“But why wash out the hair color to come here?” I asked, knowing she’s not the type of person to care what people think of her.
“Because, Vick, what you don’t know about me is that this is home…” she said softly and her face paled as if the words were painful for her.
“What do you mean? You’re from New York City?” I asked with a surprised tone. I knew she wasn’t from Thunder Bay because it was a small enough town to know who’s who, but I figured she came from one of the bigger cities in Canada since she didn’t like to talk about her past.
“Yeah, Vick, I’m from here, my family lived not too far away from this building,” she admitted. “I know what you are thinking. Why have I lived this poor life on the streets and just barely getting by when I was born rich, right?” She wrapped her arms around her waist and gave her arm a small rub almost as if she was consoling herself.
“Nessa, you know I’m not judging you, if you want to share with me I’m listening. I was just surprised to see you….so …..uh….blonde…” I repeated the word blonde because it still hadn’t settled with me. I leaned forward and gave her a small hug. She rubbed my back.
“Sorry, Vick, you were talking about this long lost father in New York, and well, I thought it was pretty ironic. I mean what are the chances of meeting some drunk girl in a bar in Thunder Bay, Ontario and our stories are so similar, right?” she laughed to herself. Her voice was shrill and her hand landed on her chest almost as if she was controlling her laughter, or maybe she was trying to steady herself. She was speaking so fast that I could tell she was nervous. She was making me nervous.
“I don’t understand what you are saying…” I trailed off. I was suddenly panicked that Bryce had another long lost daughter and the color must have drained from my face.
“Oh no, honey,” Nessa responded quickly. I think reading into my assumption. “We don’t share the same daddy. My daddy is in politics, not business, even though those two things are closely knit together here in America,” she explained and I exhaled a long breath. I don’t know why the thought just didn’t sit well with me.
“Are you okay to be back here?” I asked, worried. She must have left this place at such a young age because something wasn’t good for her here.
“Yeah, I wanted to be close to you, maybe it was a sign that I should come home. I had dyed my hair black because I was a missing child, Vicky, and I didn’t want to be found, but now I am grown up, no one can force me back anywhere. I just need to find a way to stand on my own two feet. Maybe I can find a job tending bar or waitressing like I did back in Thunder Bay.”
I didn’t want to press Nessa knowing that family trouble could be hard to discuss. Clearly there was a reason she left this lavish style of living after her mom died. Her father must be a real jerk.
“Yeah, so I was kind of telling you on the phone the other night….I met a man,” I paused, as if I told her I was growing a third boob and her eyes widened as if I did say I was. After explaining the situation with Luc, she plastered on a happy face, probably because she didn’t believe in happily ever after’s and she didn’t want to rain on my parade. I’m not sure I believed in them either. The only thing I did know was that Luc was one of the good guys and thinking of him caused my lips to curve up.
“I told Luc I would text him, we made plans to grab dinner. You should join us,” I knocked her shoulder.
“No way, Vick. I don’t want to be a third wheel,” she said shaking her head continuously.
“Don’t be ridiculous, besides I have an idea,” I drawled.
“Oh yeah, what?” She looked at me intrigued and I could only imagine she had a party on her mind. “How are the parties here? Are they as good as back home?” she asked with excitement in her tone. Yup, I knew it!
“Ness, I’m not doing parties anymore, I told Luc that I would try the relationship thing with him,” I explained hesitantly. I knew she would feel like she was losing her party mate but there was more to our friendship than parties anyway. As I predicted she pouted.
“I told you I have an idea, we are going on a double date,” I giggled like a schoolgirl. I, Vicky Molino, am giddy.
“Excuse me, Vick, did I hear you right?” she asked, widening her bright blue eyes. Without the heavy black makeup around her eyes and the jet-black hair she actually looked like a southern belle. I was still trying to get used to this new look, she was beautiful and sexy either way, this was just different.
“I have a cousin I met today, he seemed nice. I am going to ask Luc to see if Brad wants to join us for dinner. He knows I’m Bryce’s daughter. Bryce sent him to me because he ditched me for lunch today.”
“I’m sorry, Vick,” Nessa said, placing an arm on my shoulder trying to gauge my emotions.
“No worries, Bryce is a busy man, I am trying to understand,” I said, while I typed a text to Luc on my phone. His response was just as funny as Nessa’s. Brad was a womanizer and he asked if I was sure I wanted to expose Nessa to him. To me, Brad seemed kind and friendly and we shared a similar past. The four of us had been orphaned even though for Luc and I, we were grown up when it happened.
Me: Luc please just set this up. It will be fun!
Luc: Anything for you pretty girl.
I stood up from the couch and rolled my eyes at his text, even though it caused a warm delicious feeling to circulate through my body.
“Okay, I am going to take a shower, Ness, did you settle into the empty room?”
“Yeah, I didn’t bring much with me but it’s all in bedroom one, I’ve showered already. Do I need to change into a dress or something?” she said, looking down to her ripped jeans and t-shirt.
“Uh maybe, yeah… but nothing too slutty, Ness, you know how it is on this end of town,” I said referring to the richer end of town. Even the sex parties had been classy.
“You got it, babe, I will go change,” she huffed. “Who would have thought I would be blonde and double dating,” she called out as she left the main room. I threw my head back laughing because if anyone would have bet me that this is where I would be a month ago, I would have told them they were batshit crazy.

Not even an hour later, Luc was knocking on the door dressed in the black leather jacket that he wore the first night we met. As I leaned in to kiss him the smell of the leather wafted up my nose, boosting my libido into overdrive. How was I going to get through an evening on a double date without having to jump his bones?
A moment later Nessa came out to the main room, her blonde hair blown out and wearing a purple slinky dress.
“Luc, this is my friend Nessa from back home,” I said introducing the two of them.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Luc,” Nessa said, extending her hand. Luc shook her hand in return.
“Nice to meet you,” he replied with his raspy accent. Nessa looked over to me approvingly, and I couldn’t help the giggle that erupted in my chest. A moment later we had grabbed our jackets and went down to the black SUV that was parked in its usual spot in front of the building. The drive to the restaurant was quiet and I could feel Luc’s heated gaze on me the whole time. When he took my hand in his, I gave it to him willingly. The SUV stopped in front of a posh bar and Luc continued to hold my hand as we made our way to the front door. It was a cool night with a brisk wind and as usual the streets of Manhattan were bustling. A moment later another black SUV pulled up to the curb and Brad stepped out. He looked like he was ready for a night on the town in a white button down shirt that was fitted to his muscular body. The first couple buttons had been purposefully left open revealing a sculpted chest. He looked smart with a pair of slim black dress pants. His blue eyes gleamed in the darkness as he saw Luc, Nessa, and I standing out front waiting for him.
“Hey, Vicky,” he leaned in to give me a kiss on the cheek.
Then he smacked Luc on the shoulder, “Hey, big man,” he chuckled.
“Brad this is my friend from back home, Nessa, this is cousin Brad
,” I said, making the introductions.
Brad took her hand and brought it up to his lips. “A pleasure, Nessa,” he said while his eyes raked over every inch of her body. Inwardly I was patting myself on the back. They made for a good-looking couple.
“Nice to meet you, Brad,” Nessa responded with a cool tone as if she wasn’t affected by his hotness or suave ways. I knew better.
“Shall we?” Brad said, opening the front door and motioning for us all to enter. The place was beautiful. Everything was white and shiny with purple fluorescent lighting that radiated off the white furniture giving the place a funky glow. The place was jam packed with people but the hostess showed us to our table right away.
“This way, Brad,” she said as she walked us to a table at the center of the room. She was practically undressing Brad with her eyes. She placed menus on the table and walked away while her eyes stayed glued on Brad. Luc mouthed, I told you so, to me. I threw back my head laughing. Then I nodded my head letting him know that all would be okay.
“What are you ladies drinking tonight?” Brad asked.
“I’ll have a Cosmo,” I responded. Then I wasn’t so sure it was a good idea because Luc didn’t drink. “Are you okay with me drinking?” I whispered in his ear. He turned his head so his lips were grazing my ear. The contact sent shivers down my neck.
“Yes, you are a big girl and if you want to drink then drink,” he whispered back, while placing his hand on my thigh under the table.
“I’ll have a Cosmo too.” Nessa smiled.
The waitress came around and Brad ordered the drinks for everyone like he was in charge. I noticed Nessa’s eyes sparkle as she watched him in action. The waitress brought around our drinks and a sparkling water for Luc. Then we ordered a bunch of appetizers from the menu. The place was nice with upbeat music and a large dance floor off to the back. The four of us sat enjoying the food, the drinks, and the company.
“You want to dance, Nessa?” Brad asked looking to her. He had already stood up so either he knew she would say yes or he was going to dance without her anyway.
“Sure,” Nessa replied extending her hand as she stood up from the table. Luc’s hand continued to rub my thigh, only now he was moving up and my heart rate accelerated with each inch he got closer to the apex of my thighs.
“Luc,” I breathed out.
“Let’s get out of here,” he responded with a hoarse voice.
“You’re okay with this?” I suddenly asked. Me, who didn’t think twice about sleeping with strangers, was considering his feelings. “What changed from this morning?” I asked, remembering his fingers running over my scalp. He wouldn’t touch anything but my head.
“I had all morning to think. You know the truth about me and you haven’t run away…I know what you need, and although I do believe I’m not good enough for you, I’ve always been selfish when I want something. Right now I want you, I need to bury my dick so deep inside you that I can’t focus on anything else right now,” he exclaimed, as his finger gently rubbed my clitoris through my panties. I was a hot pool of desire in the center of the restaurant. “If you don’t leave with me now, I will make you come here,” he said with his voice filled with promise. Holy hell, he’s so damn intense.
“That does sound enticing, Luc…you know I like public displays of sex…” I smirked then raised my brow almost challenging him. Of course this establishment was not the type to welcome open displays of sex, I was just playing with him.
“I would much rather take you home to my bed, and fuck you seven ways to Sunday, so that I can hear you call out my name and trust me, Vicky, it will be so much hotter and intimate than the public displays of sex you are used to. I want that hot pussy of yours wrapped around my dick….” he continued and I put up my hand to stop him. My chest rose and fell rapidly, and I’m sure I looked flushed.
“Take me home, Luc, take me home now,” I answered and I was almost begging.
“Your wish is my command, pretty girl,” he said, pulling his fingers away from my clit. Between his subtle strokes and hot words I was close to having an orgasm at the table. Luc stood first and extended his hand.
“Let me just tell Nessa we are leaving, maybe she needs a ride back to the apartment.” I said as my heart beat rapidly in my chest.
“Okay, although I hope she doesn’t need to ride back with us, I need you alone,” he said, releasing my hand. I made my way to the back of the restaurant. The music was louder back there and the dance floor was full of sweaty bodies bumping and grinding to the beat of the music. I finally made it over to Nessa, who was rubbing her behind into Brad.
I walked up to Nessa and tapped her shoulder since she hadn’t seen me. “Nessa,” I yelled out.
She turned and looked at me with lazy eyes, she was already drunk. Brad continued to run his hand up the side of her body and I put my mouth on her ear, “Luc and I are leaving, did you want a ride or are you hanging with Brad?”
“She’ll stay with me,” Brad called out while swaying his hips. He turned around and began grinding against another girl.
“Are you sure you want to stay with him, Ness?” I asked, quirking my lips at the side, while watching Brad grind against another girl.
“Yeah, its fun here, Vick, I’m not looking for a relationship, I could care less if he wants to fuck every other girl here. He said he may come to a party with me tomorrow,” she drawled.
I rolled my eyes at her. “He’s my cousin, Ness.”
“So…you said you’re taking a break, I need a new partner,” she answered, as if Brad was the obvious replacement.
“Okay, hon,” I gave her a hug. Brad left the girl he was dancing with and came up to me.
“Don’t worry I will get her home, I have a driver,” he yelled into my ear and then placed a kiss on my cheek.
“Okay, Brad,” I nodded.
Luc was right, maybe Brad wasn’t the best set up for Nessa but what’s done is done. I turned and made my way back to Luc. He would be happy we have alone time.
I walked back to Luc and he took my hand possessively as we made our way outside. I like that he was trying to stake his claim on me. I wondered if it was because some guys were checking me out on the way back to him. As we stepped back out into the cool night, I began to shiver as we walked up to the SUV waiting for us. Luc placed his arm around me and I basked in his warmth. When we got into the SUV this time we were seated close to one another.
“Are we doing this?” I asked, looking up to his green eyes that were glowing in the dark night.
“Yeah, we are, the last two years were easy for me, Vicky. All the women before you that I came into contact with were easy on the eyes but there was no pull, there wasn’t this thing that we have between us…” he paused. “It’s like you could see through to my soul since the moment we met.”
“Yeah, I felt that way about you too that first night looking at you, watching you. I was borderline obsessing over you and I didn’t understand why, but now I do,” I admitted with a nervous cackle.
“We are connected,” Luc hissed.
“Yes,” I responded breathless.
“If I kiss you now, we won’t make it up to the apartment and I don’t think I want Jean, my driver, hearing your beautiful moans,” he said with a deep hoarse voice. Geez! I felt like his words just soaked through my panties. His breaths were just as quick as mine and I wondered how we would ever hold on to make it through the drive and up to his apartment.
The SUV finally stopped in front of our building and Luc took my hand, guiding me through the front door.
“Hi, Tim,” I smiled as Luc walked us up to the elevator and pressed the button. He didn’t even acknowledge Tim.
“Hi, Miss Molino, did you have a nice night?” he asked kindly.
“Yes, Tim thank you,” I replied. When I look over to Luc he’s rolling his eyes with exasperation. I wanted to laugh.
The elevator landed in the lobby and Luc stepped on first pulling me in beside him. On
ce the doors closed, he pinned me to the wall.
“Come to my apartment,” he urged with his face so close to mine I could feel his warm breath. I wanted his lips on mine. “I want to hear you scream my name and I can’t have you do that if I know Brad is dropping off your friend.” My heart rate sped up as he placed my arms above my head and kissed me wildly, while pressing his thick length into my stomach. We hadn’t even gotten our clothes off and I was a wanton mess. The moment the elevator landed on the penthouse floor, Luc took my hand guiding me to his front door. After fumbling with the keys for a moment, the door swung open and we stumbled in. Luc kicked it shut and locked it then took my hand guiding me straight up the staircase and back to his lavish old style bedroom. Wow, this was happening, we were going to do this. Warm excitement crawled through my body at the thought of Luc burying himself deep inside me.
I held on to Luc’s hand as we climbed the stairs to the second floor. My hand felt small in his thick larger hand, and thinking of those hands touching me caused my over anxious libido to spin out of control. As we passed the threshold of the master bedroom both of us had flushed cheeks and our breaths were coming at a ragged pace. Luc stared at me, tilting his chin slightly down and gazing into my eyes, maybe asking me for my silent approval. I nodded my head and he took one step forward, placing his hand on my cheek while caressing my skin. I tilted my head into his touch, reveling in the feeling of being wanted not only for sex but also for something so much deeper.
