The Vatican: (Standalone) (The Holy Trinity Series Book 5) Page 12

“Since now,” I replied. “So, what are you doing? How are you?”

Ciro scrunched her nose up at me. “Like you care?” she sassed.

“I do,” I retorted. “I care very much since you spend most your days thinking up ways to dethrone me or take over.”

  Mattia laughed. “He’s not wrong.”

Cira rolled her eyes. “It’s hardly worth pursuing now that you’re married,” she griped. “Dad would probably find a way to make Ria a stand-in until he married her off to Sal Jr. or-”

“Watch it,” I bit out. I hated when they talked about my marriage to Ria like any husband would do.

Cira smirked as she hopped off the pool table. “If you really want me off your back, get pregnant, and that solves that.”

“Jesus, Cira,” Ria rushed out. “I’m not getting knocked up just because you’re crazy.”

“I’m not crazy,” Cira argued. “I’m cunning.”

Mattia snorted. “You’re crazy, girl. The entire family knows it.”

She looked over at Mattia. “You just refuse to see my potential,” she accused.

Mattia stood up and drank the rest of her drink. She was wise enough to know that girl time was over now that I was home. “You’re wrong,” Mattia countered. “We all see your potential and it’s terrifying as hell.”

“You just have no ambition, Matty,” Cira tossed back, but we all knew she was lying. Mattia Mancini would most likely be the next Holy Ghost. She and her sister, Bianca, were deadly with guns and any real weapon.

Mattia rolled her eyes. “Come on, Cira.” She winked my way. “Let’s leave the newlyweds in peace.”

Cira snorted. “Newlyweds, my ass. They’ve been tied at the hip since birth.”

Mattia grabbed Cira by the arm and dragged her along. “Come on, you nut job.” Cira grumble, but she didn’t put up a fight.

Ria laughed as they left. “Your sister is insane,” she remarked.

  “Preach. Choir,” I retorted.

Ria grinned. “I sometimes wonder about the man who will marry all that one day.”

I let out a chuckle. “God help the poor bastard.” Then I leaned down and kissed her on the lips. “Hi, honey. I’m home.”

Ria grabbed the lapels of my suit jacket and pulled me around until I was standing between her spread legs. “I think you can do better than that,” she muttered against my lips.

My hands found her thick hips. “Been waiting for me to get home, huh, Fiore?”

“I got home from work and had a few drinks with the girls. It only seems logical that you taking care of my other needs would come next,” she teased.

I stepped farther in between her legs. “Are there specific needs you had in mind?”

Her hands reached out, unbuttoned my suit jacket, and pushed it off my shoulders. I didn’t say anything when she noticed the lack of holster. But her hands reached around, and it was the sexiest fucking thing on earth when she pulled the gun from my waistband and set it behind her on the bar top. Every girl in the family knew her way around firearms, so safety wasn’t an issue. But I loved how she didn’t flinch whenever I was armed, which, let’s face it, was most of the time.

Her prismed gaze met mine as she said, “You know, I wouldn’t mind stripping you down and watching you jack off.”

“Jesus,” I choked out. The girl didn’t hold back in the bedroom, that’s for sure. “Baby, do you really think I’ll be able to have my dick out and not have you bouncing on it?”

Her eyes smoldered and, fuck, she was stunning. “I always want you inside me, Francisco,” she confessed in a lust-filled whisper, and I knew she meant every word. She used my first name, after all.

“Yeah?” I rasped out, my hands tightening on her hips. “Can’t get enough of my cock?”

She shook her head shamelessly. “I ache for you,” she said, surprising me that she wanted me to know all this. I knew she was still suffering from some of the aftermath of everything that had happened and, while she gave her all in the bedroom, this is the first time she’s been vocal about what she felt for me. She begged me to fuck her all the time, but she’s never confessed to aching for me.

“Maybe we should take that honeymoon after all,” I suggested. “No work. No parents. No siblings. Just you and me and a bed.”

Her gaze fell to my lips and back up to my eyes again. “Maybe we should.”

I dropped my forehead to hers. “I want to wreck you, Luca” I said, making a confession of my own. “I want you addicted to my touch and dependent on me for everything.” It was the truth. This girl needed no man, and that’s why I wanted her to need me. “I want you to call me during the day and beg me to come home because you need what only I can give you.”

“Give it to me now,” she demanded.

“I love you, Luca,” I said.

And like the night of our wedding, she said, “Make me believe it.”

  Epilogue

  Francisco – (Six Months Later)~

There was no better way to wake up than to have your wife’s mouth wrapped around your cock.

My hands slid into the softness of her dark hair, and I held on as Ria’s mouth worked its magic, and she had me pushing up to meet her throat. “Baby…”

Ria worked my cock until I was ready to explode, and then she climbed up until she was straddling my hips. I watched through hooded lids as she sank down over my cock. My hands grabbed her hips, and we worked in perfect harmony to bring us both to the edge of what only we could do for each other.

Exhausted and spent, Ria was sprawled out on my chest, my fingers making random patterns across her back. “To what do I owe the pleasure?” I teased.

“It’s your favorite way to wake me up, so I thought I’d return the favor,” she teased back.

“That wasn’t a complaint, mind you,” I clarified. We’ve been married six months already, and we were still insatiable in bed.

Things have also gone back to a relatively normal life for what is normal for us. Ria worked things about with everyone, and everyone’s done their best to move past it all. It helped that Ria seemed genuinely happy, and if she felt her marriage was lacking, she didn’t show it.

“I forgot to tell you,” she piped up. “I found a paper with names listed in the FB column and names listed in the CB column.”

  “Jesus, that girl,” I grumbled.

“Seems she was right,” Ria chuckled. “I think getting me pregnant is the only way to stop her.”

“Where was your name listed,” I joked.

  Kind of.

“Under FB,” she replied. “Besides, Cira has to know I’d never go against the man I love.”

My entire body still underneath her.

  The man I love.

I knew she could hear my heart start to thunder underneath her ear. “So, I take it you’re done punishing me?”

Ria sat up and stared down at me. “I think I am,” she whispered.

  “Say it,” I commanded.

“I love you, Francisco,” she breathed. “I’m pretty sure I’ve always loved you. I just wasn’t sure if you loved me.”

I took her face in my hands. “And you believe me now?”

“That’s the thing,” she said. “I don’t need to believe you. My love for you is enough.”

I flipped us over until she was pinned under my body. I stared down at the stubborn girl beneath me. “Tell me what you need? Tell me what to do, Luca,” I begged. “I’ll do anything.”

“Nothing, Francisco,” she replied. “You’re doing everything perfectly. I’ll get here eventually, but I just wanted you to know that, even if I don’t, my love for you is enough for me. It’s enough to set me free.”

“One day you’re going to believe me,” I vowed.

She smiled. “One day, I just might.”

Instead of fighting a battle I knew she had to conquer on her own, I said, “How about we work on those kids to get Cira off my back?”

  Ria laughed. “I was h
oping you’d be on board with that plan.” She reached up and touched my cheek. “I’d love nothing more than to have a dozen little Benettis with you.”

“By the time I’m done, believe that our kids are going to be able to say their father loves their mother more than anything in the world,” I told her.

“Then let’s get going with that plan,” she whispered.

  “Let’s,” I agreed

I spent the rest of the night making her wish a reality.

We ended up with six kids: four boys and two girls.

Cira ended up giving up on her plan to overthrow us men.

And it only took two years before my wife finally came up to me one night and told me she could finally feel it.

Finally feel what it was like to have a marriage like our parents.

  The End.
