“Probably not,” Frey agreed. “But I sure as hell hope you have a plan to get us out.”
I shrugged and gestured toward the door, indicating we were about to find out. “We’re in a labyrinth without Ariadne’s thread.”
Frey squinted at me and asked, “How do you know about that?”
So naturally, I flipped him off, but I suddenly realized why we hadn’t met any opposition inside this building. Or perhaps it had been Havard who figured it out, but either way, it wasn’t good news for us. “We’re not only in a labyrinth, but we’ve got an entire army outside waiting to ambush us.”
“Okay,” Frey said slowly, “so what do we do?”
“The only thing we can,” Agnes answered. “We fight.”
