Sean had come home to LA for Jordan's graduation...
Jordan and Sean drove to Justin's house to pick up a suit that Jordan wanted to wear. Jordan had left a lot of clothes at his father's house because the closet space in his dorm room couldn't hold a fourth of the clothes he had. They arrived in front of the house.
“Jordan you have a million suits. Why did we have to come here to get one?” Sean asked.
“Because it's the one I want to wear at graduation,” Jordan said simply.
The two entered thinking that Justin was away at the office. When they heard talking coming from his father's home office they turned to each other.
“Make sure you're at Jordan's graduation,” Justin said.
“Why would I be at Jordan's graduation?” Joanna asked.
“Because despite the fact that you've never wanted him to be; he's your son.”
“No. He's your son. He's what you wanted, not me.” Joanna snapped.
“You will be at that graduation Joanna. Jordan has accomplished a lot and you will be there to congratulate him,” Justin warned.
“And if I'm not?”
“Then don't bother to come back here again.”
“The only reason I come here is for you Justin. You're the only thing I've ever wanted.”
“Apparently you wanted Carl too,” he told her.
“I went to Carl to get your attention. You were supposed to come after me and get me back,” she explained
Justin laughed. “Come after you? You've never been that special Joanna.”
“I hate you Justin!” she screamed.
“But you don't hate this...”
The next sounds had Jordan walking out of the house with Sean following him. They got back into the car and Sean turned to him.
“You okay?”
“Yeah, nothing surprises me about Joanna anymore.”
“What about your suit?” Sean asked.
Jordan smiled. “Guess I'll just have to buy a new one.”
To this day, nothing still surprised Jordan about Joanna. Either Carl was lying to his face or he truly believed that garbage he was saying today. It didn't matter to Jordan, all he knew is that Carl and Milton had better stay out of his path. He didn't have time for distractions. Salvador Esteban required all of his attention because there was nothing more important than protecting his family, all of them.
Sage stirred and turned to him. Sleepily she pushed her hair away from her face and he smiled at her.
“What are you doing still awake Jordan?” she asked.
“Just thinking.”
She sat up against the pillows. “What's wrong?”
“I was thinking that I have the most beautiful wife in the world,” he told her.
Sage tilted her head. “You were not up in the middle of the night thinking that.”
Jordan touched her hair. “I think that all the time pretty girl.”
Sage smiled. “You're being sweet, which means I know you've been plotting to do something bad.”
“Yeah, I want to do something bad to you.” Those dark eyes danced.
“You know I love it when you're bad,” she whispered.
Jordan pulled her into his arms. “I know, because when I'm bad...it's so good.”
“So damn good...” she breathed as he moved over her.
Sage ran her hands over his rigid muscles and contours. To her nothing felt better than the feel of Jordan's body except the feel of Jordan's body inside of hers. She reached for the part of him that was warm and fully erect. He moaned softly as she massaged him gently.
“What are you planning to do with that?” he whispered in her ear.
She smiled and continued her ministrations. “I know what you like...”
“I like being loved by you,” he told her kissing her neck.
Sage pushed him onto his back before running her hands down his chest, across his muscled abdomen then lower to fondle the focus of her desire. “Then let me love you...”
He pulsed in her hand and smiled wickedly at her. “You do that.”
Chapter 19
The day had finally arrived for Sean and Lily's engagement dinner party. Every one arrived at the restaurant ready for fun and festivities. Jordan, Sage and Diamond arrived promptly followed by Trent, Ray, Isabelle and Isis. They all greeted the happy couple. After everyone was seated Sean stood.
“Thank you for coming to celebrate this special day for me and my beautiful Lily.” He smiled down at her and she beamed at him.
“Let's eat and have a good time,” he said before reclaiming his seat.
At the table Jordan was seated next to Sage; Ray next to Isabelle and Trent next to Isis. This was Lily's strategic table setting to match all the couples who were invited. Ray and Isabelle shared covert glances at each other while Trent and Isis smiled at each other occasionally.
Jordan stood to give a toast. “Lily as the best man and lifelong friend of Sean's it's my duty to tell you what you're getting when you marry him.”
Sean gave Jordan a look and everyone laughed.
Jordan continued. “You're getting a smart ass; a know it all; and somebody who always wants to do it his way.” He looked at Sean. “And you're also getting the most brilliant, loyal, and trustworthy man I've ever known.”
Jordan lifted his glass. “To my brother, may his married life to this beautiful woman be all that he deserves.”
Everyone lifted their glasses and Sean nodded at Jordan. Ray stood causing Lily, Sage, Sean and Jordan all to groan.
“Hey! Chill that out,” Ray told them lifting his glass.
“To the choir boy who managed to steal little Lily.” He glanced at Lily and back to Sean. “And I couldn't have conceded to a better man. May the Universe bless you both with love and happiness.”
Ray smiled at them as he took his seat.
Sage stood and lifted her glass to the couple. “When I met Sean I thought he was the sweetest guy I'd ever met...”
“Hey!” Jordan interrupted.
Sage glanced at him and continued. “I'm so happy that he met and fell in love with the sweetest woman I've known. You two make a perfect couple and you're the best babysitters.” Sage smiled at them before taking her seat.
Trent stood next. “I practically live with Sean and Lily so I think I know them best,” he teased. “Lily, you've always had my back and looked out for me.” He winked at her and everyone turned to Lily who smiled back at Trent. “And Sean, man no words can say how much you mean to me. I hope you and Lily have a great wedding and a great life together.”
Everyone smiled at Trent as he sat back in his chair then all eyes went to Isabelle as she stood.
“This could've been very awkward but it's not,” she began. “Because I wish nothing but the best for two people who are the kindest and most thoughtful people I've met. May you have a wonderful life together.”
Both Lily and Sean smiled at Isabelle as she took her seat smiling at them. She glanced over at Ray who smiled at her and she blushed as she took a sip of her drink. Isis watched them both.
Sean and Lily stood. “Thank you everyone. Thank you for being a part of our lives and for your kind words.”
There was a knock at the door and the waiters and waitresses began bringing in the food. One of the waitresses came to fill their glasses when she stopped.
“Sean?” she screeched.
Sean looked at the woman and froze.
“Sean, baby! Oh my God, it is you!” She sat the pitcher down and threw her arms around him while everyone watched.
“Aw...hell,” Jordan said under his breath and Sage glanced over at him.
Sean quickly disengaged himself from the woman.
“Hello Shana.”
Isabelle looked at the woman and brought a hand to her face. Ray watched her reaction before turning to the look at the mystery woman.
“Oh baby, you look so good!” Shana said looking Sean over. Lily looked at Sean with a question on her face.
/>
“Lily this Shana, she went to school with me, Jordan and Izzy.”
Shana then glanced across the table.
“Jordan!” Her eyes widened before she ran around the table and threw her arms around him. “Damn! You fine as hell Jordan.” She stepped back as he stood. “You wearing the hell out of those suits now.” She looked him over smiling.
Jordan quickly turned to Sage. “Shana, this is my wife Sage.”
Sage lifted a brow looking the woman up and down taking in her very large breasts and caramel complexion, but Shana's attention was elsewhere.
“Isabelle?” Shana's eyes had slid down the table before she walked toward Isabelle.
“Look at little skinny Isabelle.” She lifted a brow. “I see you're still following Sean and Jordan around.”
“Shana!” Sean said sternly. “This is my engagement party with my fiancée, so we would appreciate if you would tend to whatever it is you came to do and leave us.”
“Oh, okay baby. You don't have to get upset.” She smiled.
“It's Sean,” he said sternly.
Sage looked at Lily who looked like she was about to explode at any minute. Jordan looked at Sage to make sure she didn't explode at any minute. Ray looked at Isabelle who looked like she could kill this woman at any minute. Trent and Isis watched Sean and Shana wondering how this was going to turn out.
“Oh! Well let me just fill these glasses.” She went back to filling the empty glassware on the table.
Sean turned to Lily and took her hand after they were seated. “I'm sorry.”
Lily nodded and picked up her glass. The room was silent as Shana continued around the table. When she got to Ray's glass she stopped and stared down at him.
“Now I know I didn't go to school with you. I'd never forget eyes that sexy,” she told him.
Ray looked up at her. “If I were you I'd hurry up and fill these damn glasses before you get one of them across your head.” He looked pointedly at Sage, Lily and Isabelle.
Shana smiled and leaned her extra-large mounds on his shoulder as she filled his glass. Isabelle's face flamed and Isis watched her sister.
Shana sashayed to the door stopping to say, “I'll be back. Let the party begin.” She walked out and Sean was quickly out of his seat. “Excuse me. I'll be right back.”
Everyone watched him leave the room before Jordan stood. “I should probably keep him from killing her.” He quickly followed Sean.
Ray stood. “I should make sure they both don't kill her.” He walked out the door and Trent looked around the table at the fuming women.
“I think I'll just follow them.” He quickly left the table.
When the women were all alone Sage looked at Lily.
“Are you okay Lily?”
Lily looked down at Isabelle. “Who is she?”
“She went to school with us,” Isabelle explained.
Lily nodded. “She and Sean were a couple?”
Isabelle lowered her gaze. “Sean should tell you that.”
Lily looked at Sage. “Well this is a great way to start my marriage festivities.”
“She's not going to be a problem Lily,” Sage assured her.
Lily looked towards the door. “I hope you're right Sage.”
In the restaurant Sean quickly made his way to the management office with Jordan on his heels. When they got to the office, Sean demanded that Shana be replaced with another waitress for the rest of their dinner. Shana walked into the office with Ray and Trent behind her.
“What is the problem Mr. Jackson?” the manager asked.
“I want another waitress. Now!”
Shana placed a hand on her hip. “Sean, you don't have to make me lose my money because you don't want your little fiancée to know how we used to get down. Okay?”
Sean's eyes narrowed as everybody's eyes in the room turned to him.
“Listen Shana, what happened between us was a long damn time ago. You're not going to upset my fiancée or ruin her party. You are not allowed back into the room.”
Shana turned to her manager. “Am I still going to get paid for today?” she snapped.
The manager shrugged and Jordan spoke up. “I'll cover her wages for today. Now we're done.”
Shana smiled at Jordan. “I heard you were a big baller now Jordan. We never did get our chance, baby.”
Jordan frowned. “Uh...back your ass up, Shana. I'm just trying to keep Sean from hurting you.”
“Whatever.” Shana turned to her manager. “Just make sure I get my money.” She walked out of the room.
“Is everything alright now Mr. Jackson?” the manager asked.
Sean nodded tightly. “Yes.”
“Then I'll make sure everything is taken care of.” He left the office leaving the four men together.
Sean ran a hand down his face. “What the hell?”
“Only you would run into your teenage booty call at your engagement party,” Jordan told him and Trent's eyebrows lifted.
“Shut the hell up Jordan.”
Ray laughed. “I think the women are plotting her death.”
“Look, let's just go back inside and have a good time. She's gone and that's done,” Jordan said to Sean patting him on the back.
Sean sighed. “Let's go.” When they stepped out of the office, Lily was waiting at the door. All the guys looked down at her.
“I'd like to speak with Sean please.”
They all turned to Sean then nodded before making their way back to the room. Sean took her hand and led her back into the office closing the door behind them.
He turned to her. “I'm sorry Lily. That was... unexpected.”
Lily smiled at him. “You think so?”
“I don't know what to say,” he told her.
“She used to be your girlfriend?” Lily asked.
Sean shook his head. “I wouldn't call her that.”
Lily nodded in understanding. “Is she going to be a problem?”
“Not at all.”
She smiled up at him. “Okay. Now let's enjoy our party.”
Sean pulled her into his arms. “I love you.”
“Nothing is going to spoil our wedding. I love you too much to let that happen,” she told him.
“I love you too much to let that happen.” He kissed her slowly.
Jordan, Ray and Trent entered the room where Sage, Isabelle and Isis were waiting. Jordan made his way over to his wife smiling at her. When he sat Sage leaned over to him and whispered, “Did you...with her?” she questioned.
Jordan frowned. “No.”
Sage lifted a brow.
“No!”
Sage moved back. “But everybody wanted to,” he said smiling.
Her eyes narrowed. “Is she gone?” she asked.
Jordan leaned over and kissed her gently. “Yes baby, she's gone. Can we get back to the party now?”
“Is Lily okay?”
Jordan nodded. “She's with Sean.”
“I swear we can never just have a good time out somewhere,” Sage commented.
“But it's not us this time,” Jordan reminded her smiling.
Sage smiled too. “Yeah, it's not.”
Lily and Sean came back into the room and took their seats.
“So let's get back to having a good time,” Sean told everyone with a smile.
The group enjoyed the rest of their dinner until it was time to leave. Sean and Lily began to gather their things when Jordan stopped them.
“One last thing, Sean and Lily.”
They paused looking at him.
“Although you both said you didn't want any gifts, we got you one anyway.”
“Jordan,” Sean said.
Jordan shrugged. “I was outnumbered.”
“Right...”
Jordan smiled. “Anyway we had a talented, beautiful, tall, sexy...
“Jordan!” Sage interrupted him.
Sean and Lily shook their heads confused.
“Damn, I'm sorry. I g
ot carried away.” He smiled at Sage. “I was supposed to say we had an award winning photographer create your gift.”
Trent got up and retrieved a large package from the back of the room bringing it to the couple.
Lily looked over at Sage and smiled at her. They tore open the wrapping to find a large expertly framed photo of the two of them with Lily smiling at Sean, her dimples sparkling in the light.
“Sage, how did you take this picture?” Lily asked amazed.
“It wasn't hard Lily. You're always looking at Sean like that.”
Lily smiled at him again. “I know. You're right.”
“It's beautiful Sage. Thank you so much,” Sean said smiling.
“Thank you everyone. You all are the best family,” Lily told them.
They all hugged and kissed the couple goodbye. Sean led Lily to their car and Jordan took his wife and daughter in their car. Ray walked Isabelle to her car and opened the door for her. He leaned down and whispered in her ear. “Tonight, Lesson Six.”
Isabelle smiled and nodded. “I'll see you soon Isabelle.”
He helped her into her car and began walking to his own when he spotted Trent and Isis talking at her car. He watched as Trent smiled down at her and Isis returned his smile. Trent stepped closer and Isis looked up at him before stretching to whisper something in his ear. He smiled and nodded. She smiled again before getting into her car.
Ray shook his head. These damn kids.
*********
Sean drove Lily to his house after their engagement dinner party. They took a seat on the sofa and Lily laid her head on his chest.
“So other than the Shana moments, did you enjoy the party?” Sean asked.
“Other than the Shana moments, yes.”
He laughed. “That was something.”
Lily looked up at him. “May I ask how the two of you got together? To be honest she really doesn't seem like your type.”
“She wasn't, but I was lonely. My father had died and my mother was gone.”
Lily nodded. “That was a hard time for you.”
“Yes, very much so.”
