and blue rose to the surface, he found himself pulled into the world he was never supposed to see. Into the path of a golden Goddess that called to his soul. After an interruption to the brief but passionate interlude, Pothos was uncontrollably drawn back to Earth.
Chapter 1
Hroarr’s Palace, World of Thule – Fifteen Minutes Ago
“Are you well, my Goddess?” Laire wasn’t only her guard, the big blond warrior was a friend. Winds whipped at them as he took the wide steps into her brother’s palace. Gefn breathed in the sea air, hearing the crashing waves against the rocky cliff below. Streaks of sunlight slipped through the swelling clouds as she swept past her brother’s guards. They bowed their heads respectfully as she, Laire and her two massive black beasts passed, giving extra room to the irritated felines that reached waist high to the large warriors. The beasts were the ancient Guardians of Thule, gifted to Gefn by her powerful parents when she’d been but a babe. Gefn’s sires had instructed all of the Gods to heed the powerful creatures’ instincts in all things. It was said that they would help lead Thule through the end of times if it was possible.
