D. I. Ghost: A Detective Inspector Ghost Murder Investigation Page 26

by Lauren White

Not all the time.

Are you two working on another case?

  We're thinking about it.

She doesn't need to know we're already investigating the suave young doctor with a cocaine habit who killed her business partner, Denise, through his negligence.

I don't want the house filled with ghosts though, Kate, she warns. I have the boys to think of.

  Spirits, I correct.

I decide to ignore the implication that we are somehow bad for my nephews. And, I make no promise to her on numbers either. It is a little late for that anyway.

Maybe we should go, Denise whispers to the others who are standing around the kitchen, listening to our conversation.

Don't be silly, Bim replies, smiling reassuringly at everyone. As long as Jethro and Caleb go on keeping their mouths shut... for a price, Denise interjects....how's she going to know?

  THE END

Thank you for reading my book. If you enjoyed it, please tell your friends.
